ZoomInfo and Dealfront both sell B2B company and contact data, but they are built for different jobs. ZoomInfo is a data platform, and it also sells a pay-as-you-go API called GTM AI. Dealfront is a website visitor and prospecting product. Since March 24, 2026 it trades as Leadfeeder, and this page uses both names (Leadfeeder rebrand FAQ, September 2026).

Verdict

  • Pick ZoomInfo if you want the larger database, intent and org-chart data, or a pay-as-you-go API with no seats. Data credits list from $0.45 down to $0.25, and search is free.
  • Pick Dealfront if you want to see which companies visit your site, then enrich them. Paid plans have a price you can read, from $79 a month billed yearly.
  • Pick neither if you need millions of records through an API. Neither publishes a 1M price. LeadOcean is one option: Pro is $499 a month, flat.

Data and coverage

ZoomInfo claims 500M+ contacts and 100M+ companies. Dealfront claims 400M verified contacts and 60M companies. Both are the vendors' own numbers. On contacts ZoomInfo claims about 25% more. On companies it claims about two-thirds more.

Neither vendor publishes how many contacts carry an email or a phone number. Test on your own list before you buy. Run the same 500 people through each free start and compare match rates.

The products differ more than the counts. ZoomInfo's API has endpoints for intent signals, scoops, news, org charts, technologies and corporate hierarchy. Intent needs a package that includes it (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026).

Dealfront's core product reveals which companies visit your website, then pushes them to your CRM. Lite identifies up to 100 companies a month. Activate adds verified emails and phone numbers, intent filters and display campaigns (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

Phones are billed differently. Dealfront charges 1 credit for email plus phone and 0.2 for email only. ZoomInfo charges one data credit per contact, and the fields you get back depend on your package (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026).

API and developer experience

Both are REST APIs with an MCP server. The setup differs. Dealfront uses one header and an account ID. ZoomInfo uses OAuth 2.0 and a token exchange.

ZoomInfo needs an app with a client ID and secret. For server-to-server work you swap them for a token, then call the Data API with the application/vnd.api+json content type (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026).

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/oauth/v1/token" \
  -u "$ZI_CLIENT_ID:$ZI_CLIENT_SECRET" \
  -d "grant_type=client_credentials"

curl -X POST "https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/data/v1/contacts/enrich" \
  -H "authorization: Bearer $ZI_TOKEN" \
  -H "content-type: application/vnd.api+json" \
  -d '{"data":{"type":"ContactEnrich","attributes":{"matchPersonInput":[{"personId":1234567890}],"outputFields":["id","email","companyName"],"requiredFields":["id","companyName"]}}}'

One enrich call takes up to 25 contacts. A record with no match, or an error, is not charged (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026).

Dealfront's API is two steps. Search returns contact summaries and costs no credits. Then you retrieve deep data by ID, which costs 1 credit unless you opened that contact in the last 12 months (Leadfeeder OpenAPI spec, September 2026).

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadfeeder.com/v1/contacts/search?account_id=123456" \
  -H "X-Api-Key: $LEADFEEDER_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"departments":["marketing_department"],"hierarchy_levels":["top_management"],"filters":{"has_email":true}}'

curl "https://api.leadfeeder.com/v1/contacts?ids=1234567890&account_id=123456" \
  -H "X-Api-Key: $LEADFEEDER_API_KEY"

Each key is tied to one user and does not expire (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). Retrieve takes up to 100 IDs per call (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026).

Rate limits scale differently. ZoomInfo's are per package: Builder 5 a second, Standard 25, Scaling 35, with hourly and daily caps too. A second docs page lists 25 a second by default and 30 or 35 with add-ons (ZoomInfo rate limits; credit docs, September 2026).

Dealfront's are lower and capped monthly. Over either limit you get a 429. The docs say the monthly quota can be raised through your account manager (Leadfeeder rate limits, September 2026).

