Findymail wins when you hold names and domains and want a verified address or nothing. Snov.io wins when you want finding, verifying and sending in one app, with prices on the page. Neither publishes a price at 1M records a month.

Verdict

  • Pick Findymail if you feed a sequencer and want a charge only when a verified email is found (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
  • Pick Snov.io if one team finds, verifies, sends and tracks deals in a single login, and you want to read the plan prices before you buy (Snov.io pricing, September 2026).
  • Pick neither if you pull people and company data by API at volume. Both meter by the credit. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

Data and coverage

Findymail is a finder. You bring a name and a domain, or a profile URL, and it returns an address only when it can verify one. Snov.io is a suite with a database search, a finder and a verifier on top. Neither prints an email count or a phone count.

Snov.io is the only one that states a size. It claims 500M+ verified contacts and 60M+ companies (Snov.io lead finder, September 2026). Findymail states none, so you cannot compare size from the vendor pages. Run 200 contacts you know through each tool and count the hits. A claim of 500M contacts says nothing about how many of your targets sit inside it.

Search is a real split. Findymail takes a plain-language Intellimatch query and returns up to 5,000 companies per search (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Snov.io lets you search by job title, location, industry and company size with filters or natural language (Snov.io lead finder, September 2026).

Who you target matters more than either number. A founder list in the US will behave differently from procurement leads in Germany.

Phones favour neither. Findymail returns US numbers only and nothing for EU citizens. Snov.io sells phone lookups from third-party providers. Wiza costs 10 tokens and Zeliq 22 per number found, and Snov.io says the dearer one has wider coverage (Snov.io enrichment guide, September 2026).

API and developer experience

Both tools offer a REST API and a hosted MCP server. The calls differ in shape. Findymail answers one name per request. Snov.io takes up to 10 names per request, then makes you fetch the result. Placeholders below stand in for real people.

Findymail, find an email from a name and domain.

bash
curl -X POST "https://app.findymail.com/api/search/name" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $FINDYMAIL_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"name": "Jane Doe", "domain": "acme.com"}'

It uses one finder credit only if a verified email is found. Add a webhook_url and the search runs in the background (Findymail API docs, September 2026).

Snov.io, get a token, start a search, then fetch the result.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.snov.io/v1/oauth/access_token" \
  -d "grant_type=client_credentials" \
  -d "client_id=$SNOV_CLIENT_ID" \
  -d "client_secret=$SNOV_CLIENT_SECRET"

curl -X POST "https://api.snov.io/v2/emails-by-domain-by-name/start" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SNOV_ACCESS_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"rows": [{"first_name": "Jane", "last_name": "Doe", "domain": "acme.com"}]}'

curl "https://api.snov.io/v2/emails-by-domain-by-name/result?task_hash=$TASK_HASH" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SNOV_ACCESS_TOKEN"

It costs 1 credit for each email with a valid or unknown status. Each request takes up to 10 objects (Snov.io API docs, September 2026).

The limits measure different things. Findymail caps concurrency at 300 simultaneous requests and publishes no daily cap. Snov.io caps the rate at 60 requests a minute. At 10 names a request, 1M names is 100,000 requests. That is 100,000 / 60 = 1,667 minutes, about 28 hours of nonstop calls, before any result fetches (Snov.io API docs, September 2026).

On MCP, Findymail has 14 tools and signs you in through the browser. Lookups that find nothing are free (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026). Snov.io's server covers lead search, verification, lists, campaigns, LinkedIn and the CRM. It needs a Sales Suite or LinkedIn Automation plan (Snov.io MCP guide, September 2026).

Pricing

Findymail bills per credit on a plan whose prices sit behind a bot check. Snov.io bills per credit, with phones on separate tokens and sending on recipients. Snov.io figures use the monthly list price first, with the billed-yearly price after it.

