6 Best Enrichment Tools for Pipedrive in 2026 (Compared)

Native apps against API, field mapping, dedupe and what 10,000 records cost. Ranked for the buyer who fills Pipedrive in volume and for the rep who wants a button.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

A Pipedrive enrichment tool fills the missing email, phone, title and company fields on your persons and organizations. Anyone whose reps leave half-empty records needs one, and so does anyone importing lists faster than they can clean them.

Pipedrive has its own Data enrichment, powered by Surfe, on Premium, Ultimate and Enterprise plans. Person enrichment on Premium needs an add-on, and it fills only empty fields (Pipedrive support, October 2026). The older Smart Contact Data closed to new customers on 22 August 2025 (Pipedrive support, October 2026). On lower plans, or at volume, you pick a vendor. The real split is native app against API. An app is a button for one rep. An API is a script for ten thousand rows.

We ranked six: LeadOcean, Apollo, Lusha, Clay, FullEnrich and Hunter. For more options, read 8 Pipedrive enrichment tools that keep your pipeline clean.

What we evaluated

  • Pipedrive path. Native app, automation template or API only. Whether it updates existing persons or only creates new ones.
  • Field mapping and dedupe. What lands in which Pipedrive field, and what stops duplicate persons.
  • Cost per 10,000 records. List price, monthly billing first, billed-yearly figure after it. We label any arithmetic as arithmetic.
  • API, MCP and rate limit. Whether a script or an agent can call it, and how fast.
  • Honest gaps. What each tool does not do, from its own docs.

1. LeadOcean: best for API and volume into Pipedrive

LeadOcean ranks first only if you push data through code. It is a people and company data API with 693M people and 67M companies, plus a hosted MCP server with 13 tools. It has no Pipedrive app, no sync and no Chrome extension. You write to Pipedrive yourself, or run it from n8n or Make.

The Pipedrive match is simple. POST /v1/people/enrich takes the email already on the Pipedrive person and returns the profile, phones and career history. POST /v1/companies/enrich takes the organization's domain. A person we hold nothing for is a 404 and costs nothing. Every address carries an email_status, so you can write only verified ones.

Cost is flat per plan. A record is one person or company you receive, and paid plans have a fair-use pace, not credits. Solo gives 10k enrichments every 5 hours. Agency allows 1M enrichments a day, raisable, at 200 requests a second.

Pros

  • One endpoint call per person, keyed by email, LinkedIn URL, phone or person_id.
  • Free sizing: GET /v1/companies/count and the MCP count tools cost nothing.
  • Misses are free: a 404 on enrich is not billed.
  • Bulk CSV export from the app or POST /v1/exports, on Solo and up.
  • No per-record price. Agency is $497 a month at any volume inside fair use.

Cons

  • No Pipedrive connector. You own the write-back and the dedupe key.
  • No rep workspace, sequencer, dialer or CRM.
  • Bulk CSV export is not on Free.

Best for: RevOps and developers who backfill Pipedrive in bulk or let an agent do it.

Pricing: Free $0 for 1,000 records for life; Solo $97 a month; Agency $497 a month; Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. Apollo: best for reps who want a native two-way sync

apollo homepage

Apollo has a Pipedrive app that syncs contacts and accounts both ways, in real time. You can sync automatically as leads move through the pipeline, or push chosen contacts by hand (Pipedrive blog, September 2026). Pipedrive's page does not list fields or say how duplicates are handled, so test that on a copy.

Apollo's cost is per seat. An email costs 1 credit and a phone costs 8. Credits are pooled across the team and expire each billing cycle. Every plan has API access, and Apollo runs an official MCP server.

Pros

Cons

  • Seat pricing makes volume expensive. Credits do not roll over.
  • Phones cost 8 credits each.
  • Price per extra credit is not public.
  • Dedupe and field mapping are not documented on Pipedrive's page.

Best for: Sales teams that prospect and sequence in Apollo and want Pipedrive kept in step.

Pricing: Basic $65 a seat a month with 2,500 credits ($49 billed yearly); Professional $99 with 4,000; Organization $149 with 6,000 (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Arithmetic, not a quote: 10,000 email credits is 4 Basic seats, $260 a month.

3. Lusha: best for one-click contact export

lusha homepage

Lusha pushes contacts you reveal in Lusha into Pipedrive, one way. Exports up to 25 contacts run in real time. Larger ones run in the background, up to 1,000 contacts per job (Lusha docs, September 2026).

