An AI solution for GTM enrichment is a tool that fills in missing contact and company data for you, through a model, a waterfall of providers or an agent that calls it. GTM engineers, RevOps leads and founders who run outreach from code need one that an agent can reach and that does not bill per click.
People leave their first tool for three reasons. The credit meter punishes volume, as with Clay and Crustdata. Pricing is per seat, so a script still pays for headcount (Apollo). Or the free plan is a demo and everything above it is a sales call (People Data Labs).
This list ranks 7 tools on what an agent or script can do with them. For the wider field, read the best lead enrichment tools for GTM engineers and the glossary entry on enrichment.

Prices are monthly list prices first, billed-yearly figures after. Every competitor figure links to its source below, checked September 2026. We did not run a hit-rate test, so we do not rank on find rates. We ranked on limits and prices you can verify.
What we evaluated
- Agent access. Is there an official hosted MCP server, and which plans can use it?
- Free tier. What does Free actually include: records, API, MCP, phones?
- API limits. What is the rate limit, per second or per minute, and is the API on every plan?
- Price model. Per credit, per seat or flat. We priced 1M work-email lookups for each and wrote "No public 1M price" where none exists.
- What AI means here. A model that researches (Claygent), a waterfall that picks a provider, or an agent that calls a clean API. We say which.
1. LeadOcean: best for agents and scripts pulling data at volume
LeadOcean is a data layer, not a workspace. It holds 693M people and 67M companies, with 366M people carrying an email and 166M a phone. You reach it over REST or a hosted MCP server, and the free plan includes both.
The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp has 13 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.1, so no key gets pasted into a chat. Claude and ChatGPT can search, enrich and export through it. Sizing tools are free: leadocean_count_leads and leadocean_count_companies tell an agent how big a list is before it spends a record.
For code, the endpoints are POST /v1/people/enrich, POST /v1/companies/enrich, /v1/people/search, /v1/companies/search, GET /v2/people/email/work and GET /v2/people/phone. Person enrich also returns career history: past roles, education, certifications and awards.
Pros
- Free is 1,000 records for life, no card, with the whole database, API and MCP.
- Agency at $497 a month has a fair-use pace of 1M enrichments a day, not a credit meter.
- Rate limits you can plan around: 5 requests a second on Free, 50 on Solo, 200 on Agency, 10,000 on Platform.
- 13 MCP tools on every plan, with free count and filter tools.
- An enrichment that finds nothing costs nothing.
Cons
- No tables, sequencer, dialer or CRM. It is the data hop, not the workspace.
- Free is a one-off 1,000 records, and bulk CSV export is not on Free.
- No Chrome extension. Reps who want a sidebar should look elsewhere.
- The v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, including a miss.
Best for: teams whose agents or scripts call enrichment and who want a bill that stays flat.
Pricing: Free $0 (1,000 records for life, no card), Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 a month, Platform $1,997 a month. Source: LeadOcean pricing, October 2026.
2. Clay: best for building AI enrichment workflows in tables

Clay is a spreadsheet where each column calls a data provider, an AI research agent (Claygent) or an HTTP API. If your job is to design the workflow, Clay is the best place to do it.
The developer platform (Public API, CLI and plugin) is on every plan, including Free. Free search is capped at 50 results per request and 100 a month. Clay publishes no rate-limit number for its API. Tables are read-only through the API, and structured table queries need Enterprise.
Clay also has an MCP server, and new accounts get 500 free credits on first connect. Seats are unlimited on every plan.
Pros
- Waterfalls, Claygent and an HTTP API column in one table.
- Free plan with Claygent and unlimited seats.
- An enrichment that returns no result is charged no Data Credits and no Actions.
- Bring your own key, so a flat-price source can sit in a column and spare your Clay credits.
Cons
- Two meters. A plan is Actions plus Data Credits, and Actions cannot be bought as top-ups.
- Free is 100 Data Credits and 500 Actions a month, 200 rows per table, and no phone enrichment.
- Clay's own doc puts a fully enriched record at 6 to 20 Data Credits.
- Self-serve stops at 200,000 Actions and 50,000 Data Credits a month. Above that it is Enterprise by quote.
Best for: workflow design, with a cheaper data source plugged in underneath.
Pricing: Free $0, Launch from $185 a month ($167 billed yearly), Growth from $495 a month ($446 billed yearly), Enterprise custom. Source: Clay pricing, September 2026.
3. Crustdata: best for fresh signals and watchers over API

