Best B2B data providers for the UK

7 Best B2B Data Providers for the UK in 2026

Seven providers ranked on UK coverage, with a test you can run on each before you pay, a live LeadOcean count for the UK and the list cost of 1M records a month.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

A B2B data provider for the UK sells people and company records, such as titles, work emails and phones, for contacts who work in the United Kingdom or at UK companies. Sales teams, agencies and agent builders who sell into British accounts need one. Most vendors publish a global record count and no UK number, so the headline size tells you little.

This page ranks seven providers on one question: how many usable UK contacts can you confirm before you pay? We ran free counts on LeadOcean. For the rest we give the test you can run yourself, because we have not run paid searches on their accounts. Each has its own comparison: Cognism, Kaspr, Lead411, Apollo, ZoomInfo and Lusha. What we evaluated

UK coverage decides the order. Everything else is a tiebreak.

  • UK test: can you size UK contacts for free, with a country filter, before spending a credit?
  • UK coverage on record: does the vendor name the UK, or give a UK count, in a first-party source?
  • API and MCP: can code or an agent run the same UK search and pull the rows?
  • Price at volume: flat, credits, seats or quote, and the list cost of 1M records.
  • Rate limit: the default per second, minute or day for a bulk UK pull.

We ran no accuracy test, so we quote no match rates. Only LeadOcean gets UK counts from us, dated 1 October 2026. Only Lusha publishes a UK contact figure, with no email split. Every other UK number comes from a test you run.

1. LeadOcean: best for UK pulls by API, agent or export

LeadOcean is the only provider here where we can show UK counts. On 1 October 2026 a free count_leads call with country: GB returned 4,238,467 people with a mailable email. "Mailable" means verified, catch_all_valid or catch_all. The call costs no records.

The code for the United Kingdom is GB, not UK. country is where the person is. hqCountry is where the company is headquartered. They give different answers, so test both.

Filter (counted 1 October 2026, free)People
country: GB, mailable email4,238,467
country: GB, jobLevel C-Team or VP, mailable email339,835
hqCountry: GB, mailable email (company HQ in the UK)4,262,119
country: IE, mailable email (Ireland, counted separately)359,203
country: GB, emailStatus: verified, jobFunction Sales & Business Development92,971
country: GB, holds a phone number, any email status2,229,488

The first four rows are mailable counts. The fifth counts only verified addresses in one function. The last is labelled by what it filters, and it includes people whose email we would not send to.

Over REST, the free sizing call is a search with count=true in the query string and limit 1 in the body. Example:

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"country": ["GB"], "limit": 1}'

meta.total stops at 100,000 on that route, so use count_leads over MCP for the exact UK figure. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp has 13 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.1.

Solo is $97 a month at 50 requests a second, and Agency is $497 a month at 200 requests a second with 5 keys. There are no credits and no per-record price: paid plans have a fair-use pace. Person enrich also returns career history, such as past roles and education.

Pros

  • Free exact counts by country, HQ country, seniority, function and email status.
  • Flat monthly plans with a fair-use pace, with REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows a request, so a UK list is a short export job.
  • Email status comes back on every record, with 13 values, so you can filter out risky addresses before you send.

Cons

  • The dataset refreshes monthly, so a UK job change can lag by up to a month. Each record carries its own fetched_at date.
  • No refund or credit-back for bounced emails. Read email_status before sending.
  • No rep workspace, sequencer, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension. The app has an Exports page.
  • Past the fair-use pace, the key is slowed until the window resets. Bulk CSV export is not on Free.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that pull UK records at volume on a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records for life, no card, 5 requests a second. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. Cognism: best for phone-verified UK and European contacts through a sales contract

cognism homepage

Cognism leads its homepage with "Europe's most trusted B2B data" (Cognism, September 2026). That is positioning, not a count. We found no UK figure on its public pages.

What it does publish is phone data. Its Diamond Data page claims over 10m phone-verified contacts globally and Do Not Call cross-referencing in 15 territories (Cognism Diamond Data, September 2026). It does not say which territories, so ask whether the UK is one before you cold-call.

The search schema has a location person filter and a count route, POST /persons/filter/count (Cognism API reference, September 2026). The API allows 500 requests a minute per operation (Cognism rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server has 15 tools (Cognism MCP docs, September 2026).

