Comparison

ZoomInfo vs Findymail (2026): Data, Pricing and API Compared

ZoomInfo is a GTM suite with a pay-as-you-go data API. Findymail is a verified email finder with an API. Here is how they compare at 1M records.

ZoomInfo is the bigger database and a full sales suite, so it wins on phone data, filters and signals. Findymail is a narrower tool that finds verified emails by API. At 1M records, neither publishes a price we could read.

Verdict

  • Pick ZoomInfo if you start from an audience, such as VPs of Sales at software firms, and need titles, emails and direct dials from one source. Search and lookup are free on its API (ZoomInfo pricing, September 2026).
  • Pick Findymail if you already know the person and company and want one verified email back, paying only when one is found (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
  • Pick neither if you pull people and company data by API at volume and want one flat monthly bill. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

Data and coverage

ZoomInfo is a far larger and wider dataset. Its API and MCP docs claim 100M+ companies and 500M+ contacts, while its Sales page quotes 420M+ contacts and 145M+ companies. The two pages do not match, so treat both as vendor claims.

Findymail does not publish a record count. It resolves an email when you ask and returns it only if the address verifies. That makes it a lookup tool: you bring the name and the company.

On phones, ZoomInfo is the clear choice. Its Sales page claims 120M+ direct dials and gives no accuracy rate (ZoomInfo Sales, September 2026). Findymail's phone finder works from a LinkedIn profile URL and returns US numbers only. Requests for EU citizens return nothing, and each number costs 10 credits (Findymail API docs, September 2026).

On search, ZoomInfo says you can filter on 300+ attributes (ZoomInfo Sales, September 2026). Findymail's Intellimatch takes a plain-language query such as "SaaS companies in US with 50-200 employees", capped at 5,000 companies per search (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Its employee search returns contacts without emails and charges 1 credit per contact found.

Findymail also has two things worth knowing. It has a standalone verifier, POST /api/verify, at 1 verifier credit per check. It also has Signals for job changes and keyword mentions (Findymail API docs, September 2026).

API and developer experience

Both tools have a REST API and an official MCP server. Findymail is faster to start: you paste a Bearer token and send one POST. ZoomInfo uses OAuth 2.0 client credentials, so a call starts with a token request. Placeholders below stand in for real people.

ZoomInfo: get a token, then enrich a contact.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/oauth/v1/token" \
  -u "$ZI_CLIENT_ID:$ZI_CLIENT_SECRET" \
  -d "grant_type=client_credentials"

curl -X POST "https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/data/v1/contacts/enrich" \
  -H "authorization: Bearer $ZI_TOKEN" \
  -H "content-type: application/vnd.api+json" \
  -d '{"data":{"type":"ContactEnrich","attributes":{"matchPersonInput":[{"personId":123456789}],"outputFields":["id","firstName","jobTitle","email"],"requiredFields":["email"]}}}'

ZoomInfo recommends a two-step flow. Search and lookup are free and return IDs. Enrich then takes up to 25 records, and each record found costs one credit unless it is already under management. A "No match" is not charged (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026).

Findymail: find an email from a name and a domain.

bash
curl -X POST "https://app.findymail.com/api/search/name" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FINDYMAIL_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name":"Jane Doe","domain":"acme.com"}'

The call uses one finder credit only if a verified email is found (Findymail API docs, September 2026). You can pass a webhook URL and get the answer asynchronously. The domain-based finder allows 5 synchronous requests at once, and async jobs can take up to 24 hours.

On throughput, the units differ, so do not compare the numbers directly. ZoomInfo counts requests per second: 5 on Builder, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling. Over the limit you get a 429 with a Retry-After header, and the account team can raise limits on request (ZoomInfo rate limits, September 2026). Findymail counts simultaneous requests: 300 by default, fewer on a few endpoints.

Pricing

ZoomInfo sells two ways. Findymail sells one way, and we could not read its prices. The examples below use the lowest published list rate for ZoomInfo and state credits for Findymail.

ZoomInfo's self-serve route is GTM AI data credits. List price falls with purchase size: $0.45 for 100 credits, $0.41 at 1,000, $0.38 at 2,500 to 10,000, $0.32 at 15,000 to 20,000 and $0.29 at 30,000 to 50,000. At 100,000 credits ($25,000) it is $0.25, and the slider stops there. Larger volumes go to Enterprise (ZoomInfo pricing, September 2026). Platform plan prices sit on zoominfo.com/pricing, which returned a human check, so we could not read them.