Crustdata is an API-first vendor for people, company and job data, with watchers that flag changes. It is built for engineers and agents, not for reps. Its hosted MCP server is at install.crustdata.com, with OAuth sign-in for interactive clients and an API key as a bearer token for code.
The meter is credits. Search costs 0.03 credits per result. A work-email lookup is 2 credits through /person/enrich, or 1 credit through /person/contact/enrich, which needs an enterprise plan. Self-serve keys get a 403 on that endpoint.
Default rate limits are low for volume work: 15 requests a minute on person enrich and 30 on search. Batch person enrich takes up to 10,000 identifiers a job.
Pros
- Official MCP server with a bearer-token option for headless code.
- Watchers for changes to a person or a company.
- Batch jobs of up to 10,000 identifiers.
- Misses on contact enrich are not billed.
Cons
- The pricing page lists no plans, no dollar prices and no price per credit.
- Contact enrich is gated to enterprise plans.
- Default rate limits are per minute, not per second.
- Purchased credits expire 12 months after purchase, per the docs.
Best for: teams that want fresh profiles and change signals and will talk to sales.
Pricing: No public dollar price. Credits per call are in the docs. Source: Crustdata pricing docs, September 2026.
4. FullEnrich: best for waterfall email and mobile finding
FullEnrich runs a waterfall across 25+ data sources and returns only what it verifies. Pick it when the job is "find the email and mobile for this list" and you do not care which source supplies it.
API, MCP, search, bulk CSV and HubSpot are on every plan, including the free trial. Users are unlimited. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not found costs 0.
The limit is 60 API calls a minute across Enrich, Reverse Email and Search, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request. That suits batches and slows real-time loops.
Pros
- Entry price of $29 a month for 500 credits, and a free trial with 50 credits.
- API and MCP on every plan, with unlimited users.
- Credits roll over: 3 months on monthly plans, 12 months on annual plans.
- Integrations with Clay, n8n, Zapier and Make.
Cons
- Credit-based, and the top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500. Above that, contact sales.
- 60 calls a minute is a hard ceiling for high-volume scripts.
- A mobile costs 10 credits.
Best for: email and mobile finding at small to mid volume, wired into Clay or n8n.
Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits ($26 a month billed yearly). Source: FullEnrich pricing, September 2026.
5. Apollo: best for data and outreach in one login

Apollo is a prospecting database with a sequencer, dialer and CRM sync attached. Every plan has API access, and the official MCP server at mcp.apollo.io is open to every plan, including Free. It is also a built-in connector in Claude and ChatGPT.
The price model is per seat with credits attached. An email is 1 credit, a phone 8, and people enrichment by API runs 1 to 9. Paid plans get 1,000 enrichment calls a minute with no hourly or daily limit.
For a script the catch is seats. Credits are granted per seat, so volume turns into headcount. Search is stricter: 200 a minute and 50,000 a day on paid plans.
Pros
- Free plan with API access and MCP.
- 1,000 enrichment calls a minute on paid plans.
- Sequencer, dialer and CRM in the same product.
- Official MCP server that works in the apps your team already uses.
Cons
- Per-seat credits: 1M emails a month is 250 Professional seats at list price.
- A phone number costs 8 credits.
- Price per extra credit is not published.
- You pay for the workspace even if you only want the data.
Best for: teams that run outreach in the same tool and keep volume modest.
Pricing: Free, Basic $65, Professional $99, Organization $149 per seat a month ($49, $79 and $119 billed yearly). Source: Apollo pricing, September 2026.
6. BetterContact: best for cheap waterfall on small lists
BetterContact is a waterfall that queries 20+ providers and verifies the result before it charges you. A credit buys an email plus verification, and you pay only for valid results. A mobile is 10 credits.
It is the cheapest paid entry on this list: Starter is $15 a month for 200 credits. Pro steps run from $49 for 1,000 credits to $1,999 for 50,000. The rate limit is 100 requests a minute on Starter and 200 on Pro.
We found no MCP server on its homepage, pricing page or API docs index, so an agent has to go through the REST API.
Pros
- Starter at $15 a month, and 50 free credits on signup with no card.
- Charged only on valid results.
- Unused credits roll over, capped at twice the subscribed amount.
- Bulk enrich takes up to 100 leads a call.
Cons
- No MCP server found in September 2026.
- The top public step is 50,000 credits, 5 percent of 1M lookups.
- Rate limits are per minute.
Best for: small lists where a waterfall and a low entry price matter more than volume.
Pricing: Starter $15 a month ($12.50 billed yearly), Pro from $49 a month for 1,000 credits, Enterprise from $799 a month. Source: BetterContact pricing, September 2026.
7. People Data Labs: best for raw person and company records

