An enrichment takes one thing you already hold, such as a domain, a LinkedIn URL or an email, and returns the rest of the record. LeadOcean covers 693M people and 63M companies. Person lookups run on POST /v1/people/enrich, which takes exactly one of linkedin_url, email, phone or person_id. Company lookups run on POST /v1/companies/enrich, which takes a domain or a linkedin_url. Contact lookups for work email, personal email and phone use GET /v2/people/.... The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp exposes 12 tools, and the enrichment pages name the one each lookup calls.
People: contact details

How to choose
- You have a LinkedIn URL and need an address or number. Start with Find Work Email or Find Phone Number. Both take a LinkedIn URL or a person id.
- You have an email or phone and need the person. Use Email to LinkedIn or Reverse Phone Lookup. Both return the identity, not the full profile.
- You have only a name and a company. There is no name plus domain lookup. Search by domain first, then enrich by
person_id. - You want one field for a whole account list. Use the company pages. Revenue and funding are thin for small private companies, so read them as a bonus.
- You work in an agent, not code. Use the MCP page for the lookup. It names the tool and gives a prompt to try.
FAQ
What does an enrichment cost?
Every person or company returned counts as 1 record. A person lookup that finds nobody is a 404 and costs nothing. A call to a /v2 contact endpoint costs 1 record even when it finds nothing. See pricing.
Is there a cheaper path for large batches?
Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited enrichments inside fair use and no per-record price. Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Both plans get the same API and MCP server.
Do I need the API or can I use MCP?
Either. The REST endpoints and the 12 MCP tools read the same database and bill the same record. Use REST in a pipeline and MCP when an agent runs the lookup. The waterfall enrichment explainer covers chaining several sources.
