Findymail API alternatives

7 Best Findymail API Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)

Seven email and people data APIs for developers who want a different credit model or higher rate limits than Findymail, compared on auth, rate limits, bulk export, MCP and the cost of 1M records a month.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

Developers leave Findymail when the credit meter or the concurrency caps get in the way. Findymail bills 1 credit per verified email and 10 per phone number (Findymail API docs, September 2026). It does not publish prices in a form we can read, so see Findymail's pricing page and we quote no Findymail price here.

The API is simple: Bearer auth and 300 concurrent requests by default. The limits that bite are narrower. Find from domain allows 5 concurrent synchronous requests and is marked deprecated. Business-profile lookups allow 30, and async jobs can take up to 24 hours (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Phone lookups exclude EU numbers (Findymail API page, September 2026).

This page ranks seven alternatives for developers, with a working LeadOcean call next to the Findymail one. For a two-column view, see LeadOcean vs Findymail.

"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Figures are list prices, not quotes. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier or cheapest public path. Findymail is not in the table because it publishes no price we can quote. See Findymail's pricing page.

What we evaluated

  • Auth and schema: the header each API expects, the identifiers it accepts and the shape of the response.
  • Rate limits: the default per-second, per-minute or concurrent cap, and what lifts it.
  • Bulk export: how many rows one request or job returns, and whether it runs async.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
  • Cost at 1M records: list-price arithmetic, plus any plan gate or row cap on the way.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test, so we quote no quality numbers.

1. LeadOcean: best for developers who pull data by API, agent or at volume

LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters, and counts are free.

Auth is an x-api-key header. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off.

Here is the same job on both APIs: a work email from a LinkedIn URL. Findymail first, at 1 finder credit if it finds a verified email. Then LeadOcean, at one record inside the flat fee on Pro.

bash
curl -X POST "https://app.findymail.com/api/search/business-profile" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FINDYMAIL_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe"}'
bash
curl -s -G "https://api.leadocean.io/v2/people/email/work" \
  --data-urlencode "linkedin_url=https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY"

Findymail answers with contact.email. LeadOcean answers with data.email, data.status and data.verified_batch_date, and data is null when the person exists but no address does (LeadOcean docs, September 2026). The phone call maps the same way: Findymail's POST /api/search/phone costs 10 credits, and LeadOcean's GET /v2/people/phone is one record.

One gap to know about. LeadOcean does not take name plus company domain. Enrichment takes a LinkedIn URL, a work email, a phone number or a person ID (LeadOcean docs, September 2026).

Bulk is POST /v1/exports at up to 50,000 rows per request, so 1M rows is 20 calls over two days. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder, a column picker, the record price before you start and a CSV download. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • Email status on every record, 13 values from verified to spam_trap.
  • Free counts, and a miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.
  • 50,000 rows per export request.

Cons

  • No name plus domain lookup. You need a LinkedIn URL, email, phone or person ID.
  • No Chrome extension, sequencer push or table builder.
  • No standalone email verifier endpoint.
  • The v2 contact endpoints count one record per call, even when nothing is found.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume, filters and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

2. BlitzAPI: best for flat-price search and enrichment by API

BlitzAPI sells B2B data as an API on flat monthly plans. Its pricing page lists 550M+ profiles, 65M+ companies and 65M+ verified emails, with company search, people search, job postings and identity resolution (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). It is the closest rival to LeadOcean on price model.

The plan ladder is where it gets fiddly. Core is $399 a month and leaves out emails and phones. Plus is $499 and adds verified work emails. Full is $599 and adds US phone numbers. Auth is an x-api-key header (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Check two details before you commit. The 50 requests per second and the 15,000,000 results a month apply to accounts opened by September 30, 2026 (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). The standard rate is 5 requests a second, and limits apply per endpoint (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Its MCP server gives an assistant the API documentation, not the data (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Flat monthly price. The launch offer states a fair-use line of 15,000,000 results a month for accounts opened by September 30, 2026.
  • Jobs data and identity resolution sit next to people and company search.
  • 1,000 free credits with no card.
  • The same x-api-key style of auth you may already use.

Cons

  • Three paid tiers, and phones need the top one.
  • Phone numbers are US only.
  • The MCP server reads docs. An agent cannot search or enrich through it.
  • The fast rate limit depends on when the account opened.

Best for: teams that want a flat-price search and enrichment API and run their own code.

Pricing: Core $399, Plus $499, Full $599 a month (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).

3. LeadMagic: best for a low per-credit price and pay on success

LeadMagic is a credit-based enrichment API. It lists 400M+ people profiles and 25M+ companies, reached through REST, CSV, a command-line tool and a hosted MCP server (LeadMagic, September 2026). Failed lookups cost nothing, the same rule Findymail uses.

