A B2B database for South Asia is a searchable set of business contacts in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, deep enough to build a list or feed an API. Sales teams, agencies and data engineers who sell into the subcontinent need one. Most vendors print a worldwide total and say nothing about the region.
Only People Data Labs and ZoomInfo print a count for each of the three countries. The rest hide it. So this page ranks on coverage and gives you the numbers we could get. We ran free counts on LeadOcean on 2026-10-21, and you can rerun them on the free plan.
Read each rival on its own page: Apollo, Lusha, ZoomInfo, People Data Labs and RocketReach.

What we evaluated
- South Asia coverage: a figure for India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, or a way to get one.
- Mailable depth: whether a count means people with a usable email or only profiles.
- Free coverage test: whether you can size the region before you pay.
- API and MCP: whether a script or an agent can pull the records directly.
- Price at volume: flat, credits, seats or quote, and the cost of 1M records.
We ran counts on LeadOcean only. We ran no query on the rivals, so we print no hit rates for them. Vendor figures are vendor claims, and each vendor counts a "contact" its own way.
How to run the coverage test
Take 25 people you sell to in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi, Karachi, Lahore and Dhaka. Use your own list. Run them through each free tier below and count how many return a work email. Then count phones.
Free tiers are enough: Lusha gives 40 credits a month, Apollo 75, ZoomInfo GTM AI 1,000 data credits and LeadOcean 1,000 records for life. PDL gives 100 credits a month but hides the contact data, so it only tests profile matches.
1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers
LeadOcean holds 693M people and 67M companies. It has a country filter with 254 codes and a free count_leads tool. We ran it on 2026-10-21, which spends no records. The default count is mailable: people whose best email is verified, catch-all valid or catch-all. The second column drops that filter.
| Country | People, any email status | Mailable |
|---|---|---|
| India | 52,286,692 | 7,172,487 |
| Pakistan | 4,213,043 | 324,603 |
| Bangladesh | 1,907,215 | 105,356 |
India is deep: 7,172,487 mailable people across about 355,676 employers (an estimate). Pakistan and Bangladesh are thin, at 324,603 and 105,356 mailable people. Mailable is about 14% of Indian profiles, 8% of Pakistani and 6% of Bangladeshi. Do not read the first column as a send list. 4,516,208 people across the three countries have a phone number, counted with hasPhone and no email filter.
The REST call below sizes an audience for free, with count=true as a query parameter.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true&limit=1" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"country": ["IN"], "jobLevel": ["C-Team"], "hasEmail": true}'That count is people with an email of any status, not a mailable count. Add emailStatus to narrow it. Over REST, meta.total stops at 100,000, so use narrow filters or the MCP leadocean_count_leads tool for exact totals. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp has 13 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.1. One search pages to 10,000 rows, so split a big India pull by city, industry or seniority.
Pros
- A free, exact count for each country, with email status and phone filters.
- Agency is $497 a month flat, with 200 requests a second, 5 keys and no credit meter.
- REST and MCP on every plan, Free included.
- Search by country, city, title, seniority and industry in one call.
Cons
- Pakistan and Bangladesh are thin: 324,603 and 105,356 mailable people.
- PDL prints a larger profile count for India (86,798,337 against 52,286,692).
- No rep workspace, sequencer, dialer or CRM.
- Free is 1,000 records for life, and a v2 contact lookup costs a record even on a miss.
Best for: engineers, agencies and agents that sell into India at volume and want a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records for life, no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
2. People Data Labs: best for the largest published country counts

PDL prints the largest count for each South Asian country. Its location aggregations list India at 86,798,337 profiles, Pakistan at 8,190,282 and Bangladesh at 3,877,612 (PDL docs, October 2026). Its company table lists 3,810,196 companies in India, 196,718 in Pakistan and 126,926 in Bangladesh (PDL company docs, October 2026).
Those are profiles, not mailable people, and PDL does not split them by email. They are larger than LeadOcean's any-status counts in all three countries. Read them as an upper bound on reach, not a list size.
Coverage test. PDL Free gives up to 100 credits a month, with emails, phones and addresses obscured (PDL pricing, September 2026). You can test whether your 25 people exist, but not whether their email works. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits (PDL pricing, September 2026).
Pros
- Country counts printed for all three markets, plus company counts.
- Enrichment runs at 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans (PDL docs, September 2026).
- Unbilled misses: a 404 costs nothing.
Cons
- No official MCP server. Only community ones exist (PDL llms.txt, September 2026).
- Person search defaults to 10 requests a minute.
- Self-serve stops near 100,000 profiles, and 1M has no public price.
- The free tier hides contact data.
Best for: data teams that load profiles into a warehouse and judge the region by size.
Pricing: Free $0 for 100 credits a month. Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits, $0.28 a credit (PDL pricing, September 2026).
3. Apollo: best for reps who want a database plus sequences

