Datagma is the easier buy for most people. It has public plans, a documented API and a mobile finder you can test free today. Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) fits one buyer well: a team that already runs HubSpot and wants records filled in there. Neither publishes a price at 1M records.

Verdict

  • Pick Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) if your contacts and companies live in HubSpot and you want them enriched automatically, with no code (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
  • Pick Datagma if you have a list of names, profile URLs or emails and need verified emails and direct mobiles by API. Plans are public and start free (Datagma pricing, September 2026).
  • Pick neither if you need search and volume through an API on one fixed bill. Datagma's self-serve plans stop at 22,500 emails a month, and Clearbit sits behind a HubSpot plan. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

Clearbit and HubSpot figures were checked in September 2026, and so were Datagma's. HubSpot renames and reprices often, so confirm before you buy.

Data and coverage

Neither company publishes a dataset size, so you cannot compare them on a count. Both fill in records you already hold. Neither lets you search a database by filter.

Clearbit's homepage lists 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalized role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). That is company data for scoring and routing leads. HubSpot's docs say contact enrichment uses a first name, last name and work email, and company enrichment uses a domain (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

The default contact properties include job title, seniority, role, location and LinkedIn URL. They include no email and no phone (HubSpot docs, September 2026). If you want contact details for a person, Clearbit through HubSpot is the wrong tool.

Datagma is built around the opposite output. It returns verified work emails, direct mobiles and a WhatsApp check (Datagma, September 2026). Datagma's docs give match rates by input: a profile URL "almost 100%", full name plus company about 90%, and an email about 60% (Datagma docs, September 2026). These are its own figures, so test your list.

Datagma also has a Find People endpoint that lists up to 10 people at a company by job title. A successful search costs 10 credits (Datagma docs, September 2026). It is a lookup by company, not a filter search.

API and developer experience

Datagma's API is public and documented on every plan. Clearbit's is not. Its docs redirect to a sign-in page, so you cannot read a request before you commit (Clearbit docs, September 2026). Sign-ups since late 2023 also need a HubSpot account (Clearbit release notes, September 2026).

Clearbit, no public request. We show no sample, because we could not read one. Inside HubSpot, enrichment is a settings switch. A Super Admin turns on automatic enrichment, and it is off by default (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

Datagma, enrich a person from a profile URL. All endpoints use GET, and the key goes in the apiId query parameter (Datagma API, September 2026). The URL below uses a placeholder profile.

bash
curl "https://gateway.datagma.net/api/ingress/v2/full?apiId=$DATAGMA_API_KEY&data=https%3A%2F%2Flinkedin.com%2Fin%2Fjane-doe&companyPremium=true"

A successful person response costs 2 credits (Datagma docs, September 2026). A key in the query string lands in server logs, so keep these calls server-side.

On rate limits, neither publishes one. Datagma's API page and docs list no request limit, and Clearbit's docs are behind a login. Ask both before you plan a bulk run.

On MCP, neither has a first-party enrichment server. HubSpot's remote MCP server reads and writes CRM records such as contacts and deals (HubSpot MCP, September 2026). Zapier runs a Datagma MCP listing with actions such as job change detection and work email lookup (Zapier, September 2026).

Pricing

Datagma bills a monthly plan with email and phone allowances, and you pay only for a match. Clearbit bills nothing of its own, because enrichment sits inside a HubSpot subscription. Datagma figures use the monthly list price first, with the billed-yearly figure after it.

Datagma list prices: Regular is $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for 3,000 emails and 100 phones. Popular is $99 for 7,500 emails and 250 phones. Expert is $249 for 22,500 emails and 750 phones, and Enterprise is custom. Annual billing saves 20% (Datagma pricing, October 2026). Datagma's API page lists Expert at $261 a month, or $209 billed yearly (Datagma API, October 2026). The two pages disagree, so confirm the Expert price at checkout.

At 10,000 work emails a month

  • Datagma: 10,000 emails fit inside Expert's 22,500 allowance, so $249 a month, or $249 / 10,000 = about $0.025 an email (Datagma pricing, October 2026). That uses the Find Work Email endpoint, which bills only verified results. The full enrich endpoint costs 2 credits per match, so the same 10,000 people through it use more of the plan (Datagma API, October 2026).
  • Clearbit: no per-record price. You pay the HubSpot plan, and enrichment does not consume HubSpot Credits (HubSpot docs, September 2026). From an index page you enrich 100 records at a time, so 10,000 is 100 batches. Segments, imports and workflows take larger jobs (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

At 10,000, Datagma has a clear price and Clearbit does not. Datagma also costs less than a flat $499, which is the honest case for Datagma at low volume.

At 1M work emails a month

  • Datagma: No public 1M price. Self-serve stops at Expert's 22,500 emails and 750 phones a month. Above that the pricing page says Enterprise, custom, through sales (Datagma pricing, September 2026). We do not multiply a plan rate out to 1M, because Enterprise may price differently.
  • Clearbit: No public 1M price. HubSpot publishes no per-record rate and no monthly volume ceiling for enrichment (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

Phones are the larger swing on Datagma. Each plan allows far fewer phones than emails: Regular gives 100 phones against 3,000 emails (Datagma pricing, September 2026). Ask for an Enterprise quote on phones separately.

Where Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) wins

  • Enrichment inside HubSpot. Automatic enrichment fills new records without anyone writing code.
  • Richer company data: 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, plus parent and subsidiary mapping (Clearbit, September 2026).
  • Form shortening, so a form shows only the fields HubSpot cannot already enrich (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
  • No per-record price to watch when you already own the HubSpot plan.

Where Datagma wins

If you need volume through an API

LeadOcean is a data API and MCP server with no seats, no credits and no CRM in front of it. Pro costs $499 a month flat, and Free gives 1,000 records one-off with no card. Both plans get the same REST API and 12-tool MCP server, and POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). It is not a sales workspace and it does not fill HubSpot properties, so compare it on a list you already know.

FAQ

Is Clearbit or Datagma better for finding phone numbers?

Datagma. It sells direct mobiles and checks WhatsApp, and its plans list phones by name (Datagma pricing, September 2026). HubSpot's default enrichment fields for contacts include no phone (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

Is Clearbit still a separate product?

Partly. Clearbit's site says it has joined HubSpot, and new sign-ups need a HubSpot account (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). HubSpot's docs call the feature data enrichment and list it inside its hubs.

Which is cheaper, Clearbit or Datagma?

At 10,000 emails a month Datagma Expert is $249, and Clearbit has no standalone price, only the HubSpot plan. At 1M records neither publishes a price. If HubSpot is already paid for, Clearbit adds little cost. If not, Datagma's number is the clearer one.

Do Clearbit and Datagma have an API and an MCP server?

Datagma has a REST API on every plan, and its docs are public. Clearbit documents an API behind a sign-in. Neither has a first-party enrichment MCP server we could find.

How do their rate limits compare?

We could not compare them. Datagma lists no request limit in its API page or docs, and Clearbit's docs need a login. Ask both vendors for the limit in writing.

How does LeadOcean compare with these two?

LeadOcean is a searchable database behind one REST API and MCP server, at $499 a month on Pro with no credits. It does not match Datagma's mobile lookup from a name and company, or HubSpot's in-CRM enrichment.
