7 Best Enrichment Tools for HubSpot in 2026 (Compared)

Native apps fill records inside HubSpot. APIs fill them at volume. Here is which to pick, with field mapping, dedupe and cost per 10k records.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

HubSpot enrichment fills the blank fields on your contacts and companies, such as job title, phone, employee range and industry. HubSpot teams need it when forms bring in a bare email, when imports arrive half empty, or when reps want direct dials.

The built-in app is free of credits but works on 100 records at a time from an index page and fills only business emails (HubSpot docs, October 2026). Teams outgrow it for phones, for volume and for sources that agree. Most then pick between a native app and an API.

We rank seven tools by what they do inside a HubSpot portal. LeadOcean is one of them, so weigh our placement accordingly. If you already compared LeadOcean with a single rival, see LeadOcean vs Apollo, Clay, Lusha, FullEnrich and ZoomInfo. For the method behind multi-source lookups, read what is waterfall enrichment.

What we evaluated

  • Field mapping. Which HubSpot properties the tool can fill, and whether you choose them or it chooses for you.
  • Dedupe. HubSpot dedupes contacts by email and companies by domain (HubSpot docs, October 2026). We checked whether each tool updates a record or creates a twin.
  • Native app or API. Whether it runs inside HubSpot, in code, or both.
  • Cost per 10k records. Monthly list price for 10,000 work-email lookups, with no volume deals.
  • Cost at 1M. Only where the vendor publishes a price. Otherwise we say so.

1. HubSpot Data Enrichment (Breeze Intelligence): best for HubSpot-only teams

HubSpot enriches contacts and companies from its own commercial dataset, with no code and no extra vendor. Clearbit is now part of it, and Breeze Intelligence is the name you will see in older docs. Data enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits (HubSpot docs, October 2026).

Field mapping is the strong point. Automatic enrichment fills only blank properties and never overwrites a value set by a user or another system. Manual enrichment can overwrite if you choose. Continuous enrichment stops on a property once a person edits it (HubSpot docs, October 2026). Dedupe is not a problem, because the app enriches the record that already exists.

The limits show at volume. A contact needs a business email, so Gmail and Yahoo addresses are skipped. An index page enrolls at most 100 records at a time, so 10,000 records is 100 batches, or one workflow. Segments and workflows take larger sets, but HubSpot publishes no monthly cap (HubSpot docs, October 2026).

Pros

  • No credits, no key, no code.
  • Writes into the record with a timeline entry.
  • Never overwrites in automatic mode.
  • Works from a workflow action.

Cons

  • Business emails only, and company domains for accounts.
  • No search for new people: it fills in records you already hold.
  • 100 records at a time from an index page.
  • Needs a paid HubSpot hub. The free CRM does not list it.

Best for: HubSpot teams that want blanks filled with no engineer.

Pricing: Included from Starter hubs. HubSpot shows prices in local currency with limited-time Starter discounts, and Professional adds a required one-time onboarding fee (HubSpot pricing, October 2026). Cost per 10k records: the plan fee, since no credits are used.

2. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume enrichment

LeadOcean is a B2B data API with a hosted MCP server. It holds 693M people and 67M companies. You call it from a script, a workflow tool or an agent, and write the result back to HubSpot properties you define.

It is built for the case the native app cannot handle: tens of thousands of records, or lookups that run on a schedule. POST /v1/people/enrich takes an email, a LinkedIn URL, a phone or a person id. POST /v1/companies/enrich takes a domain. A person we hold nothing for is a 404 and costs nothing. The 10-line recipe below is the whole integration.

LeadOcean is not a HubSpot app. There is no one-click sync, no sidebar and no Chrome extension. A RevOps person with no engineer should start with a native tool. A team with a developer, a Make scenario or a Claude agent pays one flat fee at any volume.

Pros

  • Flat pricing: Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 a month. No per-record price or overage invoice.
  • Search and enrich on one key. Sizing a list with counts is free.
  • 13 MCP tools, so an agent can look up a contact and write to HubSpot.
  • A miss costs nothing.

Cons

  • Enrich takes one identifier: email, LinkedIn URL, phone or person id. There is no name plus domain lookup.
  • No native HubSpot sync. You write the mapping.
  • Bulk CSV export is not on Free.
  • The Free plan is 1,000 records for life, at 5 requests a second.

Best for: Engineers, RevOps with scripts, and agents that enrich at volume.

Pricing: Free $0 (1,000 records for life), Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 a month, Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026). Solo covers 10k enrichments every 5 hours, so 10,000 contacts fit in one month at $97.

