Kaspr is a LinkedIn-first contact finder sold per user, with phone, email and export credits on top. LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server at one flat price. If your reps look up one profile at a time in a browser, Kaspr fits. If you pull data in code or through an agent, LeadOcean is cheaper and has no daily request cap.
Why teams switch from Kaspr
You pay per seat and per credit
Kaspr Starter costs $65 per user a month and Business costs $99, both billed monthly in USD (EUR 59 and EUR 99 in the default euro view). Annual figures of $49 and $79 sit in the page markup, but the page shows no annual option, so treat them as reported. Phone, direct email and export credits are separate, and add-on credits cost extra (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
The API is on request and throttled
Kaspr API access is available upon request from Starter up. The plan table lists 20 requests an hour and 250 a day on Starter, and 250 an hour and 500 a day on Business (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
Every API call spends two credits
Kaspr charges a credit for the data type you fetch and one export credit for each successful call (Kaspr help center, September 2026). A phone lookup through the API is a phone credit plus an export credit.
The API starts from a LinkedIn URL
Kaspr's API page says all you need is a LinkedIn profile URL. Sales Navigator URLs do not work through the API (Kaspr API page, September 2026; Kaspr help center). Finding the people in the first place happens in the extension.

What 1M, 5M and 25M records cost
Kaspr sells data in credits, so cost scales with volume. LeadOcean Pro stays at $499 a month. Kaspr publishes no price at these volumes. The Kaspr columns are illustrations: list add-on rates on the pricing page, before seats, not a quote.
| Records a month | Kaspr, phone record | Kaspr, work email only | LeadOcean |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1M | No public price. Illustration: $240,000. | No public price. Illustration: about $30,800. | $499 a month. |
| 5M | No public price. Illustration: $1,200,000. | No public price. Illustration: about $154,000. | $499 a month. |
| 25M | No public price. Illustration: $6,000,000. | No public price. Illustration: about $770,000. | $499 a month. Past fair use, one email raises the headroom. |
Kaspr arithmetic, USD, list price: a phone record is one phone credit at $0.21 plus one export credit at $0.03, so $0.24. A work email record is the export credit alone, $0.03, because B2B email credits are unlimited on paid plans. The 1M figure is ten 100,000-credit packs at $3,080 (Kaspr pricing, September 2026; Kaspr help center, September 2026). The calculator below uses the $0.24 phone record.
Kaspr publishes no Enterprise price. The pricing page says Enterprise is custom with unlimited credits. The highest public tier is Business, at $99 per user a month with 30,000 exports a year and 500 API requests a day. The largest listed add-on pack is 100,000 export credits for $3,080 on the yearly plan, about $0.03 a credit (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
Seat fees are left out. Business includes 2,400 phone credits a year per seat. The Business API cap of 500 requests a day also rules out these volumes, so they need an Enterprise quote.

Where LeadOcean wins
A flat bill at any volume
Pro is $499 a month. Every person or company returned counts as a record, but there is no credit balance, no seat price and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off, and one email to support gets you more headroom.
An API you can actually run at volume
Every LeadOcean plan allows 100 requests per second per key, including Free. Kaspr's Business plan lists 500 API requests a day. A one-off 50,000 row pull is one POST /v1/exports call, and a 1M-row pull is 20.
Search, companies and contacts in one place
Search people with 50 filters and companies with 34, across 254 countries and 534 industries. Counts are free. You can size an audience before you spend a record, then look up a company by domain with POST /v1/companies/enrich. Kaspr's API starts from a LinkedIn URL you already have.
Built for agents, with real examples
The same data is reachable over REST and over MCP, and the Free plan includes both. A phone lookup is one record and one GET request. A miss still counts one record on the v2 contact endpoints, so check has_phone in search first, which is free to size.
curl -G "https://api.leadocean.io/v2/people/phone" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
--data-urlencode "linkedin_url=https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe"For Claude Code, run claude mcp add --transport http leadocean https://api.leadocean.io/mcp, then claude mcp login leadocean. The server uses OAuth 2.1, so no key is pasted into a chat.
Where Kaspr wins
The LinkedIn workflow
Kaspr is a Chrome extension first. A rep opens a profile, clicks once and gets a number. It also runs on top of Sales Navigator and LinkedIn Recruiter Lite (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). LeadOcean has no extension and no browser workflow, so a sales team that lives on LinkedIn should keep Kaspr.
European reach, by its own number
Kaspr says it holds 200 million European B2B decision-makers, sourced from 120+ providers (Kaspr data page, September 2026). A LeadOcean count on 2026-09-30 found 52.7M people in Europe with an email and 6.4M with a phone number. On Europe alone, Kaspr claims the bigger set. Run your own list through both before you choose.
Cheap seats and native integrations
One rep on Starter pays $65 a month billed monthly in USD (EUR 59). Kaspr pushes leads natively to HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, Lemlist and Brevo, and dials through Aircall and Ringover (Kaspr integrations, September 2026). LeadOcean has no native CRM connectors. You export rows or call the API. For a single rep with no engineer, Kaspr is simpler and cheaper.
Use both: Kaspr on LinkedIn, LeadOcean for volume
You do not have to drop Kaspr. Keep a few seats for reps who prospect profile by profile in LinkedIn. Send every bulk pull, list build and agent task to LeadOcean, where there is no credit to burn.
- Create a free LeadOcean key at app.leadocean.io/register. The free plan needs no card and includes the API and MCP server.
- Size your audience with
count_leads, which is free. Then pull it with/v1/people/searchandPOST /v1/exports, 50,000 rows per request. - Give reps the export. They keep the Kaspr extension for one-off profiles, so Kaspr phone credits go to the calls that matter.
FAQ
Does Kaspr have an API?
Yes, but access is upon request from Starter up, and Free has none. Starter allows 250 requests a day and Business 500 a day (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). Each successful call spends a data credit and an export credit.
How much does Kaspr cost?
Starter is $65 per user a month and Business is $99, billed monthly in USD (EUR 59 and EUR 99 in the default euro view). Enterprise is a custom quote. The page markup also holds annual figures of $49 and $79, about 24% and 20% lower. The page shows no annual option and its FAQ says subscriptions renew monthly, so call those reported (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
Does Kaspr have an MCP server?
We found none on Kaspr's pricing, API or help pages, which list a REST API and Zapier. LeadOcean has a hosted MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp with 12 tools, on every plan including Free.
Is LeadOcean as strong for Europe?
Not by Kaspr's claim. A count on 2026-09-30 found 52.7M people in Europe with an email and 6.4M with a phone. Kaspr says it has 200 million European contacts. Test both on your own target list.
Can I use LeadOcean with Kaspr?
Yes. Keep Kaspr seats for LinkedIn prospecting and use LeadOcean for bulk search, exports and agent work. The steps are in the section above.
What does LeadOcean cost, and is there a limit?
Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down instead of cut off, and support can raise the headroom.
