People leave Dealfront when they want records in code and get a visitor-tracking product with a credit meter. Dealfront has traded as Leadfeeder since March 24, 2026 (Leadfeeder rebrand FAQ, September 2026). A contact with an email costs 0.2 credits, one with email and phone costs 1, and a CRM export or sync costs 1 more (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026).
The API allows 10 requests per second and 100,000 requests a month per key (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). Unused credits usually expire when the billing period ends (Leadfeeder help, September 2026). Paid plans start at $79 a month billed annually, which is EUR 79 in the euro view. Dealfront charges in USD or EUR by company location (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). That suits marketers who turn site visits into leads. It is a poor fit for a pipeline that pulls millions of records.
This page ranks six alternatives for API and volume buyers. LeadOcean is first because it has one flat price, no credits and an MCP server that returns records. For a two-column view, see LeadOcean vs Dealfront. If the API limits are the main pain, read Dealfront API alternatives.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | API, agent and volume buyers | Free (1,000 records, one-off). Pro $499 a month | $499 a month flat. Fair use applies |
| People Data Labs | Fast person and company API, data licences | Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits | No public 1M price. Pro is about $0.20 to $0.28 a profile, and above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only |
| Apollo | Reps who want a database and a sequencer | Basic $49 per seat a month, billed annually | $24,750 a month on monthly billing (250 Professional seats at $99), or $19,600 a month billed yearly (400 Basic seats at $49) |
| Cognism | European teams that dial phone-verified mobiles | No public price. Quote only | No public price. Quote only |
| ZoomInfo | Enterprise data through GTM.AI, by API or MCP | Free 1,000 data credits. Then $0.45 down to $0.25 a credit | No public 1M price. The GTM.AI slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000 ($0.25 each) |
| Lusha | Reps who reveal contacts in a browser and CRM | Free 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly) | No public 1M price. Top tier is $9,539.10 billed yearly for 120,000 credits |
"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Figures are list-price arithmetic. Where a vendor sells no plan at that volume, the cell says so and names its top public tier. Enterprise quotes differ, so ask each vendor at your volume.
What we evaluated
- API access: which plan opens it, the endpoints that return people and companies, and the default rate limit.
- MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
- Price model: flat, credits or seats, and what 1M records a month costs at list price.
- Data: stated coverage, email and phone fields, and search filters.
- Limits that bite: request quotas, plan gates, expiring credits and fair-use clauses.
We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers. None of these tools identifies the companies that visit your website. That is Dealfront's core job, and we say so in the verdict.
1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers
LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters. Counts are free. Enrichment is POST /v1/people/enrich, phones are GET /v2/people/phone, and exports run up to 50,000 rows per request.
The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off. More headroom is one email to support.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026). Claude, Cursor or your own agent can pull records directly. Every person or company returned counts as one record, and count_leads is free, so you can size an audience before you pull it.
Pros
- Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter.
- REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
- Email status on every record, from
verifiedtospam_trap. - Free counts, and a miss on
POST /v1/people/enrichis a free 404.
Cons
- No website visitor identification, intent scoring or ad campaigns. It is a data source.
- No rep workspace: no sequences, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download.
- One dataset, so a niche source needs another tool.
Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume and a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
2. People Data Labs: best for a fast person and company API

People Data Labs (PDL) is a long-running person and company data API with bulk licences. Its pricing page shows ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance on every plan (PDL pricing, September 2026). Its All dataset holds about 2.47 billion person profiles, though records are not guaranteed to have every field filled (PDL datasets, September 2026).
The price per record is high at the entry. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, which is $0.28 each, and annual terms save 20%. PDL says Pro profiles cost about $0.20 to $0.28, depending on volume. The Free plan gives up to 100 records a month with contact data hidden (PDL pricing, September 2026). Above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only, so there is no public 1M price.
The API is quick. Enrichment allows 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans, and Bulk Person Enrichment takes up to 100 records per request (PDL docs, September 2026). Person Search is slower, at 10 requests a minute by default (PDL docs, September 2026). We found no official MCP server in PDL's docs index (PDL docs, September 2026).
Pros
- A stated 1,000 calls a minute on enrichment for paid plans.
- Bulk enrichment and annual data licences delivered to S3, GCP or Azure (PDL docs, September 2026).
- ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 shown on the pricing page.
- A miss on a lookup is not billed.
Cons
- $0.28 a record at the entry rate, about $0.20 at volume. Above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only.