People Data Labs (PDL) is a bulk data vendor. Its full person dataset is 2,466,510,427 profiles, and its company dataset is 76,606,079 records. It is built for engineers who store the data themselves.
Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, $0.28 a credit. PDL says Pro person profiles cost about $0.20 to $0.28 each. Self-serve is meant for volumes below roughly 100,000 person profiles. Above that you talk to sales.
Person enrichment allows 1,000 requests a minute on paying plans. Person search is 10 a minute by default. PDL has no official MCP server. Only community ones exist.
Pros
- The largest person dataset on this list, per PDL's own stats.
- A request that returns nothing (404) is not billed.
- Bulk enrichment takes up to 100 persons per request.
- Clear per-credit pricing on the entry tier.
Cons
- Per-record pricing, and no public price at volume.
- No official MCP server.
- Person search is 10 requests a minute by default.
- Contact data is obscured on the Free plan.
Best for: engineers who license a dataset and build on it.
Pricing: Free (100 credits a month), Pro from $98 a month ($78 a month billed yearly), Enterprise custom. Source: PDL person pricing, September 2026.

How to choose
- An agent or script does the enrichment. Pick LeadOcean. A flat price and a per-second rate limit beat a credit meter, and the free plan lets you test the MCP tools.
- You design AI workflows in tables. Pick Clay, and put a flat-price source in an HTTP API column so Data Credits go to the steps that need them.
- You need change signals. Pick Crustdata, and expect a sales call for contact data.
- You want emails and mobiles for a list. Pick FullEnrich for a larger waterfall, or BetterContact for a lower entry price.
- Your reps live in one tool. Pick Apollo and keep volume modest.
- You build a product on raw records. Pick People Data Labs and budget for Enterprise.
Verdict
LeadOcean wins for teams whose agents or scripts pull data: one flat price, per-second rate limits, a 13-tool MCP server and a free plan that includes both. Clay wins for the workflow layer, and the two work together through an HTTP API column. FullEnrich wins for waterfall email and mobile finding, and BetterContact for the cheapest paid start. Apollo wins for teams that want data and outreach in one login, Crustdata for change signals and People Data Labs for raw records. Price 1M lookups before you commit: only two tools on this list give you a public number.
FAQ
What is the best free AI solution for GTM enrichment?
For agents, LeadOcean Free: 1,000 records for life, with API and MCP, no card. Clay Free gives Claygent and 100 Data Credits a month, and Apollo Free gives API and MCP with 75 credits a month. Pick on whether you need records, a workflow tool or a prospecting UI.
How much does GTM enrichment cost at 1M records a month?
LeadOcean Agency is $497 a month on a fair-use pace. Apollo is $24,750 a month at list price. Clay, Crustdata, FullEnrich, BetterContact and People Data Labs publish no 1M price.
Which of these have an MCP server?
LeadOcean (13 tools), Clay, Crustdata, FullEnrich and Apollo have hosted MCP servers. People Data Labs has no official one, and we found none for BetterContact. See the LeadOcean MCP docs for the tool list.
Do I need Clay if I have an enrichment API?
Not for the data. Clay is a workflow tool, so you keep it for orchestration and call an API for the data. Use an HTTP API column and a conditional run to skip rows that are already filled.
What is the difference between a waterfall and an AI agent?
A waterfall tries providers in order until one returns a verified result. An agent decides what to look up and calls a data API through MCP or REST. Most teams use both: an agent picks the target, and a clean API supplies the record.
