Claude pulls the addresses out of any pasted text. LeadOcean tells you which ones are work emails and how many people sit behind them. Connect the server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp first. Setup is on the MCP page.
LeadOcean does not parse text. Claude does the extraction. LeadOcean adds the sizing and, when you ask, the enrichment.
The prompt
Extract every email address from the text below.
1. Lowercase each address, remove duplicates, and rewrite obfuscated ones
("jane [at] acme [dot] com" becomes jane@acme.com).
2. Split them into work addresses and webmail addresses (gmail.com,
outlook.com, yahoo.com and similar).
3. List the company domains in the work addresses with a count each.
4. Call leadocean_count_leads with domain set to those domains,
emailType work and emailStatus verified. Tell me the count and the filters.
5. Do not call leadocean_get_lead until I name the addresses to enrich.
Text:
[paste your text here]What it resolves to
| Filter | Value |
|---|---|
| domain | the work domains found in your text, such as acme.com |
| emailType | work |
| emailStatus | verified |
Both enum strings come from leadocean_list_enum_values, which is free. work means the address sits on the person's current employer domain.
How many match
27,814,297 people with a verified work email matched on 1 October 2026. Filters: emailType work, emailStatus verified, no domain filter.
Passing emailStatus replaces the mailable default, so this is a count of people with a verified work email, not the mailable count. Your own count will be far smaller because the domain list narrows it.
What you get back
Claude returns the cleaned list and the domain tally. Enriching an address returns the fields below. These are placeholder values, not real records.
| Title | Company size | Industry | Country |
|---|---|---|---|
| Head of Sales | 51-200 | Computer Software | US |
| Operations Manager | 201-500 | Logistics and Supply Chain | GB |
| Founder | 11-50 | Marketing Services | DE |
Variations
- Add "also run leadocean_get_lead on the first three work addresses" to see title and company for each.
- Change step 2 to "keep only addresses on acme.com and drop everything else".
- Ask "flag role addresses such as info@ and sales@ before counting".
Records it spends
The count and enum lookups are free. leadocean_get_lead costs 1 record per address enriched, and a lookup that finds nobody costs nothing. Free gives you 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month. See pricing. For a single known person, see find work emails in Claude.
