Best B2B data providers with an API

7 Best B2B Data Providers With an API in 2026

Seven providers that return people and company records over an API, ranked by fit for code, agents and volume, with list prices and the cost of 1M records a month.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

A B2B data provider with an API sells people and company records, such as titles, work emails and phone numbers, that your code or agent can search and enrich on demand. Engineers, RevOps teams and agent builders need one when lists outgrow a UI and the bill has to be predictable. Four things separate the providers: price model (flat, credits or seats), rate limit, whether an MCP server returns records, and what 1M records a month costs.

This page ranks seven providers on those points, with list prices checked in September and October 2026. LeadOcean is first for readers who pull data through an API, an agent or at volume. Each rival has its own comparison: BlitzAPI, Apollo, FullEnrich, ZoomInfo, Lusha and People Data Labs. New to the term? Start with what a B2B data API is. For narrower lists, read best B2B data APIs and best company data APIs.

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price.

What we evaluated

  • API access: which endpoints return people and companies, and whether the free plan includes them.
  • Rate limit: the default per second or minute, and what raises it.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich, or only read docs.
  • Price model and seats: flat, credits, seats or quote, and what the vendor charges for a lookup that finds nothing.
  • Cost at volume: the list price of 1M work-email lookups a month, or the reason no such price exists.

Every provider gets the same input: 1M work-email lookups that return a result in one month, priced from the vendor's own pages. Where a vendor publishes no price at that volume, the table says so and we do not multiply a rate out. We ran no accuracy test, so we quote no quality numbers.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers

LeadOcean is a people and company data API with a hosted MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. You filter with 50 people and 34 company filters.

Enrichment is POST /v1/people/enrich, search is POST /v1/people/search, phones are GET /v2/people/phone, and POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows a request. A sizing call is free: send count=true as a query parameter with limit 1.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"title": ["CTO"], "country": ["CA"], "limit": 1}'

Paid plans are flat: Solo is $97 a month at 50 requests a second, and Agency is $497 a month at 200 requests a second with 5 API keys. There are no credits and no overage invoice. Each plan has a fair-use pace instead. Past it, calls of that kind slow to one request a minute until the window resets (LeadOcean limits, October 2026).

The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools. Free gets the same API and MCP server as the paid plans, at 5 requests a second. Person enrich also returns career history: past roles, education and certifications. At 200 requests a second, 1M single calls take about 1.4 hours.

Pros

  • Flat monthly plans with a fair-use pace, no credit meter and no seats to count.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • 200 requests a second per account on Agency, and 10,000 on Platform.
  • Free counts, and a miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.

Cons

  • No sequencer, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension. The app has an Exports page, not a rep workspace.
  • v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, including a call that finds nothing.
  • No refund for bounced emails. Read email_status before you send.
  • One search pages to 10,000 rows, so a large pull needs narrower filters.

Best for: engineers and agent builders who need volume and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records for life, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. BlitzAPI: best for a second flat-price API

BlitzAPI sells people, company, email and phone data on flat monthly plans. It lists 550M+ profiles, 65M+ companies, 65M+ verified work emails and 45M+ US phone numbers (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Every plan has the same data and endpoints. Start is $99 a month at 10 requests a second per endpoint, with a fair use policy of 200,000 records a month. Scale is $499 at 25 a second and 5,000,000 records. Build Your Infra starts at $999 a month and is set on a call (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026).

A record is one company, person, email or phone returned, and a call that finds nothing counts nothing. At the limit, calls pause until the next cycle. Billing is monthly, and only Build Your Infra carries an SLA. Its hosted MCP server at https://api.blitz-api.ai/mcp returns data through 20 tools (BlitzAPI MCP, October 2026).

Pros

  • Flat monthly price, and Scale's 5,000,000 records a month sits far above 1M.
  • Misses are not billed.
  • 1,000 free records to try, no card.

Cons

Best for: teams that run their own code and want a second flat-price API.

Pricing: Start $99 and Scale $499 a month, billed monthly. Build Your Infra from $999 a month (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026).

3. Apollo: best for teams that want a sales UI and an API

apollo homepage

Apollo is a sales platform with an API on every plan, including Free (Apollo developer FAQ, September 2026). It sells credits per seat, and the team pools them.

An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8. People enrichment by API costs 1 to 9 credits, and organization enrichment costs 1 (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, including purchased add-ons.

Paid plans allow 1,000 enrichment calls a minute with no hourly or daily cap. Search allows 200 a minute and 50,000 a day, and bulk people enrichment takes 10 people per request (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). Apollo runs an official MCP server on any plan, and enrichment through it spends the same credits (Apollo docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • API and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • 1,000 enrichment calls a minute on paid plans.
  • A full sales UI next to the API.

Cons

  • Credits are per seat. 1M work-email lookups is 1,000,000 credits, which is 250 Professional seats.
  • Credits do not roll over.
  • Apollo prints no price for extra credits, so you cannot price an add-on path.

Best for: teams that want a UI for reps and an API for the same data.

Pricing: per seat a month, billed monthly: Free $0 for 75 credits, Basic $65 for 2,500, Professional $99 for 4,000, Organization $149 for 6,000 with a 3-seat minimum. Billed yearly: Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 (Apollo pricing, September 2026). At 1M lookups, 250 Professional seats cost $24,750 a month, or $19,600 with 400 Basic seats billed yearly.

4. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles

FullEnrich queries 25+ sources per contact, and you pay only for data it finds. Its pricing page lists search across 800M people and 50M companies (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not-found results cost 0 (FullEnrich credits, September 2026). The API allows 60 calls a minute across enrich, reverse email and search, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).

API, MCP, search and bulk CSV are on every plan, and users are unlimited. The MCP server can search, enrich and export (FullEnrich help, September 2026).