The credit price falls as you climb the plans. Essential is $99 a month for 5,000 credits and Professional is $499 for 50,000. Ultimate is $849 for 100,000, or $0.00849 a credit (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). A valid email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 5.

The Email Finder endpoint allows 600 requests a minute. LeadMagic also states that a sustained find rate below 10% can lead to throttling or suspension (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). The MCP server uses OAuth, and a preview_cost call shows the price of a large job first (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • A top-plan credit of $0.00849, with mobiles at 5 credits instead of Findymail's 10.
  • No charge when an email is not found.
  • Hosted MCP with a cost preview before large operations.
  • People, company and jobs search in one API.

Cons

  • The top self-serve plan is 100,000 credits, so 1M a month needs an Enterprise quote.
  • A smaller stated database, at 400M+ people profiles.
  • A minimum find-rate policy can throttle lists with poor match rates.

Best for: teams that enrich a few hundred thousand valid emails a month and want cheap credits.

Pricing: Essential $99, Growth $249, Professional $499, Ultimate $849 a month (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

4. Anymail Finder: best for verified emails with no stated rate limit

Anymail Finder is the closest like-for-like swap for Findymail. You send a name and domain, a company, a LinkedIn URL or a decision-maker role, and it returns a verified email or nothing. It charges a credit only when it finds one (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).

Its API page says there are no rate limits, and the only limit is your credit balance. Auth is a Bearer key, and bulk jobs take up to 100,000 rows with results posted to a webhook (Anymail Finder API page, September 2026). Plans run from $29 a month for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000. One-time packs go up to 1M credits for $4,990, valid 12 months (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).

These are USD list prices from the pricing page USD view. The page shows Canadian dollars to visitors in Canada. The pricing page lists a 97%+ delivery guarantee. The API page says the same searches run over MCP in Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.

Pros

  • Name plus domain lookup, like Findymail.
  • No rate limit stated, and bulk jobs up to 100,000 rows.
  • Credits roll over while you stay subscribed, and duplicate searches are free for 30 days.
  • A one-time 1M pack at a lower rate than any monthly plan.

Cons

  • No phone endpoint.
  • No filter search, so it finds emails rather than builds lists.
  • Pack credits expire after 12 months.

Best for: teams that want Findymail's lookup model with a stated 100,000-row bulk job and no rate limit.

Pricing: $29 a month for 400 credits up to $799 for 100,000. Packs from 100,000 credits at $1,090 (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).

5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles behind an API

FullEnrich queries 25+ sources for each contact and charges only for data it finds (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). Its pricing page lists API access, people and company search and an MCP server on Pro. It is a coverage play, not a price play.

Credits are the meter. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. The entry plan is Pro at $29 a month for 500 credits ($0.058 each). The page opens on $55 a month for 1,000 credits ($0.055 each). Search costs 0.25 credits per person returned (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).

Auth is a Bearer key. The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts in a bulk request, which is 6,000 contacts a minute (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export, and it asks before it spends credits (FullEnrich help, September 2026).

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call covers several vendors.
  • Search, enrichment and export in the MCP server.
  • Bulk enrichment of 100 contacts per request.
  • Credits roll over for 3 months on monthly plans.

Cons

  • $0.055 a credit on the 1,000-credit tier and $0.035 at the top monthly tier. No public price at 1M.
  • Mobiles cost 10 credits each, the same as Findymail.
  • A default limit of 60 calls a minute.

Best for: teams that want waterfall contact data, mostly emails and mobiles, through an API or an agent.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, Enterprise custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

6. Hunter: best for domain search with sequences in the same account

Hunter finds emails by domain and name, and it sends sequences from the same account. The API is on every plan, including Free, and authenticates with X-API-KEY as a header, a query parameter or a Bearer token (Hunter API docs, September 2026).

Credits are the meter. Free gives 50 a month. Starter is $49 a month for 2,000, Growth gives 10,000 and Scale is $299 for 25,000, or $209 billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026). An email found costs 1 credit and a verification costs 0.5.

For API and bulk volume, Data Platform sells Search credits in one-off packs valid 12 months. 1,000,000 credits cost $6,900 (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).

Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute. Discover allows 5 a second and 50 a minute. The MCP server runs on every plan with an API key or OAuth and spends your plan credits (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

Pros

  • API and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • 15 requests a second on Email Finder, a fast default.
  • Unlimited users on every plan.
  • Sequences, a browser extension and a verifier sit in the same account.

Cons

  • Monthly credits do not roll over, and Scale stops at 25,000 a month.
  • Volume means Data Platform packs, bought once and valid 12 months.
  • Discover is capped at 5 requests a second.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and send from the same tool.

