ZoomInfo vs LeadMagic (2026): Data, Pricing and API Compared

ZoomInfo is a large data platform with a pay-as-you-go API called GTM AI. LeadMagic is an enrichment API priced per valid result. Here is how they compare at 10,000 and 1M records.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

ZoomInfo and LeadMagic both sell B2B contact data, but they sit at opposite ends of the market. ZoomInfo is a large platform with intent data and a newer pay-as-you-go API. LeadMagic is a narrow enrichment API that bills per valid result.

Verdict

  • Pick ZoomInfo if reps need intent signals, org charts and a dialer on one login, or if you want the larger database on paper. A credit costs $0.25 to $0.45 on the public GTM AI ladder.
  • Pick LeadMagic if a script or an agent does the work and you want public prices, monthly billing and a free miss. A valid email is 1 credit, about $0.01 to $0.02 on a monthly plan.
  • Pick neither if you need volume through an API at a price you can read. ZoomInfo and LeadMagic both publish no price at 1M records. LeadOcean is one option: Pro is $499 a month, flat.

Data and coverage

ZoomInfo claims the larger database, and by a clear margin on contacts. Its own pages disagree on the count: 420M+ contacts on the Sales page and 500M+ in the MCP docs. LeadMagic claims 400M+ people (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026; GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026; LeadMagic, September 2026).

The company gap is bigger. ZoomInfo cites 100M to 145M companies, LeadMagic 25M+. LeadMagic adds 46M+ job posts. ZoomInfo adds intent signals, news, scoops and org charts that LeadMagic does not sell (GTM AI API docs, September 2026).

Phones are where ZoomInfo leans hardest. Its Sales page claims 120M+ direct dials and gives no accuracy rate. LeadMagic publishes no phone count and sells a mobile finder at 5 credits per valid result (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026; LeadMagic pricing guide, September 2026).

The two handle a miss differently. ZoomInfo search and lookup are free, and a credit is spent only when you enrich a record. LeadMagic bills a valid email and charges nothing when none is found (ZoomInfo credit docs, September 2026; LeadMagic docs, September 2026).

ZoomInfo also charges a record once per 12 months. Enriching the same contact again inside that window costs no extra credit. LeadMagic has no such window, so a repeat lookup is a repeat charge.

Every size figure above is a vendor claim. Neither tool publishes how many records carry a verified email. Run 500 of your own contacts through the free ZoomInfo credits and one LeadMagic month, then count valid emails.

API and developer experience

Both have a REST API and an MCP server. The difference is the flow. ZoomInfo is a three-step OAuth workflow. LeadMagic has one endpoint per job and an API key.

ZoomInfo authenticates with an OAuth bearer token. The documented flow is lookup, then a free contact search, then a paid enrich call that takes up to 25 records (ZoomInfo docs, September 2026). The enrich call is POST /gtm/data/v1/contacts/enrich:

bash
curl --request POST \
  --url 'https://api.zoominfo.com/gtm/data/v1/contacts/enrich' \
  --header 'accept: application/vnd.api+json' \
  --header 'content-type: application/vnd.api+json' \
  --header "authorization: Bearer $ZOOMINFO_ACCESS_TOKEN" \
  --data '{
    "data": {
      "type": "ContactEnrich",
      "attributes": {
        "matchPersonInput": [{ "personId": 123456789 }],
        "outputFields": ["id", "firstName", "lastName", "jobTitle", "email", "phone", "mobilePhone"],
        "requiredFields": ["email"]
      }
    }
  }'

Search returns a person ID and match hints such as hasEmail. It costs nothing. You pay one credit when you enrich, and only the first time in 12 months.

LeadMagic uses an X-API-Key header. The email finder is POST /v1/people/email-finder and takes a name and a domain (LeadMagic docs, September 2026):

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadmagic.io/v1/people/email-finder" \
  -H "X-API-Key: $LEADMAGIC_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com"}'

A valid email costs 1 credit. No email found returns a null status and costs nothing. Mobiles are a separate call at 5 credits each.

The limits differ in size. ZoomInfo allows 5 requests a second on Builder and the free tier, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling. Its docs also list 25 a second as the default, with paid add-ons at 30 and 35, so the two pages differ (ZoomInfo rate limits, September 2026; credit docs).

LeadMagic's email finder allows 600 requests a minute. Its search API is zero-credit only on Professional at 5 requests a second and Ultimate at 10. On Essential and Growth it bills about 1 credit per returned person (LeadMagic search docs, September 2026).

On MCP, ZoomInfo needs a GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription with data credits. An account that holds only recurring monthly credits cannot use it. LeadMagic's server takes OAuth sign-in only, so a headless script cannot use it (GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026; LeadMagic MCP, September 2026).

Pricing

ZoomInfo has two price models. Platform plans are annual contracts quoted by sales, and the pricing page is behind a bot check. GTM AI sells data credits, no contract, no seat fee. LeadMagic sells monthly plans with a shared credit pool (ZoomInfo, July 2026; GTM AI pricing, September 2026; LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

For scale, Vendr reports a median of $33,500 a year across 1,574 ZoomInfo purchases (Vendr, February 2026). This page prices the public GTM AI credits.

