Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) alternatives

7 Best Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)

Seven enrichment and data APIs for teams that pull company and people records in code, through an agent or at volume, ranked by fit, with list prices and the cost of 1M records.

People leave Clearbit when the data feed turns out to be a CRM subscription. New sign-ups have needed a HubSpot account since December 2023 (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). The developer docs redirect to a sign-in page, so you cannot read the API before you commit (Clearbit docs, September 2026). HubSpot enrichment starts from a business email or a company domain you already hold, and an index page enrolls 100 records at a time (HubSpot docs, September 2026). The public Logo API ended after December 8, 2025.

This page ranks seven Clearbit API alternatives for buyers who pull records in code or through an agent. LeadOcean is first because it has a flat price, public docs and an MCP server that returns records. For a two-column view, see LeadOcean vs Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence).

CoresignalCompany and employee records in bulkMini $49 a month for 2,500 creditsAbout $5,000 for 1M Base records (10M credits) on Elite. Not an email cost
CrustdataLive company and people data for agentsNo public price listno public dollar price per credit (Crustdata pricing, September 2026)
ExploriumCompany breadth, events and intentLite $29.99 for 500 creditsAbout $30,000 at $0.015 a credit
ApolloReps who want a database and a sequencerBasic $49 per seat a month, billed annually$24,750 a month on monthly billing (250 Professional seats at $99), or $19,600 a month billed yearly (400 Basic seats at $49)

"1M records" means 1M person or company records returned, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Explorium and Apollo are priced on 1M work-email lookups. Clearbit has no per-record price to compare: enrichment rides on a HubSpot plan, from a $7 seat on Starter (HubSpot pricing, September 2026). Coresignal's cell is 1M Base records at 10 credits each, which is not an email-lookup cost. Figures are list-price arithmetic. Enterprise quotes are lower, so ask each vendor at your volume.

What we evaluated

  • API access: which plan opens it, the endpoints that enrich a company by domain and a person by email or profile, and the default rate limit.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
  • Price model: flat, credits or seats, and what 1M records a month costs at list price.
  • Data: stated coverage, company and person fields, email and phone, and search filters.
  • Limits that bite: plan gates, bulk ceilings, expiring credits and fair-use clauses.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers

LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters. Counts are free. Person enrichment is POST /v1/people/enrich, company enrichment is POST /v1/companies/enrich, phones are GET /v2/people/phone, and exports run up to 50,000 rows per request.

The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off. More headroom is one email to support.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'

The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads. Claude, Cursor or your own agent can pull records directly. Every person or company returned counts as one record, and count_leads is free, so you can size an audience before you pull it.

Pros

  • Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free, with docs open before you sign up.
  • Company enrichment by domain and person enrichment by profile or email.
  • Email status on every record, from verified to spam_trap.
  • Free counts, and a miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.

Cons

  • No automatic enrichment inside a CRM. You call the API or pull an export.
  • No site visitor identification or buyer intent.
  • No industry code mapping to NAICS or GICS. The industry filter has 534 values.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

2. BlitzAPI: best for flat-price search and enrichment by API

BlitzAPI sells B2B data as an API on flat monthly plans. Its docs list 550M+ contacts tied to LinkedIn profiles, 65M+ companies and 100M+ job postings (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). It is the closest rival to LeadOcean on price model.

The plan ladder is where it gets fiddly. Core is $399 a month and leaves out emails and phones. Plus is $499 and adds verified work emails. Full is $599 and adds US phone numbers (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). If you enrich for contact data, you buy Plus or Full.

Two details to check before you commit. The 50 requests per second and 15,000,000 monthly results are tied to accounts opened by September 30, 2026, against a standard 5 per second. Limits also apply per endpoint (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). And its MCP server gives an assistant the API documentation, not the data (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Flat monthly price, with a fair-use line of 15,000,000 results a month for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. Limits for later accounts are not published (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026).
  • Company search, people search and job data under one key.
  • A free trial of 1,000 credits with no card.

Cons

  • Three paid tiers, and phones need the top one.
  • Phone numbers are US only on Full.
  • The MCP server reads docs. An agent cannot search or enrich through it.
  • The fast rate limit depends on when the account opened.

Best for: teams that want a flat-price search and enrichment API and run their own code.

Pricing: Core $399, Plus $499, Full $599 a month (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).

3. People Data Labs: best for per-match company and person enrichment

people-data-labs homepage

People Data Labs (PDL) is the nearest like-for-like swap for a Clearbit enrichment call. It has a Company Enrichment API at /v5/company/enrich that takes a domain, name or profile and returns one matched company, with a 404 when nothing matches (PDL docs, September 2026). It charges per match. Its All person dataset lists 2.47 billion profiles and 592 million with an email (PDL docs, September 2026).