Default mapping is simple: full name, emails and phones to the person, company name and street to the organization. You can add fixed-value fields and conditional mappings. The docs describe no automatic dedupe. "Allow Override" updates existing records, so turn it on with care. A Pipedrive admin must activate it.

Pros

  • Clear default field mapping, extendable with fixed values.
  • Background jobs up to 1,000 contacts.
  • A Pipedrive admin can restrict users to existing accounts only.
  • MCP server with 50 tools on the shared credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026).

Cons

  • One way only: Lusha to Pipedrive.
  • Credits: an email is 1, a phone is 5, and a single API request with both is 7.
  • The top public tier is 10,000 credits a month. Scale is custom.
  • API rate limits are per minute and per day: Pro is 50 a minute and 1,500 a day.

Best for: Reps who find a person in the browser and want the record in Pipedrive now.

Pricing: Starter $49.90 a month for 400 credits ($37.45 billed yearly); Pro $69.90 for 600; Premium $399.90 for 3,400 (Lusha pricing, September 2026). 10,000 emails exceed the credits in Premium's monthly base, so expect the top public step, $977.40 for 10,000 credits.

4. Clay: best for waterfalls with a native connection

clay homepage

Clay is a table you build enrichment in. Its native Pipedrive integration looks up, creates and updates people and organizations over OAuth, and custom Pipedrive fields are reachable (Clay University, September 2026). That makes it the only tool here that reads existing Pipedrive rows, enriches them in a table and writes back.

You pay in Actions and Data Credits. A fully enriched record usually costs 6 to 20 Data Credits plus one Action per enrichment (Clay pricing, September 2026). An enrichment that finds nothing is not charged. Build time is the real cost.

Pros

  • Reads, creates and updates Pipedrive people and organizations.
  • Waterfalls across many sources inside one table.
  • Misses are free: no result, no credits.
  • API on every plan, Free included.

Cons

  • Credit math is hard to forecast. Phone cost is not on the pricing page.
  • No self-serve tier reaches 1M lookups. The top is 200,000 Actions a month.
  • The HTTP API column needs Growth.
  • Public API rate limit is per workspace and not published.

Best for: RevOps people who like building tables and want waterfalls without code.

Pricing: Launch $185 a month ($167 billed yearly); Growth $495 ($446 billed yearly) (Clay pricing, September 2026). Arithmetic, not a quote: at Clay's docs example of 0.5 Data Credit per email find, 10,000 emails is 5,000 credits, which fits Growth at $495. Clay also runs an MCP server for Claude, ChatGPT and other AI tools (Clay MCP, October 2026).

5. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles via automation

FullEnrich has no native Pipedrive app. Its Pipedrive path is a template: when a person is created in Pipedrive, find the verified email and phone, then update the same person (FullEnrich templates, September 2026). Its integrations page lists HubSpot, Zapier, Make, n8n and Clay (FullEnrich integrations, September 2026).

Adding a company domain field to Pipedrive persons helps match rates, per the Make template. Credits are clear: a work email is 1, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. Not found costs nothing. API, MCP and bulk CSV are on every plan.

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, with no charge for not found.
  • API, MCP and bulk CSV on every plan.
  • Credits roll over: 3 months on monthly plans, 12 on annual.
  • Update-in-place template for new Pipedrive persons.

Cons

  • No native Pipedrive app. You need Zapier or Make.
  • The API allows 60 calls a minute across enrich, reverse and search.
  • Mobiles cost 10 credits.
  • The top public monthly tier is 100,000 credits.

Best for: Teams that want high email and mobile find rates on new Pipedrive persons, triggered automatically.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits ($26 billed yearly). 10,000 credits is $499 a month (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

6. Hunter: best for finding work emails

Hunter has a native, free Pipedrive integration, but it pushes. Save an address from Domain Search or Email Finder and Hunter creates a Pipedrive contact. You connect with a personal Pipedrive API token and map Pipedrive fields to Hunter lead attributes (Hunter help, September 2026).

Leads that existed before you connected are not synced automatically. They need a manual Synchronize. The help pages describe exporting leads to Pipedrive, not enriching records already there. Hunter is an email tool, so expect no rich profile fields.

Pros

  • Native push with field mapping, free on all plans.
  • Choose when a lead is created in Pipedrive: on save, on send or by hand.
  • Cheapest published 1M price here: $6,900 on Data Platform (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).
  • MCP server on every plan.