GTM AI list price per data credit falls with purchase size (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). It is $0.45 for 100 credits and $0.41 at 1,000. It is $0.38 from 2,500 to 10,000, $0.32 at 15,000 to 20,000 and $0.29 at 30,000 to 50,000. It is $0.25 at 100,000. LeadMagic monthly plans cost $0.0198, $0.01245, $0.00998 and $0.00849 a credit, from Essential to Ultimate.

At 10,000 records a month

For ZoomInfo, one data credit enriches one contact record. 10,000 records is 10,000 credits at the $0.38 rate. 10,000 x $0.38 = $3,800 at list. The 70% launch offer covers only a first purchase and is not a list price.

For LeadMagic, 10,000 valid emails is 10,000 credits, and Growth includes 20,000 for $249 a month, or $208 a month billed yearly ($2,490 a year). The effective price is $249 / 10,000 = $0.0249 per email, about 15 times less than ZoomInfo's $0.38.

Mobiles change the sum. 10,000 mobiles at 5 credits is 50,000 credits, which is Professional at $499 a month, or $416 a month billed yearly. ZoomInfo's $3,800 buys 10,000 contact records, with phone fields requested in the same call, but a record may hold no number.

At 1M records a month

ZoomInfo has no public 1M price. The credit slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000, which is $0.25 a credit. Larger volumes go to Enterprise sales, and ZoomInfo does not say whether the $0.25 rate holds above that (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).

LeadMagic has no public 1M price either. The top self-serve plan is Ultimate at $849 a month for 100,000 credits, which is one tenth of 1M. Top-up prices are not published, and Enterprise starts at $2,490 a quarter, paid upfront, with custom volume pricing (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026; LeadMagic help, September 2026).

At the one volume where both publish a price, 100,000 records, ZoomInfo is 100,000 x $0.25 = $25,000 and LeadMagic Ultimate is $849 a month. The rest is a quote on both sides.

Where ZoomInfo wins

  • Intent, signals and org charts. ZoomInfo sells buying signals, news, scoops and org charts beside its contact data. LeadMagic's own comparison page says it offers no intent or territory tools, though it sells job-post hiring signals (LeadMagic comparison page, September 2026).
  • A sales suite. The Sales product adds a phone dialer, email cadences and CRM integrations on the same data (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026).
  • A bigger database on paper. More contacts, many more companies and a claimed 120M+ direct dials.
  • A real free tier. 1,000 data credits and 1,000 AI credits with no card, plus MCP, API and CLI access (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
  • Higher rate limits. 25 to 35 requests a second on paid packages, against about 10 a second on LeadMagic's email finder.

Where LeadMagic wins

  • Public prices and monthly billing. Plans run $99 to $849 a month, self-serve, with a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment (LeadMagic help, September 2026).
  • Cost at small volume. $0.0249 per email at 10,000 a month, against $0.38 on ZoomInfo's public ladder.
  • Pay for results. A valid email costs 1 credit and a miss is free.
  • No seat licence for a pipeline nobody logs into. Seats are 3 to 20 and share one credit pool. Monthly plans bank unused credits up to 2x the allocation.
  • Job data. 46M+ job posts and a job-change check at 3 credits.

If you need volume through an API

We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. LeadOcean holds 693M people and 63M companies, and you reach them over REST and MCP. Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches and lookups and a limit of 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

For bulk work, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. The app also has an Exports page with a filter builder, a price preview and CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). There is no sequencer, dialer or CRM, and no intent data. If your reps live in ZoomInfo, see the ZoomInfo alternative page.

FAQ

Is LeadMagic cheaper than ZoomInfo?

At 10,000 valid emails a month, yes. LeadMagic Growth is $249 a month, and ZoomInfo's public credit price is $0.38, or $3,800 for 10,000. ZoomInfo platform plans have no public price, so that comparison cannot be run.

Does ZoomInfo have an API and an MCP server?

Yes. GTM AI is ZoomInfo's API, MCP server and CLI, with a free tier of 1,000 data credits and 5 requests a second. The MCP server needs a free GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription with data credits (GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026).

Does LeadMagic have a free plan?

No. It has no free plan or trial credits. It is pay-as-you-go from $99 a month, with a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first subscription payment (LeadMagic help, September 2026). ZoomInfo's GTM AI gives 1,000 data credits free.

Which has more phone numbers?

Which one can do 1M records a month?

Neither publishes a 1M price. ZoomInfo's slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000, and LeadMagic's top plan is 100,000 credits at $849 a month. Both need an Enterprise quote at 1M.

Can I use both?

Yes. LeadMagic's comparison page says plenty of teams run the two side by side, and both have a native Clay integration (LeadMagic comparison page, September 2026). Use ZoomInfo for named accounts and signals, and LeadMagic for cheap email and mobile lookups at scale.
