Audience Sizer is a Claude skill that answers "how big is this market?" before you spend a record. You describe an ICP in plain words. It returns the count of people who match, with phone coverage and a breakdown.
What it does
You give Claude two or more criteria: job level, job function, industry, country, company size, funding stage or a technology. The skill turns them into exact LeadOcean filter values and counts the matches.
The reply has three numbers: mailable people, people with a phone on file, and everyone who matches. Under them sit the top countries, industries, seniority bands and company sizes.
It counts people, not companies. If you need a company count, run the same filters in the Exports page of the app at app.leadocean.io, which shows the price before you start.
It also works as a TAM calculator for outbound. The number it gives is the pool you can email today, not a dollar figure.
How it works
The skill is a SKILL.md file. It tells Claude which tools to call and in what order.
list_enum_valuesfinds the exact string for any filter value Claude is unsure of, such asSoftware Developmentor201-500. Free.list_filterschecks a filter name. Free.count_leadscounts mailable people (verified, catch_all_valid, catch_all) with facets on. Free.count_leadswithhasPhone: truecounts people with a phone on file. Free.count_leadswith all 13 email statuses counts everyone who matches. Free.- Steps 2 to 4 repeat for each extra scenario, for example the same ICP in three countries. Free.
search_companieslists up to 5 sample companies, only if you ask for a spot check. 1 record per company.
How to use it
- Download the zip: Download audience-sizer.zip.
- Unzip it and add the
audience-sizerfolder as a skill in Claude. - Connect LeadOcean at
https://api.leadocean.io/mcpand sign in. - Ask: "Size VPs of Sales at US software companies with 51-500 employees that use HubSpot."
You need a LeadOcean account. The free plan gives you 1,000 records, one-off, no card. The default run spends none of them.
Sample output
We ran the free tools on 1 October 2026. The ICP was C-Team and VP, Sales & Business Development, at US companies with 51-200 or 201-500 employees that use HubSpot.
| Measure | People |
|---|---|
| Mailable (verified, catch_all_valid, catch_all) | 15,249 |
| With a phone on file | 33,232 |
| All matching people | 48,999 |
| Records spent | 0 |
The phone count includes people whose email is not mailable. The facets on the mailable count showed the US at 11,917, Canada at 181 and the UK at 178. Software Development led the industries at 2,782. By company size, 8,760 sit at 51-200 and 6,489 at 201-500.
The counts move as the dataset refreshes monthly. Run it again for today's figure. This is the shape of the reply, with placeholder values.

FAQ
Why does the phone count exceed the mailable count?
They measure different things. The mailable count needs a verified or catch-all email. The phone count only needs a number on file, whatever the email status.
Can it give me a count of companies?
No. count_leads counts people. search_companies has no free count mode, so the skill only uses it for a spot check of up to 5 companies, at 1 record each.
Is the count safe to put in a deck?
Quote it with the date. The dataset is refreshed monthly, so a number from last quarter will be stale.
