A B2B data API returns people and company records, such as titles, emails and phones, to your code or agent. Engineers, RevOps teams and agent builders need one when lists are too big to work by hand. Vendors price in credits, seats or quotes, so 1M records a month is hard to compare. Rate limits run from 15 requests a minute to 100 a second. Some MCP servers return records. Some only read docs.
This page ranks six APIs on those points, with list prices checked in September 2026. LeadOcean is first for agent and volume buyers. Each rival has its own comparison: BlitzAPI, FullEnrich, Crustdata, People Data Labs and Coresignal. Also read what a B2B data API is, best B2B data providers with an API and best company data APIs.

What we evaluated
- API access: which endpoints return people and companies, and whether Free includes them.
- Rate limit: the default per second or minute, and what raises it.
- MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich, or only read docs.
- Price at volume: flat, credits or quote, and the cost of 1M records.
- Data: stated coverage, email and phone fields.
We ran no accuracy test, so we quote no quality numbers.
