Developers leave Dealfront's API over a request quota and a credit pool. The docs cap each API key at 10 requests per second, with a burst of 15, and 100,000 requests a month (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). Retrieving a contact's deep data costs 1 credit, email-only enrichment costs 0.2 credit and email plus phone costs 1 credit (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). Credits come from the same pool as the web app (Leadfeeder help, September 2026). Unused credits expire at the end of the billing period. Dealfront now trades as Leadfeeder, so its docs live on leadfeeder.com.
This page ranks seven alternatives for developers who pull records in code or through an agent. LeadOcean is first because it has one flat price, no credits and 100 requests per second per key. For a two-column view, see LeadOcean vs Dealfront. For tools with a web app, read Dealfront alternatives.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | API, agent and volume buyers | Free (1,000 records, one-off). Pro $499 a month | $499 a month flat. Fair use applies |
| BlitzAPI | Flat-price people and company search by API | Core $399 a month. Plus $499 adds verified emails | $499 on Plus, inside its 15M monthly fair-use line for accounts opened by September 30, 2026 |
| Crustdata | Live company and people data for agents | No public price list | About 2,000,000 credits. No public dollar price per credit |
| People Data Labs | Person and company data licences | Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits | No public 1M price. Pro is about $0.20 to $0.28 a profile, and above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only |
| FullEnrich | Waterfall emails and mobiles behind an API | Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits | No public price at 1M. Top public tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month |
| Apollo | Reps who want a database and a sequencer | Basic $49 per seat a month, billed annually | $24,750 a month on monthly billing (250 Professional seats at $99), or $19,600 a month billed yearly (400 Basic seats at $49) |
| Cognism | European phone-verified mobiles | No public price list | Custom quote. No public price |
"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Dealfront needs 200,000 credits for 1M email-only lookups at 0.2 credit each, or 1,000,000 if each contact is retrieved as deep data at 1 credit. Scale includes 5,500 a month (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). Figures are list-price arithmetic. Enterprise quotes are lower, so ask each vendor at your volume.
What we evaluated
- Rate limit and quota: requests per second or minute, and any monthly request cap on the key.
- Auth and schema: API key or OAuth, the header name, and how search and enrichment split into calls.
- Bulk export: page size, batch size and whether a search turns into a file.
- MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
- Cost at 1M records: flat, credits or seats, at list price.
We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers.
1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers
LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters. Counts are free.
The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
Here is the same job on both APIs: CTOs in Germany with an email. Dealfront searches first, which is free, then retrieves deep data, which costs 1 credit a contact (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026).
Dealfront (Leadfeeder): search, then retrieve up to 100 IDs.
curl -g -X POST "https://api.leadfeeder.com/v1/contacts/search?account_id=$LF_ACCOUNT_ID&page[size]=100" \
-H "X-Api-Key: $LF_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"positions":["CTO"],"company_locations":[{"country_code":"DE"}],"filters":{"has_email":true}}'
curl "https://api.leadfeeder.com/v1/contacts?ids=3219787601,3219787635&account_id=$LF_ACCOUNT_ID" \
-H "X-Api-Key: $LF_API_KEY"LeadOcean: search, then enrich the people you chose.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"title":["CTO"],"country":["DE"],"emailStatus":["verified"],"limit":100}'
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'The schemas differ. Dealfront needs an account_id on every call and returns IDs you then retrieve. LeadOcean needs only a key. For a whole audience, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to export_leads.
Pros
- Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter.
- REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
- 100 requests per second per key and 5 keys on Pro.
- Free counts, and a miss on
POST /v1/people/enrichis a free 404.
Cons
- No website visitor identification, intent signals or ad campaigns.
- No rep workspace. You work in the app's export page, the API or MCP.
- One dataset, so a niche source needs another tool.
Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume and a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
2. BlitzAPI: best for flat-price search and enrichment by API
BlitzAPI sells B2B data as an API on flat monthly plans. It lists 550M+ contacts tied to LinkedIn profiles and 65M+ companies (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). It is the closest rival to LeadOcean on price model.
The plan ladder is where it gets fiddly. Core is $399 a month and leaves out emails and phones. Plus is $499 and adds verified work emails. Full is $599 and adds US phone numbers (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Auth is an x-api-key header.
Check two details before you commit. The 50 requests per second and the 15M monthly results are tied to accounts opened by September 30, 2026, against a standard 5 (BlitzAPI terms, September 2026). Limits apply per endpoint (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Its MCP server gives an assistant the API documentation, not the data (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Flat monthly price, with a stated fair-use line of 15M results a month for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. Limits for later accounts are not published.
- No credit meter on paid plans.
- A free trial of 1,000 credits with no card.
Cons
- Three paid tiers, and phones need the top one.
- Phone numbers are US only.
- The MCP server reads docs. An agent cannot search or enrich through it.
- Search pages hold 50 results, capped at 50k per query (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Best for: teams that want a flat-price search and enrichment API and run their own code.
Pricing: Core $399, Plus $499, Full $599 a month (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).
3. Crustdata: best for live company and people data in agents