At 10,000 work emails a month

  • Findymail: 10,000 finder credits if every lookup finds a verified email. Misses cost nothing, so real use is lower. We could not read the plan price past a bot check, so read the step that covers 10,000 on Findymail's pricing page.
  • Snov.io: 10,000 credits at 1 per email found. Pro S holds 5,000, so you need Pro M. That is $189 a month for 20,000 credits, or $141.75 billed yearly. Unused credits expire after 30 days on monthly billing (Snov.io pricing, September 2026).

At 10,000 phone numbers a month

At 1M work emails a month

  • Findymail: 1,000,000 finder credits. No public 1M price. The self-serve slider stops short of it, so expect a quote.
  • Snov.io: 1,000,000 credits. No public 1M price. The largest self-serve step is Ultra at $738 for 100,000 credits, $553.50 billed yearly. Custom Ultra starts at 200,000 credits and goes through sales (Snov.io pricing, September 2026).

The sums above hide three costs. Snov.io credits expire after 30 days on monthly plans and roll over only on annual plans. Sending runs on recipients, a separate meter (Snov.io pricing, September 2026). Findymail keeps verifier credits in a different pool from finder credits, so checking an address you already hold costs extra.

We do not multiply a rate out to 1M for either tool, because neither sells it at a list price. The 1M figure also assumes every lookup hits. Both charge nothing for a miss on finding, so your real bill tracks your hit rate.

Where Findymail wins

  • Verified or free. A lookup that does not find a verified email costs nothing, with no flag to set (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
  • A standalone verifier. POST /api/verify checks an address you already own for one verifier credit, kept apart from finder credits.
  • Concurrency, not a per-minute cap. 300 simultaneous requests suits a script that fires a batch at once.
  • Signals and lookalikes. Job changes, new hires and lookalike search sit in the same API (Findymail API docs, September 2026).

Where Snov.io wins

  • One app for the whole outbound loop. Finder, 7-tier verifier, warm-up, campaigns, LinkedIn automation and a CRM, with unlimited team seats (Snov.io pricing, September 2026).
  • Prices you can read. Every plan from $39 to $738 is on one page, so you can budget before you talk to anyone.
  • A stated database size. 500M+ contacts and 60M+ companies are claims, but they are claims you can test. Findymail gives you nothing to test against.
  • Unlimited export on paid plans. Findymail's docs show no bulk export of found contacts.

If you need volume through an API

Neither tool is built for a million records a month. LeadOcean is a database of 693M people and 63M companies, reached over REST and a 12-tool MCP server. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card.

Export up to 50,000 rows per request with POST /v1/exports, so a 1M-row pull is 20 calls over two days. LeadOcean has no Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM, so teams that send from one app should keep Snov.io. See LeadOcean pricing for the full terms.

FAQ

Is Findymail or Snov.io more accurate?

Neither publishes an independent test, and we have not run one. Snov.io claims a 98% accuracy rate on its homepage (Snov.io, September 2026). Findymail returns only verified emails. Run 200 contacts you know through each tool and compare.

Which is cheaper for 10,000 lookups a month?

Snov.io costs $189 a month at list price on Pro M, $141.75 billed yearly (Snov.io pricing, September 2026). Findymail's plan prices sit behind a bot check, so we quote none. Read the step that covers 10,000 on Findymail's pricing page.

Do Findymail and Snov.io both have an MCP server?

Yes. Findymail's is hosted at mcp.findymail.com/mcp with 14 tools (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026). Snov.io's is hosted at mcp.snov.io/mcp and signs you in with OAuth (Snov.io MCP guide, September 2026).

Can I get phone numbers for EU contacts?

Not from Findymail, which returns nothing for EU citizens (Findymail API docs, September 2026). The Snov.io pages we read state no such limit. Test a sample of your own EU list first.

Does Snov.io have a free API?

Not for tests. Free accounts book a demo to get test access, and the API is limited to 60 requests per minute (Snov.io API docs, September 2026). Findymail offers a free API key with no card (Findymail API, September 2026).

What does LeadOcean cost, and is there a limit?

Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down instead of cut off, and support can raise the headroom.
