Datagma is an enrichment API that sells bundles of verified emails and mobile numbers. LeadOcean is a searchable database you call over REST or MCP at one flat price. If you enrich a few thousand contacts a month and need mobiles, Datagma is a fair buy. If you need volume, search or an agent, LeadOcean costs less and does more.

Why teams switch from Datagma

The biggest self-serve plan stops at 22,500 emails a month

Expert is $249 a month for 22,500 emails and 750 phones. Anything above that is an Enterprise quote (Datagma pricing, September 2026).

A mobile costs as much as 30 emails

Each paid plan allows 30 times more emails than phones. Regular gives 3,000 emails or 100 phones, so a mobile is priced at about 30 email credits (Datagma pricing, September 2026).

You enrich what you already have

Datagma's enrichment page takes a profile URL, email, name and company, or a company domain as input (Datagma, September 2026). We found no published people filters or dataset size. If you need to find prospects, you bring the list.

No first-party MCP server

Datagma's site and API docs do not mention MCP. The only MCP listing we found is run by Zapier, not Datagma (Zapier, September 2026).

What 1M, 5M and 25M records cost

Datagma is priced per match inside a monthly plan, so cost scales with volume. LeadOcean Pro stays at $499 a month. The Datagma column is list-price arithmetic for emails only, at the Expert rate of about $0.0111 an email.

Emails a monthDatagma at list priceLeadOcean
1MAbout $11,100. Beyond self-serve, so Enterprise.$499 a month.
5MAbout $55,500. Enterprise.$499 a month.
25MAbout $277,500. Enterprise.$499 a month. Past fair use, one email raises the headroom.

Datagma arithmetic: emails x $249 / 22,500 emails, at list price, monthly billing, before any Enterprise discount (Datagma pricing, September 2026). Annual billing brings Expert to $209 a month, about $0.0093 an email. Enterprise may price lower, so ask Datagma for a quote at your volume.

Datagma publishes no Enterprise price per email at 1M records or more. Its pricing page says Enterprise is custom through sales (Datagma pricing, October 2026).

Mobiles change the picture fast. At the same Expert rate a mobile is about $0.33, so 1M mobiles is about $332,000 at list price. On LeadOcean a phone lookup is one record inside the flat fee.

Where LeadOcean wins

A flat bill at any volume

Pro is $499 a month. Every person or company returned counts as a record, but there is no credit balance to watch and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off, and one email to support gets you more headroom.

Search, not just enrichment

LeadOcean holds 693M people and 63M companies in one database. Search people with 50 filters and companies with 34, across 254 countries and 534 industries. Counts are free, so you size an audience before you pull a row.

Built for code and agents

The same data is reachable over REST and over MCP. The Free plan includes both, so you can test the whole thing before paying. One request returns a profile, email status and, with reveal_email, every email and phone number we hold, for one record.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'

For Claude or Cursor, add the MCP URL https://api.leadocean.io/mcp and sign in with OAuth. No key gets pasted into a chat, and your agent can call count_leads, search_leads and get_lead directly.

Bulk export at database scale

Export up to 50,000 rows per request with POST /v1/exports, so a 1M-row pull is 20 calls over two days. The API key goes in a header, not in the URL of every request.

Where Datagma wins

Mobile numbers for a known list

Datagma is built around direct mobiles. It finds a number from a name and a company, with no profile URL, and checks WhatsApp at the same time (Datagma, September 2026). LeadOcean's enrich call needs a LinkedIn URL, email, phone or person ID. If your list is names and companies, Datagma takes it as it is.

A low entry price at low volume

Regular is $49 a month, or $39 billed annually, for 3,000 emails and 100 phones (Datagma pricing, September 2026). If you enrich a few thousand contacts a month, that is cheaper than $499. Unused credits also roll over for 12 months.

Job changes and European company lookups

Datagma has a job change detection endpoint, so you can watch for a contact who moves (Datagma API docs, September 2026). It also looks up companies by SIREN or VAT number (Datagma, September 2026). LeadOcean does neither.

Use both: LeadOcean finds, Datagma fills the mobile gaps

You do not have to drop Datagma. Use LeadOcean to find and size the audience, then send only the contacts that still lack a mobile to Datagma. This keeps your Datagma credits for the one thing it does best.

  1. Create a free LeadOcean key at app.leadocean.io/register. The free plan needs no card.
  2. Search with POST /v1/people/search, count first with the free count, and export the matches with POST /v1/exports.
  3. Take rows with an email but no phone and run them through Datagma's phone search. Skip rows that already have a number.

FAQ

Is LeadOcean a full Datagma replacement?

Not for every job. LeadOcean replaces Datagma as a data source for search, email and volume. If you rely on name-plus-company mobile lookups, WhatsApp checks or job change alerts, keep Datagma for those.

How much does Datagma cost?

Free is $0 for 90 emails and 3 phones a month. Regular is $49, Popular $99 and Expert $249 a month. Enterprise is custom. Annual billing takes 20% off (Datagma pricing, September 2026).

Does Datagma have an API or an MCP server?

It has a REST API on every plan, including Free. We found no first-party MCP server in its docs. Zapier runs an MCP server with five Datagma actions (Zapier, September 2026).

What does LeadOcean cost, and is there a limit?

Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down instead of cut off, and support can raise the headroom.

Can LeadOcean find mobile numbers?

Yes. 166M people in the database have a phone number, and GET /v2/people/phone returns it for one record. A v2 contact call that finds nothing still counts one record.

Do I need a credit card to try it?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card, and it has the same API and MCP server as Pro. Your 1,000 records last until you spend them.
