7 Best Company Data APIs in 2026 (Compared)

Seven APIs that return company records by domain or filter, compared on list price, rate limits and MCP access, with the cost of 1M company enrichments.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

A company data API returns firmographic records, such as industry, headcount, location, funding and tech stack, for a domain or a filter. Engineers, RevOps teams and agent builders use one to enrich an account list or build one from scratch. Vendors sell it in credits, seats or quotes, so the price of 1M company records is hard to compare.

Rate limits run from 15 requests a minute to 10,000 a second. Some MCP servers return records, and some do not exist. This page ranks seven APIs on those points, with list prices checked in September 2026.

LeadOcean is first for API, agent and volume buyers. Several rivals have their own comparison: Crustdata, People Data Labs, Coresignal, Apollo and ZoomInfo. See also what a B2B data API is and best B2B data providers with an API.

What we evaluated

  • Lookup and search: whether you look a company up by domain, by name or by filter, and what a search costs.
  • Coverage: the company count each vendor states, and the fields on a record.
  • Price at volume: flat, credits, seats or quote, and the cost of 1M enrichments.
  • Rate limit: the default per second or minute, and what raises it.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich, and how it signs in.

We ran no accuracy test, so we quote no quality numbers. To compare match rates, send the same 200 domains to each free plan and count the records that come back.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers

LeadOcean holds 67M companies and 693M people in one database. Company search has 34 filters, including industry, headcount bracket, headquarters country, funding stage and detected website technology. POST /v1/companies/search lists companies and POST /v1/companies/enrich turns a domain or a LinkedIn company URL into a full record (LeadOcean docs, September 2026).

Each company record also counts the people we hold there (company_number_of_profiles). GET /v1/companies/{domain}/people lists them, up to 10,000 rows. Sizing a search is free: send count=true with limit 1.

Solo is $97 a month and Agency $497, with no credits: each paid plan has a fair-use pace, and Agency's is 1M enrichments a day. Rate limits are 5 requests a second on Free, 50 on Solo and 200 on Agency. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and has 13 tools, including leadocean_get_company, leadocean_search_companies and the free leadocean_count_companies.

Pros

  • Agency is $497 a month with no credit meter or overage invoice. Reaching the pace slows the key, it does not stop it.
  • 200 requests a second on Agency, 10,000 on Platform.
  • GET /v1/companies/count sizes a company list for free, with breakdowns by industry, headcount band and HQ country.
  • A company we hold nothing for is a free 404. Counts and filter lists are free too.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, with the same data in both.

Cons

  • 67M companies is fewer than People Data Labs lists, and fewer than Coresignal and ZoomInfo claim.
  • Technology data covers about 7.8M crawled sites.
  • No lookup by company name. Search with the name filter first, then enrich the domain.
  • No job postings, headcount history or change watchers.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need company records at volume and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo $97, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. CompanyEnrich: best for company-first enrichment at published prices

CompanyEnrich is built around companies. It lists 33M+ companies and 193M+ professional profiles (CompanyEnrich, September 2026). Enrichment takes a domain or properties such as a name or LinkedIn URL, at 1 credit a call (CompanyEnrich docs, September 2026).

Starter is $49 a month for 5,000 credits, Pro is $149 for 50,000 and Scale is $549 for 500,000 (CompanyEnrich pricing, September 2026). That is $0.0098 a credit on Starter and $0.0011 on Scale. Search is 1 credit per company returned, and the count call is free. Rate limits are 60 requests a minute on Starter, 120 on Pro and 600 on Scale.

The MCP server takes your API key as a bearer token (CompanyEnrich docs, September 2026). Semantic search and lookalike discovery cost 2 and 5 credits per company.

Pros

  • Public prices at three tiers, down to $0.0011 a credit.
  • Company enrichment by name or LinkedIn URL, not only by domain.
  • Free count calls, and export jobs of up to 50,000 companies.
  • Lookalike and semantic search that LeadOcean does not have.

Cons

  • 33M+ companies is the smallest index on this list apart from Apollo's 30 million.
  • The price of extra credits and annual plans is not published.
  • Scale stops at 500,000 credits a month, so 1M needs a custom deal.

Best for: teams that enrich from a CRM export and want to see the price per credit before signing up.

Pricing: Starter $49, Pro $149 and Scale $549 a month. Free trial is 500 credits (CompanyEnrich pricing, September 2026).

3. People Data Labs: best for licensed company datasets

people-data-labs homepage

People Data Labs (PDL) lists 76,606,079 company records on its own stats page (PDL docs, September 2026). Company Pro starts at $100 a month for 1,000 records, or $960 billed yearly. PDL advises Enterprise above 400,000 company profiles a year (PDL pricing, September 2026).

Company data is priced apart from person data. Company Enrichment allows 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans and 10 on Free. Company Search allows 10 a minute (PDL docs, September 2026).

PDL also licenses whole datasets as files for your own warehouse (PDL docs, September 2026). Its docs index lists no official MCP server (PDL docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • The largest company count here that a vendor publishes on its own stats page.
  • Dataset licences for teams that load data into their own warehouse.
  • 1,000 enrichment requests a minute on paid plans.