The UK test: ask for a trial with API access, then call the count route with a United Kingdom location. Search tokens cost 1 per record returned. The docs disagree on counts. The Credits page says a count costs 1 search token (Cognism credits docs, September 2026). The MCP tool table lists counts as free (Cognism MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Europe-first positioning, with Do Not Call cross-referencing in 15 territories.
  • A count route in the API, plus a 15-tool MCP server.
  • One credit per revealed contact, and re-viewing a revealed contact is free.
  • On-demand phone verification on Pro.

Cons

  • No public price for a plan, seat or credit.
  • API and MCP need a package that includes them.
  • No UK coverage figure and no named list of Do Not Call territories on the pages we read.

Best for: teams that cold-call UK and European buyers and buy phone data through a negotiated contract.

Pricing: no public price. Standard and Pro are quote only (Cognism pricing, September 2026).

3. Kaspr: best for LinkedIn prospecting with UK pricing in pounds

Kaspr is the one tool here that prices in pounds. Starter is GBP 51 and Business is GBP 85 a user a month, billed monthly (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). Its data page says the company was born in France, with hubs in the UK and Spain, and promises "200 million + European B2B contacts" (Kaspr data page, September 2026). That is a European headline with no UK split.

Kaspr works inside LinkedIn through a Chrome extension. API access is on request on paid plans, not on Free. Each call spends a credit for the data type plus an export credit (Kaspr help center, September 2026). We found no MCP server on its public API docs (Kaspr API docs, October 2026).

The UK test: use the Free plan with the extension. Open 20 LinkedIn profiles of UK buyers and count how many return a work email and a phone. Free has 15 B2B email credits and 5 phone credits a month, so the sample is small.

Pros

  • Prices in pounds, euros and dollars, with a Free plan to test.
  • Unlimited B2B email credits on paid plans under fair use.
  • Credits roll over and are shared across the account on paid plans.

Cons

  • API requests are capped: Starter 20 an hour and 250 a day, Business 250 an hour and 500 a day.
  • The API starts from a LinkedIn profile URL, so it enriches people you already found.
  • Search runs in the LinkedIn extension, not through a public search endpoint.
  • No UK count we can verify.

Best for: UK reps, recruiters and founders who prospect profile by profile in LinkedIn.

Pricing: Free has 15 B2B email credits a month. Starter is GBP 51, EUR 59 or $65 a user a month, billed monthly. Business is GBP 85, EUR 99 or $99 (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).

4. Lead411: best for teams selling in the UK and Ireland

Lead411 is the one vendor here that names the UK in a first-party country list, and it names Ireland too. It covers 13 countries: the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand and Sweden (Lead411 FAQ, September 2026). It does not publish a UK record count.

It sells exports, not credits. A 7-day free trial gives 50 exports with no card. API access starts on Ignite, and the MCP server is for approved accounts that Lead411 Support enables (Lead411 API docs, September 2026). Lead411 publishes no rate limit number.

The UK test: start the trial, filter advanced search to the United Kingdom, read the match count, then spend the 50 exports on a spread of titles and check email status.

Pros

  • The UK and Ireland are named in a first-party country list.
  • Verified emails and advanced search from $49 a month.
  • Intent data licensed from Bombora.
  • A trial with no card.

Cons

  • API access is not on Spark. It starts on Ignite.
  • No published rate limit or UK count.
  • Unlimited exports and the top plan are quote only.

Best for: sales teams that work the UK, Ireland and the US in an app.

Pricing: Spark is $49 a month, or $490 billed yearly, for 1,000 exports a month. Ignite starts at $150 a month ($1,500 billed yearly) (Lead411 pricing, September 2026).

5. Apollo: best for free UK search for small teams

apollo homepage

Apollo lets you test the UK for free. People API Search costs 0 credits, takes person_locations[] and organization_locations[], and accepts cities, states and countries (Apollo API docs, September 2026). The first is where the person lives. The second is where the employer is headquartered.

Apollo claims 240M+ contacts and 30M+ accounts, with no UK split (Apollo, September 2026). Search hides emails and phones. Enrichment spends credits: 1 for an email and 8 more if a mobile comes back (Apollo API pricing, September 2026).

Apollo runs an official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp on every plan, including Free (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).

The UK test: call the search with person_locations[]=united kingdom and per_page=1, then read the total. Repeat with organization_locations[]=united kingdom and compare. It costs 0 credits.

Pros

  • Free search with country and city filters, by API and in the app.
  • API access on every plan, per the developer FAQ.
  • Official MCP server on every plan.
  • A free plan to try enrichment on a few UK contacts.

Cons

  • Credits are per seat and expire at the end of each billing cycle.
  • A mobile costs 8 credits against 1 for an email.
  • A search shows 50,000 records at most, so a big UK pull needs slicing by city or title.
  • No published UK coverage figure.