Pricing: Free. Starter from $49 a month, Scale $299 a month for 25,000 credits (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

7. Prospeo: best for per-seat plans with an extension and CRM sync

Prospeo is a finder with a Chrome extension, CRM sync and a public API. Plans are priced per user: Starter $49, Growth $99 and Pro $249 a month, with 24,000, 60,000 and 180,000 credits per user per year (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Free API access is disputed. The pricing table shows no public API on Free. The help center lists limited API access at 50 requests a day, and the API docs say free API access for all users (Prospeo help center, September 2026). A verified email costs 1 credit and a mobile 10.

Auth is an X-KEY header (Prospeo docs, September 2026). Enrich endpoints allow 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth and 30 on Pro. Daily caps are 2,000, 5,000 and 500,000 enrich calls. Search is slower at 1, 2 and 5 a second (Prospeo docs, September 2026).

The hosted MCP server at mcp.prospeo.io supports OAuth 2.0 or an API key and exposes 8 tools, including search_person and enrich_person (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026). Credit add-ons cut the per-credit price, but the slider is not readable in plain text. Add-ons run from $0.02 a credit (1,000 credits for $20) down to $0.01 at 350,000 a month ($3,500), and to $0.009 at 500,000 a year ($4,500) (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). No add-on reaches 1M in a month. The cheapest public path to 1M is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500, which is $14,456 a month for 1,010,000 credits. Billed yearly, 3 Pro seats at $2,241 plus the 500,000-credit yearly add-on at $4,500 is $11,223 once for 1,040,000 credits.

Pros

  • OAuth or API key on an MCP server with search and enrichment.
  • Enrich limit of 30 requests a second and 500,000 a day on Pro.
  • Chrome extension and HubSpot and Salesforce sync for reps.

Cons

  • Every paid plan is priced per user.
  • Starter and Growth cap enrichment at 2,000 and 5,000 calls a day.
  • Search returns a page per credit, so list building costs credits.

Best for: small teams that want an extension, CRM sync and an API in one per-seat plan.

Pricing: Free with 100 credits a month. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Hunter uses its Data Platform price for 1,000,000 Search credits. LeadMagic, FullEnrich and Prospeo sell no plan at 1M a month, so their cells show the top public tier or the cheapest public path. Prospeo's path is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the $3,500 add-on.

How to choose

  • You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second.
  • You need a name plus domain lookup like Findymail's: Anymail Finder, at $29 a month for 400 credits.
  • You want a flat-price API from a second vendor: BlitzAPI Plus, if you can live with a docs-only MCP server.
  • You buy valid emails by the hundred thousand: LeadMagic, at $0.00849 a credit on Ultimate.
  • You need waterfall emails and mobiles: FullEnrich, and budget 10 credits per mobile.
  • You send from the same account you search in: Hunter.
  • Your reps want an extension and CRM sync: Prospeo, or stay on Findymail.
  • You want verified-only emails and a small volume: stay on Findymail, and compare Findymail's pricing page with Pro's $499 flat price.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for developers who pull data by API, agent or at volume. It has a flat price, emails and phones in one plan and an MCP server that returns records. BlitzAPI is the flat-price runner-up if you run your own code. Anymail Finder is the closest swap for Findymail's name plus domain lookup. LeadMagic wins for cheap valid emails and FullEnrich for waterfall mobiles. Hunter suits teams that also send, and Prospeo suits reps who want an extension. Findymail may cost less than Pro at low volume, but it publishes no price we can quote. Start free and compare the same lookups.

FAQ

Why do developers leave Findymail's API?

Credits and caps. Credits scale in a straight line, and phones cost 10 credits with no EU coverage (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Some endpoints also have low concurrency caps.

Is Findymail cheaper than LeadOcean?

We cannot say. Findymail does not publish its prices in a form we can read, so see Findymail's pricing page for your volume. LeadOcean Pro is $499 a month flat.

What does Findymail cost at 1M records a month?

Not published here. Check Findymail's pricing page or ask Findymail for a quote. Phones cost 10 credits each, so a phone-heavy job costs more than an email-only one.

Which Findymail alternative has an MCP server that returns data?

LeadOcean, LeadMagic, FullEnrich, Hunter, Prospeo and Anymail Finder all do. BlitzAPI's server reads documentation only. Findymail has its own official server with 14 tools (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026).

Which alternative has the highest API rate limit?

LeadOcean allows 100 requests per second per key on every plan. BlitzAPI allows 50 per second for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. Anymail Finder states no rate limit, and Findymail allows 300 concurrent requests.

Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