The entry price is high per record. Company Pro starts at $100 a month for 1,000 records (PDL pricing, September 2026). Person Pro starts at $98 for 350 credits, or $0.28 each, and PDL says Pro profiles cost about $0.20 to $0.28 depending on volume. Above about 100,000 profiles a year it is quote only, so PDL has no public 1M price (PDL docs, September 2026). The Free plan gives up to 100 records a month with contact data hidden.

Enrichment allows 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans. Annual licences deliver flat files to S3, GCP or Azure (PDL docs, September 2026). We found no official MCP server in PDL's docs index (PDL docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • A company enrichment endpoint that matches the shape of Clearbit's.
  • A stated 1,000 calls a minute on paid plans.
  • Dataset licences for your own warehouse.
  • ISO and SOC 2 Type 2 shown on the pricing page.

Cons

  • $0.10 a company and $0.28 a person at the entry rates, about $0.20 a person at volume. Large volume is quote only.
  • Contact data is hidden on the Free plan.
  • No official MCP server found, so agents need a wrapper you host.

Best for: teams that enrich by domain or email through an API and accept per-record pricing, or that license data.

Pricing: Free up to 100 records a month. Company Pro from $100 a month for 1,000 records. Person Pro from $98 a month for 350 credits. Enterprise custom (PDL pricing, September 2026).

4. Coresignal: best for company and employee records in bulk

coresignal homepage

Coresignal sells employee, company and job records on credits. It lists 907M+ employee profiles and 70M+ companies, with company records updated daily (Coresignal, September 2026). Company and employee APIs suit a team that wants raw firmographics in its own pipeline.

Credits are the meter. A Base employee or company record costs 10 credits and a multi-source record 20 (Coresignal pricing, September 2026). Pro is $499 a month for 35,000 credits, which is 3,500 Base records. Elite is $5,000 a month for 10,000,000 credits (Coresignal pricing, September 2026). Search by filter is free, but each collect bills.

Pro runs at 10 requests per second, and rates climb with the plan (Coresignal docs, September 2026). Bulk Collect stops at 10,000 records a request (Coresignal docs, September 2026). The MCP server has 5 tools and uses OAuth 2.1, and its entity_search costs 20 credits a call (Coresignal MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • A low per-credit rate on the top plan: $0.0005 on Elite.
  • 1M Base records fit inside one Elite plan.
  • Search by filter is free.
  • Datasets are available if you want files, not calls.

Cons

  • The $499 plan buys 35,000 credits, so entry pricing is steep per record.
  • No phone field in multi-source employee records, and Base employee records list no email field (Coresignal docs, September 2026).
  • Every MCP search costs 20 credits.

Best for: data teams that load company and employee records in bulk and can budget in credits.

Pricing: Mini $49 a month for 2,500 credits. Pro $499 for 35,000. Elite $5,000 for 10,000,000 (Coresignal pricing, September 2026).

5. Crustdata: best for live company and people data in agents

crustdata homepage

Crustdata sells real-time company and people data through APIs for search, enrichment, jobs, posts and watchers. It lists 1 billion+ people and describes its data as continuously re-verified (Crustdata, September 2026). It fits signal-driven work, such as hiring spikes and funding events, better than bulk list building.

Pricing is credit based and the public page shows no dollar price per credit (Crustdata pricing, September 2026). Company enrichment costs 2 to 4 credits a record, and /company/identify, which resolves a company from a domain, is free. Person enrichment is 1 to 7 credits (Crustdata docs, September 2026). Purchased credits expire after 12 months (Crustdata docs, September 2026).

Volume is the catch. Standard search and enrich endpoints default to 15 to 30 requests a minute, and higher limits go through support (Crustdata docs, September 2026). The MCP server at install.crustdata.com/mcp signs in with OAuth (Crustdata docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Live data and change watchers that a static database lacks.
  • A free company identify call, so you resolve a domain before you pay to enrich it.
  • Cheap search at 0.03 credits per result.
  • MCP server that returns company, people and job data.

Cons

  • No public price per credit, so you cannot price 1M records from the site.
  • Low default rate limits on standard endpoints.
  • Contact data costs more credits than a base profile.

Best for: AI SDR and signal workflows that need fresh data more than raw volume.

Pricing: Credit based, with no public price list. Per-call credit costs are in the docs (Crustdata docs, September 2026).

6. Explorium: best for company breadth, events and intent

Explorium sells business and prospect data through AgentSource, an API and MCP server on prepaid credits. It claims 767M+ professional profiles and 146M+ business entities (Explorium, September 2026). It also tracks 15+ event categories, with enrollments and webhooks (Explorium docs, September 2026). Events and intent sit closest to what Clearbit's visitor and intent features cover.

Credits are the meter. A contact lookup costs 2 credits for email only and 5 for phone or both (Explorium docs, September 2026). Packages run from Lite at $29.99 for 500 credits to Scale at $7,499.99 for 500,000, which is $0.015 a credit. Credits last 12 months and packages are non-refundable (Explorium pricing, September 2026).