Cons

  • $0.10 a company at the entry rate ($100 for 1,000 records), and Enterprise above 400,000 a year.
  • Company Search defaults to 10 requests a minute.
  • No official MCP server in the docs index.
  • Company and person data sit on separate plans.

Best for: data teams that license files or enrich a few hundred thousand companies a year.

Pricing: Company Pro $100 a month for 1,000 records, $960 billed yearly. Enterprise custom (PDL pricing, September 2026).

4. Coresignal: best for job postings and daily company updates

coresignal homepage

Coresignal sells company, employee and job records on credits. Its homepage claims 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings, with company data delivered daily (Coresignal, September 2026).

A Base company record costs 10 credits and a multi-source record 20. A job posting costs 1, and search by filter is free (Coresignal docs, September 2026). Plans run from Mini at $49 a month for 2,500 credits, which is 250 Base company records, to Elite at $5,000 for 10,000,000 (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

Rate limits are 5 requests a second on Free, Mini and Starter, 10 on Pro and 100 on Scale (Coresignal docs, September 2026). Bulk Collect takes up to 10,000 records a request. The MCP server has 5 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.1 (Coresignal docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Job postings at 1 credit each, next to company records.
  • Free search by filter, and daily company updates.
  • Flat-file datasets from $1,000 a month for warehouse loads.
  • MCP server with OAuth 2.1.

Cons

  • A Base company record is 10 credits, so entry plans buy few records.
  • 1M Base records uses the full 10,000,000 credits of the top public plan, Elite.
  • The free trial is 2,000 credits for 7 days and does not carry to a paid plan.
  • Entry plans are capped at 5 requests a second.

Best for: teams that track hiring signals and want company records beside job postings.

Pricing: Mini $49, Starter $199, Pro $499 and Growth $1,000 a month and up. Starter is $2,149 billed yearly (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

5. Crustdata: best for live company data and change watchers

crustdata homepage

Crustdata sells company and people data through APIs for search, enrichment, jobs and watchers. Its homepage states two company counts, 60M and 200M+, so this page quotes neither as the total (Crustdata, September 2026).

The pricing page lists no plans or dollar prices (Crustdata pricing, September 2026). Company enrich costs 2 to 4 credits. Company search is 0.03 credits per result, and company identify and autocomplete are free (Crustdata docs, September 2026). A company watcher is 5 credits per changed company on a 30-day schedule.

Default limits are 15 requests a minute on company enrich and 30 on search (Crustdata docs, September 2026). The hosted MCP server signs in with OAuth, or takes an API key as a bearer token for code (Crustdata docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Free company identify and autocomplete calls.
  • Change watchers for companies, and live data endpoints.
  • Hosted MCP server.

Cons

Best for: AI SDR and signal workflows that need fresh company data more than raw volume.

Pricing: Credit based, no public price list. One Crustdata blog post reports a lowest tier of $95 a month (Crustdata blog, September 2026).

6. Apollo: best for teams that already work in Apollo

apollo homepage

Apollo is a sales platform with a data API on every plan. Its pricing page states 30 million companies (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Organization enrichment costs 1 credit (Apollo docs, September 2026).

Credits come per seat. Basic is $65 a seat a month for 2,500 credits ($49 billed yearly), and Professional is $99 for 4,000. Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, including add-on credits. The price of an extra credit is not public.

Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans and 50 on Free (Apollo docs, September 2026). The official MCP server works on any plan, including Free (Apollo docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • API access and an official MCP server on every plan.
  • 1,000 enrichment requests a minute on paid plans.
  • Sequences and a dialer in the same product.

Cons

  • Seat-based credits: 1M enrichments a month is 250 Professional seats.
  • Credits do not roll over.
  • The smallest company index here, at 30 million.

Best for: sales teams that want company data inside the platform they already pay for.

Pricing: Free with 75 credits a month. Basic $65, Professional $99 and Organization $149 per seat a month (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

7. ZoomInfo GTM.AI: best for pay-as-you-go access to ZoomInfo data

ZoomInfo's own pricing page blocked our fetch, so this entry covers GTM.AI, its pay-as-you-go API and MCP product. Search, lookup and find-similar are free. One data credit enriches or exports one company, contact or intent record (GTM.AI docs, September 2026).

Credits list at $0.45 each for 100 credits and fall to $0.25 at 100,000 credits for $25,000. Larger volumes go to Enterprise (GTM.AI pricing, September 2026). A record is charged once in 12 months. Free signup gives 1,000 data credits with no card.

ZoomInfo claims 100M+ companies for its MCP server, which needs a GTM.AI account or an existing ZoomInfo plan with data credits (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026). Rate limits run from 5 requests a second on Builder to 35 on Scaling (GTM.AI docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Free search and lookup, so you pay only to enrich.
  • The largest claimed company count here, at 100M+.
  • Credits do not expire while the account is active.

Cons

  • $0.25 a credit is the lowest published rate, and the slider stops at 100,000 credits.
  • Credits per record, so cost grows with every company.
  • A company, a contact and an intent record each cost one credit, so mixed pulls add up.

Best for: teams that want ZoomInfo data through an API or agent without an annual contract.

Pricing: Free with 1,000 data credits. Pay as you go from $20, at $0.45 down to $0.25 a credit (GTM.AI pricing, September 2026).
