Prospeo alternatives

7 Best Prospeo Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)

Seven email finders and data APIs for teams that pull records in code, through an agent or at volume, ranked by fit, with list prices and the cost of 1M records a month.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

People leave Prospeo when an email finder has to behave like a data pipeline. Plans are priced per user. Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits and Pro is $249 for 15,000, and credits do not roll over (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). A verified email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 10 (Prospeo help, September 2026).

Search returns 25 results a page, stops at 25,000 results and carries no email, so you pay again to enrich (Prospeo API docs, September 2026). Enrichment is capped at 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth, and at 2,000 or 5,000 requests a day (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026).

This page ranks seven alternatives for API and volume buyers. LeadOcean is first because it has one flat price and an MCP server that returns records. For a two-column view, read LeadOcean vs Prospeo. For API-only options, see Prospeo API alternatives.

"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Figures are list-price arithmetic. Enterprise quotes are lower, so ask each vendor at your volume.

What we evaluated

  • API access: which plan opens it, how you look a person up, and the default rate limit.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
  • Price model: flat, credits or seats, and what 1M records a month costs at list price.
  • Data: stated coverage, email and phone fields, and search filters.
  • Limits that bite: daily caps, plan gates, expiring credits and fair-use clauses.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers

LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters, 100 results a page. Counts are free.

The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. A mobile costs the same lookup as an email, and there are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'

The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads. Exports run up to 50,000 rows per request through POST /v1/exports. The app at app.leadocean.io has an Exports page with a filter builder, a column picker, a price preview and a CSV download.

Pros

  • Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter and no per-user price.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • Email status on every record, from verified to spam_trap.
  • Free counts, and a miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.

Cons

  • No Chrome extension, CRM sync, sequencer or dialer. You work in the API, MCP or the Exports page.
  • No waterfall across other providers.
  • GET /v2/people/phone counts a record on a miss.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

2. BlitzAPI: best for flat-price search and enrichment by API

BlitzAPI sells B2B data as an API on flat monthly plans. It lists 550M+ profiles, 65M+ companies, 65M+ verified emails and 100M+ job postings (BlitzAPI, September 2026). It is the closest rival to LeadOcean on price model, and there is no per-seat fee.

The plan ladder is where it gets fiddly. Core is $399 a month and leaves out emails and phones. Plus is $499 and adds verified work emails. Full is $599 and adds US phone numbers only (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Emails are found from a LinkedIn URL, not a name and a company (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Check two details before you commit. The 50 requests per second is tied to accounts opened by September 30, 2026, against a standard 5, and limits apply per endpoint (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Its MCP server gives an assistant the API documentation, not the data (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Flat monthly price, with a stated fair-use line of 15,000,000 results a month for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. Limits for later accounts are not published (BlitzAPI terms, September 2026).
  • Job postings and identity resolution sit next to people and company search.
  • A free trial of 1,000 credits with no card.

Cons

  • Three paid tiers, and phones need the top one.
  • Phone numbers are US only.
  • The MCP server reads docs. An agent cannot search or enrich through it.
  • The fast rate limit depends on when the account opened.

Best for: teams that want a flat-price search and enrichment API and run their own code.

Pricing: Core $399, Plus $499, Full $599 a month (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).

3. LeadMagic: best for a low per-credit price on valid emails

LeadMagic is a credit-based enrichment API. It lists 400M+ people profiles and 25M+ companies, and reaches them through REST, CSV, a command-line tool and a hosted MCP server (LeadMagic, September 2026). Failed lookups cost nothing.

The credit price falls as you climb the plans. Essential is $99 a month for 5,000 credits and Professional is $499 for 50,000. Ultimate is $849 for 100,000, or $0.00849 a credit (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). A valid email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 5, half of Prospeo's rate.

The Email Finder endpoint allows 600 requests a minute. LeadMagic also states that a sustained find rate below 10% can lead to throttling or suspension (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). The MCP server uses OAuth, and a preview_cost call shows the price of a large job first (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Among the lowest per-credit list prices in this group for mobiles and emails together.
  • No charge when an email is not found.
  • Hosted MCP with a cost preview before large operations.

Cons

  • The top self-serve plan is 100,000 credits, so 1M a month needs an Enterprise quote.
  • A smaller stated database: 400M+ people profiles.
  • A minimum find-rate policy can throttle lists with poor match rates.

