A B2B data provider for Germany sells records of people and companies located in Germany, with titles, work emails and phones, through an app, an API or both. Sales teams use one to fill pipeline. Engineers and agents use one to enrich German accounts in code.
Here, coverage in Germany is the only test. A global total says little about a Geschäftsführer in Stuttgart. Only Dealfront has German roots, and no vendor here publishes a Germany-only count on the pages we read. LeadOcean has a free count call, so we counted: 1,744,229 mailable people in Germany on 2026-10-01.
We have not run named lists through rival tools, so we quote no match rates. Rivals: Dealfront, Cognism, Apollo, ZoomInfo, People Data Labs and Kaspr. For the wider region, read DACH, best B2B databases, the UK and best B2B data providers.

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, at list price. Where a vendor publishes no price at that size, we say so and do not multiply a small-plan rate.
What we evaluated
- Germany coverage claim: what the vendor publishes about Germany, and whether it gives a count or only a global or European total.
- Coverage test: 100 named German contacts, 50 at companies of 51 to 500 staff and 50 at larger groups, half with German titles such as Geschäftsführer or Leiter. Run them through the tool's free allowance and score found, email returned and phone returned.
- Reachability: emails and phones, and what a miss costs.
- Access: API, MCP and rate limit.
- Price at volume: flat, credits, seats or quote, and the cost of 1M records.
Only LeadOcean counts were run by us, on 2026-10-01. For every other tool we give the free allowance you can spend on the test.
1. Dealfront (Leadfeeder): best for German sales and marketing teams
Dealfront is the German-rooted option. It formed when Germany's Echobot merged with Finland's Leadfeeder, and its April 2023 launch release calls it a DACH and Nordic market leader (Dealfront launch release, April 2023). That is the vendor's own claim, from 2023.
The company now trades as Leadfeeder and says its core strength is website visitor identification (Leadfeeder, October 2026).
The homepage claims 60M companies, 400M verified contacts and 100+ filters (Dealfront, October 2026). It gives no split for Germany. List prices are the same number in dollars and euros (Leadfeeder help, September 2026).
Germany coverage test: Lite is free with 20 credits a month and up to 100 identified companies (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026). On paid plans an email-only contact costs 0.2 credit and email plus phone costs 1 (Leadfeeder credits help, September 2026). Ask sales for a German sample built from your own list.
API access is on Discover, Activate and Scale, not Lite. The limit is 10 requests a second per key, a burst of 15 and 100,000 requests a month (Leadfeeder API docs, September 2026). The MCP server is in beta and comes with a paid plan that has API access (Leadfeeder MCP page, September 2026).
Pros
- German roots and a stated DACH focus.
- Free Lite plan to start.
- Visitor identification and company data in one platform.
Cons
- No public price at 1M. 1M email-only contacts is 200,000 credits against 5,500 a month on Scale.
- 100,000 API requests a month per key.
- No Germany count on the pages we read.
Best for: German sales and marketing teams that want company data and visitor identification in one app.
Pricing: Lite free. Discover $113 a month billed monthly or $79 billed yearly, Activate $527 or $369, Scale from $599 billed yearly (Leadfeeder pricing, September 2026).
2. Cognism: best for German outbound teams that call mobiles

