MCP servers for recruiting

7 Best MCP Servers for Recruiting and Talent Teams (2026)

Seven hosted MCP servers that let an AI agent find and enrich people for recruiting, ranked on tools, sign-in, limits and the cost of 1M records a month.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

A recruiting MCP server is a hosted endpoint that lets an AI assistant search people, read their work history and fetch contact details through tool calls. Sourcers, talent teams and the builders of recruiting tools need one.

This page covers data servers, the layer that finds and enriches candidates. ATS and interview-notes servers are a different job. The ranking page we read (Crustdata, September 2026) mixes both and gives no cost at volume. Most vendors below publish no 1M price, so we show the credit arithmetic and say when there is no public number.

We also ran one real test: free counts on LeadOcean's own index. Head-to-head pages: Crustdata, Coresignal, ContactOut, RocketReach, Apollo and Lusha.

"1M records" means 1M work-email lookups that return a result. Credits per lookup differ by vendor. Figures are list prices.

What we evaluated

  • Candidate data over MCP: the server returns profiles, titles and work history to the agent, not only documentation.
  • Contact reach: emails and phones in the same server, and what each one costs.
  • Auth and plan gate: OAuth or key, and which plan opens the server.
  • Limits that bite: rate limits, expiring credits and enterprise-only endpoints.
  • Cost at 1M: the list price of 1M lookups, or a plain "no public price".

We gave each vendor the same jobs on paper: size a list, search it, read one profile, then price 1M lookups. Answers come from each vendor's pricing page and docs, read in September 2026. We ran no live find-rate test on other vendors, so accuracy claims are theirs.

1. LeadOcean: best for agents and volume

LeadOcean's MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1, so no key is pasted into the client. It has 13 tools, from search_leads and get_lead to find_phone and export_leads, over 693M people and 67M companies (LeadOcean docs, October 2026).

Our test: we ran leadocean_count_leads, which spends no records, on 21 October 2026. Title "Technical Recruiter", worldwide, matched 45,699 people with a mailable email (verified, catch_all_valid or catch_all), out of 178,010 with no email filter. In the UK the same title gave 507 mailable of 2,590. Title "Head of Talent Acquisition" in the US gave 1,337 mailable of 2,434. These size the people who run hiring. They are not a candidate pool.

For candidates, person enrich now returns career history: past roles, education, certifications and awards. Past employers carry no company id yet. Filters cover title, profile keywords, education, seniority and job function.

Pros

  • MCP on every plan, Free included.
  • Free counts for people and companies before any spend.
  • One search pages to 10,000 rows, then asks you to narrow.
  • Email status on every record, so you read it before you send.

Cons

  • No ATS write-back, sequencer, dialer, CRM or browser extension.
  • No candidate resume upload or interview-notes layer.
  • Bulk CSV export is not on Free.

Best for: sourcing agents, recruiting-tool builders and agencies that need volume and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Solo $97 and Agency $497 a month, Agency at 200 requests a second (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. Crustdata: best for live profiles and job-change watchers

crustdata homepage

Crustdata's hosted server is at https://install.crustdata.com/mcp. Interactive clients sign in with OAuth, and code uses an API key as a bearer token (Crustdata docs, September 2026).

Its edge for recruiting is watchers. A person watcher flags a changed profile at 5 credits per changed person on the 30-day SLA, and 150 at the 1-day SLA (Crustdata docs, September 2026). A static database cannot do that.

Search is 0.03 credits a result. Person enrich is 1 to 7 credits, and a work email through it is 2 credits. The pricing page lists no dollar price, so you cannot cost 1M without a quote (Crustdata pricing, September 2026).

Pros

  • OAuth for clients, API key for code.
  • Change watchers for job moves.
  • Cheap search at 0.03 credits a result.

Cons

  • No public dollar price per credit or plan list.
  • Default limits are 15 requests a minute on enrich and 30 on search (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
  • The 1-credit contact endpoint is enterprise only. The docs say credits expire 12 months after purchase, and a July 2026 company blog post says 6, so confirm the term in your dashboard (Crustdata credits, September 2026).

Best for: recruiting-tool builders who need fresh profiles and move alerts more than volume.

Pricing: Credit based. The pricing page lists no plans, no dollar prices and no price per credit (Crustdata pricing, September 2026).

3. Coresignal: best for work history and job-posting data

coresignal homepage

Coresignal's MCP server at https://mcp.coresignal.com/mcp/v2 signs in with OAuth 2.1 and has 5 tools. The docs name no plan restriction, and the free trial's 2,000 credits work with it (Coresignal MCP docs, September 2026).

The data side is large: the homepage claims 907M+ employee records and 482M+ job postings (Coresignal, September 2026). That suits a team that needs structured work history or hiring signals. Email is a thin spot. The server's email_enrich excludes EEA and UK employees.

Cost is per call. An MCP search is 20 credits, a fetched employee record 20 and an email found 20. The pricing page and the server's own tool text bill 20 credits per email found, while the MCP docs page still lists 10 (Coresignal pricing, September 2026). We use 20.

Pros

  • Large employee and job-posting data.
  • OAuth 2.1 and a free trial that works with MCP.
  • Plans up to 10,000,000 credits are public.