- Contact data is hidden on the Free plan.
- Person Search defaults to 10 requests a minute.
- No official MCP server found, so agents need a wrapper you host.
Best for: data teams that license files or need compliance paperwork and accept per-record pricing.
Pricing: Free up to 100 records a month. Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits. Enterprise custom (PDL pricing, September 2026).
3. Apollo: best for reps who want a database and a sequencer

Apollo is a sales platform with a contact database attached. It lists 240M contacts and 30M companies, and it sells sequences, a dialer and a Chrome extension around them (Apollo pricing, September 2026). It ranks third because the price is built around seats, not volume.
Basic is $49 per seat a month with 30,000 credits a year. Professional is $79 with 48,000. Organization is $119 with 72,000, all billed annually. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8 (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Credits reset every billing cycle and do not roll over.
For code, the limits are workable. Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans. Search allows 200 a minute and 50,000 a day (Apollo docs, September 2026). The MCP server works on any plan, including Free, and signs in with OAuth (Apollo MCP, September 2026). Apollo says plan data is for internal business use only.
Pros
- Database, sequences, dialer and CRM sync in one tool.
- MCP server on every plan, with no API key to paste.
- Enrichment at 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans.
- A free plan to test the data.
Cons
- Seats and credits both scale your bill, and credits expire each cycle.
- A phone number costs 8 credits, so phone-heavy pulls get expensive.
- Internal use only, so you cannot build a product on it.
Best for: sales reps who prospect and send from one workspace.
Pricing: Free. Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 per seat a month, billed annually (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
4. Cognism: best for European teams that dial mobiles

Cognism is the closest rival to Dealfront's European focus. It sells phone-verified mobile numbers, and it says it has over 10M phone-verified contacts and checks numbers against do-not-call lists in 15 territories (Cognism Diamond Data, September 2026). It is a prospecting platform first and a data API second.
Cognism publishes no prices. Standard and Pro are listed with 5 seats each, and a credit reveals, enriches or exports one contact (Cognism pricing, September 2026). Every quote is custom, so 1M records a month means a sales call.
The API and MCP server are new. Search is one token per record returned, and revealing contact details costs credits on top. The API allows 500 requests a minute per operation, and each account gets a fixed token allowance (Cognism docs, September 2026). The MCP server uses OAuth and the same metering (Cognism docs, September 2026). It needs a package that includes API access.
Pros
- Phone-verified mobiles and do-not-call checks for sales teams that dial.
- Count endpoints let you size a list before you pull it.
- MCP server with OAuth sign-in, using the same rules as the API.
Cons
- No public price, so you cannot price 1M records from the site.
- Two meters on the API: search tokens for records and credits for contacts.
- The API and MCP server need a newer package with API access.
Best for: European sales teams that want verified mobiles and accept a quote-based contract.
Pricing: No public price. Standard and Pro are quoted by sales (Cognism pricing, September 2026).
5. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise data through GTM.AI
ZoomInfo sells its contact, company and intent data through GTM.AI, a pay-as-you-go API, MCP and command-line product (GTM.AI pricing, September 2026). The company reports 500M contacts and 100M companies (VentureBeat, June 2026). Its platform plans are still sold by quote.
GTM.AI gives 1,000 data credits free with no card. Top-ups start at $20, and a data credit is $0.38 at the $1,000 spend tier, falling to $0.25 at 100,000 credits for $25,000. One credit covers one company, contact or intent record enriched or exported. Search and lookup are free, and a record is charged once per 12 months.
The limit that matters is speed. The free tier allows 5 requests per second and 5 apps, and higher limits are an Enterprise feature (GTM.AI pricing, September 2026). The slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000, so there is no public 1M price and volume pricing is a must.
Pros
- API, MCP and CLI access on the free tier.
- Search, lookup and find-similar cost no credits.
- Self-serve sign-up with no contract for GTM.AI.
- ISO 27001, SOC 2 Type II and other certifications reported (VentureBeat, June 2026).
Cons
- $0.25 to $0.45 a data credit at list, the highest per-record price here, with no public price at 1M.
- 5 requests per second on the free tier.
- Platform plans are a separate sales process.
Best for: enterprise teams that want ZoomInfo data behind an API or an agent and will negotiate volume.
Pricing: Free 1,000 data credits. Data credits from $0.45 each, falling to $0.25 at 100,000 credits for $25,000, where the slider stops (GTM.AI pricing, September 2026).
