Seamless.AI and Clearbit solve different problems. Seamless.AI finds and researches people, and bills credits with no public price. Clearbit fills in records you already hold inside HubSpot. At 1M records, neither has a public price.

Verdict

  • Pick Seamless.AI if reps will work in its Chrome extension and dialer, or you need to find new people with email and mobile numbers and will take a sales quote (Seamless.AI, September 2026).
  • Pick Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) if your contacts and companies already live in HubSpot and you want them filled in automatically, with no code (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
  • Pick neither if you pull people and company data by API at volume and want one flat monthly bill. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

Data and coverage

Seamless.AI publishes size claims, and Clearbit publishes none. Seamless.AI lists 2.2B+ verified contacts, 121M+ companies, 1.6B+ verified business emails and 448M+ mobile numbers. These are vendor claims with no stated method. Run 100 of your own contacts through any tool before you trust a count.

Clearbit's homepage describes its data in kind, not in numbers. It lists six-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC industry codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalized role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). Neither the homepage nor HubSpot's enrichment docs give a people, company or phone count.

The two start from opposite ends. HubSpot enrichment takes a first name, last name and work email for a contact, or a domain for a company, and fills in properties (HubSpot docs, September 2026). It does not return an email address or a personal phone number for a contact. Personal addresses such as Gmail are not enriched at all.

Seamless.AI can start from a name and company, or from a search. Its contact search takes 39 filter and modifier parameters and company search takes 23 (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). One credit covers a contact's email and phone together.

Clearbit's changelog last mentions its Prospector people search in March 2024. We found no current page that sells it (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). Today's documented route is enrichment.

API and developer experience

Seamless.AI has an open, documented API. Clearbit's is behind a login. Seamless.AI takes a key in a header, and a result comes back later by poll or webhook. Clearbit's API docs redirect to a sign-in page, so you cannot read them before you commit (Clearbit docs, September 2026).

Seamless.AI: start a research job. It answers HTTP 202 with requestIds. The sample uses placeholder names.

bash
curl -X POST https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v1/contacts/research \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Token: $SEAMLESS_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"contacts":[{"contactName":"Jane Doe","companyName":"Acme Corp","title":"CTO"}]}'

Next you call GET /contacts/research/poll with those IDs, or take the result by webhook. A poll ends in done, error, missing or duplicate (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). The docs do not say whether a missing record costs a credit, and they give no job time.

Clearbit's release notes confirm a Company Enrichment API for subscribers (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). We cannot print a request we could not read. HubSpot's documented route is not code. A Super Admin switches on automatic enrichment, or adds an Enrich Record action to a workflow (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

On MCP, Seamless.AI wins on what is published. Its hosted server has 57 tools covering search, research, campaigns and outreach, with OAuth 2.1 or an API key (Seamless.AI MCP docs, September 2026). We found no MCP server for Clearbit data enrichment.

Throughput is a real difference. At 500 records a call and 60 requests a minute per endpoint, 1,000,000 records is 2,000 search calls and 2,000 research calls. That is about 34 minutes each in separate windows, plus polling (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). Clearbit publishes no limit to divide by.

Pricing

Seamless.AI publishes credits but no dollars, and Clearbit publishes a plan price but no per-record price. Neither gives a number at 1M, so the examples below show the arithmetic each vendor's own pages allow.

Seamless.AI's pricing page is a quote form. Licenses carry credits: Free has 50 with no refill, Basic 250 a month and Pro 10,000 a month, refreshed on the contract date (Seamless.AI credit docs, September 2026). Subscriptions are annual, and cancelling needs 60 days' notice before renewal or it renews for 12 months (Seamless.AI terms, September 2026).

Clearbit is priced as the HubSpot plan under it. HubSpot says data enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits, so you pay the subscription (HubSpot docs, September 2026). HubSpot shows prices in your local currency, and our read came back in Canadian dollars. Starter lists from CA$13 a seat a month on monthly billing. Marketing Hub Professional is CA$1,150 a month with 3 seats, plus a one-time CA$3,700 onboarding fee (HubSpot pricing, October 2026). Check the price in your currency.