Cons

  • Pushes new leads. It does not enrich existing Pipedrive persons.
  • Emails only. No phones or career history.
  • Monthly credits reset and do not carry over.
  • A rate-limited call returns 403, not 429.

Best for: Small teams that find work emails and want each saved lead created in Pipedrive.

Pricing: Starter $49 a month for 2,000 credits ($34 billed yearly); Growth $149 for 10,000 (Hunter pricing, September 2026). 10,000 emails fit Growth at $149 a month.

How to choose

  • A rep who prospects all day: Apollo for two-way sync, or Lusha for one-click export.
  • RevOps with a messy database: Clay, if you will build the table. Otherwise LeadOcean by script.
  • A developer or an agent filling Pipedrive in bulk: LeadOcean. Flat plan, free misses, free sizing.
  • New persons arriving from forms: FullEnrich through Zapier or Make, or LeadOcean from n8n.
  • Email only, small list: Hunter.

Whatever you pick, set the rules before you write. Store the vendor's person id in a Pipedrive custom field. Write to empty fields by default. Copy the old email into a field before you overwrite it.

The LeadOcean to Pipedrive recipe

Fetch by the email on the Pipedrive person. Write only a verified address. Pipedrive's v2 Persons API updates a person with PATCH /api/v2/persons/{id}, and the body takes emails and phones arrays with a value and a primary flag (Pipedrive docs, October 2026).

python
import os, requests

LO = {"x-api-key": os.environ["LEADOCEAN_API_KEY"]}
PD = f"https://{os.environ['PIPEDRIVE_DOMAIN']}.pipedrive.com/api/v2/persons"
PD_HEADERS = {"x-api-token": os.environ["PIPEDRIVE_API_TOKEN"]}

def fill(pd_id, email):
    r = requests.post("https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich", headers=LO,
                      json={"email": email, "reveal_email": True})
    if r.status_code == 404:
        return "no match, no charge"
    r.raise_for_status()
    contact = r.json()["data"]["contact_data"]
    good = [e for e in contact.get("contact_emails", []) if e.get("status") == "verified"]
    body = {}
    if good:
        body["emails"] = [{"value": good[0]["email"], "primary": True}]
    if body:
        return requests.patch(f"{PD}/{pd_id}", headers=PD_HEADERS, json=body).status_code
    return "nothing to write"

Run 100 persons first and check 20 by hand. For more Pipedrive tools, see 8 Pipedrive enrichment tools. If you want to know when a waterfall beats a single source, read what is waterfall enrichment. The basics are in the enrichment glossary entry.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for anyone who fills Pipedrive through code or an agent, because a flat plan, free sizing and free misses beat per-seat or per-credit math at 10,000 rows and above. Apollo wins for reps who want a native two-way sync and will live in Apollo. Lusha wins for one-click export from the browser. Clay wins for operators who will build waterfall tables and need to read existing Pipedrive rows. FullEnrich wins for hands-off enrichment of new persons through Zapier or Make. Hunter wins for a small team that only needs work emails. See pricing for the LeadOcean plans.

FAQ

Is there a native Pipedrive enrichment tool?

Yes, on Premium, Ultimate and Enterprise plans. Pipedrive's Data enrichment is powered by Surfe, needs an add-on for person enrichment on Premium, and fills only empty fields (Pipedrive support, October 2026). On other plans, use a vendor app or an API.

Which tool updates existing Pipedrive persons?

Apollo syncs both ways, and Clay can look up and update. Lusha can override existing records on export. Hunter pushes new leads, per its help pages. LeadOcean updates whatever your script patches.

How do I avoid duplicate persons?

Pick one key and keep it. Store the vendor's person id in a Pipedrive custom field, and skip any row that has it. Lusha and Pipedrive's Apollo page do not document automatic dedupe.

What does 10,000 records cost?

At list, monthly billing, from the arithmetic above: LeadOcean Solo $97, Hunter Growth $149, Apollo $260, FullEnrich $499 and Clay about $495. Lusha exceeds its monthly base tier. Lusha, Apollo and Clay bill credits that reset or expire.

Can I enrich Pipedrive without code?

Yes. Use Apollo, Lusha or Clay with their Pipedrive connections, or FullEnrich through Zapier or Make. LeadOcean needs a script, n8n or Make.

Do I need a phone number too?

Only if reps call. Phones cost more: 8 credits at Apollo, 5 at Lusha, 10 at FullEnrich. LeadOcean phones come from GET /v2/people/phone on any plan.