Cons

  • Trial credits last 7 days and do not carry to a paid plan.
  • Rate limit is 5 requests a second on Free, Mini and Starter (Coresignal docs, September 2026).
  • No public 1M price. 1M emails at 20 credits is 20,000,000 credits, and the top plan holds 10,000,000.

Best for: teams that analyse work history and hiring signals more than they email candidates.

Pricing: Mini $49, Starter $199, Pro $499, Growth $1,000 a month. Elite is $5,000 for 10,000,000 credits (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

4. ContactOut: best for recruiters who want emails and phones fast

contactout homepage

ContactOut is a recruiter favourite for personal and work contact details. Its MCP page shows 15 tools and 600+ free credits at onboarding (ContactOut MCP, September 2026).

Self-serve plans are priced for one person. Email is $49 a month and Email plus Phone is $99, with a "1 user per company" limit on every plan (ContactOut pricing, September 2026). The terms apply fair use of 2,000 email credits and 1,000 phone credits per account a month (ContactOut terms, September 2026).

API keys come from a sales meeting, and the Team / API plan shows no price (ContactOut API docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Email and phone in one server.
  • A free plan: 5 emails, 5 phones and 5 exports a day.
  • API limits of 1,000 requests a minute on most endpoints.

Cons

  • One user per company on self-serve plans.
  • Fair use caps unlimited at 2,000 emails per account.
  • No public API price. People Search is 60 requests a minute.

Best for: solo recruiters and small agencies that need contact details, not volume.

Pricing: Email $49 a month, $39 billed yearly. Email plus Phone $99 a month, $79 billed yearly (ContactOut pricing, September 2026).

5. RocketReach: best for broad lookups with an API

RocketReach runs an MCP server at mcp.rocketreach.co/mcp with OAuth 2.1 and PKCE. It has 9 tools: person and company search, lookups, email verify, account and status checks (RocketReach MCP docs, September 2026).

The meter is Universal Credits. A search page of up to 100 results is 1 credit, a verified professional email 2, a personal email 3 and a phone 6 (RocketReach docs, September 2026). No dollar price per credit is published.

The pricing page shows a bot check, so the monthly prices below are as reported by G2.

Pros

  • Verified email grading, with no charge on grade B or F results.
  • Re-lookups of the same profile are free while the plan is active.
  • Person, company and verify tools in one server.

Cons

  • API access is set up through the API team, not a checkbox.
  • Global limit is 10 requests a second (RocketReach rate limits, September 2026).
  • No public 1M price. The top person-lookup cap is 200,000 a month.

Best for: recruiters who want broad lookups and an API with a human setup step.

Pricing: Essentials $69, Pro $119, Ultimate $209 a month, reported by G2 (G2 RocketReach pricing, September 2026).

6. Apollo: best for recruiters who also sequence

apollo homepage

Apollo runs an official MCP server at https://mcp.apollo.io/mcp over Streamable HTTP. It uses OAuth 2.0, or an API key for headless clients, on any plan, Free included (Apollo developer docs, September 2026).

Through the server an agent can search, enrich and add contacts to sequences. For a recruiter who runs outreach in the same tool, that is the draw. The meter is seats plus credits, and credits are pooled by seat and expire each cycle.

At volume the seat model is the problem. Professional gives 4,000 credits per seat a month, so 1M email lookups mean 250 seats (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

Pros

  • MCP on every plan, no extra cost.
  • The agent can act: sequences, not only lookups.
  • Enrichment runs at 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans (Apollo rate limits, September 2026).

Cons

  • Built around a sales workspace. Its filters are business-buyer oriented.
  • Credits are pooled by seat and expire at the end of the cycle.
  • Seat arithmetic makes 1M lookups very expensive.

Best for: recruiters and agencies that prospect clients and send from one workspace.

Pricing: Free with 75 credits a month. Basic $65, Professional $99, Organization $149 per seat a month. Billed yearly: $49, $79, $119 (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

7. Lusha: best for browser-first sourcers

lusha homepage

Lusha's MCP server at https://mcp.lusha.com has 50 tools and shares the REST API credit pool (Lusha MCP tools, September 2026). Every user gets an API key on every plan, Free included.

Data Waterfall is on paid plans for API and MCP. It costs 2 credits per work email and 8 per phone, only on a match. Lusha's docs disagree on whether a miss costs a credit, so test one miss before a large run.

Plans are built for seats. Per-key quotas are small: Pro is 50 requests a minute and Premium 300 (Lusha API guide, September 2026).

Pros

  • 50 MCP tools on one credit pool.
  • A free plan with an API key.
  • Waterfall for emails and phones on paid plans.

Cons

  • The top public tier holds 10,000 credits a month.
  • Small per-key quotas.
  • No public 1M price.

Best for: sourcers who work in the browser and want an MCP server on top.

Pricing: Free is 40 credits a month. Starter $49.90, Pro $69.90, Premium $399.90 a month. Billed yearly: $37.45, $52.45, $299.95 (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

Verdict

The best MCP server for recruiting depends on the job. For an agent that sources or enriches at volume, LeadOcean wins: Agency stays $497 a month, counts are free and MCP is on every plan. Crustdata wins on live profiles and move alerts, and Coresignal on work history and job data. ContactOut suits a solo recruiter who needs contact details. Apollo wins when outreach lives in the same tool, RocketReach fits broad lookups, and Lusha fits browser-first sourcers. Start on the free plan.
