BlitzAPI is the better buy if you want a data API with a public price. Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) is the better buy if your records already live in HubSpot. They are different products. BlitzAPI searches and enriches through a REST API. Clearbit fills in records inside a HubSpot account.
All figures below were checked in September 2026, each with its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.
Verdict
- Pick BlitzAPI if you work in code and want a flat monthly fee. Plus is $499 a month for verified work emails, and the docs are public (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). It also searches for new people, which Clearbit does not.
- Pick Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) if your contacts and companies already sit in HubSpot and you want them filled in automatically, with no code (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
- Pick neither if you want an MCP server that returns records, a CSV export and email plus phone in one flat plan. LeadOcean covers that, and it has no CRM.

Data and coverage
BlitzAPI publishes its size and Clearbit does not. BlitzAPI lists 550M+ profiles, 65M+ companies, 65M+ verified work emails and 45M+ US phone numbers (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Clearbit's homepage gives no people, company or phone count (Clearbit, September 2026).
Clearbit's homepage claims global coverage across every country, in any language. That is a claim, not a number. We cannot compare it with a count that does not exist.
The data also does a different job. BlitzAPI holds a database you can search. You filter by company and person, and it returns people you did not have. Clearbit starts from an email or a domain you already hold and fills in blank properties (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
Phones favour neither buyer abroad. BlitzAPI's 45M+ numbers are US only, and they sit on the $599 Full plan. Clearbit publishes no phone coverage at all.
Clearbit does have richer company fields. Its homepage lists 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalised role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). BlitzAPI lists 100M+ job postings, which Clearbit does not mention (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
API and developer experience
BlitzAPI has a public API you can read before you pay. Clearbit's API documentation redirects to a sign-in page, so you cannot read it first (Clearbit docs, September 2026). New sign-ups have needed a HubSpot account since December 2023 (Clearbit release notes, September 2026).
BlitzAPI's work email lookup takes a LinkedIn URL and returns found, the email and a fair_usage block with your remaining volume (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). This is the request shape from its docs, with a placeholder profile:
curl -X POST "https://api.blitz-api.ai/v2/enrichment/email" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-H "x-api-key: $BLITZAPI_API_KEY" \
-d '{"person_linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe"}'Clearbit has no public request to show, because its docs sit behind that sign-in. Most HubSpot users never call it. They switch on data enrichment in settings as a Super Admin, and new records fill themselves (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
Search is where the two differ most. BlitzAPI's Find People returns 50 results a page and stops at 50,000 results per query (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Clearbit enrichment has no search. It does not find new people.
Rate limits favour BlitzAPI on paper only. New accounts run at the standard 5 requests per second per endpoint, and accounts opened by September 30 keep 50 (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Clearbit publishes no rate limit.
For agents, neither helps much. BlitzAPI's MCP server answers questions about its docs and cannot search people (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). We found no MCP server for Clearbit enrichment, and HubSpot's remote server reads CRM records such as contacts and deals (HubSpot MCP docs, October 2026).
Pricing
BlitzAPI charges per month and Clearbit charges nothing of its own. Clearbit's cost is the HubSpot plan you need to run it. Prices below use the monthly list first, with the billed-yearly figure after it where one exists.
At 10,000 records a month. BlitzAPI is one plan. Plus is $499 a month for verified work emails, Core is $399 without emails, and Full is $599 with US phones (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). No billed-yearly figure is published. Only emails it finds count as results, so 10,000 lookups return at most 10,000.
Clearbit at 10,000 costs whatever your HubSpot plan costs, because enrichment uses no HubSpot Credits (HubSpot docs, October 2026). Starter is priced per seat, and the price varies by region and current offer, so read it on your local pricing page (HubSpot pricing, October 2026). HubSpot publishes no monthly cap. An index page enrolls 100 records at a time, so 10,000 / 100 = 100 batches.
At 1M records a month. BlitzAPI is still $499 a month for an account opened by September 30, 2026. 1,000,000 results is under that account's 15,000,000 a month fair use line. One Plus plan covers it: $499 x 1 month = $499 (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026). Time is the other cost. 1,000,000 / 50 per second is 20,000 seconds, about 5.6 hours. At 5 per second it is 200,000 seconds, about 2.3 days.
