LeadMagic is a data API and MCP server that sells credits. Kaspr is a LinkedIn contact finder that sells seats, with credits on top. LeadMagic fits engineers and agents that need verified emails and mobiles in code. Kaspr fits reps who find numbers one profile at a time in a browser.
All prices and limits below were checked in September 2026, each with its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.
Verdict
- Pick LeadMagic if code or an agent does the lookups. It has a documented REST API, a hosted MCP server and pay-on-success credits. Growth is $249 a month for 20,000 credits (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
- Pick Kaspr if reps live on LinkedIn and want a Chrome extension, Sales Navigator support and European phone numbers. Business is $99 per user a month (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). Its API is on request and capped per day.
- Pick neither if you pull a million records a month at a fixed bill. Neither publishes a 1M price. LeadOcean is one flat-fee option.

Data and coverage
LeadMagic publishes the bigger and more specific numbers. Its homepage lists 400M+ people, 25M+ companies and 46M+ job posts (LeadMagic, September 2026). It publishes no email or phone count, and no split by country.
Kaspr leads with Europe and phones. Its homepage claims 200m+ profiles and 500m+ phone numbers and emails. Its data page claims 200 million European B2B decision-makers from 120+ providers (Kaspr homepage, September 2026; Kaspr data page). The units differ, so the totals do not compare like for like.
Neither publishes a find rate. LeadMagic validates every email before it returns one, and a miss costs nothing. Kaspr says its data comes from 120+ providers and is verified, but it publishes no match rate.
LeadMagic also sells job posts, job change checks at 3 credits a check, and ad search. Kaspr's public API docs list no job or company endpoint (Kaspr API docs, September 2026).
Test both on your own list. Send the same 200 contacts through each and compare the hit rate on the countries you sell into. Kaspr's free plan has no API, so test it in the extension.
API and developer experience
LeadMagic is an API first. Kaspr's API is a thin layer on top of its extension. The two start from different inputs, so they suit different jobs.
LeadMagic finds a work email from a name and a domain, or from a profile URL. It returns the email with its validation status. One credit is spent per valid email, and nothing on a miss (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).
curl -X POST "https://api.leadmagic.io/v1/people/email-finder" \
-H "X-API-Key: $LEADMAGIC_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com"}'Kaspr enriches one profile from its LinkedIn ID. The help center example posts name and id to /profile/linkedin, with the key in an Authorization header (Kaspr help center, September 2026).
curl -X POST "https://api.developers.kaspr.io/profile/linkedin" \
-H "Authorization: $KASPR_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"name":"Jane Doe","id":"jane-doe"}'Each Kaspr call spends one credit for the data type fetched, plus one export credit for each successful call. The API does not accept Sales Navigator URLs (Kaspr help center, September 2026).
Search is the other gap. LeadMagic has people, company and jobs search. It is zero-credit only on Professional and Ultimate, at 5 and 10 requests a second. On Essential and Growth it bills about 1 credit per returned person (LeadMagic People Search docs, September 2026). Kaspr's searches run in the LinkedIn extension.
For agents, LeadMagic hosts an MCP server at mcp.leadmagic.io/mcp, with OAuth sign-in only (LeadMagic MCP, September 2026). Kaspr lists no MCP server on its pricing, API or help pages. Absence on those pages is not proof, so ask Kaspr if it matters.
Pricing
Both sell credits, but Kaspr also sells seats. The examples below use work emails through the API, one lookup per record, every lookup a hit. Prices are monthly list first, billed-yearly after.
At 10,000 records a month, work emails. LeadMagic needs Growth: $249 a month for 20,000 credits, or $208 a month billed yearly ($2,490 a year). The spare 10,000 credits roll over on monthly plans, up to 2x the allocation (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
On Kaspr, B2B email credits are unlimited on paid plans, subject to fair use. But each API call also spends an export credit. Starter allows 250 requests a day, about 7,500 a month, so it cannot do the job. Business allows 500 a day, about 15,000 a month.
Business is $99 a month per user. Its 30,000 exports a year average 2,500 a month, well short of 10,000 calls. Kaspr sells export add-on packs, 10,000 credits for $308 on the monthly plan (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). The page does not say whether those packs lift the plan's export limit, so ask Kaspr before you plan on 10,000 a month.
