ContactOut vs FullEnrich

ContactOut vs FullEnrich (2026): Data, Pricing and API Compared

One is a LinkedIn contact finder with a quote-only API. The other is a credit-based waterfall enrichment API. Here is which buyer should pick which.

ContactOut is a LinkedIn email and phone finder with a browser extension, and its API is priced on request. FullEnrich is a waterfall enrichment tool that queries 25+ sources and bills credits for what it finds. ContactOut fits people who work in a browser. FullEnrich fits teams that call an API and want a price ladder they can read.

All prices and limits below were checked in September 2026, each with its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.

Verdict

  • Pick ContactOut if your team works from LinkedIn in a browser, you want personal emails, and you buy fewer than 2,000 emails a month. Email is $49 a month, or $39 a month billed yearly.
  • Pick FullEnrich if you call an API from code, want mobile numbers checked across many sources, and stay under 100,000 credits a month. Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, and a lookup that finds nothing is free.
  • Pick neither if you want volume through an API on one flat plan. ContactOut's API has no public price, and FullEnrich's public ladder stops at 100,000 credits. LeadOcean is one option.

Data and coverage

The counts are not like for like, so test both on your own list. ContactOut lists 800 million people profiles and 40M companies (ContactOut data, September 2026). FullEnrich lists 800M people and 50M companies for search (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

ContactOut disagrees with itself on size. Its homepage headline says 350M professionals, and its MCP page says 600M+ (ContactOut homepage, September 2026; ContactOut MCP, September 2026). Ask which number your plan reaches.

FullEnrich's figure needs a footnote too. The 1.6B you may see on its homepage is a customer quote about coverage, not a database size (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Email and phone differ in kind. ContactOut counts 200M work emails, 150M personal emails and 100M direct dials. It claims 99% confidence with no test method (ContactOut data, September 2026). FullEnrich counts nothing. It asks 25+ sources in sequence, so a miss at one is a chance at the next. It states about 80% find rate on work emails, and about 30% of raw data removed by verification (FullEnrich pricing.md, September 2026).

Both figures are vendor claims. Neither publishes a mobile find rate. The only fair test is 500 of your own contacts through both, counting the mobiles you can actually dial.

API and developer experience

ContactOut's API is synchronous and takes a LinkedIn URL. It charges 1 email credit if an email is found and 1 phone credit if a phone is found (ContactOut API docs, September 2026). Work emails checked in real time need email_type=work and can slow the response.

bash
curl "https://api.contactout.com/v1/people/linkedin?profile=https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe&include_phone=true" \
  --header "Content-Type: application/json" \
  --header "Accept: application/json" \
  --header "token: $CONTACTOUT_API_TOKEN"

FullEnrich is asynchronous. You start a bulk job of up to 100 contacts, name it, and pick the fields. Results arrive on a webhook, or you poll for them (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). Input is a LinkedIn URL, or a first name, last name and company.

bash
curl -X POST "https://app.fullenrich.com/api/v2/contact/enrich/bulk" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FULLENRICH_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name":"One contact","webhook_url":"https://example.com/webhook","data":[{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com","enrich_fields":["contact.work_emails","contact.phones"]}]}'

The bigger difference is access. You can open a FullEnrich account, take the free trial and send that request today. ContactOut asks you to book a meeting to get an API key, so you cannot test its API before a sales conversation (ContactOut API docs, September 2026).

Rate limits cut differently. ContactOut allows 1,000 requests a minute on most endpoints, but only 60 a minute on People Search. FullEnrich allows 60 calls a minute in total, with 100 contacts per request, so 6,000 contacts a minute on paper. Its default queue is 100 concurrent enrichments, and a call over the limit gets HTTP 429 until the next calendar minute (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).

For agents, both ship an MCP server. ContactOut's has 15 tools and 600+ free credits at onboarding. FullEnrich's signs in through the browser and previews the first 10 search results free, then charges 0.25 credits per contact exported (FullEnrich help, September 2026).

Pricing

ContactOut charges per account with a monthly credit ceiling. FullEnrich charges per credit, and a credit buys one action. To compare them, use work emails found, because both sell that.

At 10,000 records a month. FullEnrich takes 1 credit per work email, so 10,000 emails need up to 10,000 credits. That tier is $499 a month, or $0.050 a credit, and $454 a month billed yearly for 120,000 credits a year (FullEnrich pricing.md, September 2026). A lookup that finds nothing costs 0 credits, so a lower find rate uses fewer. Mobiles are 10 credits each, so 10,000 mobiles need 100,000 credits, the top tier, at $3,500 a month. Work email plus mobile for 10,000 contacts needs up to 110,000 credits, which is above the top monthly tier.