On MCP, both have a hosted server with OAuth sign-in. ZoomInfo's works with Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Copilot. Dealfront's is marked beta.

Pricing

ZoomInfo's API charges per data credit. Dealfront charges a plan fee, then spends credits per action. A credit opens a record for 12 months on both. Convert both to cost per record to compare them.

At 10,000 records a month

For ZoomInfo's API, 10,000 records is 10,000 data credits. The list rate is $0.38 a credit for purchases of 2,500 to 10,000 credits. So 10,000 x $0.38 = $3,800 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).

A ZoomInfo credit is charged once per record per 12 months, and search is free. The platform plans are a separate route, quoted by sales. ZoomInfo publishes no list price for them on a page we could read.

For Dealfront, take 10,000 contacts. With email only that is 10,000 x 0.2 = 2,000 credits. With email and phone it is 10,000 x 1 = 10,000 credits (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026).

Plans cap credits a month. Activate tops out at 1,500 credits and Scale at 5,500. So the email-only job needs a Scale tier, and the phone job is nearly twice the top tier (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

Scale starts at $599 a month billed yearly and its top tier is $2,089 a month. Dealfront publishes no price for the tier in between, and no price per extra credit (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). Exporting each record to your CRM costs another credit.

At 1M records a month

For ZoomInfo: no public 1M price. The GTM AI slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000, which is $0.25 a credit and the lowest published rate. Above that it is Enterprise, quote only (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). We do not multiply that rate out to 1M and call it a quote.

For Dealfront: no public 1M price. 1M email-only contacts is 1,000,000 x 0.2 = 200,000 credits. Scale's top tier holds 5,500 a month, so that is about 36 months of it (200,000 / 5,500). With phones it is 1,000,000 credits (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

A single API key is also capped at 100,000 requests a month. That is below 1M lookups before you raise the quota (Leadfeeder rate limits, September 2026). Ask both vendors for a quote at your volume.

Where ZoomInfo wins

  • A larger database. 500M+ contacts and 100M+ companies claimed, against 400M and 60M.
  • More than contacts. Intent, scoops, news, org charts and corporate hierarchy are API endpoints.
  • Faster limits. Up to 35 requests a second, against 10 at Dealfront, and 25 records per enrich call.
  • A public per-credit price. Data credits list from $0.45 to $0.25, and Dealfront publishes no per-credit price.

Where Dealfront wins

  • Visitor identification. It shows which companies are on your site now. ZoomInfo's API is a data feed, and this is the product Dealfront is built around.
  • Plans you can read. Discover, Activate and Scale each have a list price. ZoomInfo's platform plans do not.
  • A free tier that keeps going. Lite has no end date, and the paid plans start with a 14-day trial, no card (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).
  • API and MCP in the plan. Both come with any paid plan that has API access, at no extra cost (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

If you need volume through an API

We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. LeadOcean holds 693M people, 366M of them with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You reach them over REST and MCP. Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and a limit of 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

For bulk work, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. The app also has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). There is no visitor identification, sequencer, dialer or Chrome extension. See the ZoomInfo alternative page for a line-by-line version.

FAQ

Is Dealfront the same as Leadfeeder?

Yes. Dealfront became Leadfeeder on March 24, 2026, and dealfront.com now serves the Leadfeeder site. The subscription, pricing, features and data stayed the same (Leadfeeder rebrand FAQ, September 2026).

Which has more contacts, ZoomInfo or Dealfront?

By their own claims, ZoomInfo has more: 500M+ contacts and 100M+ companies against 400M verified contacts and 60M companies. Neither publishes email or phone counts. Test both on your own list.

Does ZoomInfo or Dealfront have an MCP server?

Both do. ZoomInfo's needs a free GTM AI account or a subscription with data credits. Dealfront's is at https://mcp.leadfeeder.com/mcp, is marked beta and comes with paid plans that have API access.

Is ZoomInfo more expensive than Dealfront?
