Dealfront is a web-visitor and prospecting platform that sells company and contact data on credits. Since March 24, 2026 it trades as Leadfeeder, and dealfront.com redirects there (Leadfeeder rebrand FAQ, September 2026). LeadOcean is one data layer you call over REST or MCP at one flat price. If you pull data in code or through an agent, LeadOcean is the simpler buy. If you want to see which companies visit your site, keep Dealfront.

Why teams switch from Dealfront

Credits meter the data

A contact with an email costs 0.2 credits. A contact with email and phone costs 1 credit, and exporting or syncing a record to your CRM costs another 1 (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). Enrichment and export are billed as separate actions, so enriching a contact does not include a free export of that same record. A pull that you enrich and then sync to a CRM can spend credits twice.

Plans are a ladder with a quote at the top

Paid plans start at $79 a month (Discover), then $369 (Activate) and $599 (Scale), billed annually. Enterprise is custom (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). The page shows the same numbers in euros, and Leadfeeder charges in USD or EUR by company location (Leadfeeder help, September 2026). Credits and company volumes are tiered inside each plan, so the price you see is the entry tier, not the tier you will need at volume. The per-credit price for top-ups is not on the pricing page.

The API and MCP server sit behind a paid plan

API access is listed on Discover, Activate and Scale. Only the free Lite plan lacks it (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). The MCP server is in beta and comes with a paid plan that has API access (Leadfeeder MCP page, September 2026). The older Echobot API is legacy and will eventually be phased out (Leadfeeder help, September 2026).

A visitor-tracking product around the data

Web Visitors, Campaigns and Lists are the core of the platform (Leadfeeder, September 2026). If you only want records in code, you pay for a product shaped around something else. That is fine when you use the visitor features. It is wasted spend when you do not.

What 1M, 5M and 25M records cost

Dealfront does not publish a price per credit, so there is no list-price number to multiply. We will not invent one. LeadOcean Pro is $499 a month at any volume.

What we can compare is credits. The table shows how many Dealfront credits a month each volume needs against Scale's published allowance of up to 5,500 credits a month.

Records a monthDealfront credits, email onlyDealfront credits, email and phoneLeadOcean
1M200,000. About 36 months of Scale's allowance.1,000,000. About 182 months.$499 a month.
5M1,000,000. About 182 months.5,000,000. About 909 months.$499 a month.
25M5,000,000. About 909 months.25,000,000. About 4,545 months.$499 a month. Past fair use, one email raises the headroom.

Dealfront arithmetic: records x 0.2 credits (email only) or x 1 credit (email and phone). Then divide by 5,500, the Scale credits a month (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026; Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). Enterprise sets custom credit volumes, so a large buyer would negotiate a bigger allocation.

Dealfront publishes no price per extra credit. Extra credits are sold in blocks of 100 to 5,000 through support or your CSM (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). Ask for a quote at your volume and compare it with $499.

A record you already unlocked stays free for 12 months, so a list you re-query costs fewer credits than a list of new records. Web Visitors identification is counted against your plan's company limit, not in credits. The table is about fresh contact data. If most of your volume is repeat lookups on the same accounts, Dealfront's real number falls. If it is new people every month, the table holds.

Where LeadOcean wins

A flat bill at any volume

Pro is $499 a month. Every person or company returned counts as a record, but there is no credit balance to watch and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off, and one email to support gets you more headroom.

A bigger people dataset, close on companies

LeadOcean holds 693M people and 63M companies in one database. Dealfront lists 400M verified contacts and 60M companies on its own site (Leadfeeder, September 2026). The company counts are close. The people gap is real, though "verified contact" and "person" may not mean the same thing, so test your own audience.

Built for code and agents on every plan

The Free plan includes the REST API and the MCP server, so you can test the whole thing before paying. Pull a German CTO audience in one request and export it as a file.

bash
curl -X POST https://api.leadocean.io/v1/exports \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{
    "name": "CTOs in Germany",
    "filters": { "title": ["CTO"], "country": ["DE"], "emailStatus": ["verified"] },
    "limit": 5000,
    "preset": "full"
  }'

For Claude or Cursor, add the MCP URL https://api.leadocean.io/mcp and sign in with OAuth. No key gets pasted into a chat. Dealfront also has an MCP server, so this is a pricing and access difference, not a feature gap.

Search and export at database scale

Filters, counts and exports are built for big pulls. Search people with 50 filters and companies with 34, across 254 countries and 534 industries. Counts are free. Export up to 50,000 rows per request with POST /v1/exports, so a 1M-row pull is 20 calls over two days, not 1M credits. Email status comes back on every record, so you can keep only verified and catch_all_valid rows before you send.

Where Dealfront wins

Website visitor identification

Dealfront shows which companies visit your site, with alerts and CRM push. It is the core of the product and the reason most teams buy it. LeadOcean has no visitor tracking and no pixel. If that is your use case, stay with Dealfront. No data API replaces a tool that watches your own site.

Intent signals and ad campaigns

Dealfront lists 40+ buying-intent indicators and can turn a list of target accounts into B2B display campaigns (Leadfeeder, September 2026). LeadOcean is a data source. It does not score intent or run ads. Your own model can do the scoring over MCP.

European depth and a workflow app

Dealfront leans on European markets and ships a GDPR and compliance page. It also has a browser extension, workflows and native Salesforce, HubSpot and Pipedrive connections (Leadfeeder, September 2026). LeadOcean has global data and an API, not a rep workspace. A European sales team that lives in an app should stay.

Use both: Dealfront for visits, LeadOcean for the people

You do not have to drop Dealfront to cut credits. Let it find the companies, and let LeadOcean supply the contacts. The split matches what each tool is good at.

  1. Create a free LeadOcean key at app.leadocean.io/register. The free plan needs no card.
  2. Export the company domains that Dealfront's Web Visitors flagged as high intent, to your CRM or a CSV.
  3. Call GET /v1/companies/{domain}/people on LeadOcean for each domain, then POST /v1/people/enrich with reveal_email on the people you want. Dealfront credits stay for signals, and the contact pull lands on the flat plan. Count the audience first with count_leads, which is free, so you know the size of the pull before you spend a record.

FAQ

Is LeadOcean a full Dealfront replacement?

No. It replaces Dealfront as a data source, not as a visitor-identification tool. If you need Web Visitors, intent signals or ads, keep Dealfront. If you only need people, companies and emails in code or an agent, LeadOcean is enough.

Is Dealfront the same as Leadfeeder?

Yes. Dealfront rebranded as Leadfeeder on March 24, 2026, with no pricing change. The Dealfront API became the Leadfeeder API, and the old Leadfeeder API is now the legacy one (Leadfeeder rebrand FAQ, September 2026).

How many credits does a Dealfront lookup cost?

An email-only contact costs 0.2 credits and an email plus phone costs 1 credit. Exporting or syncing a record to your CRM costs 1 credit (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). A credit unlocks that record for 12 months.

Does Dealfront have an API or an MCP server?

Both. The Leadfeeder API covers companies, contacts, web visits and IP enrichment (Leadfeeder API help, September 2026). The hosted MCP server is in beta at https://mcp.leadfeeder.com/mcp, and credit rules match the API (Leadfeeder docs, September 2026).

What does LeadOcean cost, and is there a limit?

Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down instead of cut off, and support can raise the headroom.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card, and it has the same API and MCP server as Pro. Your 1,000 records last until you spend them.
