The prompt

text
Score the list below against my ICP.
ICP: VPs and directors of sales at software companies with
51 to 500 employees, based in the US.
1. Call leadocean_list_enum_values for industry and pick the
   software development values.
2. Score each row 0 to 3: one point each for seniority (VP or
director), company size (51-500) and industry (software).
Country must be US or the score is 0.
3. Call leadocean_count_leads with the ICP as filters and tell
me how many people match in total.
4. Show rows sorted by score, then the filters you used.
5. Do not call any tool that spends records.

[paste rows: title, company size, industry, country]

What it resolves to

FilterValue
seniorityvp, director
jobFunctionSales & Business Development
industrySoftware Development, Computer Software
employeeRange51-200, 201-500
countryUS

Enum values are exact strings, which is why step 1 looks them up. "Software" matches seven industry values, so the prompt keeps the two that describe a software company itself.

How many match

8,368 mailable people matched on 2 October 2026. Filters: seniority vp or director, jobFunction Sales & Business Development, industry Software Development or Computer Software, employeeRange 51-200 or 201-500, country US.

Mailable means verified, catch_all_valid or catch_all, the count_leads default. The count is free. Compare it with your list: a list far smaller than 8,368 has room to grow. The count covers title, company size, industry and country only. It ignores signals such as tech stack or funding.

What you get back

Claude returns your rows ranked by score, with the filters it used under the table so you can rerun the count later. These are placeholder values, not real records.

Variations

  • Weight the criteria: ask for seniority worth 2 points and size worth 1, then rescore.
  • Add a disqualifier: any row with industry Staffing and Recruiting scores 0.
  • Score for a second ICP in the same run and show both scores side by side.
