7 Best Phone Number Finder Tools in 2026 (Compared)

Seven tools that return a direct dial or mobile number for a B2B contact, compared on what a phone costs, the API, MCP and rate limits.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

A phone number finder takes a name, a LinkedIn URL or an email and returns a direct dial or mobile number for that person. Developers, RevOps teams and agent builders need one when a sequence is not enough and a rep has to call.

The tools differ most on what a phone costs. Most price a mobile at 5 to 10 times an email, and several cap API calls per hour. We compared the published pricing, API and MCP docs of each tool in September 2026. We did not run a hit-rate test, so no tool below has a find rate we measured. If you want to compare a vendor to LeadOcean one to one, read FullEnrich, Lusha, Kaspr, ContactOut, RocketReach and Prospeo against LeadOcean on their own pages.

What we evaluated

  • Cost of one phone. The credits or dollars a mobile number costs, and whether a miss is charged.
  • API access. Whether a key exists on the cheap plans and which input it takes: LinkedIn URL, email, name or ID.
  • MCP. Whether an agent can call the tool, and how many tools the server exposes.
  • Rate limits. Requests per second or per hour, because they set how fast a phone batch can run.
  • Volume. What the cost looks like at 1M records a month, using only published prices.

1. LeadOcean: best for phone lookups through an API or an agent

LeadOcean is a data API and a hosted MCP server. It holds 693M people, and 166M of them have a phone number. You call GET /v2/people/phone with a person, or use the find_phone tool over MCP, and you get the number back (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

The price model is a flat monthly fee, not a credit table. Phones, bulk CSV export and every endpoint are on every paid plan. Free gives you 1,000 records for life with no card and 5 requests a second. Solo is $97 a month at 50 requests a second. Agency is $497 a month at 200 requests a second, with 5 keys.

LeadOcean is not a rep tool. There is no dialer, sequencer, CRM or Chrome extension. The app at app.leadocean.io has an Exports page with a filter builder, a column picker, a price preview and a CSV download. That is the whole interface.

Pros

  • Phones are included on Solo and Agency, with no per-phone credit.
  • 13 MCP tools, including find_phone, over OAuth with no key pasted.
  • 200 requests a second on Agency and 10,000 a second on Platform.
  • A free sizing call (leadocean_count_leads) shows how many people match before you spend a record.

Cons

  • A v2 contact call that finds nothing still costs one record.
  • No browser extension, dialer or CRM for reps.
  • Bulk CSV export is not on Free.

Best for: developers, agent builders and RevOps teams that pull phones in code or at volume.

Pricing: Free $0, Solo $97, Agency $497, Platform $1,997 a month (LeadOcean pricing, October 2026).

2. FullEnrich: best for waterfall enrichment

FullEnrich runs a lookup across 25+ data sources and returns the first match it can verify. Its pricing page lists search access to 800M people and 50M companies (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). API, MCP, search and bulk CSV are on every plan, including the free trial.

A mobile costs 10 credits. A work email costs 1 credit and a personal email 3. A lookup that finds nothing, or returns a landline, costs 0 (FullEnrich credit docs, September 2026). Like Prospeo and RocketReach, FullEnrich does not charge for a miss.

The ceiling is the rate limit. The API allows 60 calls a minute across Enrich, Reverse Email and Search, with up to 100 contacts per bulk request (FullEnrich volume docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • No charge when a lookup finds nothing.
  • API and MCP on every plan, including the free trial.
  • Unused credits roll over 3 months on monthly plans.

Cons

  • 10 credits per mobile means the $29 plan (500 credits) buys 50 mobiles a month.
  • 60 API calls a minute is slow for a large batch without bulk requests.
  • Monthly tiers stop at 100,000 credits ($3,500), then it is sales.

Best for: teams that want one lookup to try many sources and pay only for a match.

Pricing: Pro starts at $29 a month for 500 credits, $26 a month billed yearly. Free trial is 50 credits (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

3. Lusha: best for reps who want an extension and an API

lusha homepage

Lusha sells credits per user and puts a browser extension in front of most of them. A phone number costs 5 credits and an email 1. Email plus phone is 7 credits through a single API request (Lusha API guide, September 2026).

Every plan has an API key, including Free, which gives 40 credits a month. Starter is $49.90 a month for 400 credits, so about 80 phone numbers. The MCP server has 50 tools and draws on the same credit pool as the REST API (Lusha MCP tools, September 2026).

Rate limits depend on the plan. Premium allows 300 requests a minute and 18,000 a day. Lusha's docs also state a 25 requests a second default, so check which applies to your key.

Pros

  • A browser extension and an API on the same credit pool.
  • A 50-tool MCP server.
  • A Data Waterfall option on every paid plan, 8 credits per phone on a match.

Cons

  • 5 credits per phone makes the cheap plans small for phone work.
  • Free and Starter cap the API at 100 requests a day.
  • Whether a no-match API request is charged differs between Lusha's own docs (see Lusha billing FAQ).

Best for: sales reps and small teams that work in the browser and sometimes call an API.

Pricing: Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly), Pro $69.90 ($52.45), Premium $399.90 ($299.95). Scale is custom (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

4. Kaspr: best for LinkedIn-first lookups

Kaspr starts from a LinkedIn profile. Its API takes a LinkedIn profile URL, and each successful call spends one credit for the data type plus one export credit (Kaspr API help, September 2026). B2B emails are unlimited on paid plans under fair use. Phones are metered.

Starter is $65 per user a month with 100 phone credits. Business is $99 per user with 200. The API is available on request on paid plans, capped at 250 requests a day on Starter and 500 on Business (Kaspr pricing, September 2026). That cap is the real limit for any batch work.

The pricing page opens in euros by default, with a switcher for dollars and sterling. We list dollars here.

