ZoomInfo is the bigger suite, with a pay-as-you-go API and no published platform price. Lead411 is a smaller contact database with a Chrome extension, buyer intent and plans from $49 a month. Neither publishes a price at 1M records.
Verdict
- Pick ZoomInfo if you want intent and org charts in one suite, or want an API that a free account can call. It has the larger claimed database and 1,000 free data credits.
- Pick Lead411 if you are a small team that wants a rep app at a public price, with direct dials and a Chrome extension. Spark is $49 a month, though phones and API access start higher up the ladder.
- Pick neither if you need volume through an API or an agent at a bill you can predict. Neither vendor prints a 1M price. LeadOcean is one option: Pro is $499 a month, flat.

Data and coverage
Both vendors give size claims, and neither claim is checkable from outside. ZoomInfo's own pages disagree: 500M+ contacts on the MCP docs, 420M+ on the Sales page. Lead411 gives no count at all.
ZoomInfo is the volume play. Its Sales page lists 174M-plus verified emails, 120M+ direct dials and 300+ filter attributes (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026). It also sells buyer intent and org charts. These are marketing claims, and ZoomInfo gives no accuracy rate for them.
Lead411 is the narrower, cheaper database. It lists data for 13 countries: the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand and Sweden (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). Selling into Germany, France or Spain means another source.
On phones, the two are hard to line up. ZoomInfo counts 120M+ direct dials across its whole database. Lead411 does not publish a count, and says its direct dials are double verified (Lead411 pricing, September 2026). A dialing team should pull 200 of its own target contacts from each and compare connect rates.
On quality, Lead411 claims 97% verified emails, and says emails are re-verified every 3 to 6 months (Lead411, October 2026; Lead411 pricing, September 2026). Its homepage footnote says the 97% is an average for optimized verified emails, not for every record. Test a sample before you trust either figure.
On signals, Lead411 licenses buyer intent from Bombora and sells it on annual plans only (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). It is not included on annual Spark, and it is an add-on on annual Ignite. ZoomInfo builds intent into its own suite.
API and developer experience
Both vendors sell an API, but the doors are different. ZoomInfo's is open to a free GTM AI account. Lead411's starts at Ignite, and its MCP server needs support to switch it on.
ZoomInfo uses OAuth 2.0, so you get a bearer token first. Enrich takes up to 25 contacts per call, and a record found costs one data credit. A "no match" or an error costs nothing (ZoomInfo Enrich Contacts, September 2026).
curl -X POST "https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/data/v1/contacts/enrich" \
-H "authorization: Bearer $ZOOMINFO_TOKEN" \
-H "content-type: application/vnd.api+json" \
-d '{"data":{"type":"ContactEnrich","attributes":{"matchPersonInput":[{"personId":123456789}],"outputFields":["id","email","jobTitle","companyName"],"requiredFields":["id"]}}}'Lead411 takes an X-API-KEY header. You find an employee by ID, email, LinkedIn URL, or title plus company. A separate call reveals the record against your quota (Lead411 API docs, October 2026).
curl -X POST "https://api.lead411.com/v3/employee/getEmployeeInformation" \
-H "X-API-KEY: $LEAD411_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"email":"jane.doe@acme.com"}'Both give you a way to test before you commit. ZoomInfo's free tier includes the API, the MCP server and a CLI at 5 requests a second (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). Lead411 gives new accounts a 7-day trial with 50 exports, and the trial has no API (Lead411 pricing, September 2026).
Lead411 publishes an OpenAPI 3.1 spec and a Postman collection. Its docs name no rate limit, so you learn the ceiling by hitting a 429. ZoomInfo prints numbers: 5 requests a second on Builder, 25 on Standard, 35 on Scaling, and 129,600 to 907,200 a day.
Pricing
Only ZoomInfo's API credits can be priced from public pages. Lead411's plans are public, but the volume you need sits on a plan that is quoted. Neither has a public 1M price.
At 10,000 records a month. ZoomInfo's GTM AI lists $0.38 a data credit at the $1,000 spend tier, which covers 2,500 to 10,000 credits. One credit enriches one record, so 10,000 x $0.38 = $3,800 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). Search and lookup are free, and a record enriched in the last 12 months costs no extra credit (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026).