The LeadOcean to HubSpot recipe

Read contacts with a blank custom property, enrich by email, and upsert the result by email so HubSpot updates the existing contact and never creates a twin. Write to custom properties (here leadocean_phone and leadocean_email_status) so no rep-typed value is overwritten. The full walkthrough, with a bash version, is in how to enrich HubSpot contacts with an API.

python
import os, requests

LO = {"x-api-key": os.environ["LEADOCEAN_API_KEY"]}
HS = {"Authorization": f"Bearer {os.environ['HUBSPOT_TOKEN']}"}

def enrich(email):
    r = requests.post("https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich",
                      headers=LO, json={"email": email, "reveal_email": True})
    return r.json()["data"]["contact_data"] if r.status_code == 200 else None

contacts = requests.get(
    "https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/objects/contacts?limit=100&properties=email,leadocean_email_status",
    headers=HS).json()["results"]

inputs = []
for c in contacts:
    p = c["properties"]
    if p.get("leadocean_email_status") or not p.get("email"):
        continue
    d = enrich(p["email"])
    if d:
        phones = d.get("contact_phones") or [{}]
        inputs.append({"idProperty": "email", "id": p["email"], "properties": {
            "leadocean_phone": phones[0].get("phone", ""),
            "leadocean_email_status": d.get("email_status", "")}})

requests.post("https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/objects/contacts/batch/upsert",
              headers=HS, json={"inputs": inputs})

Test on 10 contacts first. Read email_status before you send: there is no refund for bounced emails. For companies, call POST /v1/companies/enrich with the domain and upsert on the company domain name. HubSpot's batch upsert accepts idProperty for the match key (HubSpot API docs, September 2026).

3. FullEnrich: best for no-code waterfall into HubSpot

FullEnrich checks 25+ data sources in sequence and bills only on a find. HubSpot is a listed integration, alongside Zapier, Make, n8n and Clay (FullEnrich, September 2026). API, MCP, search, bulk CSV and HubSpot are on every plan, the free trial included.

Credits make the cost easy to predict. A work email is 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. A miss or a landline costs 0 (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). Ten thousand work emails is 10,000 credits, which is $499 a month at the monthly list price.

The API is rate limited to 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request. That is fine for a nightly HubSpot job. It is slow for a live form flow with high traffic.

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, charged only on a find.
  • HubSpot, Zapier, Make and n8n connectors on every plan.
  • Unused credits roll over 3 months monthly, 12 months yearly.
  • Phone and personal email available.

Cons

  • A mobile costs 10 credits, so phone-heavy lists add up.
  • 60 API calls a minute.
  • No public price at 1M.

Best for: RevOps teams that want phones and emails from several sources without code.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits. 10,000 credits is $499 a month, or $454 a month billed yearly (120,000 credits a year). Top public monthly tier is 100,000 credits at $3,500 (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

4. Apollo: best for reps who also prospect

apollo homepage

Apollo is a prospecting database with enrichment on top. Its pricing page says it integrates with HubSpot (Apollo pricing, October 2026). It also has an MCP server and API access on every plan, Free included.

Credits are pooled across the team. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8. People enrichment by API is 1 to 9 credits. Credits expire at the end of each billing cycle (Apollo docs, September 2026). Check field mapping and dedupe settings in Apollo before the first sync.

The price model is per seat, and credits come per seat. That suits a sales team of five. It gets costly when you only want a data feed: 10,000 monthly lookups is 4 Basic seats at $65, or $260 a month. At 1M it is a seat count, not a plan.

Pros

  • Free plan with API access.
  • Prospecting and enrichment in one place.
  • Enrichment endpoints reach 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans.
  • Official MCP server.

Cons

  • Credits expire each cycle and do not roll over.
  • Per-seat pricing, so volume means seats.
  • Price per extra credit is not public.
  • A phone is 8 credits.

Best for: Sales teams that prospect and enrich in the same tool.

Pricing: Basic $65 a seat a month ($49 billed yearly), Professional $99 ($79 yearly), Organization $149 ($119 yearly, minimum 3 seats) (Apollo pricing, September 2026). 10k records a month: 4 Basic seats, $260 a month, or $196 billed yearly.

5. Clay: best for RevOps who build tables

clay homepage

Clay is a table where each column calls a data provider. It lists a HubSpot integration that syncs companies and contacts into Clay tables, and a HubSpot Sequencer action (Clay integrations, October 2026). Mapping is explicit: you choose columns, and Clay writes them.

Cost is two meters. Actions are under $0.01 each, and Data Credits start at $0.05. A fully enriched record typically costs 6 to 20 Data Credits, plus one Action per enrichment (Clay docs, September 2026). An enrichment that returns no result is not charged.

For 10,000 email lookups at Clay's own example of 0.5 credit per find, you need 10,000 Actions and 5,000 Data Credits. On Launch that is $60 plus $290, about $350 a month. This is arithmetic from Clay's example, not a published email price. No self-serve tier reaches 1M lookups a month.

Pros

  • Many sources and waterfalls in one table.
  • Public API on every plan, Free included.
  • Free plan with 100 Data Credits and 500 Actions a month.
  • No charge when an enrichment finds nothing.

Cons

  • Two meters to model.
  • Rows capped at 50,000 a table on Launch and Growth.
  • The HTTP API column needs Growth.
  • No public price at 1M.

Best for: RevOps builders who want to design the enrichment logic.

Pricing: Launch $185 a month ($167 billed yearly) with 15,000 Actions and 2,500 Data Credits. Growth $495 a month ($446 billed yearly) (Clay pricing, September 2026).

