People leave Crustdata because the bill and the throughput are hard to plan. It sells credits, and its pricing page lists no plans, no prices and no price per credit (Crustdata pricing, September 2026). The docs say to confirm credit costs in your dashboard. A Crustdata blog post puts the lowest tier at $95 a month (Crustdata docs, September 2026; Crustdata blog, September 2026).
Limits bite next. Person enrich defaults to 15 requests a minute and search to 30 (Crustdata docs, September 2026). The contact endpoint that returns emails and phones needs an enterprise plan, and self-serve keys get a 403 (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
This page ranks seven Crustdata API alternatives for teams that pull data in code, through an agent or at volume. LeadOcean is first because it has one flat price and an MCP server that returns records. For a two-column view, see LeadOcean vs Crustdata.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | API, agent and volume buyers | Free (1,000 records, one-off). Pro $499 a month | $499 a month flat. Fair use applies |
| BlitzAPI | Flat-price search, jobs data and emails | Core $399 a month. Plus $499 adds verified emails | $499 on Plus for accounts opened by September 30, 2026, inside the 15M results a month launch-offer limit |
| Coresignal | Employee, company and job records at scale | Mini $49 a month for 2,500 credits | About $5,000 a month on Elite (10M credits), for 1M Base records |
| People Data Labs | Data licences and per-match enrichment | Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits | No public 1M price. Pro is about $0.20 to $0.28 a profile, and above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only |
| Explorium | Company breadth, events and intent | Lite $29.99 for 500 credits | About $30,000 at $0.015 a credit |

"1M records" here means 1M person records returned, at the vendor's base credit cost for a work email or base profile. Figures are list prices or list-rate arithmetic. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier. Enterprise quotes are lower, so ask each vendor at your volume.
What we evaluated
- API access: which plan opens it, the endpoints that return people and companies, and the default rate limit.
- MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
- Price model: flat, credits or packs, and what 1M records a month costs at list price.
- Data: stated coverage, email and phone fields, and whether jobs or signals data comes with it.
- Limits that bite: plan gates, expiring credits, rate caps and fair-use clauses.
We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers.
1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers
LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters. Counts are free.
The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads. Exports run up to 50,000 rows per request. Phones are GET /v2/people/phone. Every person or company returned counts as one record, and count_leads is free.
Pros
- Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter.
- REST and MCP on every plan, including Free.
- Email status on every record, from
verifiedtospam_trap. - 100 requests per second per key, against Crustdata's 15 and 30 a minute defaults.
- Free counts, and a miss on
POST /v1/people/enrichis a free 404.
Cons
- No live web fetch, job postings, social posts or change watchers. Crustdata has all four.
- A smaller people index: 693M against Crustdata's 1B.
- One dataset, so a niche source needs another tool.
Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume and a fixed bill.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
2. BlitzAPI: best for flat-price search and jobs data
BlitzAPI is the closest Crustdata rival on shape and the only one here with a flat price and a jobs dataset. It lists 550M+ profiles, 65M+ companies and 100M+ job postings, tied to LinkedIn profiles (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Hiring signals sit next to people and company search.
The plan ladder is where it gets fiddly. Core is $399 a month and leaves out emails and phones. Plus is $499 and adds verified work emails. Full is $599 and adds US phone numbers (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). The 45M+ phone numbers are US only.
Check two details before you commit. The 50 requests per second and the 15,000,000 results a month are a launch offer for accounts opened by September 30, 2026 (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). The standard rate is 5 requests a second, and limits apply per endpoint (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Its MCP server gives an assistant the API documentation, not the data (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
After September 30 the lifetime offer closes to new accounts. The only published standard figure is 5 requests per second per endpoint. Plan prices and monthly volume for later accounts are set by the website or order form at the time of subscription (BlitzAPI pricing, BlitzAPI Terms, section 9.1).
Pros
- Flat monthly price. The launch offer states a fair-use line of 15,000,000 results a month for accounts opened by September 30, 2026.
- Job postings and hiring signals, the nearest match to Crustdata's jobs API.
- A free trial of 1,000 credits with no card.
Cons
- Three paid tiers, and phones need the top one.
- Phone numbers are US only.
- The MCP server reads docs. An agent cannot search or enrich through it.
- The 50 per second rate depends on when the account opened.
Best for: teams that want a flat-price search and jobs API and run their own code.
Pricing: Core $399, Plus $499, Full $599 a month (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).
3. Coresignal: best for employee, company and job records at scale

Coresignal sells employee, company and job records through an API on monthly credit plans. It lists 907M+ employee profiles, 70M+ companies and 482M+ job postings (Coresignal, September 2026). Crustdata's own footer links a Coresignal alternative page, so buyers do compare the two.