Clearbit has no public 1M price. HubSpot publishes no per-record rate to multiply and no volume ceiling to size against (HubSpot docs, September 2026). Do not multiply the seat price out to 1M. Ask HubSpot sales for the ceiling.
Marketing Hub Professional also carries a required one-time onboarding fee on top of the monthly price (HubSpot pricing, October 2026). A 1M-record job from an index page would be 1,000,000 / 100 = 10,000 batches, so it is a workflow job.
One caution on BlitzAPI. The 50 requests per second and the 15,000,000 line apply to accounts opened by September 30, 2026 (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). The pricing page still lists $399, $499 and $599 but no fair use volume for later accounts (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026). The standard rate is 5 requests per second.
Other HubSpot features do bill in credits. Smart properties, for example, consume HubSpot Credits; plain enrichment does not (HubSpot docs, October 2026).

Where BlitzAPI wins
- A public price and public docs. You can read the plans and the API before you sign up. Clearbit gives you neither without an account.
- Search. It finds people you did not already have, 50 a page up to 50,000 per query.
- No CRM. A script and an API key are enough. Clearbit sign-ups need a HubSpot account.
- Published size. 550M+ profiles and 65M+ verified work emails give you a number to judge.
BlitzAPI's weak points are US-only phones, no documented bulk export and an MCP server that only reads docs. It also carries no SLA on Core, Plus or Full (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Where Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) wins
- Enrichment inside HubSpot. Records fill where the team already works, with no code. Automatic enrichment is off by default, then on for new records (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
- Standardised company data. NAICS, GICS and SIC codes and corporate hierarchy are on its homepage (Clearbit, September 2026).
- Visitor identification. Clearbit turns anonymous website traffic into company-level intent signals from IP data (Clearbit, October 2026). BlitzAPI has no such product.
- Price at small volume. If HubSpot is already paid for, enrichment adds nothing per record.
Clearbit's weak points are the HubSpot requirement, the sign-in wall on its docs and the lack of any published count or rate limit. Free Clearbit products have also closed. The free platform ended April 30, 2025 and the Logo API followed after December 8, 2025 (Clearbit release notes, September 2026).
If you need volume through an API
LeadOcean is a third option if neither above fits. The Free plan gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, and no credits or per-record price (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. The same REST API and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools run on every plan. The MCP server searches, enriches and exports records (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).
For bulk pulls, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. The app has an Exports page too (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). 1M rows is 20 requests over two days. LeadOcean has no CRM, so a HubSpot team keeps Clearbit for in-CRM records. See pricing for the detail.
FAQ
Is BlitzAPI cheaper than Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence)?
It depends on what you already pay for. Clearbit has no standalone price; it comes with a HubSpot plan, starting with a Starter seat. BlitzAPI lists $399 a month on Core. If you already run HubSpot, Clearbit is cheaper. If you do not, the CRM is the cost.
Does BlitzAPI have an MCP server?
Yes, but it gives an AI tool access to the API documentation only. It does not return people or company records (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026).
Does Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) have an API?
Clearbit documents one, but the docs sit behind a sign-in and access for new customers is not published (Clearbit docs, September 2026). Ask HubSpot before you build on it. We also found no MCP server for enrichment.
Which one finds new contacts?
BlitzAPI does. It searches people by company and person filters and returns 50 a page (BlitzAPI docs, September 2026). Clearbit fills in records that start from a business email or a company domain.
Does BlitzAPI cover phone numbers outside the US?
No. BlitzAPI lists 45M+ phone numbers and says phone enrichment is US only. You also need the $599 Full plan to get them (BlitzAPI pricing, September 2026).
What happens to BlitzAPI pricing after September 30, 2026?
The lifetime offer closed to new accounts. The pricing page still lists $399, $499 and $599 a month but no fair use volume for later accounts (BlitzAPI pricing, October 2026). The standard limit is 5 requests per second (BlitzAPI Terms, September 2026). Check the pricing page on the day you sign up.
