A B2B database for Central America and the Caribbean sells business contacts and company records located there. That means Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and their neighbours. Sales teams, agencies and data engineers who sell into the region need one. Most global vendors print one worldwide total and say nothing about these markets.
Buyers leave their first tool for three reasons. Credit plans run out fast at list-building volume. Phone numbers cost five to eight credits each on Lusha and Apollo. And almost nobody shows how many people they hold in Panama or Santo Domingo before you pay.
This page ranks seven databases, with prices checked in September 2026 and our own free counts run on 2026-10-21. Read the rival pages first if you already use one: Apollo, Lusha, ZoomInfo, Cognism, Seamless.AI and UpLead. Related: best B2B databases for Latin America, best email databases for North America, best phone number databases for North America and the hub of best B2B data providers.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | API, agent and volume buyers who want a free regional count | Free (1,000 records for life). Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 | $497 a month on Agency. Fair-use pace applies |
| Lusha | Small batches with a Chrome extension and an API | Free (40 credits a month). Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly) | No public 1M price. Top public tier is $977.40 a month for 10,000 credits |
| Apollo | Reps who also need sequences and a dialer | Free (75 credits a month). Basic $65 per seat a month ($49 billed yearly) | $24,750 a month on monthly billing ($19,600 a month equivalent billed yearly) |
| ZoomInfo (GTM AI) | Pay-as-you-go credits with an official MCP server | From $20. Free 1,000 data credits | No public 1M price. Public slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000 |
| Cognism | Teams that buy by quote and want an official MCP server | No public price. Standard and Pro are quote only | No public 1M price |
| Seamless.AI | Teams that accept a sales call and an annual contract | No public price. Free licence has 50 credits | No public 1M price |
| UpLead | Small lists with a refund on bad emails | Essentials $99 a month ($74 billed yearly) | No public 1M price. Extra credits are $0.50 each, capped at $2,000 a day |
"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price. A rate is never multiplied out to 1M when the vendor publishes no price at that size.
What we evaluated
- Regional coverage you can check: a count for Panama, Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic and their neighbours, or a free way to get one.
- Email and phone depth: whether a figure counts people with a usable email, or only profiles.
- API and MCP: whether a script or an agent can pull records directly, and at what rate.
- Price at volume: flat, credits, seats or quote, and the cost of 1M records.
- Language fit: whether you can filter by city and by Spanish titles such as Gerente General or Director Comercial.
We ran counts on LeadOcean only. We ran no query on the rivals, so we print no hit rates for them. Vendor figures are vendor claims, and each vendor counts a "contact" its own way.
Our free regional count
We ran count_leads on 2026-10-21, which spends no records. The country filter holds where the person is, not where the employer is headquartered.
| Region | People (any email status) | Mailable people | Distinct employers (mailable) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Central America (PA, CR, GT, HN, SV, NI, BZ) | 3,024,138 | 225,329 | 26,648 |
| Caribbean (DO, JM, TT, BS, BB, HT, CU, PR) | 2,256,504 | 163,873 | 23,259 |
Mailable means a verified, catch-all valid or catch-all email, the tool default. Panama returns 542,751 people and 39,462 mailable. Costa Rica returns 893,140 and 94,986. The Dominican Republic returns 735,330 and 43,129.
Mailable people are about 7% of Central America and about 7% of the Caribbean. Across both regions, 153,988 people hold a phone number (a count filtered on hasPhone, with no email condition, so it is not a mailable count). The region is thin on contacts, and a free count tells you that before you spend anything.
1. LeadOcean: best for API and agent buyers
LeadOcean holds 693M people and 67M companies. The counts above are real queries on that dataset. A mailable Costa Rica audience of 94,986 is large enough to run a campaign. Honduras, Nicaragua and Belize are small, so size them before you plan.
You size a country for free, then pull it by REST or MCP. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp has 13 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.1. The free leadocean_count_companies tool sizes the employers behind a list.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true&limit=1" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"country": ["PA", "CR", "GT", "DO"], "jobLevel": ["C-Team"], "emailStatus": ["verified", "catch_all_valid", "catch_all"]}'That call returns meta.total and writes nothing against your 1,000 records. Spanish titles work as keywords, so try Gerente General next to General Manager.
Pros
- A free, exact count by country, city, seniority, industry and email status.
- Agency is $497 a month flat with 200 requests a second, 5 keys and no credit meter.
- REST and MCP on every plan, Free included.
- The dataset is refreshed monthly, and each record carries a
fetched_atdate.
Cons
- Mailable contacts are a small share of the region, and phones are thinner still.
- No rep workspace, sequencer, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension.
- Free is 1,000 records for life with no bulk CSV export. A large pull needs Solo or Agency.
- v2 contact lookups cost a record even on a miss.
Best for: engineers, agencies and agents that need a fixed bill and a regional count before they commit.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records for life, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. Lusha: best for small batches and a Chrome extension