ContactOut has no public price at 10,000. Paid "unlimited" plans cap at 2,000 email credits and 1,000 phone credits per account per month (ContactOut terms, September 2026). So 10,000 / 2,000 is 5 accounts for emails, and 10,000 / 1,000 is 10 for phones. Every self-serve plan lists a one-user-per-company limit, so volume means the Team / API plan, priced on request (ContactOut pricing, September 2026).

At 1M records a month. FullEnrich has no public 1M price. 1M work emails need 1,000,000 credits. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month, which is 10% of the volume, and above it the page says contact sales (FullEnrich pricing.md, September 2026). The yearly toggle stops at 1,200,000 credits a year for $37,800, a yearly allowance and not one month.

ContactOut has no public 1M price either. 1,000,000 / 2,000 is 500 account-months of capacity, and the one-user limit blocks that route. The API docs state credit use but no dollar price per credit (ContactOut API docs, September 2026). We will not multiply a seat or credit rate out to a number nobody can buy. Get a quote from both.

Three details change a small bill. FullEnrich credits roll over 3 months on monthly plans and 12 on yearly ones. ContactOut shows $49 for Email against a struck-through $99, with no end date on the page. Its refund, renewal and expiry terms sit in a Subscription Agreement that is not public (ContactOut terms, September 2026).

Where ContactOut wins

  • Browser workflow. A Chrome extension, a search portal and a free tier of 5 emails a day, where recruiters and reps already work (ContactOut pricing, September 2026).
  • Personal emails and phones. 150M personal emails and 100M direct dials, with a regional plan for coverage outside the US. FullEnrich charges 3 credits for a personal email.
  • Cheap at small volume. Email at $49 a month covers up to 2,000 emails, with no credit math. Under that ceiling it costs less than FullEnrich's $55 tier for 1,000 credits.
  • MCP credits. 600+ free credits at onboarding is a bigger free allowance than FullEnrich's 50 trial credits.

Where FullEnrich wins

  • A readable API price. Every tier from 500 to 100,000 credits is on the pricing page, and the API is open on the free trial. ContactOut's is a meeting.
  • Pay only for hits. Not-found and landline results cost 0 credits, and each paid credit buys one found item (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).
  • Waterfall mobiles. 25+ sources give a second chance on a miss, which suits a short list where every mobile counts.
  • Unlimited users. ContactOut lists a one-user-per-company limit on self-serve plans, while FullEnrich allows unlimited users on every plan.

If you need volume through an API

Neither tool gives you a public price at 1M records. LeadOcean is a data API with a hosted MCP server: 693M people, 366M with an email, 166M with a phone number, and 63M companies. Free is 1,000 records one-off with no card, and Pro is $499 a month flat with no credits and no overage invoice.

Pro runs at 100 requests per second per key. POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, and count_leads over MCP is free. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, and one email to support raises the headroom.

At 10,000 work emails FullEnrich costs the same $499, so the flat fee only wins as volume grows. LeadOcean has no Chrome extension, rep workspace or dialer. See the pricing page for both plans.

FAQ

Is ContactOut or FullEnrich cheaper?

From about 1,000 to 2,000 emails a month, ContactOut Email at $49 a month is cheaper. At 750 or fewer, FullEnrich's $29 and $42.75 tiers cost less. From 10,000 emails, FullEnrich at $499 is the only public price of the two. Neither publishes a price at 1M.

Which has the bigger database?

On their own pages, ContactOut claims 800 million profiles and FullEnrich 800M people. ContactOut also quotes 350M and 600M+ elsewhere, and neither publishes a match rate. Run both on 500 of your own contacts.

Do ContactOut and FullEnrich have an API and an MCP server?

Both have both. ContactOut's API needs a booked meeting for a key, and its MCP server has 15 tools (ContactOut MCP, September 2026). FullEnrich's API and MCP are on every plan, including the free trial (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Which finds more mobile numbers?

Neither publishes a mobile find rate. ContactOut counts 100M direct dials, and FullEnrich queries 25+ sources at 10 credits per mobile found. Test both on the same 500 contacts and count the numbers that connect.

What does 1M records a month cost on each?

There is no public 1M price on either. FullEnrich's top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month, and ContactOut's self-serve plans cap at 2,000 emails per account. Both need a quote.

Can I try both before paying?

Yes, with limits. FullEnrich has a free trial of 50 credits with no card. ContactOut has a free tier of 5 emails, 5 phones and 5 exports a day, though its API key needs a meeting.
