Lusha vs Dealfront (2026): Data, Pricing and API Compared

Lusha sells contact data to reps and agents on credits. Dealfront (Leadfeeder) sells website-visitor identification with contact credits on top. Here is how they differ on coverage, API, MCP and cost at 1M records.

Lusha and Dealfront both sell B2B contact data on credits, but they are built for different jobs. Lusha is a data layer for reps and agents, reached through a Chrome extension, an API and an MCP server. Dealfront has traded as Leadfeeder since March 24, 2026, and its core product shows which companies visit your website (Leadfeeder rebrand FAQ, September 2026).

Verdict

  • Pick Lusha if reps reveal contacts from LinkedIn or the CRM, or if you want an API key on every plan, published email and phone counts and a 50-tool MCP server. Phones cost 5 credits and emails 1.
  • Pick Dealfront if the main job is seeing which companies visit your site, with European data and CRM push. Contacts are an add-on, and the API and MCP server start on its paid plans.
  • Pick neither if you need volume through an API at a price you can read. Neither publishes a price at 1M records. LeadOcean is one option: Pro is $499 a month, flat.

Data and coverage

Lusha claims more contacts: 525M+ against Dealfront's 400M. Company counts are 29M+ at Lusha and 60M at Dealfront. All four numbers are the vendors' own, and Dealfront does not define a "verified contact" on its page.

Only Lusha publishes email and phone counts: 165M+ emails and 117M+ direct dials (Lusha homepage, September 2026). That is about 31% and 22% of its contacts. Dealfront prints neither, so you cannot compare coverage on paper.

The products around the data differ more than the data does. Lusha adds a Chrome extension, CRM apps and 26 buying signals refreshed weekly. Dealfront's core is Web Visitors, which identifies companies from your own site traffic. Plans are sized by identified companies a month, from 100 on Lite (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

Dealfront's deep data comes from national trade registers and chambers of commerce, and the platform is built and hosted in the EU (Leadfeeder, September 2026). If your market is European, test it first. If it is US mobile numbers, test Lusha first.

Phones are the sharpest cost split. Lusha charges 5 credits for a phone number against 1 for an email. Dealfront charges 1 credit for email plus phone and 0.2 credit for email alone. A credit covers that record for 12 months for the whole account (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026).

Both free plans are small. Lusha Free gives 40 credits a month. Dealfront's Lite gives 20 credits and no API. Run the same 30 people through each and compare the match rate.

API and developer experience

Both have REST APIs and a hosted MCP server. Lusha is built around one call per person or a batch of up to 100. Dealfront works in asynchronous jobs, takes an account_id on most endpoints and draws from the platform's credit pool.

Lusha's V3 API passes the key in an api_key header. Search takes a batch of contacts by name and domain, LinkedIn URL or email (Lusha API overview, September 2026):

bash
curl --request POST \
  --url https://api.lusha.com/v3/contacts/search \
  --header "api_key: $LUSHA_API_KEY" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{
    "contacts": [
      { "clientReferenceId": "my-ref-1", "firstName": "Jane", "lastName": "Doe", "companyDomain": "acme.com" }
    ],
    "options": { "includePartialProfiles": true }
  }'

Search returns matches. You then pass the returned contact id to the enrich endpoint, and that reveal is the step that spends credits. A bulk request adds 1 credit per 1 to 25 results on top of the email and phone credits. One contact with email and phone is 7 credits through a single request (Lusha API guide, September 2026).

Lusha's docs disagree on misses. The API guide says a request costs at least 1 credit even with no data. The V3 billing FAQ says no credit is deducted for a no-match request (Lusha billing FAQ, September 2026). Budget as if a miss costs 1 credit until Lusha settles it. The older V2 API stays live until November 18, 2026.

Dealfront's contact data comes from a job. You send contact IDs, get a 202 with a job ID, and poll for the result. The IDs come from POST /v1/contacts/search, which costs no credits (Leadfeeder OpenAPI, September 2026).

bash
curl --request POST \
  --url "https://api.leadfeeder.com/v1/contacts/find-contact-data-jobs?account_id=123456" \
  --header "X-Api-Key: $LEADFEEDER_API_KEY" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --data '{"data":{"type":"find_contact_data_job","attributes":{"contact_ids":["1515122"],"enrichment_type":"email_only"}}}'

enrichment_type is email_only or full, and full is the default. A job takes up to 100 contact IDs, or a list_id for a whole list. Auth is an X-Api-Key header or OAuth 2.0 (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). Costs differ by call. The credits help prices an email-only find job at 0.2 credit. Retrieving a contact's deep data costs 1 credit, unless the account opened it in the last 12 months (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). Leadfeeder does not reconcile the two in one place.