Cognism sells prospecting built around phone-verified mobiles and European data. Its own EMEA page says coverage is strongest in the UK, DACH, Benelux, Nordics, France and Spain, and claims more than 200M European contacts (Cognism EMEA data, October 2026). Those are vendor claims. The page names DACH as a block, with no count for Germany.
Cognism claims more than 10M phone-verified contacts and Do Not Call checks in 15 territories (Cognism Diamond Data, September 2026). It publishes no dollar price (Cognism pricing, September 2026).
Germany coverage test: the same EMEA page offers a 25-lead sample and a way to check coverage in your key markets before you buy (Cognism EMEA data, October 2026). Send your 100 German names and ask for the sample to be built from them. Count how many come back with a mobile.
The API allows 500 requests a minute per account, per operation (Cognism rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server has 15 tools and OAuth 2.0 sign-in (Cognism MCP docs, September 2026). API and MCP need a package that includes them.
Pros
- Phone-verified mobiles with Do Not Call checks.
- Free sample to test your own German list.
Cons
- No public price at any size, so 1M needs a sales call.
- No Germany count, and no total beyond "hundreds of millions" (Cognism FAQ, September 2026).
Best for: German outbound teams that call mobiles and can buy through sales.
Pricing: Quote only. Standard and Pro (Cognism pricing, September 2026).
3. LeadOcean: best for German data by API, agent or at volume
LeadOcean holds 693M people worldwide, and 67M companies. We counted the Germany slice on 2026-10-01 with the free count_leads tool over MCP. The default counts only people whose best email is verified, catch-all valid or catch-all, so those rows are mailable counts. "Located in Germany" means the person's country is DE.
| Query | People |
|---|---|
| Located in Germany, verified or catch-all email | 1,744,229 |
| Located in Germany, any email status, including none | 10,397,031 |
| Located in Germany, with a phone number, any email status (not a mailable count) | 464,734 |
| Employer headquartered in Germany, person anywhere, verified or catch-all email | 2,000,771 |
| Located in Germany, title Geschäftsführer, verified or catch-all email | 18,764 |
| Located in Germany, IT function, director, VP or C-team, verified or catch-all email | 3,658 |
| Located in Germany, software companies with 51 to 500 employees, owner, founder or C-suite, verified or catch-all email | 1,083 |
About 17% of the people we hold in Germany are mailable, and about 4.5% have a phone number. The mailable set leans to large groups: 626,264 people, 36%, work at companies of 10,001 or more staff, against 290,429, 17%, at companies of 51 to 500. The biggest industries are IT services (126,981), software (117,308) and motor vehicle manufacturing (88,528). The Geschäftsführer row misses people titled Managing Director.
Germany coverage test: pass each of your 100 account domains to count_leads with country DE. The call is free, so you can test thousands of accounts. A miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404. The REST count caps meta.total at 100,000, so use MCP for country-wide totals.
curl "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?jobLevel=Director&country=DE&limit=1&count=true" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY"Agency is $497 a month, flat, with 200 requests a second per account. Solo is $97 for one person. Search has 50 people filters and 34 company filters, phones are GET /v2/people/phone, and POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows a request. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp uses OAuth 2.1 and exposes 13 tools. The data is refreshed monthly.
Pros
- A measured Germany count that you can rerun for free.
- Flat $497 a month on Agency, with no credit meter.
- REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
- An
email_statuson every record, with 13 values.
Cons
- The German set leans to large groups. Mittelstand firms of 51 to 500 staff are 17% of mailable people.
- No phone verification, Do Not Call screening or intent data.
- No rep workspace, sequencer, dialer, CRM or Chrome extension.
- No name plus domain lookup. Search by domain, then enrich by
person_id.
Best for: engineers, RevOps teams and agents that pull German people by API or MCP at a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo is $97, Agency $497 and Platform $1,997 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).
4. Apollo: best for sizing Germany for free in an app

Apollo lets you size Germany before you pay. People API Search costs 0 credits and takes person_locations[] and organization_locations[], which accept cities, states and countries (Apollo API docs, October 2026). The first is where the person lives. The second is where the employer is headquartered.
Apollo claims 240M contacts and 30M companies, with no split for Germany (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Search returns no emails or phones, and enrichment spends credits: 1 for an email and 8 more if a mobile comes back (Apollo API pricing, September 2026).
Germany coverage test: call the search with person_locations[]=germany and per_page=1, then read total_entries. Repeat with organization_locations[]. It costs 0 credits. Then spend the free plan's 75 credits enriching 75 of your names.
Paid plans allow 1,000 enrichment requests a minute and 200 search requests a minute (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). Apollo runs an official MCP server on any plan (Apollo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Free search by country, by API and in the app.
- API and official MCP server on every plan, including Free.
Cons
- No Germany coverage figure on the pages we read.
- Search shows 50,000 records at most, so a big German pull needs slicing by title or industry.
- Seats cap the credits. 1M work emails is 250 Professional seats, or $24,750 a month at list.
Best for: small teams that want to see German contacts in an app before they pay.
Pricing: Free, then $65, $99 and $149 per seat a month, or $49, $79 and $119 billed yearly (Apollo pricing, September 2026).
5. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise teams that sell in Germany and worldwide
ZoomInfo is an enterprise sales intelligence suite. Its MCP docs claim 100M+ companies and 500M+ contacts, worldwide (GTM AI MCP docs, September 2026). The pages we read give no Germany split, so the global total tells you little about German accounts.
Platform plans are quoted by sales (ZoomInfo, July 2026). For code, ZoomInfo sells GTM AI, an API and MCP server on pay-as-you-go credits. List price falls from $0.45 a data credit to $0.25 at 100,000 credits, which is $25,000 (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
Germany coverage test: Free gives 1,000 data credits with no card, and search and lookup are free (GTM AI pricing, September 2026). Size your German accounts with free searches, then spend 100 data credits enriching your named list.
Rate limits are 5 requests a second on Builder, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Free tier of 1,000 data credits with API and MCP, no card.
- Free search and lookup, so a Germany sizing test is cheap.
- Intent data in the same suite.
Cons
- The credit slider stops at 100,000 credits. Beyond that is a quote.
- No Germany count, and platform prices are not public.
Best for: enterprise sales teams that sell in Germany as one of many countries and want signals in one login.
Pricing: GTM AI credits from $20, $0.45 down to $0.25 each. Platform plans by quote (GTM AI pricing, September 2026).
6. People Data Labs: best for data teams that write their own German queries

