A B2B data provider sells people and company records, such as titles, work emails and phone numbers, that you search or enrich by API. Developers and agent builders need one when lists are too big for a UI and the bill has to be predictable. Four things separate them: price model (flat, credits or seats), rate limit, whether an MCP server returns records, and what 1M records a month costs.
This page ranks seven providers on those points, with list prices checked in September 2026. LeadOcean is first for readers who pull data in code, with an agent or at volume. Each rival has its own comparison: BlitzAPI, Apollo, Prospeo, FullEnrich, Crustdata and People Data Labs. For wider lists, read best B2B databases, best B2B data providers and best B2B data providers in the UK.
TL;DR

| Prospeo | Pay-as-you-go emails and mobiles | Starter $49 per user a month ($37 billed yearly) | $14,456 a month at list on monthly billing |
| FullEnrich | Waterfall emails and mobiles | Pro $29 a month for 500 credits ($26 billed yearly) | No public 1M price. Top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month |

What we evaluated
- API access: which endpoints return people and companies, and whether the free plan includes them.
- Rate limit: the default per second or minute, and what raises it.
- MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich, or only read docs.
- Price model and seats: flat, credits, seats or quote, and the cost of 1M records.
- Data: stated coverage and the email and phone fields you get back.
We ran no accuracy test, so we quote no quality numbers.
1. LeadOcean: best for developers who pull data in code or with an agent
LeadOcean is a people and company data API with a hosted MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 67M companies. You filter with 50 people and 34 company filters.
Enrichment is POST /v1/people/enrich, search is POST /v1/people/search, phones are GET /v2/people/phone, and POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows a request. A sizing call is free: send count=true as a query parameter with limit 1.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"title": ["CTO"], "country": ["CA"], "limit": 1}'Paid plans are flat: Solo $97, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 a month. Agency paces at 1M enrichments a day and 25M search records a month, runs 200 requests a second per account and gives 5 keys. There are no credits and no overage invoice. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools, and Free gets the same API and MCP server as the paid plans.
Person enrich also returns career history: past roles with dates, education and certifications, when held.
Pros
- Flat $497 a month on Agency, with no credit meter and no seats to count.
- REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
- 200 requests a second per account on Agency, so 1M calls take about 1.4 hours at full rate.
- Free counts, and a miss on
POST /v1/people/enrichis a free 404.
Cons
- No waterfall, sequencer, dialer or CRM. The app has an Exports page, not a rep workspace.
- v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, including a call that finds nothing.
- No refund for bounced emails. Read
email_statusbefore you send. - Bulk CSV export is not on Free, and Agency files stop at 50,000 rows each.
Best for: engineers and agent builders who need volume and a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card, 5 requests a second. Solo is $97, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 a month. Past the fair-use pace a key is slowed to one request a minute until the window resets, not cut off (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. BlitzAPI: best for a second flat-price API
BlitzAPI sells people, company, email and phone data on flat monthly plans. It lists 550M+ profiles, 65M+ companies, 65M+ verified work emails and 45M+ US phone numbers (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
A result is one company, person, email or phone number returned, and a call that finds nothing counts nothing. Find People returns 50 results a page and stops at 50,000 results per query. Only Build Your Infra carries an SLA (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026).
Start is $99 a month at 10 requests per second per endpoint and 200,000 records. Scale is $499 at 25 requests per second and 5,000,000 records. Build Your Infra is custom, from $999 (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026). Its hosted MCP server at https://api.blitz-api.ai/mcp returns data through 20 tools (BlitzAPI MCP, October 2026).
Pros
- Flat monthly price, and Scale's 5,000,000 records a month sits far above 1M.
- Misses are not billed.
- 1,000 free records on signup, no card.
Cons
- Phones cover the US only.
- No bulk or CSV export is documented (BlitzAPI docs index, September 2026).
- Above 5,000,000 records a month there is no public price.
Best for: teams that run their own code and want a second flat-price API.
Pricing: Start $99 a month for 200,000 records, Scale $499 for 5,000,000, and Build Your Infra from $999, billed monthly. Every plan has the same data; they differ by speed, fair use and support (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026).
3. Apollo: best for teams that want seats and a UI