Best for: teams that enrich a few hundred thousand valid emails a month and want cheap credits.

Pricing: Essential $99, Growth $249, Professional $499, Ultimate $849 a month (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

4. Icypeas: best for cheap found emails from a name and a domain

Icypeas is an email finder and verifier that sells credits. Email Finder costs 1 credit per found email, and verifying one costs 0.1 credit (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). Credits roll over with no expiry, which Prospeo's do not.

Hypergrowth is $499 a month for 100,000 credits, or $0.00499 each. Basic is $19 for 1,000, Premium $39 for 4,000 and Advanced $89 for 10,000. The credit selector lists larger tiers: 200K credits for $998, 500K for $2,245.50, 1M for $3,992 and 10M for $34,930 a month (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). The page lists Phone Finder as coming soon, so a mobile-heavy buyer should look elsewhere (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).

For code, the finder takes a first name, a last name and a domain or company (Icypeas docs, September 2026). You submit a search, get an id, then poll for the result (Icypeas docs, September 2026). Limits are 10 calls a second on email search and 1 on bulk search, with 5,000 rows a bulk call (Icypeas docs, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.icypeas.com has 21 tools and signs in with an API key (Icypeas guide, September 2026).

Pros

  • Some of the cheapest found emails on this list, at $0.00499 a credit on Hypergrowth and $0.003992 at 1M credits.
  • Credits roll over and do not expire.
  • MCP on every plan, with 21 tools.

Cons

  • You must know the person's name and domain before you ask.
  • Asynchronous calls mean a submit and a poll, not one response.
  • Phone Finder is not live. Find People has 10+ filters (Icypeas features, September 2026).

Best for: teams that already hold names and domains and want the cheapest verified emails.

Pricing: Basic $19, Premium $39, Advanced $89, Hypergrowth $499 a month, and up to $3,992 a month for 1M credits, plus VAT (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).

5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles behind an API

FullEnrich is a waterfall with the spreadsheet removed. It queries 25+ sources for each contact, and you pay only for data it finds (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). Its pricing page lists API access, people and company search and an MCP server on Pro.

Credits are the meter. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10, the same mobile price as Prospeo. Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, or $0.058 each. The 1,000-credit tier is $55 a month ($0.055 each), and the top public monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 ($0.035 each). Every tier costs more per credit than Prospeo's Starter plan. Search costs 0.25 credits per person returned (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).

The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts in a bulk request. Higher limits are an Enterprise feature (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export, and it asks you before it spends credits (FullEnrich help, September 2026).

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call can cover several vendors.
  • Search, enrichment and export in the MCP server.
  • SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and CCPA listed on the pricing page.

Cons

  • Mobiles cost 10 credits each, so phone-heavy pulls get expensive fast.
  • The default API limit is 60 calls a minute.
  • No public price at 1M work emails. The top public monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500, and above that you contact sales.

Best for: teams that want waterfall contact data, mostly emails and mobiles, through an API or an agent.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, $55 for 1,000, up to $3,500 a month for 100,000. Enterprise custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

6. Findymail: best for verified emails with a bounce guarantee

Findymail is an email finder that verifies each address when you ask for it. Its pricing page blocks automated reading, so this page prints no Findymail price. See Findymail's pricing page for current plans.

It advertises a bounce guarantee on its pricing page. Phone lookups return US numbers only, and none for EU citizens (Findymail docs, September 2026).

The REST API allows 300 concurrent requests. The official MCP server has 14 tools and signs in through the browser (Findymail plugin, September 2026). Lead search is a plain-language query, not a set of structured filters, so it suits lookups more than list building.

Pros

  • A bounce guarantee, advertised on its pricing page.
  • Chrome extension and one-click push to sequencers for reps.

Cons

  • No public price we could read, so 1M a month needs a quote or a look at its pricing page.
  • Phones are US only.
  • No structured search filters in the API docs.

Best for: outbound teams and agencies that want verified emails with a guarantee.

Pricing: Not published here. See Findymail's pricing page.

7. Hunter: best for domain-first email finding at low volume

Hunter is an email finder with outreach attached, priced in credits. One credit is one email found, and verifying an email costs half a credit (Hunter pricing, September 2026). Its Free plan renews 50 credits every month, which suits occasional lookups.