Best for: small teams that want to see UK contacts before they pay.

Pricing: Free has 75 credits a month. Basic is $65 a seat a month, or $49 billed yearly. Professional is $99 ($79 yearly) (Apollo pricing, September 2026). At 1M email lookups the cheapest monthly route is 250 Professional seats, $24,750 a month. The yearly route is 400 Basic seats, $19,600 a month.

ZoomInfo's self-serve product is GTM AI. Search, lookup and find-similar cost nothing. One data credit enriches or exports one company, contact or intent record (GTM AI credit docs, September 2026). A record is charged once per 12 months.

Contact search has continent and country filters on the company's primary address. A locationSearchType switch picks the person, the headquarters or both (GTM AI search docs, September 2026). Free signup gives 1,000 data credits and no card. The default rate is 5 requests a second on Builder, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling (GTM AI rate limits, September 2026).

The official MCP server needs a free GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription with data credits (GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026).

The UK test: sign up free, run a contact search with country set to the United Kingdom, and read totalResults. Search is free. Repeat with locationSearchType set to Person and then HQ, and compare. Then reveal 20 contacts and check how many carry an email or phone.

Pros

  • Free search, so you can size the UK with no credit spent.
  • Pay as you go from $20, with no contract or seat fee.
  • Country and a person-or-HQ switch in one search.
  • Official MCP server, plus API and CLI.

Cons

  • The public slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000. Above that is Enterprise.
  • Rate limits start low, at 5 requests a second.
  • Platform plans are separate from GTM AI and quoted by sales (ZoomInfo, July 2026).
  • The location filter reads the company address, so check how it treats remote staff.

Best for: teams that want free search and credits they buy in packs.

Pricing: Free has 1,000 data credits. Pay as you go runs from $0.45 a credit at 100 credits to $0.25 at 100,000 for $25,000 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).

7. Lusha: best for single lookups in a browser extension

lusha homepage

Lusha claims 515M+ contacts and 29M+ companies, 132M of them in the United States (Lusha, October 2026). Its data page lists 23.3M+ contacts in the United Kingdom (Lusha data page, October 2026). That is a contact count, with no split by email or phone.

Searching and filtering cost 0 credits in the platform. Credits are spent when you reveal a contact (Lusha credit docs, September 2026). A work email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 5. Email plus phone is 7 credits in one API request (Lusha API guide, September 2026).

The MCP server has 50 tools and shares the REST credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).

The UK test: on the free plan, filter the prospecting search to the United Kingdom and read the result total. It costs nothing. Then reveal a handful of contacts with the 40 free credits.

Pros

  • A published UK figure, 23.3M+ contacts.
  • Free filtering in the platform.
  • API key on every plan, including Free.
  • MCP server with 50 tools.
  • Email plus phone in one API request.

Cons

  • Per-key API quotas are small. Pro is 50 requests a minute.
  • Phones cost 5 credits, and yearly credits reset at the end of the cycle.
  • The public tiers stop at 10,000 credits a month.
  • The UK figure counts contacts, not emails or phones.

Best for: reps who look up one contact at a time.

Pricing: Free is 40 credits a month. Starter is $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly). Pro is $69.90 ($52.45 yearly). Premium is $399.90 ($299.95 yearly) (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

How to choose

  • Exact UK counts, API, agent or volume: LeadOcean. Free counts, flat price, REST and MCP.
  • Cold-calling UK buyers on a negotiated contract: Cognism. Ask which Do Not Call lists it screens.
  • LinkedIn workflow billed in pounds: Kaspr, after you test a sample of your own profiles.
  • A named UK and Ireland country list: Lead411.
  • A free UK search in an app: Apollo, then ZoomInfo or Lusha.
  • Credits you buy in packs with free search: ZoomInfo.
  • One-at-a-time lookups: Lusha.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for anyone who pulls UK records by API, agent or export. It is the only one here with free exact mailable UK counts (4,238,467 people on 1 October 2026) and a flat $497 price on Agency. It does not win on phone-led calling or on a LinkedIn workflow: Cognism is built around European phone data, and Kaspr works inside LinkedIn. Lead411 fits teams that want the UK and Ireland on a named list. Apollo is the best free place to test the UK in an app, ZoomInfo suits buyers who want free search and pay-as-you-go credits, and Lusha fits single lookups. Whatever you pick, run its UK test first and start on the free plan to compare the same filter.

Does a global record count say anything about the UK?