Lead411's Spark is $49 a month for 1,000 exports, so 10,000 is out of its range. Ignite starts at $150 a month ($125 a month billed yearly at $1,500) with "1000+" exports and no stated cap. Lead411 says Ignite varies by team size, so ask for a written quote (Lead411 pricing, September 2026).
At 1M records a month. ZoomInfo's slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000, which is $0.25 a credit and the lowest published rate. Above that is Enterprise, by quote. We do not multiply a rate out to 1M, because the 100,000 pack is not shown as repeatable.
Lead411 has no public 1M price either. Unlimited exports sit on Blaze, which is "Let's Chat" and shown only in the annual view. Spark's $0.049 an export is a rate, not a price you can pay at that volume. The API also meters record reveals against a quota, and Lead411 does not say how one reveal maps to a sold export (Lead411 API docs, October 2026).
The platform side. ZoomInfo says most paid platform plans are billed annually upfront, and it publishes no dollar amount (ZoomInfo, September 2026). Its Lite tier gives 10 credits a month. Lead411 sells monthly and annual billing, but Blaze is annual only.
Time matters as much as money. At 25 records per call, 1M enrichments on ZoomInfo is 40,000 calls. Standard's 54,000 calls an hour covers that in under an hour, and Builder's 10,800 an hour takes about 3.7 hours.
Which ladder fits which team. A solo founder or a three-person team that works in an app should start on Lead411 Spark or ZoomInfo Lite. A RevOps engineer who wants to wire data into code should start on GTM AI. A team that needs more than 1,000 exports a month with phones should expect a quote from either vendor.
Where ZoomInfo wins
- A public price to start. GTM AI is free with 1,000 data credits, then pay as you go from $20, with no seats and no contract.
- A bigger claimed dataset and more data types. Intent, org charts and 300+ filter attributes sit alongside contacts.
- Published API limits. You know the ceiling before you build: up to 35 requests a second on Scaling.
- Open API and MCP access. A free GTM AI account gets you both. Lead411 gates its API at Ignite and its MCP server by approval.
Where Lead411 wins
- A cheap, public start. Spark is $49 a month, or $40.83 a month billed yearly. ZoomInfo's platform has no published price.
- A rep app with a Chrome extension. Search, export and sync to more than 25 CRMs are built in (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026).
- Monthly billing. Most ZoomInfo paid platform plans are billed annually, while Lead411's Spark and Ignite can be bought monthly.
- A smaller, simpler product. If you work in the US, Canada or northern Europe, 13 countries may be all you need.
If you need volume through an API
We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. It holds 693M people and 63M companies behind one REST API and one MCP server. Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
For bulk work, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, so a 1M-row pull is 20 calls over two days (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). LeadOcean has no intent feed, Chrome extension or rep workspace. If your reps need those, keep ZoomInfo or Lead411 for them.
FAQ
Which is better, ZoomInfo or Lead411?
ZoomInfo is better for teams that want signals, org charts and an API open to a free account. Lead411 is better for small teams that want a rep app at a public monthly price. Test both on your own accounts.
Is Lead411 cheaper than ZoomInfo?
At the entry level, yes. Spark is $49 a month, and ZoomInfo publishes no platform price. For volume, neither prints a price: ZoomInfo's credits run $0.45 down to $0.25 each, and Lead411's unlimited plan is by quote.
Does Lead411 or ZoomInfo have an MCP server?
Both do. ZoomInfo's needs a free GTM AI account or a subscription with data credits. Lead411's is at mcp.lead411.com/mcp, but support must enable it for your account, and it returns 401 until then.
Which one has more contacts?
ZoomInfo claims more: 500M+ contacts on its MCP docs and 420M+ on its Sales page. Lead411 says "millions" and gives no count. Both are vendor claims, not audited totals.
Which one can do 1M records a month?
Neither publishes a price for it. ZoomInfo's credit slider stops at 100,000 credits, and Lead411's Blaze plan is a quote. Ask both for a written quote at your volume, and compare it with $499 a month.