Crustdata sells real-time company and people data through APIs for search, enrichment, jobs, posts and watchers. It fits signal-driven work, such as hiring spikes and funding events, better than bulk list building. Auth is a Bearer key plus an x-api-version header (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
Pricing is credit based, and the public page shows no dollar price per credit (Crustdata pricing, September 2026). The docs list costs per call. Person search is 0.03 credits per result, and enrichment with a business email is 2 credits (Crustdata docs, September 2026). Purchased credits expire after 12 months.
Volume is the catch. Standard search and enrich endpoints default to 15 to 30 requests a minute, and higher limits go through support (Crustdata docs, September 2026). Batch jobs take up to 10,000 people each (Crustdata docs, September 2026). The MCP server at install.crustdata.com/mcp signs in with OAuth (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Live data and change watchers that a static database lacks.
- Cheap search at 0.03 credits per result, so you narrow before you enrich.
- MCP server that returns company, people and job data.
Cons
- No public price per credit, so you cannot price 1M records from the site.
- Low default rate limits on standard endpoints.
- Contact enrichment needs an enterprise plan. Self-serve keys get a 403 (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
Best for: AI SDR and signal workflows that need fresh data more than raw volume.
Pricing: Credit based, with no public price list. Per-call credit costs are in the docs (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
4. People Data Labs: best for data licences and per-match enrichment

People Data Labs (PDL) is a long-running person and company data API with bulk licences. It lists ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 compliance on its pricing page (PDL pricing, September 2026). It charges per match: a request that returns a person costs one credit, and a miss costs none.
The entry price is high per record. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, which is $0.28 each. PDL says Pro profiles cost about $0.20 to $0.28, depending on volume. The Free plan gives up to 100 records a month with contact data hidden (PDL docs, September 2026). Above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only, so there is no public 1M price.
Enrichment allows 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans. Person Search defaults to 10 a minute (PDL docs, September 2026). Bulk enrichment takes 100 people per request (PDL docs, September 2026). We found no official MCP server in PDL's docs index (PDL docs, September 2026).
Pros
- A fast enrichment API at 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans.
- Bulk person enrichment and dataset licences for your own warehouse.
- Queries on any field in the person schema, 100 results a page.
Cons
- $0.28 a record at the entry rate, about $0.20 at volume. Above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only.
- Person Search is slow by default at 10 calls a minute.
- No official MCP server found, so agents need a wrapper you host.
Best for: teams that license data or need compliance paperwork and accept per-record pricing.
Pricing: Free up to 100 records a month. Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits. Enterprise custom (PDL pricing, September 2026).
5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles behind an API
FullEnrich is a waterfall: it queries many sources for each contact, and you pay only for data it finds. Its pricing page lists API access, people and company search and an MCP server on Pro (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
Credits are the meter. A work email costs 1 credit and a mobile 10. Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, which is $0.058 each. The 1,000-credit tier is $55 a month, or $0.055 each. Search costs 0.25 credits per person returned (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). A mobile costs $0.55 at the 1,000-credit tier.
The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). Bulk enrichment is async with Bearer auth (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export (FullEnrich help, September 2026).
Pros
- Waterfall across many sources, so one call can cover several vendors.
- Search, enrichment and export in the MCP server.
- No charge when nothing is found.
Cons
- Mobiles cost 10 credits each, so phone-heavy pulls get expensive fast.
- The default API limit is 60 calls a minute.
- A credit meter at volume. There is no public price for 1M work emails. The top public tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month, and above that you contact sales.
Best for: teams that want waterfall contact data, mostly emails and mobiles, through an API or an agent.
Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, or $55 for 1,000. Enterprise custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
6. Apollo: best for reps who want a database and a sequencer in one