The top self-serve plan, Scale, is $299 a month for 25,000 credits, or $209 billed yearly. Growth is $149 for 10,000 and Starter is $49 for 2,000. A bigger pull goes through Data Platform, which sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform pricing, September 2026). Hunter's core calls start from a domain, and Domain Search returns at most 100 results a call (Hunter API docs, September 2026).

Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute. The MCP server at mcp.hunter.io/mcp works on every plan with API key or OAuth and spends your plan credits (Hunter MCP, September 2026). Hunter also sells Sequences, so you can find and send in one product.

Pros

  • A recurring Free plan and cheap entry plans.
  • Email Finder, Verifier and Sequences in one tool.
  • MCP server and API on every plan, including Free.

Cons

  • Credits cap at 25,000 a month on self-serve.
  • The lookup starts from a domain, not from a filter across a market.
  • Rate limits are set per endpoint, and Discover is slower.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and send from the same tool.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or $34, $104 and $209 billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column shows a price only where a public plan sells 1M credits, as Icypeas does. Hunter's figure is its Data Platform price for 1,000,000 Search credits, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform pricing, September 2026). Findymail's pricing page blocks automated reading, so no price is shown. For LeadMagic and FullEnrich no plan reaches 1M, so the column names the top public tier. Credits beyond it are sold at no published price.

Above 100,000 credits the monthly price per credit falls from $0.00499 to $0.003992 at 1M credits and $0.003493 at 10M credits (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). Billed yearly, 12M credits cost $39,920, which is $3,326.67 a month.

How to choose

  • You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second.
  • You want a flat-price API from a second vendor: BlitzAPI Plus, if you can live with a docs-only MCP server.
  • You buy valid emails by the hundred thousand: LeadMagic, at $0.00849 a credit on Ultimate.
  • You already hold names and domains and want the lowest price per email: Icypeas, and accept an async API.
  • You need waterfall emails and mobiles: FullEnrich, and budget 10 credits per mobile.
  • You send to lists where a bounce costs you a domain: Findymail, for its advertised bounce guarantee.
  • You find a few hundred emails a month and send from one tool: Hunter. Its Free plan renews 50 credits monthly.
  • Your reps live in a browser extension: stay on Prospeo. LeadOcean has none.
  • You also need technology data by domain: see Wappalyzer alternatives.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It has a flat price, emails and phones in one plan, and an MCP server that returns records. BlitzAPI is the flat-price runner-up if you run your own code. LeadMagic wins for cheap valid emails, Icypeas for the lowest price per found email, and FullEnrich for waterfall mobiles. Findymail wins on a bounce guarantee and Hunter for small, domain-first jobs. Stay on Prospeo if your team works in its Chrome extension. Otherwise start on the free plan and compare the same lookups.

FAQ

Why do teams leave Prospeo?

Cost and shape. Plans are per user, credits expire each cycle, and search carries no email, so you pay twice (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Daily request caps and low rate limits also make bulk API pulls slow.

What is the cheapest Prospeo alternative at volume?

At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat and BlitzAPI Plus at $499 are cheapest on list price. BlitzAPI's price is for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. Icypeas is next at $3,992, a published tier. Hunter is next at $6,900, paid once for 1,000,000 Search credits on Data Platform. Findymail's price is not published. LeadMagic and FullEnrich publish no price at 1M. Their top plans are $849 for 100,000 credits and $3,500 for 100,000 credits.

How many credits does a Prospeo lookup cost?

A verified email is 1 credit and a mobile is 10 credits, email included. Company enrichment is 1 credit, and a search page of up to 25 results is 1 credit. A lookup that finds nothing is free (Prospeo help, September 2026).

Does Prospeo have an MCP server, and which alternatives do?

Yes. Prospeo's hosted server has 8 tools (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026). LeadOcean, LeadMagic, Icypeas, FullEnrich, Findymail and Hunter all ship one that returns data. BlitzAPI's server reads documentation only.

Does the Prospeo Free plan include the API?

The sources disagree. The pricing table shows no Public API on Free (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). The help center lists limited API access with 50 requests a day (Prospeo help center, September 2026). The API docs intro says free API access for all users (Prospeo API docs, September 2026). Check before you build on it.

Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