Apollo is a database and a sales workspace in one seat. Its public pages print no India, Pakistan or Bangladesh count. You find out by filtering by location inside the free app and reading the result.
Every plan includes API access. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8 (Apollo API pricing, September 2026). Credits pool across the team and expire at the end of each cycle. Apollo runs an official MCP server at mcp.apollo.io/mcp on any plan, Free included (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
For South Asia the catch is phones. A mobile costs 8 credits, so a phone pull costs eight times an email pull. Add-on credits have no published price.
Pros
- Database, sequencer and dialer in one product.
- Official MCP server on every plan.
- Enrichment allows 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).
Cons
- No published country counts.
- Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle and do not roll over.
- Phones cost 8 credits each.
- 1M records means hundreds of seats.
Best for: sales reps who want to find, sequence and call from one screen.
Pricing: Free $0 for 75 credits a month. Basic $65 per seat a month, $49 billed yearly, with Professional at $99 ($79) and Organization at $149 ($119) (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
4. Lusha: best for small batches with email and phone

Lusha sells email and phone in one lookup, which suits a rep working a short list. Its data page prints worldwide totals only, with no India, Pakistan or Bangladesh figure (Lusha data page, October 2026).
An email costs 1 credit and a phone 5. Email plus phone is 7 credits through a single API request (Lusha API guide, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.lusha.com has 50 tools and shares the API credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).
Coverage test. Lusha Free gives 40 credits a month and an API key on every plan. Look up your 25 people, read the hit rate for email and phone, and stop there. Free and Starter keys allow 100 requests a day.
Pros
- Email, phone and company data in one lookup.
- An API key on every plan, Free included.
- Official MCP server.
Cons
- No country counts for South Asia.
- Free and Starter keys cap at 100 requests a day.
- Credits are small: Starter is 400 a month.
- 1M records has no public price.
Best for: reps who need a few hundred verified contacts with phones.
Pricing: Free $0 for 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly) for 400 credits. Pro $69.90 ($52.45) for 600 (Lusha pricing, September 2026).
5. ZoomInfo: best for a large Asia-wide database
ZoomInfo prints Asia as one row: 4.8M+ companies, 68.3M+ contacts and 12.9M+ mobile numbers (ZoomInfo data page, October 2026). Its country map lists India at 29.3M contacts and 5.7M mobile numbers, Pakistan at 2.4M and 267K, and Bangladesh at 1.2M and 119K (ZoomInfo data page, October 2026). Those are rounded vendor figures with no email split.
The GTM AI side sells data credits pay as you go from $20, from $0.45 each at 100 credits down to $0.25 at 100,000 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). A record is charged once per 12 months. Search is free. The official MCP server needs a GTM AI account or a ZoomInfo subscription with data credits (GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Free search and 1,000 free data credits at signup.
- A published Asia mobile count.
- Official MCP server.
Cons
- Rounded country figures only, with no email split.
- The public slider stops at 100,000 credits for $25,000.
- Builder API limits are 5 requests a second (GTM AI rate limits, September 2026).
- Enterprise pricing is quote only.
Best for: teams that already run ZoomInfo and want Asia in the same login.
Pricing: pay as you go from $20; Free gives 1,000 data credits (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
6. RocketReach: best for one-by-one lookups
RocketReach suits recruiters and sellers who look people up by name. We found no South Asia count on its public pages. Its pricing page showed a bot check on our read. So the plan prices here are as reported by G2: Essentials $69 a month, Pro $119 and Ultimate $209 on monthly billing (G2, September 2026). Confirm them on the RocketReach site before you buy.
A person search costs 1 credit per page of 100 results. A verified professional email costs 2 credits, a personal email 3 and a phone 6 (RocketReach credits docs, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.rocketreach.co/mcp has 9 tools (RocketReach MCP docs, September 2026).

How to choose
- You pull India at volume through an API or an agent: LeadOcean. Count first, for free, then pull.
- You need Pakistan or Bangladesh depth: run your 25 people through every free tier. LeadOcean is thin in both, and PDL's profile counts are larger.
- You load profiles into a warehouse: People Data Labs.
- You want to find, sequence and call in one tool: Apollo.
- You need a few hundred contacts with phones: Lusha.
- You already run ZoomInfo: ZoomInfo, which prints 5.7M India mobiles.
- You search by name for a short list: RocketReach.
Verdict
LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers in India. It gives a free, exact mailable count of 7,172,487 people and Agency at $497 a month flat. People Data Labs wins on published size, Apollo on sequences and reps, Lusha on small phone batches, ZoomInfo on an Asia-wide footprint and RocketReach on named lookups. For Pakistan and Bangladesh no one has proven depth, so test your own list on each free tier and pay for the one that finds the most.