The default limit is 200 queries a minute per key, and each row in a bulk request counts as a query (Explorium docs, September 2026). At that pace a 1M-row job takes about 3.5 days. The MCP server has 11 tools and uses an API key (Explorium MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Events, intent filters and business enrichments beside people data.
  • MCP server that returns records.
  • A free trial of 100 credits for 90 days.

Cons

  • Credit packs expire after 12 months and are non-refundable.
  • 200 queries a minute by default, counted per bulk row.
  • Three email statuses only: valid, invalid and catch-all.

Best for: teams that want company data, events and intent in one vendor and can live with credits.

Pricing: Lite $29.99, Starter $149.99, Growth $749.99, Scale $7,499.99 as one-off packages. Enterprise custom (Explorium pricing, September 2026).

7. Apollo: best for reps who want a database and a sequencer in one

apollo homepage

Apollo is a sales platform with a contact database attached. It lists 240M+ contacts and 30M+ companies, sequences, a dialer and a Chrome extension (Apollo MCP page, September 2026). It ranks last here because the pricing is built around seats, not volume.

Basic is $49 per seat a month with 30,000 credits a year. Professional is $79 with 48,000. Organization is $119 with 72,000 and a three-seat minimum, all billed annually (Apollo pricing, September 2026). An email costs 1 credit and a phone number 8. Unused credits expire each cycle.

For code, the limits are workable. Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans, and search allows 200 a minute and 50,000 a day (Apollo docs, September 2026). The MCP server works on any plan, including Free. Apollo also says its plans are for internal business use only.

Pros

  • Database, sequences, dialer and CRM sync in one tool.
  • MCP server on every plan, with OAuth sign-in.
  • A free plan and a 14-day trial of paid plans.

Cons

  • Seats and credits both scale your bill, and credits expire each cycle.
  • Record selection caps of 25, 1,000, 2,500 and 10,000 by plan.
  • Internal use only, so you cannot build a product on it.

Best for: sales reps who prospect and send from one workspace.

Pricing: Free. Basic $49, Professional $79, Organization $119 per seat a month, billed annually (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic. Apollo is 250 Professional seats at $99 on monthly billing, or 400 Basic seats at $49 on yearly billing. PDL has no public 1M price. Coresignal is 1M Base records, 10M credits at the Elite rate. Email lookups bill 20 credits each and would derive to about $10,000. Explorium is 2M credits for 1M email lookups.

How to choose

  • You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second.
  • You want a flat-price API from a second vendor: BlitzAPI Plus, if you can live with a docs-only MCP server.
  • You enrich one company or person per call and want per-match billing: People Data Labs, and budget $0.10 a company at the entry rate.
  • You load company and employee records in bulk: Coresignal on a high plan, with credits sized first.
  • You need fresh signals and company events: Crustdata, with a rate-limit conversation first.
  • You want intent and events next to firmographics: Explorium.
  • Your reps live in the tool: Apollo.
  • Your records already live in HubSpot and you only fill properties: keep Clearbit's enrichment and add a flat-price API for volume. See LeadOcean vs Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence).

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It has a flat price, company and person enrichment, and an MCP server that returns records. BlitzAPI is the flat-price runner-up if you run your own code. PDL wins for per-match company enrichment and licences, Coresignal for bulk company files and Crustdata for live signals. Explorium wins for intent and events, and Apollo for reps who want a sequencer. Stay on Clearbit if your team lives in HubSpot and needs visitor identification. Otherwise start on the free plan and compare the same lookups. Pulling technology data too? See Wappalyzer alternatives.

FAQ

Why do teams leave Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence)?

Shape and access. New sign-ups need a HubSpot account, the API docs sit behind a sign-in, and enrichment starts from an email or domain you already hold (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). Teams that want a data feed for code or agents often move to an API.

Does Clearbit still have an enrichment API?

Clearbit documents one, but the docs sit behind a sign-in (Clearbit docs, September 2026). Access for new customers and the rate limit are not public, so ask HubSpot sales before you build on it.

What is the cheapest Clearbit alternative at volume?

At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat and BlitzAPI Plus at $499 are cheapest on list price. BlitzAPI's 15M fair-use line holds for accounts opened by September 30, 2026. Coresignal on Elite is next at about $5,000 for 1M Base records, which is not an email cost. Seat models cost far more at list, with Apollo at $19,600 a month billed yearly or $24,750 on monthly billing. PDL publishes no 1M price. Enterprise quotes narrow the gap.

What does Clearbit cost at 1M records a month?

There is no per-record price. HubSpot says data enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits, so you pay the plan (HubSpot docs, September 2026). We found no published monthly enrichment cap, so ask HubSpot sales for the ceiling.

Which Clearbit alternative has an MCP server that returns data?

LeadOcean, Coresignal, Crustdata, Explorium and Apollo all do. BlitzAPI's server reads documentation only. We found no official PDL server. Compare the tools each one exposes before you choose.

Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
