People Data Labs vs BlitzAPI

People Data Labs vs BlitzAPI (2026): Data, Pricing and API Compared

One is a 2.47B-profile dataset sold by the credit. The other is a flat monthly fee for verified work emails. Here is which buyer should pick which.

People Data Labs (PDL) is the bigger dataset and BlitzAPI is the simpler bill. PDL sells person and company records by the credit, with a public price that stops near 100,000 profiles a year. BlitzAPI sells a flat monthly plan with verified work emails and, on its top plan, US phone numbers.

All prices and limits below were checked in September 2026, each with its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.

Verdict

  • Pick People Data Labs if you need the widest coverage: 2.47B person profiles, 592M with an email, and phone numbers outside the US. It also sells company, job posting and licensed data files. It fits buyers who need SOC 2 and ISO paperwork and a negotiated contract.
  • Pick BlitzAPI if you mostly need verified work emails for LinkedIn profiles at a cost you can predict. One flat fee, no credits, 50 requests per second for accounts opened by September 30, 2026.
  • Pick neither if you want an MCP server that returns records, a CSV export, and email plus phone in one flat plan. LeadOcean fits that gap, and it holds fewer people than PDL.

Data and coverage

PDL is about four times larger by profile count. It lists 2,466,510,427 person profiles, 592,376,573 of them with an email, and 76,606,079 companies (PDL datasets, September 2026; PDL company stats, September 2026). BlitzAPI publishes 550M+ profiles and 65M+ companies (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Do not compare the email numbers one to one. PDL counts profiles with at least one email. BlitzAPI counts verified work emails, tested against mail servers and re-tested at least every 30 days.

Phones are where the gap is widest. PDL lists 470M profiles in its mobile phone dataset and 764M in the any-phone dataset. BlitzAPI holds 45M+ phone numbers and its docs say phone enrichment is US only. A team calling Europe or India gets nothing from BlitzAPI.

PDL also sells data BlitzAPI does not match: IP data, job postings and company records (PDL company stats, September 2026). BlitzAPI lists 100M+ job postings, so jobs are not a clean win for PDL (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

API and developer experience

Both are plain REST with an API key header, and both are easy to call from a script. PDL gives you more ways to match a person. BlitzAPI gives you fewer inputs and a simpler answer.

PDL enriches a person from a profile URL, email, phone or name plus company. It returns 200 on a match and 404 on a miss, and it charges per match (PDL docs, September 2026). This is the request from its docs:

bash
curl -G "https://api.peopledatalabs.com/v5/person/enrich" \
  -H "X-Api-Key: $PDL_API_KEY" \
  --data-urlencode "profile=https://linkedin.com/in/seanthorne"

BlitzAPI's work email lookup takes a LinkedIn URL. It returns found, the email and a fair_usage block with your remaining volume (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). One result costs one record on the trial and nothing extra on a paid plan.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.blitz-api.ai/v2/enrichment/email" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "x-api-key: $BLITZAPI_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"person_linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/antoine-blitz-5581b7373"}'

Search differs more. PDL takes an Elasticsearch query or SQL, returns up to 100 records a call and pages with a scroll_token (PDL docs, September 2026). BlitzAPI takes company and person filters, returns 50 a page and stops at 50,000 results per query (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

For agents, neither helps much. PDL has no official MCP server, only community ones (PDL llms.txt, September 2026). BlitzAPI's MCP server answers questions about its docs and cannot search people (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Pricing

PDL charges per credit and BlitzAPI charges per month. The crossover comes early, and past it the two bills move in different directions.

At 10,000 records a month. PDL says Pro costs about $0.20 to $0.28 a person profile, depending on volume (PDL blog, September 2026). The $0.28 figure is the entry rate: $98 divided by 350 credits. So 10,000 x $0.28 = $2,800, and 10,000 x $0.20 = $2,000.

Billed yearly, PDL takes 20% off the monthly price (PDL pricing, September 2026). If that applies at this size, $2,800 x 0.8 = $2,240. That is an estimate from public rates, not a quote. PDL steers buyers above 100,000 person profiles a year to Enterprise. At 10,000 a month you use 120,000 a year, already past that line (PDL blog, October 2026).

