Lead411 is a B2B contact database with a web app, a Chrome extension, buyer intent data, an API and an MCP server, sold on export-capped plans. LeadOcean is one data API at $499 a month with no export cap in the plan. If your team works in the Lead411 app all day, stay there. If you pull data in code or through an agent, LeadOcean is the simpler bill.

Why teams switch from Lead411

The plan sets how many records you can take

Lead411's entry plan, Spark, is $49 a month for 1,000 exports a month. Ignite starts at $150 a month with "1000+" exports, and unlimited exports sit on Blaze, which has no listed price (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). Volume is a plan decision, then a sales decision.

The API starts above the entry plan

The pricing page lists API access on Ignite and up, not on Spark (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). The FAQ says the contact enrichment API is available and points existing customers to the docs (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). Ask which plan you need before you build on it.

Unlimited is a custom quote

Lead411 advertises truly unlimited search and export on select plans (Lead411, September 2026). The plan that carries it, Blaze, is priced as "Let's Chat" (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). You cannot price a million-record month from the page.

Coverage stops at 13 countries

Lead411 lists the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand and Sweden (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). A team selling into Germany, France, Spain or Asia needs another source.

What 1M, 5M and 25M records cost

Lead411 is not priced per record, so the honest comparison is plan against plan. At these volumes only Blaze applies, and Blaze has no public price. LeadOcean Pro stays at $499 a month.

Records a monthLead411LeadOcean
1MNo public 1M price. Blaze is a custom quote.$499 a month. About $0.0005 a record.
5MNo public price. Blaze is a custom quote.$499 a month. About $0.0001 a record.
25MNo public price. Blaze is a custom quote.$499 a month. About $0.00002 a record. Past fair use, one email raises the headroom.

Lead411 arithmetic: the highest public tier is Ignite, from $150 a month ($1,500 a year) with "1000+" exports a month and no stated cap. Unlimited exports sit on Blaze, priced by quote (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). Spark is $49 for 1,000 exports, so $0.049 an export. At list rate, if sold at that volume, that is $49,000 at 1M, $245,000 at 5M and $1,225,000 at 25M. Spark stops at 1,000 a month, so none of that is a price you can pay. LeadOcean arithmetic: $499 divided by records in the month, before fair-usage pacing.

The pricing page sells "exports", while the API meters employee record reveals against a quota (Lead411 API docs, October 2026). Lead411 does not document how one maps to the other, so the real Lead411 number depends on how you pull.

Annual Spark works out cheaper per export. $490 for 12,000 exports is about $0.041 each, against $0.049 on the monthly plan (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). Both are still far from a million-record month.

For a million-record month, get a Blaze quote and compare it with $499. If the quote is in the low thousands a month or more, the flat fee is the cheaper route.

Where LeadOcean wins

A flat bill at any volume

Pro is $499 a month. Every person or company returned counts as a record, but there is no export cap to plan around and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off, and one email to support gets you more headroom.

The same access on Free and Pro

REST and MCP are on the Free plan, so you can test the whole integration before paying. Lead411 lists API access from Ignite and gives new accounts a 7-day trial with 50 exports. LeadOcean's 1,000 free records have no clock and need no card.

One dataset, global filters

LeadOcean holds 693M people and 63M companies in one database. You filter by 254 countries and 534 industries, and email status comes back on every record with 13 values from verified to spam_trap. Lead411 covers 13 countries. If you sell outside the US, Canada and northern Europe, that gap decides the choice before price does.

Built for agents, and cheap to size

Counts are free. A search with count set to true and limit set to 1 returns meta.total and costs nothing, so an agent can size an audience before it pulls a row.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"jobLevel":["VP"],"jobFunction":["Sales & Business Development"],"country":["CA"],"limit":1}'

For Claude or Cursor, add the MCP URL https://api.leadocean.io/mcp and sign in with OAuth. No key gets pasted into a chat. On 2026-09-30 the count_leads tool, which counts mailable emails by default, returned 5,066 for those filters.

Where Lead411 wins

Buyer intent and signals

Lead411 sells Bombora buyer intent and tracks hiring trends, funding activity and executive changes (Lead411, September 2026). LeadOcean has no intent feed and no alerts. If your outbound runs on "who is in market this week", Lead411 has the product and LeadOcean does not.

An app your sales team can open

Lead411 ships a web app, a Chrome extension, an AI assistant and one-click sync to more than 25 CRMs (Lead411 pricing, September 2026; Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). LeadOcean has no seat-based UI. A rep who wants to click, filter and push to HubSpot should use Lead411.

A cheap start for small volume

Spark is $49 a month for 1,000 exports (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). Up to 1,000 records a month, Spark is cheaper than Pro at $499, and LeadOcean's Free plan covers the first 1,000 records once. Above 1,000 you move to Ignite, from $150 a month with "1000+" exports. Its price varies by team size, so get a quote before you compare it with $499.

Its own API and MCP server

Lead411 is not closed to developers. It publishes an OpenAPI 3.1 spec, a Postman collection and a hosted MCP server at mcp.lead411.com/mcp (Lead411 API docs, September 2026). The MCP server is restricted to approved customers, and Lead411 Support must enable it. Requests return 401 until then, and access is not tied to a named plan. The API, by contrast, is listed on Ignite and up.

A rep who picks contacts one by one fits an export-capped plan. An agent that sweeps thousands of rows a day is a different workload. That is where a flat fee and free counts matter more than an app.

Use both: Lead411 for intent, LeadOcean for volume

You do not have to pick one. Keep Lead411 for the accounts its intent data flags, and use LeadOcean for the bulk list and the agent work. This keeps you on a small Lead411 plan and stops the export cap from deciding your list size.

  1. Create a free LeadOcean key at app.leadocean.io/register. The free plan needs no card.
  2. Size the audience with a free count on POST /v1/people/search, then pull the rows or export them with POST /v1/exports, up to 50,000 rows per request.
  3. Take the domains Lead411 flags as in market and look each one up with POST /v1/companies/enrich or GET /v1/companies/{domain}/people to fill the contacts.

FAQ

Is LeadOcean a full Lead411 replacement?

No. It replaces Lead411 as a data source, not as an app with intent data. If you need Bombora intent, a Chrome extension or rep-friendly CRM sync, keep Lead411. If you need people and companies in code or an agent, LeadOcean is enough.

How much does Lead411 cost?

Spark is $49 a month for 1,000 exports, or $490 a year for 12,000. Ignite starts at $150 a month, or $1,500 a year. Blaze is custom and unlimited (Lead411 pricing, September 2026).

Does Lead411 have an API or an MCP server?

Both, with gates. The API takes an X-API-KEY header and is listed on Ignite and up. The MCP server is hosted at mcp.lead411.com/mcp, but access is restricted to approved accounts and returns 401 until support enables it (Lead411 API docs, September 2026).

Can I use LeadOcean and Lead411 together?

Yes. Use Lead411 for intent signals and LeadOcean for volume and agent lookups. The steps are in the section above.

What does LeadOcean cost, and is there a limit?

Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down instead of cut off, and support can raise the headroom.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card, and it has the same API and MCP server as Pro. Your 1,000 records last until you spend them.
