People leave Enrow when the job stops being "find the email for this name". Its API has three features: email finder, email verifier and phone finder. You bring the name and the company domain, and it does not search a database (Enrow API docs, October 2026). Every search is asynchronous, so you submit, then collect the result by webhook or polling.
The limits are fixed too. A phone number costs 40 credits against 1 for an email. The rate limit is 10 requests per second per key on every plan (Enrow rate limits, October 2026). The biggest public plan is Scale at $397 a month for 50,000 credits, and above that you ask for a quote (Enrow pricing, October 2026). For the full plan table, read Enrow pricing.
This page ranks six alternatives for API and volume buyers. Prices are USD list prices, monthly first, billed-yearly after.
TL;DR
| Tool | Best for | Starting price | Cost at 1M records a month |
|---|---|---|---|
| LeadOcean | API, agent and volume buyers | Free (1,000 records, one-off). Pro $499 a month | $499 a month flat. Fair use applies |
| Icypeas | Cheap credits that never expire | Basic $19 a month for 1,000 credits | $3,992 a month (1,000,000-credit tier, plus VAT) |
| Anymail Finder | Pay-on-find emails for known names | $29 a month for 400 credits | $4,990 once (1,000,000-credit pack, valid 12 months) |
| Hunter | Domain lookups with outreach attached | Free 50 credits. Starter $49 a month | $6,900 once (Data Platform, valid 12 months) |
| LeadMagic | Valid emails and mobiles at 100k a month | Essential $99 a month for 5,000 credits | No public 1M price. Top tier: Ultimate, $849 a month for 100,000 credits |
| Prospeo | Reps who want an extension and pay per user | Free 100 credits. Starter $49 per user a month | No single tier reaches 1M. Cheapest public path is $14,456 a month |
"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Figures are list-price arithmetic from each vendor's pricing page. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier or cheapest public path, not a price. Enrow publishes no price at 1M either. Its Custom tier starts at $1,000 a month and volumes are quoted (Enrow pricing, October 2026).
What we evaluated
- API access: which plans open it, how you call it, and whether results come back in the same request.
- MCP: whether an agent can search or enrich through the server, and how it signs in.
- Price model: flat, credits or seats, and what 1M records a month costs at list price.
- Phones and verification: what a phone costs, and whether the tool checks an address when you ask.
- Limits that bite: rate limits, plan ceilings, daily caps and seat rules.
We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September and October 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers of our own. Where a vendor quotes a number, we label it a vendor claim.
1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers
LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters, and counts are free. So unlike Enrow, you build the list and get the emails in the same place.
The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off.
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
-H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
-H "content-type: application/json" \
-d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'The call is synchronous: you send one request and read the record in the response. Phones are at GET /v2/people/phone and work emails at GET /v2/people/email/work. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter and no 40-credit phone.
- Search by 50 people filters, then pull emails and phones from the same database.
- Email status on every record, from
verifiedtospam_trap. - REST and MCP on every plan, including Free. A miss on
POST /v1/people/enrichis a free 404. - 100 requests per second per key, ten times Enrow's limit.
Cons
- No name plus domain lookup. You search by domain first, then enrich by
person_id. - No verifier for a list you bring. You read the stored
email_statusand decide what to send. - The v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, including a call that finds nothing.
- No Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM sync. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download.
Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need search, emails and a fixed bill at volume.
Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
2. Icypeas: best for cheap credits that never expire
Icypeas is the closest match to Enrow's job at a lower unit price. It sells credits for an email finder, a verifier and a people and company finder. Email search costs 1 credit per found email, and a search that finds nothing costs nothing (Icypeas credit costs, September 2026).
Monthly plans run from Basic at $19 for 1,000 credits to Hypergrowth at $499 for 100,000. Billed yearly, Basic is $190 a year for 12,000 credits. Volume tiers on the Hypergrowth selector reach 1,000,000 credits for $3,992 a month, plus VAT (Icypeas pricing, September 2026). Unused credits roll over with no expiry.
The API is asynchronous like Enrow's. You submit a search, get an _id and poll for the result (Icypeas docs, September 2026). Email search, verification and domain search allow 10 calls a second, and find people allows 30. Bulk search allows one call a second with up to 5,000 rows (Icypeas rate limits, September 2026). The hosted MCP server has 21 tools and signs in with your API key (Icypeas MCP guide, September 2026).
Pros
- $0.003992 a credit at the 1,000,000-credit tier, the lowest published monthly credit price here.
- Credits roll over with no expiry and no cap, even after a downgrade or cancellation.
- API and MCP on every plan.
- Find people and companies at 0.02 credits per result, with free counts.
Cons
- Phone Finder is listed as coming soon, so there is no phone endpoint to replace Enrow's.
