Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) and Snov.io both fill in B2B contacts, but you buy them in different ways. Clearbit is data enrichment inside HubSpot, with no price of its own. Snov.io is a standalone email finder and outreach suite that sells data in credits and has a public API.

Verdict

  • Pick Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) if your contacts and companies already live in HubSpot and you want them filled in without code. Enrichment rides on the plan you already pay for (HubSpot docs, September 2026).
  • Pick Snov.io if you want finding, verifying, sequences, a CRM and a phone finder in one login, or an API you can read today. Starter is $39 a month for 1,000 credits (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).
  • Pick neither if you need to build the list first by title, seniority, industry and country, or you need volume at a fixed price. Both start from a record you already hold or a credit meter. LeadOcean searches 693M people for a flat $499 a month.

Side by side

All prices are USD list prices. Monthly price first, billed-yearly figure after it. Clearbit facts were checked in September 2026, and HubSpot prices and Snov.io facts in October 2026.

Data and coverage

Neither tool gives a clean size to compare. Clearbit's homepage lists no people, company or phone count (Clearbit, September 2026). Snov.io claims 500M+ verified contacts and 60M+ companies (Snov.io lead finder, October 2026).

Treat the Snov.io headline with care. Its own Database Search guide says the database holds more than 50 million prospects (Snov.io guide, October 2026). The two figures are not measured alike, so test both on a sample of your own list.

What Clearbit does publish is depth on the company side. The homepage lists 6-digit NAICS, GICS and SIC industry codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalized role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). That is firmographic and routing data. It is not a list of people to contact.

The input rules differ. HubSpot enriches a contact from a business email and a company from a domain, and personal addresses are skipped (HubSpot docs, September 2026). The default contact fields are job title, seniority, role and location, not an email or a phone.

Snov.io goes the other way. It finds the email, charging 1 credit for each valid or unknown address (Snov.io API docs, October 2026). It also lets you search prospects by job title, location and department before you spend a credit on an email (Snov.io guide, October 2026).

Phones are the clearest split. Snov.io sells a phone finder on enrichment tokens at $0.02 each. A number costs 10 or 22 tokens depending on the provider, so $0.20 or $0.44 per number found (Snov.io knowledgebase, October 2026). HubSpot's enrichment docs state no phone coverage for Clearbit.

API and developer experience

Snov.io has an API you can read today. Clearbit's sits behind a login. Clearbit's documentation redirects to a sign-in page, so you cannot read it before you commit (Clearbit docs, September 2026).

Snov.io is a token call, then a start call, then a result call. You exchange a client ID and secret for a Bearer token that lasts 3,600 seconds (Snov.io API docs, October 2026). Then you start a task of up to 10 rows, adapted from the same docs.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.snov.io/v2/emails-by-domain-by-name/start" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SNOV_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"rows":[{"first_name":"Jane","last_name":"Doe","domain":"acme.com"}]}'

Read the answer with GET /v2/emails-by-domain-by-name/result?task_hash=..., or pass a webhook_url and Snov.io posts it to you.

Clearbit, no public request. We cannot show one because the docs need a sign-in.

Sign-ups since December 2023 need a HubSpot account (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). Clearbit does not publish whether a new customer can get the API outside HubSpot. Inside HubSpot, enrichment is a settings switch. A Super Admin turns on automatic enrichment, and it is off by default.

Rate limits differ in kind. Snov.io caps the whole API at 60 requests a minute, and a batch holds 10 rows. That is 600 lookups a minute at best, so 1M lookups take about 28 hours of nonstop calls. Clearbit publishes no limit.

On MCP, Snov.io runs a remote server that signs in with OAuth, and its actions draw on your credits (Snov.io MCP, October 2026). We found no MCP server for Clearbit enrichment. HubSpot's own MCP server covers CRM records such as contacts and deals (HubSpot MCP docs, October 2026).

Pricing

Snov.io has a price at every plan size up to 100,000 credits, and Clearbit has a plan fee and no per-record price. Snov.io bills about 1 credit per email found. The examples assume every lookup finds one, and a lower find rate lowers the bill.

10,000 records a month

  • Snov.io Pro M: $189 a month for 20,000 credits, or $141.75 a month billed annually (Snov.io pricing, October 2026). There is no 10,000-credit plan, and two Pro S plans at $99 each cost more. Cost per email at 10,000 used: $189 / 10,000 = $0.0189.
  • Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence): no per-record price. On HubSpot Starter, 1 seat is $10 a month, or $7 billed yearly, on a new-customer offer (HubSpot Starter, October 2026). From an index page you enrich 100 records at a time, so 10,000 is 100 batches.