At 10,000 records a month

  • Seamless.AI: 10,000 contacts x 1 credit = 10,000 credits, which is one Pro license for a month. Starting from a search adds 10,000 / 10 = 1,000 credits. No public price (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026).
  • Clearbit: 1 Starter seat x CA$13 = CA$13 a month on monthly billing, if the volume is allowed. An index page takes 100 records at a time, so 10,000 / 100 = 100 batches (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

At this size Clearbit is the only one with a number you can plan around, and it is small. Seamless.AI may cost less or more. You cannot tell until sales quotes you.

At 1M records a month

  • Seamless.AI: no public 1M price. 1,000,000 contacts x 1 credit = 1,000,000 credits, or 1,100,000 with a search first. A Pro license holds 10,000 a month, so that is 100 licenses or a bulk pool, both quote only (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026).
  • Clearbit: no public 1M price. The plan fee is the only cost HubSpot states, and no monthly volume is published. An index page would need 1,000,000 / 100 = 10,000 batches, so this is a workflow job. Ask HubSpot sales for the ceiling first.

Seamless.AI says invalid emails are refunded automatically (Seamless.AI, September 2026). Clearbit has no per-record charge to refund.

Where Seamless.AI wins

  • It finds people, not only fills records. Search plus research covers new prospects.
  • Published size claims: 2.2B+ contacts and 448M+ mobile numbers, where Clearbit publishes none.
  • A Chrome extension and dialer for reps.
  • An MCP server with 57 tools and an API anyone can read.
  • Invalid emails are refunded automatically, by its own statement.

Where Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) wins

  • Enrichment runs inside HubSpot, with automatic enrichment for new records and no code (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
  • A low entry cost for a HubSpot team: a Starter seat lists at CA$13 a month on monthly billing (in Canadian dollars), and enrichment does not draw HubSpot Credits.
  • Standardized firmographics: six-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, corporate hierarchy, normalized role and seniority.
  • Form shortening, which hides form fields that enrichment can fill from an email address (Clearbit).

If you need volume through an API

LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server with no credits and no seats. It is not a sales suite and has no CRM, dialer or Chrome extension. Pro costs $499 a month flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups. The Free plan gives 1,000 records one-off with no card, and both plans get the same REST API and 12-tool MCP server. POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, so 1M rows is 20 calls over two days (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). Compare it on a list you already know, then read the Seamless.AI alternatives, the Seamless.AI alternative page and pricing.

FAQ

Is Seamless.AI or Clearbit cheaper?

Clearbit has the only published price, a HubSpot Starter seat (CA$13 a month on monthly billing, read in Canadian dollars), and enrichment does not use HubSpot Credits. Seamless.AI publishes no dollar price. A fair comparison needs a sales quote for your volume (HubSpot pricing; Seamless.AI pricing, September 2026).

Which has more data, Seamless.AI or Clearbit?

Seamless.AI, on what is published. It claims 2.2B+ verified contacts and 448M+ mobile numbers. Clearbit publishes no people, company or phone count. All of these are vendor figures, so test the same 100 records in each (Seamless.AI API page; Clearbit, September 2026).

Do both have an API and an MCP server?

Seamless.AI has an open REST API and an MCP server at mcp.seamless.ai/mcp, which must be enabled on your account. Clearbit has an API behind a sign-in, and we found no MCP server for its data. HubSpot's remote MCP server covers CRM records (Seamless.AI MCP docs; HubSpot MCP, September 2026).

What are the API rate limits?

Seamless.AI allows 60 requests a minute per endpoint, shared by the whole organization (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). Clearbit's rate limit is not published. Ask HubSpot before you plan a bulk job.

Do I need HubSpot to use Clearbit?

Yes for new customers. Clearbit's release notes say a HubSpot account is required for new sign-ups, and the enrichment sits inside HubSpot's hubs from Starter up (Clearbit release notes; HubSpot docs, September 2026).

Can LeadOcean replace either one?

For data pulled in code or by an agent, yes. LeadOcean does not fill HubSpot properties on its own and does not give reps a dialer or Chrome extension. Keep those tools for those jobs, and use LeadOcean for volume.