Pros

  • Unlimited B2B email credits on paid plans, under fair use.
  • Phone add-ons fall to $0.21 a credit in the largest pack.
  • Credits roll over and are shared across the account on paid plans.

Cons

  • API access is on request and not on Free.
  • 500 API requests a day on Business is about 15,000 a month.
  • No MCP server is listed on its pricing or API pages in September 2026.

Best for: individual reps who look up one LinkedIn profile at a time.

Pricing: Starter $65 per user a month, Business $99. Annual figures of $49 and $79 are in the page markup but not shown as purchasable (Kaspr pricing, September 2026).

5. ContactOut: best for recruiters and LinkedIn users

contactout homepage

ContactOut has the lowest-priced phone plan among the browser tools here. Email + Phone is $99 a month ($79 billed yearly) with unlimited phones. Fair use caps that at 1,000 phone credits a month per account (ContactOut pricing, September 2026; ContactOut terms, September 2026).

Self-serve plans list a limit of one user per company. API keys come from booking a meeting, and the API has no public price. Its API rate limits are 60 requests a minute for People Search and 1,000 a minute for the other APIs (ContactOut API, September 2026).

ContactOut also runs an MCP server with 15 tools (ContactOut MCP, September 2026). Coverage is claimed at 350M, 600M+ and 800M profiles on different pages, so treat none of them as settled.

Pros

  • Unlimited phones on Email + Phone, within a 1,000 a month fair use cap.
  • A 15-tool MCP server.
  • Regional plans for outside the US: Email + Phone at $49 a month, $39 billed yearly.

Cons

  • One user per company on self-serve plans.
  • The API has no public price and needs a meeting.
  • Coverage figures differ across its own pages.

Best for: recruiters and single sales users who work from LinkedIn.

Pricing: Email + Phone $99 a month ($79 billed yearly). Email only $49 ($39). Free is 5 phones a day (ContactOut pricing, September 2026).

6. RocketReach: best for a published credit table

RocketReach publishes what each action costs in Universal Credits. A phone is 6 credits, a professional email 2, a personal email 3. Nothing is charged when no data is found, and re-lookups of the same profile are free while the plan is active (RocketReach credit docs, September 2026).

Phone lookups start on the Pro plan, reported at $119 a month on monthly billing, with 250 exports a month (G2, September 2026). RocketReach's own pricing page showed a bot check on the day we looked, so these prices are reported by G2, not read first-party. We quote no annual prices.

The global API limit is 10 requests a second (RocketReach rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server exposes 9 tools over OAuth 2.1 (RocketReach MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • A clear credit table with phone and email prices per action.
  • No charge for a miss.
  • A 9-tool MCP server and a 10 requests a second API.

Cons

  • No public dollar price per credit or API plan price.
  • Monthly price figures come from G2 while the pricing page is blocked.
  • Exports are low on the monthly plans: 250 on Pro.

Best for: teams that want to estimate credit use from a published table.

Pricing: Essentials $69, Pro $119, Ultimate $209 a month on monthly billing, as reported by G2 (G2, September 2026).

7. Prospeo: best for small teams on per-seat plans

Prospeo sells per-seat plans with a shared credit pool. A mobile costs 10 credits and a verified email 1. A lookup with no result costs 0, and re-enriching a record within 90 days costs 0 (Prospeo credits, September 2026).

Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits, which is 200 mobiles. Growth is $99 for 5,000 and Pro is $249 for 15,000. The hosted MCP server has 8 tools and takes OAuth or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).

Enrich limits are 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth and 30 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). Credits expire at the end of each cycle.

Pros

  • Misses and repeat lookups cost nothing.
  • 8-tool hosted MCP server with OAuth.
  • Pro allows 30 enrich requests a second.

Cons

  • 10 credits per mobile limits the cheap plans to a few hundred phones.
  • Credits expire at the end of the cycle.
  • No single tier reaches 1M credits a month.

Best for: small teams that want per-seat billing, an MCP server and no charge for misses.

Pricing: Starter $49 a month ($37 billed yearly), Growth $99 ($74), Pro $249 ($187) (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

Verdict

LeadOcean wins when the buyer is a developer, an agent or a RevOps team pulling phones at volume, because phones are flat-priced and the API runs at 200 requests a second. FullEnrich wins when you want a waterfall and a free miss. Lusha and Kaspr win for a rep with a browser. ContactOut wins for one recruiter. RocketReach suits a team that wants a credit table, and Prospeo suits a small team on per-seat plans. If none of them fits, see LeadOcean plans.

FAQ

What is a phone number finder?

A phone number finder returns a direct dial or mobile number for a B2B contact from a name, LinkedIn URL or email. Most tools meter phones separately from emails because phones cost more to source and verify.

Which tool has the cheapest phone number?

Among browser tools for one user, ContactOut's Email + Phone plan at $99 a month is the cheapest per phone, within a 1,000 phone fair use cap. For volume, LeadOcean's flat $497 Agency plan beats any per-credit tool in this list.

Do these tools have an API?

Yes, with limits. Lusha, FullEnrich and LeadOcean give API keys on every plan. Kaspr and ContactOut gate the API behind a request or a meeting.

Can an AI agent use them?

Yes. LeadOcean (13 tools), Lusha (50), ContactOut (15), RocketReach (9) and Prospeo (8) publish MCP servers, and FullEnrich lists MCP on every plan. We found no MCP server listed for Kaspr in September 2026.

How accurate are the phone numbers?

We did not run a hit-rate test, so we do not publish a find rate for any tool. Run 100 of your own contacts through the free plans before you buy.

Is there a free phone number finder?

Yes. LeadOcean's free plan gives 1,000 records for life with no card, and there is a free phone number finder tool.