Findymail bills in finder credits, with a separate pool of verifier credits (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Its pricing page returned a bot check, so we quote no Findymail dollar figure. Read the current plans on Findymail's pricing page.

At 10,000 records a month

  • ZoomInfo: 10,000 data credits x $0.38 = $3,800 at list. A record is charged once per 12 months, so repeat lookups of the same contact cost nothing extra (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026).
  • Findymail: 10,000 finder credits for 10,000 verified emails. With a phone for each, 10,000 x 10 = 100,000 more credits, for US numbers only. Price: read the matching step on Findymail's pricing page.

The unit is the same, one credit per record found, and misses are free on both. What you get per unit is not. ZoomInfo returns the fuller record, and Findymail returns a verified email.

At 1M records a month

  • ZoomInfo: no public 1M price. The slider tops out at 100,000 credits for $25,000. Ten of those would be $250,000, but that assumes the $0.25 rate holds and is not a quote. Do not multiply $0.38 by 1,000,000, because $0.38 is the $1,000 tier only (ZoomInfo pricing, September 2026).
  • Findymail: 1,000,000 finder credits for emails, or 10,000,000 with a phone for each. No public 1M price that we could read, so expect a quote (Findymail pricing, September 2026).

Neither vendor lets a self-serve buyer price 1M records from a public page. Ask both for a written quote at your volume and your real hit rate before you plan around either.

Where ZoomInfo wins

  • A much larger dataset, with companies, contacts and buying signals in one place.
  • Direct dials: a claimed 120M+, against US-only numbers at 10 credits each on Findymail.
  • Free search and lookup on the API, so you pay only to enrich a record you chose.
  • 300+ search attributes, for building a list from an audience rather than a name.
  • One suite for teams that want a sales workspace, not just data.

Where Findymail wins

  • Verified emails only, and you pay only when one is found.
  • A faster start: one Bearer token and one POST, with no app, client ID or token exchange.
  • A standalone verifier for emails you already hold, and Signals for job changes.
  • A simple credit model: 1 credit per email found, 10 per phone, and failed lookups are free (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
  • Possibly a lower bill at low volume. Compare a quote for your 10,000 emails with ZoomInfo's $3,800 list figure.

If you need volume through an API

LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server with no credits and no seats. It is not a sales suite, and it has no intent data. Pro costs $499 a month flat with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups. The Free plan gives 1,000 records one-off with no card, and both plans get the same REST API and 12-tool MCP server. POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). Compare it on a list you already know, then read ZoomInfo alternatives and pricing.

FAQ

Is ZoomInfo or Findymail better for finding emails?

Findymail is simpler if you start from a name and a company and want one verified address. ZoomInfo is better if you start from an audience and need the contact too. Both charge one credit per record found.

Which is cheaper, ZoomInfo or Findymail?

We cannot say for Findymail, because its pricing page blocks automated reading. ZoomInfo's list rate at 10,000 credits comes to $3,800 (ZoomInfo pricing, September 2026). Get a Findymail quote for the same 10,000 emails and compare the two numbers.

Do both have an API and an MCP server?

Yes. ZoomInfo's API and official MCP server are open to a free GTM AI account. Findymail's REST API uses a Bearer token, and its MCP server at mcp.findymail.com/mcp has 14 tools (ZoomInfo MCP docs; Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026).

Which has more phone numbers?

ZoomInfo. Its Sales page claims 120M+ direct dials. Findymail returns US numbers only, nothing for EU citizens, at 10 credits each. Neither publishes an accuracy rate, so test a sample of your own contacts first.

How do their rate limits compare?

ZoomInfo allows 5 requests a second on Builder, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling. Findymail allows 300 simultaneous requests, with 5 on find from domain and 30 on business profile (ZoomInfo rate limits; Findymail API docs, September 2026).

How does LeadOcean compare with these two?

LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server with one flat price, $499 a month on Pro, and no credits. It has no intent data and no sales workspace. For related reading, see ZoomInfo vs SalesIntel, ZoomInfo vs Dealfront and Findymail vs Wiza. Back to all comparisons.