6. Lusha: best for reps who reveal contacts in HubSpot

lusha homepage

Lusha has a native HubSpot app. It pushes contacts and companies you find in Lusha straight into HubSpot. Admins control field mapping for contacts and companies, and a built-in check looks for existing records first, so you do not create duplicates (Lusha, October 2026).

That is the best dedupe story of the paid apps here, and it is stated by the vendor. The model is a rep revealing a contact, not a batch job. For batch work, Lusha has an API, and an MCP server with 50 tools.

Credits are the cost. An email is 1 credit and a phone 5. A bulk request adds 1 credit per 25 results (Lusha docs, September 2026). 10,000 emails by bulk API is 10,400 credits, above the top public monthly step of 10,000 credits at $977.40.

Pros

  • Native HubSpot app with field mapping and duplicate checks.
  • Chrome extension for reps.
  • API and MCP server on every plan.
  • Free plan with 40 credits a month.

Cons

  • Phones cost 5 credits.
  • Monthly steps stop at 10,000 credits.
  • Docs disagree on whether a no-match request is charged.
  • No public price at 1M.

Best for: Sales teams that reveal contacts one by one and push them to HubSpot.

Pricing: Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly), Pro $69.90 ($52.45 yearly), Premium $399.90 ($299.95 yearly) (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

7. ZoomInfo: best for enterprise with a sales motion

ZoomInfo has the deepest HubSpot connection of the seven. Its integration page lists ZoomInfo Enrich for HubSpot, a HubSpot connector, a Chrome extension, and a Breeze Prospecting Agent connector. Data management covers enrichment and deduplication (ZoomInfo, October 2026).

The catch is price. The platform plans (Professional, Copilot Advanced and Copilot Enterprise) carry no list price, only a request form (ZoomInfo pricing, October 2026). The self-serve GTM AI product publishes credits from $0.45 down to $0.25 at 100,000 credits ($25,000) (ZoomInfo GTM AI, September 2026).

For 10,000 credits at the $0.38 tier, that is $3,800. A record is charged once per 12 months, so re-enriching it in that window costs nothing extra. GTM AI includes an MCP server, an API and 5 requests a second on the free tier.

Pros

  • Deepest HubSpot connector set, with dedupe tools.
  • Intent data and a large claimed database.
  • Re-enriching a record within 12 months costs no extra credit.
  • Free tier of 1,000 data credits.

Cons

  • Highest cost per record of the seven.
  • Platform pricing is not public.
  • 100K+ credits is Enterprise sales.
  • Built for sales teams, not a data feed.

Best for: Enterprise sales teams that already run ZoomInfo.

Pricing: GTM AI credits from $0.45 each, falling to $0.25 at 100,000 credits (ZoomInfo GTM AI, September 2026). Platform plans: quote only.

How to choose

  • No engineer, HubSpot only: start with HubSpot Data Enrichment. Add FullEnrich if you need phones.
  • A developer, a script or an agent: LeadOcean. One key does search and enrich, and Agency is $497 a month flat.
  • Reps who prospect and enrich: Apollo, or Lusha for the HubSpot app with duplicate checks.
  • RevOps who design the logic: Clay, if you accept two meters.
  • Enterprise with a budget: ZoomInfo, after you read the platform price from sales.
  • Under 1,000 records, once: LeadOcean Free covers it with no card.

Verdict

For a HubSpot admin with no code, the native app wins on effort: use it first, and expect to hit the business-email and 100-record limits. For phones and emails from several sources without code, FullEnrich is the cleanest add-on. For reps, Lusha has the best dedupe controls and Apollo has the best free start. For volume through an API or an agent, LeadOcean wins on price, at $97 on Solo and $497 on Agency, with the cost of building the mapping yourself.

FAQ

What is the best enrichment tool for HubSpot?

It depends on who runs it. HubSpot Data Enrichment is the best default with no code. For API volume and agents, LeadOcean. For no-code phones and emails from several sources, FullEnrich.

Does HubSpot enrich contacts for free?

HubSpot says data enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits. It is available from Starter hubs up, so you pay for the plan, not per record (HubSpot docs, October 2026).

How do I avoid duplicates when I enrich HubSpot contacts?

Match on email for contacts and on domain for companies, because HubSpot dedupes on those (HubSpot docs, October 2026). In an API script, upsert with idProperty set to email. That updates the contact instead of creating a second one.

Will enrichment overwrite what my reps typed?

HubSpot's automatic enrichment does not overwrite user values. With an API script, write to separate custom properties, then decide in HubSpot what to copy across.

How much does it cost to enrich 10,000 HubSpot contacts?

At monthly list prices: HubSpot, the plan fee. LeadOcean Solo, $97. Apollo, $260 on 4 Basic seats. FullEnrich, $499. Clay, about $350 on our arithmetic. ZoomInfo GTM AI, $3,800 at the $0.38 tier.

Can an AI agent enrich HubSpot records?

Yes, through an MCP server. LeadOcean has 13 tools, including free count tools, and Apollo, Clay, FullEnrich, Lusha and ZoomInfo also run MCP servers. Keep the agent on approval for any action that spends credits.
