Paste ten customer domains into Claude, and it profiles them and sizes a lookalike list. Any MCP client works once you connect https://api.leadocean.io/mcp. Setup is on the MCP page.
The prompt
Here are my 10 best customers: acme.com, example.org (replace with your 10 domains).
1. Call leadocean_get_company for each domain. Note industry, employeeRange and hqCountry.
2. Pick the industry and employeeRange values most of them share. List any outliers.
3. Call leadocean_list_enum_values to confirm the exact strings.
4. Call leadocean_count_leads with those industry, employeeRange and hqCountry values.
5. Tell me the profile, the count and the filters. Stop there.
6. Do not call leadocean_search_companies until I say go.What it resolves to
The values below are an example profile for a software vendor. Your ten customers set your own.
| Filter | Value |
|---|---|
| industry | Software Development |
| employeeRange | 51-200, 201-500 |
| hqCountry | US |
Enum values are exact strings, which is why step 3 looks them up.
Step 2 does the real work. If your ten customers split across two industries, count each one on its own instead of passing both, so you see which profile is bigger. An outlier in size or country is usually a one-off deal, not a segment, so leave it out of the first count.
How many match
496,639 mailable people matched on 1 October 2026. Filters: industry Software Development, employeeRange 51-200 or 201-500, hqCountry US.
Mailable means verified, catch_all_valid or catch_all, the count_leads default. This counts people, not companies, so the company list is much shorter. The count is free.
What you get back
Company search returns one row per company. These are placeholder values, not real records.
| Company | Company size | Industry | Country |
|---|---|---|---|
| Acme | 51-200 | Software Development | US |
| Example Co | 201-500 | Software Development | US |
| Sample Inc | 51-200 | Software Development | US |
Variations
- Add "also match hqContinent Europe" to widen the geography.
- Ask Claude to drop the outliers from step 2 before it counts.
- Swap step 4 for "count people with jobLevel VP or C-Team at those companies".
Records it spends
leadocean_get_company costs 1 record per call, so ten customers cost 10 records. The enum lookup and the count are free. leadocean_search_companies costs 1 record per company returned. Free gives you 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month. See pricing.