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources in one call.
  • Unlimited users and API access on every plan.
  • Unused credits roll over 3 months on monthly plans.

Cons

  • A mobile costs 10 credits, so phone-heavy pulls add up.
  • 60 API calls a minute by default, shared across enrich, reverse email and search.
  • Above 100,000 credits a month, you contact sales.

Best for: teams that want waterfall emails and mobiles through an API or an agent.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, or $26 a month billed yearly. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500, and above it the page says contact sales (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

5. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise teams and pay-as-you-go credits

ZoomInfo is an enterprise sales intelligence suite. Its platform plans are quoted by sales, and the vendor says most paid plans bill annually upfront (ZoomInfo, July 2026).

For code, ZoomInfo sells GTM AI, an API, MCP server and CLI on pay-as-you-go credits with no seat fee. A free account gets 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits, no card. List price falls from $0.45 a credit at 100 credits to $0.25 at 100,000, which is $25,000 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).

Search and lookup are free, and a record is charged once per 12 months (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026). Rate limits are 5 requests a second on Builder, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026). Batch enrichment takes at most 25 records per call (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Free search and lookup, so an agent can scope before it spends credits.
  • A record is charged once a year, so repeat enrichment inside that window costs nothing.
  • Official MCP server for the main agent clients.

Cons

  • The public credit slider stops at 100,000 credits. Beyond that is a quote.
  • Platform prices are not public, and terms are annual.
  • The MCP server needs a GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription with data credits (GTM AI docs, September 2026).

Best for: enterprise sales teams, and builders who want credits they can top up in small amounts.

Pricing: GTM AI credits from $20, $0.45 down to $0.25 each. Platform plans by quote (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).

6. Lusha: best for small sales teams on self-serve credits

lusha homepage

Lusha sells contact data on self-serve credit plans, with a browser extension and an API. Its homepage claims more than 515 million contacts and more than 29 million companies (Lusha, October 2026). Every plan, Free included, gets an API key.

Free is $0 for 40 credits a month. Starter is $49.90 a month for 400 credits, or $37.45 billed yearly. Pro is $69.90 for 600, or $52.45 yearly. Premium is $399.90 for 3,400, or $299.95 yearly (Lusha pricing, September 2026). Scale is custom.

An email costs 1 credit and a phone 5. Email plus phone through one API request is 7 credits. Bulk calls cost 1 credit per 25 results and take up to 100 contacts a request (Lusha API guide, September 2026). The MCP server has 50 tools on the same credit pool as the REST API (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Low entry price, with a free plan and no card.
  • API key and a 50-tool MCP server on the same credits.
  • Data Waterfall at 2 credits per work email on paid plans.

Cons

  • The top public tier is 10,000 credits a month. 1M lookups is 104 times that.
  • Free and Starter cap API use at 100 requests a day.
  • Credits on yearly plans reset at the end of the cycle.

Best for: small sales teams that want a self-serve extension and a light API.

Pricing: Free, then $49.90, $69.90 and $399.90 a month, or $37.45, $52.45 and $299.95 billed yearly (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

7. People Data Labs: best for licensed datasets

people-data-labs homepage

People Data Labs (PDL) is a long-running person and company data API with bulk dataset licences. Its person dataset holds 2.47B profiles, 592M with an email and 470M with a mobile number (PDL datasets, September 2026). That is larger than LeadOcean's 693M people.

One credit is used per successful match, and a 404 is not billed. Bulk enrichment takes up to 100 persons per request (PDL docs, September 2026). Paid plans allow 1,000 enrichment calls a minute, while person search defaults to 10 a minute (PDL docs, September 2026).

Self-serve is meant for volumes below roughly 100,000 person profiles. Above that, PDL sends buyers to Enterprise and sales. PDL's docs index lists no official MCP server (PDL docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • The largest person dataset on this list, with dataset licences for your own warehouse.
  • 1,000 enrichment calls a minute on paid plans.
  • Misses are not billed.

Cons

  • $0.28 a credit at the entry rate.
  • No official MCP server.
  • Person search defaults to 10 requests a minute.

Best for: teams that license data or need a warehouse copy.

Pricing: Free is up to 100 credits a month with contact data obscured. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, or $78 a month billed yearly. PDL says Pro profiles cost about $0.20 to $0.28 each, and there is no public price at 1M (PDL pricing, September 2026).

FAQ

What is the best B2B data provider with an API?

For code, agents and volume, LeadOcean has the flat price, 200 requests a second per account on Agency and an MCP server that returns records. For waterfall mobiles, FullEnrich. For a dataset licence, People Data Labs.

What is the cheapest B2B data provider with an API at 1M records a month?

On list price, LeadOcean Agency and BlitzAPI Scale both cover 1M records for under $500 a month: $497 and $499. Apollo runs to five figures at 1M, and the other four publish no 1M price.

Which of these providers have an MCP server that returns records?

LeadOcean, BlitzAPI, Apollo, FullEnrich, ZoomInfo and Lusha do. We found no official PDL server.

Is a flat price better than credits for an API?

A flat price is one fee at any volume, so a large pull costs the same as a small one. Credits bill per action, and a mobile can cost 10 times an email. Credits suit small, occasional jobs.

Which provider has the highest default rate limit?

LeadOcean allows 200 requests a second per account on Agency and 10,000 on Platform, and Free is 5. BlitzAPI Scale allows 25 a second per endpoint. Apollo and PDL allow 1,000 enrichment calls a minute, about 17 a second.

Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?

No. The free plan needs no card. It gives you 1,000 records for life, with the same data, API and MCP server as the paid plans, at 5 requests a second.

Pull B2B records by API or agent at one flat price. Start free.