Lusha is a contact tool for reps first and an API second. Its data page claims 515M+ contacts worldwide, plus 29M+ companies, but shows no country split (Lusha data page, October 2026). We quote no Lusha figure for the region.
An email costs 1 credit and a phone 5. A request can reach 7 credits through the API (Lusha API docs, September 2026). That makes phone-heavy regional lists expensive. The MCP server has 50 tools and shares the REST credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).
Regional test. Lusha Free gives 40 credits a month. Look up 25 contacts you really sell to in Panama and Costa Rica, and count how many return a work email.
Pros
- A Chrome extension and a rep workspace next to the API.
- An API key on every plan, Free included.
- A 50-tool MCP server.
Cons
- Premium tops out at 10,000 credits a month, so volume work needs Scale.
- No public 1M price.
- Phones cost 5 credits each.
Best for: reps who look up a few hundred contacts a month and want the data inside the browser.
Pricing: Free $0 for 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly). Pro $69.90 ($52.45). Premium $399.90 ($299.95) (Lusha pricing, September 2026).
3. Apollo: best for reps who need sequences and a dialer

Apollo is a prospecting app with a database attached. It has a country search and an API on every plan, and it prints no Central America or Caribbean count that we found. You size the region yourself, in the app.
An email costs 1 credit and a phone 8 (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Credits are per seat and expire each cycle. The official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp works on any plan and spends the same credits (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
Regional test. Apollo Free gives 75 credits a month. Search each country, read the total, then spend credits on your own 25 contacts.
Pros
- Sequences, a dialer and a CRM-style workspace in one seat.
- API and MCP on every plan, Free included.
- Enrichment limits of 1,000 a minute on paid plans (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).
Cons
- Credits are per seat, so 1M email lookups is 250 Professional seats on monthly billing.
- A phone costs 8 credits.
- Credits do not roll over.
Best for: sales teams that want one tool for data, outreach and calling.
Pricing: Free $0 with 75 credits. Basic $65 per seat a month ($49 billed yearly). Professional $99 ($79). Organization $149 ($119) (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
4. ZoomInfo (GTM AI): best for pay-as-you-go credits
ZoomInfo sells data credits pay as you go through GTM AI, from $20, with no contract and no seat fee. A credit costs $0.45 at 100 credits and $0.25 at 100,000. Search and lookup are free, and a record is charged once per 12 months (GTM AI pricing, September 2026; GTM AI docs, September 2026).
The official MCP server needs a free GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription (ZoomInfo MCP docs, September 2026). We found no Central America or Caribbean count on the pages we read. Because search is free, you can size the region before you buy a credit.
Regional test. The free plan gives 1,000 data credits and 5 requests a second. Search first, since search costs nothing, then enrich 25 contacts.
Pros
- Free search and lookup, with a credit spent only on enrich or export.
- No contract on the pay-as-you-go product.
- MCP, API and CLI on the free plan.
Cons
- The public slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000. Larger volume is an Enterprise quote.
- Batch enrichment takes 25 records per call.
- ZoomInfo platform plan prices are behind a human check, so we could not read them.
Best for: teams that want to try a large vendor without a sales call.
Pricing: from $20, with the lowest published rate at $0.25 a credit for 100,000 credits (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
5. Cognism: best for quote-led teams with an official MCP server

Cognism publishes no dollar price. Its pricing page lists Standard and Pro, both quote only, and says pricing depends on product, team setup and usage (Cognism pricing, September 2026). One credit is one revealed contact.
The API allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation (Cognism rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server has 15 tools and uses the same credits as the API (Cognism MCP docs, September 2026). We found no Central America or Caribbean count in the sources we hold.
Pros
- Search and count routes, with a count call for sizing.
- An official MCP server with OAuth 2.0.
- Company searches never use credits.
Cons
- No public price at any size.
- API and MCP access need a package that includes it.
- Cognism's docs disagree on whether a count call costs a search token (Cognism credits docs, September 2026).
Best for: teams that buy through sales and want a vendor that already runs an MCP server.
Pricing: quote only (Cognism pricing, September 2026).
6. Seamless.AI: best for teams that accept an annual contract