Credits are the meter. A Base employee or company record costs 10 credits, a multi-source record 20, a job posting 1 and a contact enrichment 20 (Coresignal docs, September 2026). Pro is $499 for 35,000 credits, which is 3,500 Base records. Elite is $5,000 for 10,000,000 credits and 100+ requests per second, or 1M Base records (10 credits each). For 1M work-email lookups at 20 credits each there is no public price. The derived figure is about $10,000 at the Elite rate, two Elite months (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).
Multi-source employee records carry professional emails and a four-value email status (Coresignal docs, September 2026). The Base Employee API pages list no email field, and neither dictionary lists a phone field. Bulk Collect stops at 10,000 records a request. The MCP server signs in with OAuth 2.1, exposes 5 tools and bills entity_search at 20 credits a call (Coresignal docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Job postings and a real-time employee API, as Crustdata has.
- Rate limits climb to 100+ requests per second on the top plan.
- Flat-file datasets if you would rather own the data.
Cons
- At 10 credits a record, the $499 plan buys 3,500 Base records.
- No phone numbers on employee records.
- MCP search is metered at 20 credits a call.
- Bulk Collect is 10,000 records per request, asynchronous.
Best for: teams that need job postings and raw profile volume and accept a credit plan.
Pricing: Mini $49, Starter $199, Pro $499, Growth $1,000, Premium $1,500, Scale $3,000 and Elite $5,000 a month (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).
4. People Data Labs: best for data licences and per-match enrichment

People Data Labs (PDL) is a long-running person and company data API with bulk licences. Its All dataset holds 2.47 billion profiles, 592 million with an email (PDL docs, September 2026). It charges per match: a request that returns a person costs one credit, and a miss costs none.
The entry price is high per record. Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits, which is $0.28 each, and PDL says Pro profiles run about $0.20 to $0.28 each by volume (PDL blog, September 2026). Free gives up to 100 records a month with contact data hidden. Above about 100,000 profiles a year it is Enterprise and quote only, with no public 1M price (PDL docs, September 2026).
Enrichment allows 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans, and Person Search defaults to 10 a minute (PDL docs, September 2026; PDL docs, September 2026). Bulk enrichment takes 100 people a request. We found no official MCP server in PDL's docs.
Pros
- Enrichment at 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans.
- Annual data licences delivered to S3, GCP or Azure (PDL docs, September 2026).
- 46 million job postings and ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 shown on the pricing page.
Cons
- $0.28 a record at the entry rate, so volume needs a sales call.
- Contact data is hidden on the Free plan.
- Person Search defaults to 10 calls a minute.
- No official MCP server found, so agents need a wrapper you host.
Best for: teams that license data or need compliance paperwork and accept per-record pricing.
Pricing: Free up to 100 records a month. Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits. Enterprise custom (PDL pricing, September 2026).
5. Explorium: best for company breadth, events and intent
Explorium sells business and prospect data through AgentSource, an API and MCP server on prepaid credit packs. It claims 767M+ professional profiles and 146M+ business entities (Explorium, September 2026). It is the nearest thing here to Crustdata's signals side.
Packs are one-off purchases. Lite is $29.99 for 500 credits, Growth $749.99 for 30K and Scale $7,499.99 for 500K. Credits last 12 months and are non-refundable (Explorium pricing, September 2026). An email lookup costs 2 credits and a phone lookup 5 (Explorium docs, September 2026).
The default limit is 200 queries a minute per key, and each bulk row counts as a query (Explorium docs, September 2026). The MCP server has 11 tools and uses an API key (Explorium docs, September 2026). Explorium also tracks 15+ event categories with webhooks (Explorium docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Events, enrollments and webhooks, close to Crustdata's watchers.
- Intent filters and 17 business enrichments.
- A free trial of 100 credits for 90 days.
Cons
- Credit packs expire after 12 months and do not refund.
- 200 queries a minute, so 1M rows take days.
- Email status is three values: valid, invalid, catch-all.
Best for: teams that want company data, events and intent from one vendor and spend credits in packs.
Pricing: Lite $29.99, Starter $149.99, Growth $749.99 and Scale $7,499.99 per pack. Enterprise custom (Explorium pricing, September 2026).
6. LeadMagic: best for a low per-credit price on valid emails
LeadMagic is a credit-based enrichment API. It lists 400M+ people and 25M+ companies, and reaches them through REST, CSV, a command-line tool and a hosted MCP server (LeadMagic, September 2026). Failed lookups cost nothing.
The credit price falls as you climb the plans. Essential is $99 a month for 5,000 credits. Professional is $499 for 50,000. Ultimate is $849 for 100,000, or $0.00849 a credit (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). A valid email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 5.
