A B2B data provider for Australia sells business contacts and company records for people who work in Australia. Sales teams, agencies and recruiters buy one when LinkedIn and manual research stop scaling. The catch is that most vendors publish a global total and nothing for Australia. Only ZoomInfo, Lusha, Cognism and Firmable give a regional figure, and among them only Lusha gives one for Australia alone.
This page ranks seven providers on that one criterion: how many Australian people they hold, and how you can check it before you pay. LeadOcean's own numbers come from free counts we ran on 1 October 2026. Every other number is the vendor's claim, with its source. See also our pages on ZoomInfo, Apollo, Lusha, Cognism and Lead411, plus best B2B databases, the UK list and best B2B data providers.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | API, agent and volume pulls in Australia | Free (1,000 records for life). Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 | $497 a month on Agency. Fair-use pace applies |
| ZoomInfo | The largest published Australia and New Zealand total | GTM AI: 1,000 free data credits, then $0.45 to $0.25 a credit. Platform plans by quote | No public 1M price. The credit slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000 |
| Firmable | Australian sales teams that want local company registers | Individual US$110 a user a month (US$55 billed yearly) | No public 1M price. Enterprise credits are custom |
| Lusha | A published Australia figure and a free plan to test it | Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly) | No public 1M price. Top public tier is 10,000 credits for $977.40 a month |
| Apollo | Reps who want a workspace with state filters | Basic $65 a seat a month ($49 billed yearly) | $24,750 a month on monthly billing, or $19,600 billed yearly, as seats at list price |
| Cognism | Teams that buy on a sales-led contract and want APAC contacts | No public price | No public 1M price |
| Lead411 | Small teams that need Australia on a short country list | Spark $49 a month ($490 billed yearly) | No public 1M price |
"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price.
What we evaluated
- Published Australia figure: a count for Australia, a count for a wider region, or nothing. Vendors count by different rules, so totals do not compare cleanly.
- A free test you can run: whether you can check Australian coverage on a free plan or trial before you pay.
- API and MCP: which plans include a REST API and an MCP server, since agents now pull lists.
- Price at volume: list price per month and the cost of 1M records.
- Sourcing: every competitor figure links to the vendor page we read in September 2026.
We ran no accuracy test. We counted Australian records only in LeadOcean. Treat every other figure as a vendor claim until you run the test.
1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume pulls in Australia
LeadOcean holds 693M people and 67M companies. A free count on 1 October 2026 found 10,590,569 people in Australia with any email status, and 1,778,167 in New Zealand. Together that is about 12.4M, close to the 12.7M+ ZoomInfo publishes for Australia and New Zealand.
Most of those records have no email we would send to. The default count, which keeps verified, catch-all valid and catch-all addresses, is 1,860,646, about 18% of the total. Size a campaign on the mailable figure, not the headline.
These are the counts, all with country set to AU and run through count_leads on 1 October 2026:
| What we filtered | People |
|---|---|
| Any email status | 10,590,569 |
| Verified, catch-all valid or catch-all email | 1,860,646 |
| With a phone number, any email status | 1,031,157 |
| Job level C-Team, with such an email | 134,924 |
| VP, Director or C-Team in Sales & Business Development, with such an email | 15,313 |
You can repeat the test. A count is free, and a search with count=true and limit 1 costs nothing. The REST total stops at 100,000, so use the MCP count_leads tool for an exact Australian figure.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \

-d '{"country":["AU"],"jobLevel":["C-Team"],"limit":1}'Pros

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records for life, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. ZoomInfo: best for the largest published Australia and New Zealand total
ZoomInfo's data page lists Australia & NZ at 12.7M+ contacts and 4.1M+ mobile numbers (ZoomInfo data, September 2026). It also lists 2.2M+ companies. It gives no Australia-only figure and no counting basis. About one contact in three has a mobile number.
ZoomInfo's API and MCP now sit behind GTM AI, which sells data credits. List price runs from $0.45 a credit down to $0.25 at 100,000 credits for $25,000, and larger volumes are an Enterprise quote (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). The free plan allows 5 requests a second (ZoomInfo rate limits, September 2026).
Australia test: search and lookup are free on GTM AI, and the free plan includes 1,000 data credits with no card (ZoomInfo credit docs, September 2026). Search for 20 accounts you sell to, then spend credits only on the contacts you need.

3. Firmable: best for Australian sales teams that want local company registers
Firmable is an APAC-focused sales platform. Its database page claims 135m+ people and 15m+ companies worldwide (Firmable, September 2026). Its ZoomInfo comparison page claims 25m+ contacts and 3m+ companies across seven APAC markets: Australia and New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan (Firmable, September 2026).
Those are Firmable's own claims, and there is no Australia-only count. Plans bill per user, with included profiles each year. One profile, company or person, costs one credit and returns the email and mobile together (Firmable pricing, September 2026).
Australia test: the free trial lasts 14 days and includes 25 profiles, with no feature limits. Filter to Australia, run your 20 accounts, and count how many return a mobile.