On paper Clearbit is cheaper at 10,000 if HubSpot allows the volume. HubSpot publishes no monthly cap, so check it before you rely on the seat price. Verifying each Snov.io address costs another credit, so 10,000 verified emails use 20,000 credits and fill Pro M exactly.

1M records a month

  • Snov.io: No public 1M price. The top self-serve plan is Ultra at $738 a month for 100,000 credits. Custom Ultra starts at 200,000 credits and goes through sales (Snov.io pricing, October 2026).
  • Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence): No public 1M price. HubSpot publishes no per-record rate to multiply and no monthly enrichment cap. At 100 records an index page, 1,000,000 is 10,000 batches, so it is a workflow job (HubSpot docs, September 2026).

We do not multiply Snov.io's Ultra rate out to 1M, because Snov.io sells no such plan. Ask Snov.io and HubSpot for a quote at your volume.

The HubSpot plan is the real Clearbit cost, and HubSpot prices it by hub and seat. On Snov.io, unused credits expire every 30 days unless you are on an annual plan or have plan renewal on (Snov.io pricing, October 2026). Phones run on a second meter of tokens.

Where Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) wins

  • Enrichment where your records live. Automatic enrichment fills new HubSpot contacts and companies with no code (HubSpot docs, September 2026). With Snov.io you manage the calls or a sync.
  • Standardized company data. NAICS, GICS and SIC codes, parent and subsidiary mapping, and normalized role and seniority (Clearbit, September 2026). The Snov.io pages we read list no industry hierarchy.
  • Visitor identification and shorter forms. Clearbit's homepage advertises reverse-IP lookups on web traffic and forms that fill in from an email address (Clearbit, September 2026).
  • Low cost for an existing HubSpot team. If the plan is already paid for, enrichment adds nothing per record.

Where Snov.io wins

  • A readable API and a priced ladder. You can read the docs, see the 60 requests a minute limit and plan a bill by plan size. Clearbit gives you neither.
  • No CRM required. Snov.io works on its own. You do not need a HubSpot account to find a work email.
  • Phones and search. It sells a phone finder and a Database Search with filters. Neither appears in Clearbit's public pages or in HubSpot's enrichment docs.
  • The whole outbound stack. Snov.io pairs finding with verification, sequences, a CRM and unlimited team seats (Snov.io pricing, October 2026). Clearbit has no sending tool in what we read.

If you need volume through an API

Both tools start from a record you already hold or a credit you must buy. LeadOcean starts from the audience. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies, behind REST and a 12-tool MCP server. Pro is $499 a month flat with no credits, and Free gives 1,000 records one-off with no card.

POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, and the rate limit is 100 requests per second per key. LeadOcean does not credit back bounced emails, so read email_status before you send. It has no CRM, sequencer or extension. See the Clearbit alternative page or LeadOcean pricing.

FAQ

Is Clearbit (Breeze Intelligence) or Snov.io cheaper?

It depends on volume and on whether you run HubSpot. At 10,000 records, Snov.io Pro M is $189 a month and Clearbit rides on a HubSpot Starter seat from $10 a month ($7 billed yearly). At 1M, neither tool publishes a price (list prices linked above).

Which has more data?

Snov.io claims 500M+ contacts, but its own guide says 50M+ prospects. Clearbit publishes no count. Test both on a sample of your own list before you trust either number.

Does either tool return phone numbers?

Snov.io does, through a phone finder that costs 10 or 22 tokens per number found, at $0.02 a token. HubSpot's enrichment docs state no phone coverage for Clearbit. For phones at volume, look at a database built for it.

Do Clearbit and Snov.io have an MCP server?

Snov.io does, and it signs in with OAuth. We found none for Clearbit enrichment. HubSpot's MCP server covers CRM records, not data enrichment.

Is Clearbit still a separate product?

Partly. Clearbit's site says it has joined HubSpot, and new sign-ups need a HubSpot account (Clearbit release notes, September 2026). HubSpot's docs call the feature data enrichment.

What are the rate limits?

Snov.io allows 60 requests a minute across its API, with up to 10 rows per request. Clearbit publishes no limit on its public pages.