Apollo is a sales platform with a contact database attached. It lists 240M contacts and 30M companies, plus sequences, a dialer and a Chrome extension (Apollo pricing, September 2026). It ranks low here because the price is built around seats, not volume.
Basic is $49 per seat a month with 30,000 credits a year. Professional is $79 with 48,000. Organization is $119 with 72,000, all billed annually. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8. Unused credits expire each cycle.
For code, the limits are workable. Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans, and Basic and Professional search allows 200 a minute (Apollo docs, September 2026). The MCP server works on any plan, including Free (Apollo MCP page, September 2026). Exports are capped by plan, at 25, 1,000, 2,500 or 10,000 records at a time.
Pros
- Database, sequences, dialer and CRM sync in one tool.
- MCP server on every plan, with OAuth sign-in.
- A free plan to test the data.
Cons
- Seats and credits both scale your bill, and credits expire each cycle.
- Phone numbers cost 8 credits each (Apollo API pricing, September 2026).
- Export caps by plan make large pulls slow.
Best for: sales reps who prospect and send from one workspace.
Pricing: Free. Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 per seat a month, billed annually (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
7. Cognism: best for European phone-verified mobiles

Cognism is a sales intelligence platform built around phone-verified mobiles and European compliance. It claims 10M+ phone-verified contacts and cross-references Do Not Call lists in 15 territories (Cognism Diamond Data, September 2026). It is the nearest match to Dealfront's European base.
The price is a quote. The pricing page lists Standard and Pro, each with 5 seats, and shows no dollar amounts. A credit reveals, enriches or exports one contact (Cognism pricing, September 2026). You cannot size 1M records before a sales call.
API access needs a package that includes it. Auth is OAuth 2.0 client credentials, and the MCP server exposes the same capabilities as the API to Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor (Cognism docs, September 2026). Cognism allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation (search, count and dictionary), in a 60-second window, and sets higher limits per package (Cognism rate limits, September 2026).
Pros
- Phone-verified mobiles, checked by call.
- Do Not Call cross-referencing in 15 territories, in Cognism's words.
- MCP server with the same capabilities as the API.
Cons
- No public price, so no list-price number at 1M records.
- Seat and credit model, with API access tied to the package.
- Built for reps in an app more than for code.
Best for: sales teams that dial mobiles in Europe and need compliance paperwork.
Pricing: Custom quote. Standard and Pro are listed without prices (Cognism pricing, September 2026).

OAuth 2.0 client credentials | Yes | Cognism allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation (search, count and dictionary), in a 60-second window, and sets higher limits per package (Cognism rate limits, September 2026). |
For reference, Dealfront's API allows 10 requests per second per key and 100,000 requests a month, and authenticates with an X-Api-Key header or OAuth 2.0 (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Apollo is 250 Professional seats at $99 on monthly billing, or 400 Basic seats at $49 on yearly billing. PDL has no public 1M price: it is quote only above about 100,000 profiles a year. FullEnrich has no public price at 1M, and its top public tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month. Crustdata is 1 base credit plus 1 for a business email.

Verdict
LeadOcean wins for developers who hit Dealfront's request quota or credit bill. It has a flat price, 100 requests per second per key and an MCP server that returns records. BlitzAPI is the flat-price runner-up if you run your own code. Crustdata wins for live signals, PDL for licensed datasets and FullEnrich for waterfall mobiles. Apollo suits reps, and Cognism suits European dialers. Stay on Dealfront if you need visitor identification. Otherwise start on the free plan and compare the same lookups.
FAQ
What are the Dealfront API rate limits?
The docs list 10 requests per second per API key, a burst of 15 and 100,000 requests a month. Exceeding either returns a 429 (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). Dealfront is now Leadfeeder, and these docs sit under that name.
How does Dealfront's API charge for data?
Searches are free. Retrieving a contact's deep data costs 1 credit, unless you accessed it in the last 12 months (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). Email-only enrichment costs 0.2 credit, and email plus phone costs 1 credit (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). Credits are shared with the platform and reset with the billing period.
What is the cheapest Dealfront API alternative at volume?
At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat and BlitzAPI Plus at $499 are cheapest on list price. Apollo seats cost $19,600 a month billed yearly, or $24,750 on monthly billing. PDL and FullEnrich publish no price at that volume, and Enterprise quotes narrow the gap. Dealfront and Cognism publish no price per credit.
Which Dealfront alternative has an MCP server that returns data?
LeadOcean, Crustdata, FullEnrich, Apollo and Cognism all do. Dealfront has one in beta too (Leadfeeder MCP page, September 2026). BlitzAPI's server reads documentation only, and we found no official PDL server.
Can I keep Dealfront and use another data source?
Yes. Keep Dealfront for visitor identification and call a flat-price API for the contacts. The recipe is in LeadOcean vs Dealfront. Count the audience first with count_leads, which is free.
Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?
No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