People Data Labs (PDL) is a person and company data API sold per record. Its dataset page lists 2,466,510,427 profiles, 592,376,573 of them with an email (PDL datasets, September 2026). Those are global counts. PDL fills location_country on 74% of records, so a quarter of profiles cannot match a Germany filter at all (PDL stats, October 2026).
PDL Person Search takes an Elasticsearch or SQL query and charges one credit per profile returned (PDL docs, October 2026). Free is up to 100 records a month with emails, phones and addresses obscured. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, or $78 billed yearly (PDL pricing, September 2026).
Germany coverage test: send a search with location_country set to germany and size 1, and read total. It costs one credit. Set dataset to all, because the default dataset is resume (PDL docs, October 2026). The free plan hides contact data, so it tests counts, not emails.
Enrichment allows 100 requests a minute on Free and 1,000 on paid plans. Person Search allows 10 a minute by default (PDL usage limits, September 2026). PDL's docs list no official MCP server (PDL docs index, September 2026).
Pros
- Query any field in a large person schema.
- A free plan to test search counts.
- A miss is not billed.
Cons
- No Germany count on the pages we read, and a country field missing on 26% of profiles.
- Self-serve stops near 100,000 profiles a year (PDL pricing guide, September 2026).
- Person Search is 10 requests a minute by default, and there is no official MCP server.
Best for: data teams that want a large person database and write their own Germany queries.
Pricing: Free, then Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits, or $78 billed yearly. Enterprise is a quote (PDL pricing, September 2026).
7. Kaspr: best for reps prospecting from LinkedIn across Europe
Kaspr is a LinkedIn-first contact finder, born in France, with hubs in the UK and Spain. Its data page claims 200 million European B2B contacts from 120+ sources (Kaspr data page, October 2026). It gives no figure for Germany.
Free is $0 per user with 15 B2B email credits, 5 phone credits and 5 direct email credits a month. Starter is EUR 59 or $65 per user a month, and Business is EUR 99 or $99 (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).
Germany coverage test: the free plan gives 5 phone credits, so run 15 German names for email and 5 for phones, then upgrade one Starter seat for a month if the hit rate is good. Export on Free is capped at 100.
API access is on request on paid plans. Starter allows 20 requests an hour and 250 a day, and Business allows 250 an hour and 500 a day (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). Each API call also spends one export credit (Kaspr help center, September 2026). The API docs list no MCP server (Kaspr API docs, October 2026).
Pros
- Europe is the home market.
- Free plan and a low per-user price.
- Unlimited B2B email credits on paid plans, subject to fair use.
Cons
- No Germany count on the pages we read.
- API on request, 500 calls a day at the top public tier, and no MCP server listed.
- Business caps exports at 30,000 a year, so no public plan reaches 1M.
Best for: reps who look up contacts one profile at a time in the browser and sell across Europe.
Pricing: Free, Starter EUR 59 or $65 and Business EUR 99 or $99 per user a month billed monthly (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).

- German people by API, agent or at volume, with a count you can verify: LeadOcean.
- Free Germany sizing in an app before any contract: Apollo.

Verdict
Dealfront wins for German sales and marketing teams that want company data in an app, because it is the only German-rooted vendor here. Cognism wins for outbound teams that call German mobiles, as long as its sample holds up on your list. LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It is the only one here with a free, repeatable Germany count, 1,744,229 mailable people, though it leans to large groups. Apollo wins for free sizing, ZoomInfo suits global enterprises, People Data Labs suits data teams, and Kaspr suits LinkedIn-first reps. We have not measured German match rates for the rivals, so run the same 100 names through any two before you pay. Start on the free plan.
FAQ
What is the best B2B data provider for Germany?
Dealfront and Cognism claim DACH depth and suit teams that work in an app or call mobiles. LeadOcean suits buyers who pull by API or agent and want a Germany count they can check.
How do I test Germany coverage before I buy?
Take 100 named contacts, 50 at companies of 51 to 500 staff and 50 at larger groups, half with German titles. Run them through each tool's free allowance and score found, email returned and phone returned.
Which provider has the most contacts in Germany?
No provider here publishes a Germany-only count on the pages we read, except LeadOcean, which counted 1,744,229 mailable people in Germany on 2026-10-01. Apollo and People Data Labs let you read a Germany total through search. Ask each vendor for a count on your own filters.
Is a US database good enough for Germany?
Only a test on your list can say. Apollo, ZoomInfo and People Data Labs publish global totals with no Germany split, and People Data Labs leaves the country blank on 26% of profiles. Run your 100 names through the free plans first.
Which German data providers have an MCP server?
LeadOcean, Dealfront (in beta), Cognism, ZoomInfo and Apollo do. Kaspr's API docs list none, and People Data Labs lists no official one. MCP calls spend the same credits as the API at Apollo.
What does German data cost at 1M records a month?
LeadOcean Agency is $497 a month flat, with fair use applying. Apollo is $24,750 a month at list on monthly billing, or $19,600 billed yearly. The other five publish no price at 1M, so ask for a quote.