Seamless.AI publishes no dollar price. Its pricing page is an inquiry form, and the API page says keys are bundled with plan tiers or sold as an add-on (Seamless.AI pricing, September 2026). The Free licence holds 50 credits with no refill, and a Pro licence carries 10,000 credits a month.
One credit covers a contact's email and phone together, which helps phone-heavy lists. Search costs 1 credit per 10 results. The default API rate is 60 requests a minute per endpoint, shared by the organisation (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). The MCP server has 57 tools (Seamless.AI MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Email and phone on one credit.
- A hosted MCP server with 57 tools.
- A search page returns up to 500 contacts.
Cons
- Annual contracts, with 60 days' notice to cancel and sales final.
- No public price, so 1M records cannot be costed.
- Research is asynchronous, and completion time is not documented.
Best for: teams that want email and phone on one credit and will sign an annual contract.
Pricing: no public dollar price (Seamless.AI pricing, September 2026).
7. UpLead: best for small lists with a bounce refund
UpLead claims 200M+ contacts with email and 19M+ company profiles, and a 95% accuracy guarantee with refunds on bounces. A credit is charged only if the email is Valid or Accept All (UpLead pricing, September 2026). These are vendor claims, and we ran no test.
Full API access sits on the custom Professional plan, not on Essentials or Plus (UpLead API docs, September 2026). The API allows 500 requests a minute. UpLead's homepage and API docs mention no MCP server.
Pros
- A credit is spent only on a valid or accept-all email.
- Clear public prices for Essentials and Plus.
- Bounces are refunded.
Cons
- No API on the two public plans.
- No MCP server.
- Extra credits are capped at $2,000 of purchases a day (UpLead help center, September 2026).
Best for: small teams that build lists by hand and want a refund on bounces.
Pricing: Essentials $99 a month ($74 billed yearly) for 170 credits. Plus $199 ($149) for 400 credits. Professional is a custom quote (UpLead pricing, September 2026).

How to choose
- You pull data through an API or an agent: LeadOcean. A flat $497 a month and a free regional count beat any credit meter at volume.
- You are a rep who needs outreach tools: Apollo, and accept the per-seat credits.
- You want contacts in the browser: Lusha, in small batches.
- You want to try a large vendor with no contract: ZoomInfo GTM AI, since search is free.
- You buy through sales and want an MCP server: Cognism.
- You want email and phone on one credit: Seamless.AI, if an annual contract is fine.
- You build small lists and want a bounce refund: UpLead.
Verdict
LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers, because it gives you a free regional count and a flat price at 1M records. Apollo wins for reps who also need sequences and a dialer. Lusha wins for browser-first lookups in small batches. ZoomInfo's GTM AI wins for a no-contract trial of a large vendor. Cognism, Seamless.AI and UpLead fit teams that buy through sales or build short lists.
Whatever you pick, run 25 contacts you really sell to in Panama, Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic through the free tier first. A regional total tells you little. Your hit rate tells you everything.
FAQ
Which countries count as Central America and the Caribbean?
Central America is Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Belize. The Caribbean is the island markets such as the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad and Tobago, the Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, Cuba and Puerto Rico. Our counts use those ISO country codes.
How many B2B contacts exist in Panama and Costa Rica?
On 2026-10-21, LeadOcean returns 542,751 people in Panama and 893,140 in Costa Rica. Of those, 39,462 and 94,986 have a verified, catch-all valid or catch-all email. Other vendors count a contact differently, so compare mailable counts, not totals.
Is the data in English or Spanish?
Job titles come as the person wrote them, so many are Spanish. Search with both, such as Gerente General and General Manager, because a title filter that only knows English can hide real matches.
What does 1M records a month cost?
On LeadOcean Agency it is $497 a month, with a fair-use pace and no per-record price. On Apollo it is $24,750 a month at list price on monthly billing. For Lusha, ZoomInfo, Cognism, Seamless.AI and UpLead there is no public 1M price, so we print none.
Can I test a database before I pay?
Yes. LeadOcean Free gives 1,000 records for life and unlimited free counts. Lusha Free gives 40 credits a month, Apollo Free 75 and ZoomInfo's GTM AI 1,000 data credits. UpLead offers a 7-day Test Drive with 5 credits.
Do these tools work with ChatGPT or Claude?
Six of the seven run an MCP server you can connect to Claude or ChatGPT. UpLead is the exception, since we found no MCP server in its docs. LeadOcean signs in with OAuth 2.1, so no key is pasted.