6. Lusha: best for reps who reveal contacts in a browser

Lusha is a prospecting tool with an API on every plan. It lists 525M+ contacts, 29M+ companies, 165M+ emails and 117M+ direct dials, plus a Chrome extension and CRM apps (Lusha, September 2026). It ranks last for volume because the API has low request caps.
Credits are the meter. Free gives 40 a month. Starter is $49.90 a month, or $37.45 billed yearly for 4,800 credits a year. Pro is $69.90, or $52.45 billed yearly for 7,200 a year. Premium is $399.90, or $299.95 billed yearly for 40,800 a year (Lusha pricing, September 2026). An email costs 1 credit, a phone 5, and every request costs at least 1, even with no data.
The API allows 300 requests a minute and 18,000 a day on Premium. Free and Starter get 40 a minute and 100 a day, and a request covers up to 100 records (Lusha API guide, September 2026). The MCP server exposes 50 tools and signs in with OAuth (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- An API key for every user on every plan, including Free.
- MCP server with 50 tools, including prospecting and buying-group search.
- Chrome extension and CRM apps for reps.
Cons
- Daily request caps of 100 on Free and 18,000 on Premium.
- Every request costs at least 1 credit, even with no data.
- A phone costs 5 credits, six with the email.
- Scale is a custom quote, so 1M records a month needs a sales call.
Best for: reps who reveal emails and phones inside a browser or CRM.
Pricing: Free 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90, Pro $69.90, Premium $399.90 a month, or $37.45, $52.45 and $299.95 billed yearly, in USD. Scale is custom (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Apollo is 250 Professional seats at $99 on monthly billing, or 400 Basic seats at $49 on yearly billing. PDL has no public 1M price, and the GTM.AI slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000. Lusha sells no plan at 1M. Lusha's top public tier is Premium at 120,000 credits a year for $9,539.10 billed yearly, about $0.0795 a credit, or 10,000 a month for $977.40. Scale is custom.
How to choose
- You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second.
- You want a fast enrichment API and licensed files: People Data Labs, and budget $0.20 to $0.28 a record.
- Your reps live in one tool: Apollo, where the database and the sequencer share a seat.
- You dial European mobiles: Cognism, and ask for a quote at your volume first.
- You want ZoomInfo data without a platform contract: GTM.AI, with a rate-limit conversation before you scale.
- Your reps reveal contacts in a browser: Lusha, and watch the daily request cap.
- You need to see which companies visit your site: stay on Dealfront. No data API replaces it.
- You want both: keep Dealfront for visits and call a flat-price API for the contacts. See LeadOcean vs Dealfront.
Verdict
LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It has a flat price, emails and phones in one plan, and an MCP server that returns records. PDL wins for a fast enrichment API and licensed datasets. Apollo wins for reps who want a sequencer, and Cognism for European teams that dial mobiles. ZoomInfo fits enterprises that want its data behind an API, and Lusha fits reps who work in a browser. Stay on Dealfront if you need website visitor identification. Otherwise start on the free plan and compare the same lookups.
FAQ
Why do teams leave Dealfront?
Cost and shape. Dealfront bills credits for contacts and again for CRM exports (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). The API is capped at 100,000 requests a month per key. Teams that only want records in code often move to a data API.
What is the cheapest Dealfront alternative at volume?
At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat is the cheapest on list price. Apollo is next at $19,600 a month billed yearly, or $24,750 on monthly billing. PDL, ZoomInfo and Lusha publish no 1M price, so their cost at that volume is a sales quote.
What does Dealfront cost at 1M records a month?
Dealfront does not publish a price per credit, so there is no list price to multiply. 1M email-only contacts is 200,000 credits, and 1M with phones is 1,000,000 credits. Credit volumes are tiered by plan, and Enterprise sets them by quote. Dealfront publishes no price per extra credit. Extra credits are sold in blocks of 100 to 5,000 through support or your CSM (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).
Which Dealfront alternative has an MCP server that returns data?
LeadOcean, Apollo, Cognism, ZoomInfo through GTM.AI and Lusha all do. We found no official PDL server. Dealfront has one too, at https://mcp.leadfeeder.com/mcp (Leadfeeder docs, September 2026). Compare the tools each one exposes before you choose.
Can I filter companies by the technology they use?
Yes, on several of these. LeadOcean has 105 technology categories in its company filters. For a tool that only detects technologies on websites, see Wappalyzer alternatives.
Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?
No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
