What Is ABM Orchestration?

How teams coordinate every touch on a named account list so buyers hear one story, not five.

ABM orchestration is the coordination of sales and marketing activity, across email, calls, ads and direct mail, against one shared list of target accounts.

The list is fixed in advance. Each account gets a plan: who to contact, in what order, on which channel and with what message. Orchestration is the layer that keeps those touches in sequence and stops teams from working the same account twice.

Why it matters for outbound

Without orchestration, one account gets a cold email from a rep, a LinkedIn ad from marketing and a call from an SDR in the same week. The buyer sees noise. With it, the touches build on each other and the account sees one story.

Orchestration also needs one owner per account, so reps and marketers never double-touch a buyer. It only works on clean inputs. You need the right accounts, the right people inside each one and a deliverable email for each. Bad data breaks the plan at step one, and a bounced email wastes a slot in the sequence.

Example

Say you sell to US software companies with 201 to 500 employees. You pick 200 accounts and plan three roles at each: a VP of Sales, a Head of RevOps and a CMO.

WeekTouchOwner
1Ad to the account's domainMarketing
1Email to the VP of Sales at AcmeSDR
2LinkedIn note to Jane Doe, Head of RevOpsSDR
3Direct mail to the CMO, if Acme opened an emailMarketing

The values are placeholders. The point is the shared calendar: every touch is tied to an account and a person, and each owner sees what the others did. If Acme replies, every other touch on that account stops.

In LeadOcean data

LeadOcean supplies the data layer of orchestration. It has no sequencer, dialer, CRM or campaign scheduler, so it does not run the plan for you.

Build the account list with POST /v1/companies/search using filters such as industry, employeeRange, hqCountry and technologies. Then find the buying committee at each account with GET /v1/companies/{domain}/people, which returns thin records. Enrich a chosen person with POST /v1/people/enrich and reveal_email to get the address, and read email_status before you send. Size a committee in advance with count_leads, which is free. Filter by jobLevel and jobFunction, and check exact values with list_enum_values.

Each person or company returned counts as one record. Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month. See /pricing.