Rate limits differ in shape. Lusha's are per key and rise with the plan. Pro gets 50 a minute and 1,500 a day, Premium gets 300 a minute and 18,000 a day, and Scale gets 300 a minute and 50,000 a day. A separate Lusha page sets a default of 25 requests a second per account (Lusha rate limits, September 2026).

Dealfront's are 10 requests a second per key, with a monthly quota of 100,000 requests. The account manager can raise the quota (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026).

On MCP, both have hosted servers with OAuth. Lusha's has 50 tools and shares the REST credit pool. Dealfront's is in beta and built around website visits, ICP matching and finding contacts at target accounts. It follows the same credit rules as its API (Lusha MCP tools, September 2026; Leadfeeder MCP docs, September 2026).

Pricing

Both tools meter by credit, and neither lets you buy a record at a posted price. Lusha's credits come in steps inside each plan. Dealfront's come with the plan tier. Convert both to cost per record to compare them.

At 10,000 records a month

For Lusha, take 10,000 work emails by bulk API. That is 10,000 email credits plus 10,000 / 25 = 400 request credits, or 10,400 credits (Lusha API guide, September 2026).

The largest public step is Premium at 10,000 credits a month, $977.40 billed monthly, or 120,000 credits a year, $9,539.10 billed yearly (about $794.93 a month). So 10,400 credits sits just above the top listed step (Lusha pricing, September 2026). That step works out to $977.40 / 10,000 = $0.0977 a credit, so 10,400 credits is about $1,016 at that rate, but the page lists no step at that size.

Phones change the sums. A mobile for each of 10,000 contacts is 5 credits each, so 50,000 credits for phones alone. That is five times the top monthly step.

For Dealfront, 10,000 email-only contacts at 0.2 credit is 2,000 credits. Activate tops out at 1,500 credits ($729 a month billed annually, $1,041 billed monthly), so you land in Scale. Scale runs from 1,000 credits at $599 a month to 5,500 credits at $2,089, billed annually only (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

We could not read a price for the 2,000-credit step, so we give the range: between $599 and $2,089 a month. With phones at 1 credit each, 10,000 contacts is 10,000 credits, more than Scale's top tier holds in a month. Units differ, and a Dealfront plan also buys visitor identification, so the two are not a like-for-like price.

At 1M records a month

For Lusha: no public 1M price. The same email pull is 1,000,000 email credits plus 1,000,000 / 25 = 40,000 request credits, or 1,040,000 credits. The top public step holds 10,000 credits a month, so 1M is 104 times the largest listed plan. Scale is custom, and Lusha gives no per-credit figure for it (Lusha pricing, September 2026). We do not multiply a rate out to 1M and call it a quote.

For Dealfront: no public 1M price. Dealfront publishes no price per extra credit. 1M email-only contacts is 200,000 credits, and Scale's ceiling is 5,500 credits a month, about 36 months of the top tier. With phones it is 1,000,000 credits (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026; credits help, September 2026).

Request counts are not the limit on either side. At 100 contacts a request, 1M records is 10,000 calls. That is under Dealfront's 100,000 monthly quota and inside Premium's 18,000 a day at Lusha, though Premium's 1,800 an hour makes it about six hours of calls. Credits are the real ceiling, and above the top tier both are a sales quote.

Where Lusha wins

  • Reps in a browser. The Chrome extension and the Salesforce and HubSpot integrations put a reveal one click from LinkedIn or the CRM (Lusha homepage, September 2026).
  • Published coverage. It states 165M+ emails and 117M+ direct dials, and a larger contact base.
  • API on every plan. Every user gets a key, Free included. Dealfront's free Lite has no API.
  • Signals and 50 MCP tools. Buying signals, lookalikes and enrichment are exposed to agents (Lusha MCP tools, September 2026).

Where Dealfront wins

  • Website visitor identification. It shows which companies visit your site, with alerts and CRM push. It is the core of the product and the reason most teams buy it.
  • Fewer credits per email. 0.2 credit for an email-only contact against Lusha's 1, and a record you paid for stays covered for 12 months.
  • European focus. Its data comes from trade registers and chambers of commerce, and it is built and hosted in the EU (Leadfeeder, September 2026).
  • No seats. Every plan, Lite included, lists unlimited users, so a larger team does not multiply the bill (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).

If you need volume through an API

We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. LeadOcean holds 693M people and 63M companies, and you reach them over REST and an MCP server with 12 tools. Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and a limit of 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026). For bulk work, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026).

LeadOcean has no Chrome extension, visitor tracking or sequencer. If your reps live in Lusha or you need visitor identification, keep those and compare the data source. See the Lusha alternative page for a line-by-line version, or Lusha alternatives for more options.