BlitzAPI at 10,000 lookups is one plan. Plus is $499 a month for verified work emails, Core is $399 without emails, and Full is $599 with US phones (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Only emails it finds count as results, so 10,000 lookups return at most 10,000.

At 1M records a month. PDL has no public 1M price. Self-serve stops near 100,000 profiles a year, and above that PDL quotes Enterprise only (PDL blog, September 2026). Do not multiply the Pro rate out to 1M. Ask PDL for a quote.

BlitzAPI at 1M is still $499 a month at list. 1,000,000 results sits under the 15,000,000 a month fair use line, so one Plus plan covers it: $499 x 1 month = $499 (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). No billed-yearly figure is published.

One caution on BlitzAPI. Those prices, the 50 requests per second and the 15,000,000 fair use line belong to accounts opened by September 30, 2026. That is the last day of the offer (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). Plan prices for later accounts are not published, and the standard rate is 5 requests per second.

Time matters at 1M too. On PDL paid plans, enrichment at 1,000 a minute takes 1,000 minutes, about 16.7 hours, unless you use bulk requests of up to 100 people (PDL docs, September 2026). On BlitzAPI, 1,000,000 / 50 per second is 20,000 seconds, about 5.6 hours, and at 5 per second it is about 2.3 days.

Where People Data Labs wins

  • Coverage. 2.47B profiles, 764M with any phone, and phones outside the US.
  • Range of data. Company, job posting and IP data, and licensed files delivered to your cloud storage (PDL docs, September 2026).
  • Procurement. ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 are listed on its pricing page, and Enterprise brings custom contracts (PDL pricing, September 2026).
  • Matching. Name plus company, email, phone or profile URL all work as inputs.

PDL's weak points are its bill and its search limit. Cost scales per record, and Person Search defaults to 10 requests a minute.

Where BlitzAPI wins

  • Predictable cost. A flat monthly fee with no credits and no overage line, at least for accounts opened by September 30.
  • Verified work emails. It tests emails against mail servers and re-tests them at least every 30 days.
  • Speed. 50 requests per second against PDL's 1,000 a minute on enrichment, and a search that is not held to 10 calls a minute.
  • Simple access. Free 1,000-credit trial with no card, and three plans instead of a credit selector.

BlitzAPI's weak points are US-only phones, no documented bulk export and an MCP server that only reads docs. It also carries no SLA on Core, Plus or Full (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

If you need volume through an API

LeadOcean is a third option if neither fit above works for you. It has a free plan with 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, and no credits or per-record price (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, so it is smaller than PDL. The same REST API and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools run on every plan. The MCP server searches, enriches and exports records (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).

For bulk pulls, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, or you can use the Exports page in the app (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). 1M rows is 20 requests over two days. See pricing for the detail.

FAQ

Is BlitzAPI cheaper than People Data Labs?

At volume, yes on list price. BlitzAPI Plus is $499 a month flat, while PDL Pro starts at $98 a month for 350 credits and has no public 1M price. At very small volumes, PDL's free plan and $98 entry tier cost less than any BlitzAPI paid plan.

Does People Data Labs have an MCP server?

Not an official one. PDL's docs and llms.txt list none, and only community servers exist (PDL llms.txt, September 2026). PDL could ship one that is not yet documented.

Does BlitzAPI have an MCP server?

Yes, but it gives an AI tool access to the API documentation only. It does not return people or company records (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Does BlitzAPI cover phone numbers outside the US?

No. BlitzAPI lists 45M+ phone numbers and says phone enrichment is US only. You also need the $599 Full plan to get them (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).

Can I export a CSV from either tool?

Not from BlitzAPI's API: we found no bulk or CSV export in its docs or OpenAPI spec. PDL offers bulk enrichment of 100 people per request and licensed files on Enterprise (PDL docs, September 2026).

What happens to BlitzAPI pricing after September 30, 2026?

The lifetime offer closes to new accounts. BlitzAPI has not published prices for later accounts, and the standard limit is 5 requests per second (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). Check the pricing page on the day you sign up.
