Best lead generation schedulers

6 Best Lead Generation Schedulers in 2026 (Compared)

Chili Piper, Calendly, Default, Cal.com, SavvyCal and the data layer that feeds them, with real list prices.

A lead generation scheduler turns a form fill, a chat or an email reply into a booked meeting, and sends the lead to the right rep. If your inbound leads wait hours for a reply, you need one. The six tools below cover the range: enterprise routing, plain booking links, open source and the data layer that sits in front of all of them.

Most teams leave a scheduler for one of three reasons. Price jumps: Chili Piper starts at $15,000 a year. Missing routing: Calendly gates lead routing behind its Teams plan. Or missing data: a form with ten fields converts worse than a form with two, and the other eight fields have to come from somewhere. That last gap is a data problem, not a calendar problem. Read the outbound lead generation and lead generation funnel glossary pages if the terms are new.

What we evaluated

  • Routing: can it send a lead to the right rep by territory, account owner or round robin?
  • Lead capture: does it book from a web form, a chat or an email, not just a shared link?
  • API and MCP: can a developer or an AI agent create bookings and read availability?
  • Price shape: per seat, per platform or per record, with the monthly list price first and the billed-yearly figure after it.
  • Data dependency: does it enrich the lead itself, or does it need data from somewhere else?

1. Chili Piper: best for enterprise inbound routing

Chili Piper is the category's biggest name and it is priced like it. The Routing and Scheduling plan starts at $1,250 a month, which is $15,000 a year, with 15 seats included and $45 per extra seat a month. It books a meeting straight from a web form. It routes by round robin, territory or Salesforce object, and hands a lead from an SDR to an AE live.

The Experiences plan adds AI chat, account identification and ABM targeting, from $3,500 a month with 30 seats. Both plans include AI credits for enrichment, 45,000 a year on the first and 150,000 on the second. Every seat includes ChiliCal, a plain scheduling link. A standalone ChiliCal is $12 a user a month with a 200-seat minimum.

Chili Piper does enrich forms, but through credits and connected providers such as Clay, Apollo, ZoomInfo and Lusha. Its pricing page also lists an MCP server and an Edge API among its AI agent features.

Pros

  • Routes any Salesforce object, standard or custom
  • Live handoff between SDRs and AEs
  • Form shortening with enrichment data
  • Funnel analytics built in

Cons

  • Starts at $15,000 a year
  • Priced as a yearly contract, not a monthly plan
  • Overkill for teams under about 10 reps

Best for: Revenue teams with a high inbound volume and Salesforce as the system of record.

Pricing: Routing and Scheduling $1,250 a month (billed as $15,000 a year), Experiences $3,500 a month. MCP and Edge API are listed on the same page. Chili Piper pricing, October 2026.

Calendly is the default scheduler and the cheapest way to start. The Free plan gives you one event type and one calendar. Standard is $10 a seat a month billed yearly, marked "Save 17%" against monthly billing. Teams is $16 a seat a month billed yearly, marked "Save 20%".

Lead routing is the catch. Round robin, team scheduling and "qualify, route, and schedule leads" sit on Teams. Routing with a Salesforce lookup and Dynamics sit on Enterprise, which starts at $15,000 a year for 50 seats. You also pay per seat, though invitees do not need one.

The developer side is solid. Calendly has a REST API v2, webhooks and a documented MCP server, so an agent can read availability and book through conversation.

Pros

  • Free plan and a clear self-serve price ladder
  • REST API v2, webhooks and a Calendly MCP server
  • HubSpot, Marketo and Pardot form connections on Teams
  • Invitees never need an account or a seat

Cons

  • Lead routing needs Teams at $16 a seat a month billed yearly
  • Salesforce lookup routing needs Enterprise
  • Per-seat pricing climbs with every SDR you add

Best for: Small sales teams that want booking links now and routing later.

Pricing: Free; Standard $10 a seat a month billed yearly; Teams $16 billed yearly; Enterprise from $15,000 a year. Calendly pricing, September 2026. API and MCP: Calendly developer docs, September 2026.

3. Default: best for routing, scheduling and enrichment in one contract

Default bundles forms, routing, scheduling and enrichment into a flat platform fee. Growth is $12,000 a year and Enterprise is $25,000 a year. Seats are extra: a Routing and Scheduling seat is $540 per user per year and a Scheduling-only seat is $240.

The enrichment is a waterfall across providers such as Apollo.io, Clearbit and People Data Labs. Growth includes 24,000 credits a year, where a credit is one call to one provider. Extra credits cost $0.10 each. That is the line to watch if your inbound volume is high.

Default also ships a Chrome extension for reps, which matters if your SDRs book from inside other tools. Its pricing page mentions routing signups by API or webhook. A public developer API or MCP server is not listed on its pricing page or docs home (October 2026).

Pros

  • Routing, scheduling and enrichment under one contract
  • Flat platform fee with unlimited workflows
  • Cheaper seat price than Chili Piper for scheduling-only users

Cons

  • Enrichment depends on third-party providers and credits
  • Extra credits at $0.10 each add up fast at volume
  • No public developer API or MCP server listed

Best for: RevOps teams that want to replace a router, a scheduler and an enrichment tool with one vendor.

Pricing: Growth $12,000 a year, Enterprise $25,000 a year, seats from $240 per user per year. Default pricing, October 2026. API and MCP: none listed on docs.default.com, October 2026.

4. Cal.com: best for open source and API-first scheduling

Cal.com is the open source Calendly alternative. The individual plan is free forever with unlimited event types and calendars. Teams is $12 per user a month billed yearly, and it adds round robin, routing forms and booking analytics.