- Results are asynchronous, and the rate limit is 10 calls a second on email search.
- Prices are shown plus VAT.
Best for: teams that find a few hundred thousand emails a month by name and domain and want cheap credits.
Pricing: Basic $19 a month ($15.83 billed yearly) for 1,000 credits. Hypergrowth $499 a month ($415.83 billed yearly) for 100,000 (Icypeas pricing, September 2026).
3. Anymail Finder: best for pay-on-find emails for known names
Anymail Finder looks up the email for a person you name. It charges only when it finds a verified address. A person's email is 1 credit, a decision-maker is 2 credits and verification is 0.2. Searches that find no verified email are free, and repeating a search within 30 days is free too (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
Plans run from $29 a month for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000. Yearly plans save 33%, for example 4,800 credits for $228 a year. The cheap route to volume is a one-time pack: 1,000,000 credits for $4,990, valid 12 months. Prices are USD from the page's USD view, because the page shows Canadian dollars to visitors in Canada.
The API docs state no rate limits and no daily call caps, and bulk jobs take up to 100,000 rows (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026). The MCP server has five actions: find a person's email, find a decision maker, find company emails, verify an email and check your account. It covers no bulk files or webhooks (Anymail Finder MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- No stated rate limit, against Enrow's 10 requests per second.
- A 1,000,000-credit pack at $4,990 gives a public price at 1M.
- A verified email that bounces can be reported for a credit back, under a 97%+ delivery guarantee.
- Unlimited team members share one credit pool.
Cons
- It returns emails for people you name. Its docs list no database search and no phone endpoint.
- Subscription plans stop at 100,000 credits a month. Beyond that you buy one-time packs.
- Free is 100 credits, and only after you verify a card.
Best for: teams with a known list of names and domains who want to pay only for verified emails.
Pricing: $29 a month for 400 credits up to $799 for 100,000. Packs from $249 for 5,000 credits to $4,990 for 1,000,000 (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026).
4. Hunter: best for domain lookups with outreach attached
Hunter is an email finder priced in credits, with an API, bulk tools and a remote MCP server. Email Finder costs 1 credit per email found, and Email Verifier costs 0.5 credit. Nothing is charged when nothing is found (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
The all-in-one plans are Free with 50 credits a month, then Starter at $49 for 2,000 and Growth at $149 for 10,000. Scale is $299 for 25,000. Billed yearly they drop to $34, $104 and $209 a month. Hunter's Data Platform, built for API and bulk work, sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).
Email Finder allows 15 requests a second and 500 a minute. Hunter reports a rate-limited call as 403, and a used-up quota as 429 (Hunter API docs, September 2026). Bulk Email Finder takes up to 50,000 rows a file (Hunter help, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.hunter.io/mcp uses your API key and is included on all plans (Hunter MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- 15 requests a second on the core endpoints, 50% above Enrow.
- Bulk Email Finder handles 50,000 rows a file.
- MCP server on every plan.
- Unlimited team members share one credit pool.
Cons
- Scale stops at 25,000 credits a month. More volume means the Data Platform or Enterprise.
- Monthly plan credits reset each month and do not carry over.
- Starts from a name or domain. It does not search people by job level or function.
- The 403 for rate limits and 429 for quota is the reverse of what most clients expect.
Best for: teams that find emails by domain and want sending tools in the same product.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or $34, $104 and $209 billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).
5. LeadMagic: best for valid emails and mobiles up to 100k a month
LeadMagic is a credit-based enrichment API with email finding, email validation, mobile lookup and people and company search. A valid email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 5, against 40 on Enrow. A miss on email finding is free (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
Billed monthly, Essential is $99 for 5,000 credits, Growth is $249 for 20,000, Professional is $499 for 50,000 and Ultimate is $849 for 100,000. That is $0.00849 a credit at the top. Billed yearly, Essential is $990 a year for 60,000 credits, so the "$83 a month" headline is the yearly view. There is no free plan.
Email Finder is capped at 600 requests a minute. LeadMagic also states that a sustained find rate below 10% can lead to throttling or suspension (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). It states its hosted MCP server exposes 43 tools, with OAuth sign-in only and no static API keys (LeadMagic MCP, September 2026).
Pros
- A mobile costs 5 credits, one eighth of Enrow's 40.
- Search in the app spends no credits on paid plans, within daily export caps.
- 43 MCP tools, more than any other server here.
- Seats are included: 3 on Essential up to 20 on Ultimate.
Cons
- No public price at 1M. Self-serve stops at 100,000 credits, so 1M a month needs Enterprise.
- No free plan. It starts at $99 a month with a 14-day money-back guarantee on the first payment.
- A low find rate on a poor list can trigger throttling.