4. Lusha: best for a quotable Australia figure

Lusha is the only competitor here that publishes an Australia count: 9.3M+ contacts in Australia and 1.5M+ in New Zealand. Lusha counts by the contact's primary work location, not the employer's headquarters, and dates the table September 30, 2026 (Lusha data, September 2026).
Lusha says its coverage is stronger in English-speaking markets, and that phone coverage varies by country (Lusha knowledge hub, September 2026). An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 5. Every plan, including Free, has an API key (Lusha API guide, September 2026).
Australia test: Free is 40 credits a month with no card (Lusha pricing, September 2026). That covers 40 emails or 8 phone numbers, enough for your 20 accounts.

5. Apollo: best for reps who want a workspace with state filters

Apollo publishes no Australia count. Its Australia page says you can segment by state, industry and company size (Apollo Australia, September 2026). The pricing page states 240 million contacts and 30 million companies in total (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
Apollo bills per seat with a pooled credit allowance. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8, and credits expire each cycle (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).
Australia test: the Free plan has 75 credits a month on monthly billing (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Filter by country and state, run your 20 accounts, and compare the result with the other tools on the same day.
Pros
- Filters by Australian state, industry and company size.
- API access on every plan and an MCP server on any plan, including Free (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
- Sequences, a dialer and a Chrome extension in the same workspace.
Cons
- No published Australia or region count.

- At 1M work emails the seat arithmetic reaches $19,600 to $24,750 a month at list price.
Best for: reps who want data, sequences and a dialer in one tool, with state-level filters.

6. Cognism: best for teams that buy on a sales-led contract and want APAC contacts

Cognism claims over 75 million contacts in Asia Pacific. It gives no per-country count and says reps will show the size for your industry and geography on a demo (Cognism APAC, September 2026). Australia is not broken out.
Cognism publishes no price. The pricing page lists Standard and Pro for Sales Prospecting and says pricing is tailored by product, team and usage (Cognism pricing, September 2026). The API allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation (Cognism docs, September 2026).
Australia test: Cognism offers 25 APAC leads free to evaluate its data (Cognism APAC, September 2026). Ask for Australian leads in your seat, and check the mobiles.
Pros

- An MCP server with 15 tools and OAuth sign-in (Cognism docs, September 2026).
- Count and search routes in the API.

- No price, no per-country figure and no self-serve plan.
- API and MCP need a package that includes them.
- One credit per revealed contact, with no public credit price.
Best for: sales-led teams that already buy Cognism for Europe and want to test APAC.
Pricing: No public price. Quote only (Cognism pricing, September 2026).
7. Lead411: best for small teams that need Australia on a short country list
Lead411 lists 13 countries, including Australia and New Zealand (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). The rest are the United States, Canada, the UK and eight European markets. It publishes no record count for any country.
Spark is $49 a month for 1,000 exports, with no API and no direct phone numbers. Ignite starts at $150 a month and adds both (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). The API publishes no rate limit number, and MCP access is for approved customers (Lead411 API docs, September 2026).

- A trial that needs no card.
Cons
- No record count for Australia or anywhere else.
- API access starts on Ignite, and MCP needs approval.
- No published rate limit, and no public 1M price.
Best for: small teams that sell into Australia as one of a few markets.
Pricing: Spark $49 a month, or $490 billed yearly. Ignite from $150 a month, or $1,500 billed yearly (Lead411 pricing, September 2026).

How to choose
- Pull Australian lists by API or agent: LeadOcean. Free counts, flat price, REST and MCP on every plan.
- The biggest stated ANZ total: ZoomInfo, with the caveat that it covers two countries.
- Local registers and a rep workspace: Firmable.
- An Australia number you can quote: Lusha, which publishes one with its counting basis.
- State filters inside a sales tool: Apollo.
- Already on Cognism for Europe: ask for the 25 free APAC leads before you extend.
- A small team with Australia as one market: Lead411, from $49 a month.
Verdict
For API, agent and volume buyers, LeadOcean wins. It has 10.6M Australian people on file, free counts to check it and Agency at $497 a month flat, though only about 18% carry a mailable email. ZoomInfo has the largest stated ANZ total and Lusha the only Australia-only figure. Firmable wins for Australian reps who want local registers and a workspace. Apollo suits reps who want one tool, Cognism suits sales-led APAC buyers and Lead411 suits small teams. Run your own 20-account test on two of them before you buy.