Apollo is a sales platform with an API on every plan, including Free (Apollo developer FAQ, September 2026). It sells credits per seat, and the team pools them.
An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8. People enrichment by API costs 1 to 9 credits, and organization enrichment costs 1 (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, including purchased add-ons.
Paid plans allow 1,000 enrichment calls a minute with no hourly or daily cap. Search allows 200 a minute and 50,000 a day, and bulk people enrichment takes 10 people per request (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). Apollo runs an official MCP server on any plan, and enrichment through it spends the same credits (Apollo docs, September 2026).
Pros
- API and MCP on every plan, including Free.
- 1,000 enrichment calls a minute on paid plans.
- A full sales UI next to the API.
Cons
- Credits are per seat. 1M work-email lookups is 1,000,000 credits, which is 250 Professional seats.
- Credits do not roll over.
- Apollo prints no price for extra credits, so you cannot price an add-on path.
Best for: teams that want a UI for reps and an API for the same data.
Pricing: per seat a month, billed monthly: Free $0 for 75 credits, Basic $65 for 2,500, Professional $99 for 4,000, Organization $149 for 6,000 with a 3-seat minimum. Billed yearly: Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 (Apollo pricing, September 2026). At 1M lookups, 250 Professional seats cost $24,750 a month, or $19,600 with 400 Basic seats billed yearly.
4. Prospeo: best for pay-as-you-go emails and mobiles
Prospeo sells verified emails and mobiles on per-user plans with a shared team credit pool. A verified email costs 1 credit, a mobile costs 10 (email included), and a company costs 1. A call that finds nothing is free (Prospeo credits, September 2026).
Enrich API limits rise from 5 requests per second on Starter and Growth to 30 on Pro. Search is slower, at 1 per second on Starter and 5 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The hosted MCP server at https://mcp.prospeo.io has 8 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).
Add-on credits are a recurring subscription on a paid plan. The public slider stops at 350,000 credits a month (Prospeo add-ons, September 2026).
Pros
- Misses and repeat enrichments within 90 days cost nothing.
- Add-on credits fall to $0.01 each at the top of the slider.
- Hosted MCP with an API-key option for headless clients.
Cons
- Unused credits expire at the end of each cycle.
- Search is capped at 1 request per second on Starter.
- 1M a month needs seats plus the largest add-on.
Best for: teams under about 350,000 lookups a month that want pay-as-you-go pricing and a hosted MCP server.
Pricing: per user a month, billed monthly: Free $0 for 100 credits, Starter $49 for 2,000, Growth $99 for 5,000, Pro $249 for 15,000. Billed yearly: Starter $37, Growth $74, Pro $187 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). At 1M lookups, the cheapest public path on monthly billing is $14,456 a month: 44 Pro seats plus the 350,000-credit add-on. Billed yearly, 3 Pro seats plus the 500,000-credit yearly add-on cost $11,223 once, for 1,040,000 credits delivered upfront.
5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles
FullEnrich queries 25+ sources per contact, and you pay only for data it finds. Its pricing page lists search across 800M people and 50M companies (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not-found results cost 0 (FullEnrich credits, September 2026). The API allows 60 calls a minute across enrich, reverse email and search, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).
API, MCP, search and bulk CSV are on every plan, and users are unlimited (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export (FullEnrich help, September 2026).
Pros
- Waterfall across 25+ sources in one call.
- Unlimited users and API access on every plan.

Best for: developers who want waterfall emails and mobiles through an API or an agent.
Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, or $26 a month billed yearly. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500, and above it the page says contact sales (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).
6. Crustdata: best for live data and change watchers

Crustdata sells real-time company and people data through APIs for search, enrichment, jobs and change watchers. Its pricing page lists no plans, no dollar prices and no price per credit (Crustdata pricing, September 2026).
The docs give credits per call, and the dollar value depends on your plan. Search is 0.03 credits per result. Person enrich is 1 to 7 credits, and a work email through /person/enrich is 2 (Crustdata docs, September 2026). The 1-credit contact endpoint needs an enterprise plan, and self-serve keys get a 403 (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
Defaults are 15 requests a minute on enrich and 30 on search (Crustdata docs, September 2026). The hosted MCP server takes OAuth for interactive clients and an API key as a bearer token for code (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Change watchers for people and companies.
- Hosted MCP with an API-key option for code.
- Batch person enrich takes up to 10,000 identifiers a job.
Cons
- No public price per credit, so you cannot price 1M from the site.
- Low default rate limits.
- The 1-credit work-email endpoint is enterprise only.
Best for: AI SDR and signal workflows that need fresh data more than raw volume.
Pricing: Credit based, with no public price list (Crustdata pricing, September 2026). 1M work-email lookups is 2,000,000 credits on /person/enrich, and the dollar cost is your quoted price per credit.
7. People Data Labs: best for licensed datasets

People Data Labs (PDL) is a long-running person and company data API with bulk dataset licences. Its person dataset holds 2.47B profiles, 592M with an email and 470M with a mobile number (PDL datasets, September 2026). That is larger than LeadOcean's 693M people.
One credit is used per successful match, and a 404 is not billed. Bulk enrichment takes up to 100 persons per request (PDL docs, September 2026). Paid plans allow 1,000 enrichment calls a minute, while person search defaults to 10 a minute (PDL docs, September 2026).
Self-serve is meant for volumes below roughly 100,000 person profiles. Above that, PDL sends buyers to Enterprise and sales. PDL's docs index lists no official MCP server (PDL docs, September 2026).
Pros
- The largest person dataset on this list, with dataset licences for your own warehouse.
- 1,000 enrichment calls a minute on paid plans.
- Misses are not billed.
Cons
- $0.28 a credit at the entry rate.
- No official MCP server.
- Person search defaults to 10 requests a minute.
Best for: teams that license data or need a warehouse copy.
Pricing: Free is up to 100 credits a month with contact data obscured. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, or $940 a year billed yearly. PDL says Pro profiles cost about $0.20 to $0.28 each, and there is no public price at 1M (PDL pricing, September 2026).