Best for: teams that want cheap valid emails and mobiles in the tens of thousands a month, with an agent in the loop.
Pricing: Essential $99, Growth $249, Professional $499, Ultimate $849 a month. Billed yearly, 10 times the monthly price (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).
6. Prospeo: best for reps who want an extension and pay per user
Prospeo sells email and mobile finding per user, on credits. It has a REST API, a Chrome extension and an MCP server. A verified email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 10, with the email included. A miss costs nothing, and re-enriching the same record within 90 days is free (Prospeo help center, September 2026).
Plans are per user a month. Free has 100 credits, Starter is $49 for 2,000 and Growth is $99 for 5,000. Pro is $249 for 15,000. Billed yearly, Starter is $37 a month for 24,000 credits upfront (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Free-plan API access is disputed. The pricing table shows none, and the help center says 50 requests a day.
Enrichment limits are 5 requests a second on Starter and Growth and 30 on Pro, with daily caps of 2,000, 5,000 and 500,000 (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.prospeo.io has 8 tools and takes OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).
Pros
- A mobile costs 10 credits, a quarter of Enrow's 40.
- Chrome extension, like Enrow's, plus search and enrichment in one product.
- Pro allows 30 enrichment requests a second, three times Enrow.
- Re-enriching a record within 90 days is free.
Cons
- Per-user pricing, so a bigger team buys seats and credits together.
- Daily request caps of 2,000 on Starter and 5,000 on Growth.
- Credits expire at the end of each cycle. Add-on credits stop at 350,000 a month or 500,000 a year, then pricing is on request (Prospeo help center, September 2026).
- The most expensive path to 1M in this group.
Best for: reps and small teams that want an extension and pay-as-you-go emails and mobiles.
Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month, or $37, $74 and $187 billed yearly (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section. Enrow figures were checked in October 2026 and the rest in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy.
The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Anymail Finder's and Hunter's figures are one-off purchases valid 12 months, not monthly bills. LeadMagic sells no plan at 1M a month, so its cell shows its top public tier. Prospeo's path is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500, for 1,010,000 credits.
How to choose
- You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, search plus emails and phones, REST and MCP on every plan.
- You find emails by name and domain and want the lowest credit price: Icypeas, at $0.003992 a credit on the 1,000,000-credit tier.
- You want to pay only for verified emails and a public 1M pack: Anymail Finder, at $4,990 for 1,000,000 credits.
- You find emails by domain and send from the same tool: Hunter.
- You need mobiles at a lower credit price than Enrow: LeadMagic at 5 credits, or Prospeo at 10.
- Your reps live in a browser extension: Prospeo, and budget per user.
- You need under 50,000 emails a month for known names: stay on Enrow. Scale is $397 for 50,000 credits, cheaper than LeadOcean Pro at that size.
Verdict
LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It is the only tool here that searches 693M people and returns emails and phones from one database. It answers in one synchronous call and charges one flat price. Icypeas wins for cheap credits by name and domain, and Anymail Finder for pay-on-find emails with a public 1M pack. Hunter suits domain lookups with outreach, LeadMagic suits cheap mobiles up to 100,000 credits a month, and Prospeo suits reps who want an extension. Enrow stays the simple choice for a known list at low volume. Otherwise start on the free plan and run the same lookups.
FAQ
Why do teams leave Enrow?
Shape, rate limit and price at scale. Enrow finds emails and phones for names you supply and does not search a database. It limits every key to 10 requests per second (Enrow docs, October 2026). A phone costs 40 credits, and the largest public plan is 50,000 credits a month (Enrow pricing, October 2026).
What is the cheapest Enrow alternative at volume?
At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat is cheapest on list price. Icypeas is next at $3,992 a month, then Anymail Finder at $4,990 once and Hunter at $6,900 once. LeadMagic has no public 1M price, and Prospeo's cheapest public path is $14,456 a month. Enrow publishes no 1M price.
Does Enrow have an API and an MCP server?
It has a REST API for email finding, verification and phone finding, with single and bulk calls (Enrow API docs, October 2026). Its pricing page lists an MCP server on every plan (Enrow pricing, October 2026). Results come back by webhook or polling, not in the same request.
Which Enrow alternative has the highest API rate limit?
LeadOcean allows 100 requests per second per key. Hunter allows 15 a second on Email Finder, Icypeas 10 a second and Prospeo 5 to 30 a second depending on plan. Anymail Finder states no rate limits. Enrow allows 10 a second on every plan.
Can I use LeadOcean with Enrow?
Yes. Use LeadOcean to build the list and pull the emails it holds. Then send the addresses you are about to use to Enrow for a check. You pay there only for results. See pricing for the free plan.
Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?
No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro.