LeadMagic has the clearer path at this size: one $249 plan with no daily cap. Kaspr's annual figures ($79 for Business) sit in the page markup, but the page shows no annual option, so they are reported, not offered.
At 10,000 records a month, mobile numbers. A LeadMagic mobile costs 5 credits, so 10,000 mobiles is 50,000 credits. That is Professional at $499 a month, or $416 billed yearly ($4,990 a year).
Kaspr phone credits come in packs. The 100,000 pack is $20,600 on the yearly plan, and monthly packs are a tenth of the size at a tenth of the price. So 10,000 phone credits is $2,060, plus the $99 seat, before the 200 phone credits Business already includes and before any export add-on (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
At 1M records a month. Neither publishes a price. LeadMagic's top public tier is Ultimate, $849 a month for 100,000 credits, or $0.00849 a credit. Self-serve plans stop there, and top-up and Enterprise rates are not published. Enterprise starts at $2,490 a quarter, with custom volume pricing (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
Ultimate covers one tenth of 1M, so ask LeadMagic for a quote. Speed is not the blocker: 1,000,000 requests at 600 a minute is about 27.8 hours.
Kaspr's top public tier is Business, with 30,000 exports a year and 500 API requests a day. At 500 a day, 1,000,000 requests take 2,000 days. No public 1M price. Enterprise is custom, so ask Kaspr for a quote (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
Where LeadMagic wins
- Built for code and agents. A documented REST API and a hosted MCP server. Limits are per minute or per second, not 250 or 500 requests a day.
- Cheaper at 10,000 mobiles. $499 for 50,000 credits, against $2,060 in Kaspr phone credits plus a seat.
- Pay on success. A failed email lookup is free, and seats are included in the plan price.
- More data types. Job posts, job change checks, ad search and company search sit behind the same key.
LeadMagic's weak points are no free plan, credits that scale in a straight line and no public price at 1M.
Where Kaspr wins
- The LinkedIn workflow. A rep opens a profile, clicks once and gets a number. It also runs on Sales Navigator on Starter and Recruiter Lite on Business (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
- Europe. Kaspr claims 200 million European B2B decision-makers. LeadMagic publishes no European count.
- Small teams. The Free plan gives 15 B2B email and 5 phone credits a month, and credits roll over on paid plans.
- Native integrations. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Lemlist, Brevo, Aircall, Ringover and Zapier (Kaspr integrations, September 2026).
Kaspr's weak points are the seat-plus-credit bill, an API on request and a daily request cap that rules out bulk work.
If you need volume through an API
We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. It has a free plan with 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, and no seats, credits or per-record price (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. The same REST API and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools run on every plan (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).
For bulk pulls, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, or you can use the Exports page in the app. 1M rows is 20 requests over two days (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). See pricing for the detail.

FAQ
Is LeadMagic cheaper than Kaspr?
For mobiles, yes: 10,000 cost $499 on LeadMagic Professional, against $2,060 in Kaspr phone credits plus a $99 seat. For emails, Kaspr Business is $99 with unlimited B2B emails, but its export limit caps volume. At 1M neither publishes a price.
Does Kaspr have an API?
Yes, but access is on request from the Starter plan up, and it is not on Free. Starter allows 250 requests a day and Business 500 (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). It starts from a LinkedIn profile URL.
Does either tool have an MCP server?
LeadMagic does. Its hosted server accepts OAuth sign-in only (LeadMagic MCP, September 2026). Kaspr lists none on its pricing, API or help pages.
Which has better phone numbers?
Neither publishes a phone count, so test both. Kaspr leads its pitch with phone numbers and sells phone credits on every plan. A LeadMagic mobile costs 5 credits. Run the same 200 contacts through each.
Which is better for European data?
Kaspr, by its own claim of 200 million European B2B decision-makers (Kaspr data page, September 2026). LeadMagic publishes a global total only. Compare hit rates on your own target countries.
Does LeadMagic have a free plan?
No. It is pay-as-you-go from $99 a month, with a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first subscription payment (LeadMagic help, September 2026). Kaspr has a Free plan with monthly credits.