The Email Finder endpoint allows 600 requests a minute. LeadMagic also states that a sustained find rate below 10% can lead to throttling or suspension (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). The MCP server uses OAuth, and a preview_cost call shows the price of a large job first (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).
Pros
- The lowest per-credit list price in this group.
- No charge when an email is not found.
- Hosted MCP with a cost preview before large operations.
Cons
- The top self-serve plan is 100,000 credits, so 1M a month needs an Enterprise quote.
- A smaller stated database: 400M+ people.
- A minimum find-rate policy can throttle lists with poor match rates.
Best for: teams that enrich a few hundred thousand valid emails a month and want cheap credits.
Pricing: Essential $99, Growth $249, Professional $499, Ultimate $849 a month (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
7. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles behind an API
FullEnrich queries 25+ sources for each contact, and you pay only for data it finds (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026). Its pricing page lists API access, people and company search and an MCP server on Pro. It ranks last because it is built for modest volumes of contact data, not bulk records.
Credits are the meter. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. The entry plan is Pro at $29 a month for 500 credits ($0.058 each). The page opens on $55 a month for 1,000 credits ($0.055 each). Search costs 0.25 credits per person returned (FullEnrich docs, September 2026).
The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts in a bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export, and it asks you before it spends credits (FullEnrich help, September 2026).
Pros
- Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call can cover several vendors.
- Search, enrichment and export in the MCP server.
- SOC 2 Type II listed on the pricing page.
Cons
- Mobiles cost 10 credits each, so phone-heavy pulls get expensive fast.
- The default API limit is 60 calls a minute.
- A credit meter at volume. There is no public price at 1M, and the top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month.
Best for: teams that want waterfall contact data, mostly emails and mobiles, through an API or an agent.
Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, Enterprise custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on one record each. The Coresignal cell is 1M Base records at 10 credits each on Elite. Email lookups bill 20 credits, about $10,000 derived. Explorium uses the entry credit price. PDL has no public 1M price, so its cell says so. LeadMagic and FullEnrich sell no plan at 1M a month, so their cells show the top public tier.
How to choose
- You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second.
- You want a flat-price API with jobs data: BlitzAPI Plus, if you can live with a docs-only MCP server.
- You need job postings and raw profile counts: Coresignal, and budget 10 credits per Base record.
- You need a licensed dataset or compliance paperwork: People Data Labs.
- You need company events and intent next to people data: Explorium.
- You buy valid emails by the hundred thousand: LeadMagic, at $0.00849 a credit on Ultimate.
- You need waterfall mobiles on a modest volume: FullEnrich, and budget 10 credits per mobile.
- You need live web fetch and change watchers: stay on Crustdata for those, and move bulk lists to a flat-price API.
Verdict
LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It has a flat price, emails and phones in one plan, 100 requests per second and an MCP server that returns records. BlitzAPI is the flat-price runner-up if you want jobs data and run your own code. Coresignal wins for job postings at scale, PDL for licensed datasets and Explorium for company events. LeadMagic wins for cheap valid emails and FullEnrich for waterfall mobiles. Crustdata still wins for live data and watchers. Otherwise start on the free plan and compare the same lookups.
FAQ
Why do teams leave Crustdata?
Cost clarity and throughput. Crustdata sells credits and publishes no dollar price per credit (Crustdata pricing, September 2026). Person enrich defaults to 15 requests a minute, and contact enrich needs an enterprise plan (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
How much does Crustdata cost?
The pricing page lists no plans or prices. A Crustdata blog post says the lowest tier starts at $95 a month (Crustdata blog, September 2026). The docs list credit costs per call, such as 0.03 credits per search result and 1 to 7 per person enrich (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
What is the cheapest Crustdata alternative at volume?
At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat and BlitzAPI Plus at $499 (for accounts opened by September 30, 2026) are cheapest on list price. Coresignal's Elite plan covers 1M Base records at about $5,000, or about $10,000 for work-email lookups. LeadMagic and FullEnrich publish no plan at 1M a month, and their top tiers are $849 and $3,500 for 100,000 credits. Enterprise quotes narrow the gap.
Which Crustdata API alternative has an MCP server that returns data?
LeadOcean, Coresignal, Explorium, LeadMagic and FullEnrich all do. BlitzAPI's server reads documentation only. We found no official PDL server. Crustdata's own server is at install.crustdata.com/mcp (Crustdata docs, September 2026).
Can I keep Crustdata and use another data source?
Yes. Pull the bulk list from a flat-price API, then spend Crustdata credits only on the accounts where you need live signals or watchers. That keeps the credit burn small and the volume bill fixed. The recipe is on the LeadOcean vs Crustdata page.
Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?
No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