The Organizations plan is $28 per user a month billed yearly. It adds sub-teams, routing by custom variables, SAML SSO and instant meetings. Enterprise is custom.

Developers get the most from Cal.com. It ships API v2 with OAuth and API keys, embeds, webhooks, React scheduling components and a hosted MCP server. You can also self-host it. Its routing is less deep than Chili Piper for Salesforce objects, so it fits product-led and developer teams better than a large inbound floor.

Pros

  • Free forever for individuals, no usage limits
  • Public API v2, OAuth, webhooks, embeds and an MCP server
  • Routing forms from the Teams plan
  • Self-hosting is possible

Cons

  • No enrichment or lead data of its own
  • Fewer CRM routing options than Chili Piper
  • Per-user pricing, so cost grows with headcount

Best for: Developers and product-led teams who want scheduling inside their own app.

Pricing: Free; Teams $12 per user a month billed yearly; Organizations $28 billed yearly. Cal.com pricing, September 2026. API: Cal.com API v2 docs, September 2026. MCP: a hosted server at mcp.cal.com with OAuth 2.1, or a local one with an API key. Cal.com MCP docs, October 2026.

5. SavvyCal: best for a clean booking page for individuals

SavvyCal is a booking tool that lets invitees overlay their own calendar. Basic is $10 per user a month billed annually, or $12 billed monthly. Premium is $17 billed annually, or $20 billed monthly, and adds custom domains, removes branding and takes payments through Stripe.

It does not do lead routing in the Chili Piper sense. It does round robin, collective and group modes, workflows, CRM integrations and Zapier. The pricing page also says AI assistants can connect over MCP, so Claude or ChatGPT can find times and book from a chat.

SavvyCal suits a founder or consultant, not an inbound team with territory rules.

Pros

  • Monthly and annual prices both printed on the page
  • MCP access for AI assistants on every plan
  • API and webhooks on both plans
  • 30-day money-back guarantee

Cons

  • No form-to-meeting lead routing
  • No enrichment
  • Custom domain and branding removal need Premium

Best for: Founders, consultants and small teams who care about invitee experience.

Pricing: Basic $12 a user a month ($10 billed annually); Premium $20 a month ($17 billed annually). SavvyCal pricing, September 2026.

6. LeadOcean: best for the lead data behind the scheduler

LeadOcean is not a scheduler. It has no booking page, no calendar and no routing. We rank it last because every scheduler above needs lead data to be useful. LeadOcean sells that: 693M people, 67M companies, an API and a hosted MCP server with 13 tools.

The use is simple. Fill the form fields a visitor never typed, size a territory before you write routing rules, or build the target list your SDRs book meetings with. The leadocean_count_companies tool and GET /v1/companies/count size a company list for free. A search call looks like this:

bash
curl -X POST https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"title": ["VP Sales"], "country": ["US"], "limit": 25}'

Paid plans use a fair-use pace, not credits. Search pages to 10,000 rows, and bulk CSV export is not on Free. See /pricing for the plan limits, and predictive lead generation for how teams score the list before booking.

Pros

  • 693M people and 67M companies behind one API
  • Free sizing calls: counts cost nothing
  • 13 MCP tools, OAuth sign-in, no key pasted
  • Flat paid plans, no per-record price

Cons

  • Not a scheduler: no booking page, calendar or routing
  • No rep workspace, sequencer, dialer or CRM
  • Bulk CSV export is not on Free

Best for: Teams who need the lead data and the target list that feeds a scheduler.

Pricing: Free $0 (1,000 records for life, no card), Solo $97 a month, Agency $497 a month, Platform $1,997 a month. LeadOcean pricing, October 2026.

How to choose

  • Enterprise inbound team on Salesforce: Chili Piper. You pay for the routing depth.
  • Small team, wants links today: Calendly. Move to Teams when you need round robin.
  • RevOps replacing three tools: Default, if you accept the credit-based enrichment.
  • Developer or product-led team: Cal.com, self-hosted or cloud.
  • Founder or consultant: SavvyCal.
  • You need the leads, not the calendar: LeadOcean, in front of any of the above.

Verdict

Chili Piper wins for large inbound teams that live in Salesforce and can spend $15,000 a year. Calendly wins for most small teams, because the price ladder is clear and the API and MCP server are public. Default wins for RevOps teams that want one contract. Cal.com wins for developers, and SavvyCal wins for solo operators. None of them sells you the lead. Pair whichever you pick with LeadOcean if you pull data through an API or an agent, and start free.

FAQ

What is a lead generation scheduler?

It is software that books a meeting from a lead source such as a web form, a chat or an email, and routes the lead to the right rep. A plain booking link is the simplest version. Routing and enrichment are what separate the enterprise tools.

Do I need a scheduler if I do outbound?

Often yes. A booking link in your cold email shortens the reply to a single click. Outbound still needs a list first, which is a data problem.

Which scheduler has the cheapest paid plan?

SavvyCal and Calendly both start near $10 a seat a month billed yearly. Cal.com Teams is $12 per user a month billed yearly. Chili Piper and Default are platform contracts from $12,000 a year.

Which schedulers work with AI agents?

Calendly and Cal.com document MCP servers, SavvyCal says AI assistants connect over MCP, and Chili Piper lists MCP on its pricing page. Default lists none on the pages we read.

Can LeadOcean book meetings?

No. LeadOcean is a people and company data API with an MCP server. It supplies the data that fills forms and builds target lists. Use a scheduler from this list for the booking.

How much does LeadOcean cost?

Free is $0 with 1,000 records for life and no card. Solo is $97 a month, Agency is $497 a month and Platform is $1,997 a month. See /pricing.
