Findymail and Datagma both find a work email from a name and a company, and both charge only for a match. Findymail is the one built for API and agent use, with an official MCP server and a standalone verifier. Datagma wins on a readable price, a real free plan and mobiles outside the US.
Every fact below was checked in September 2026 and carries its source link. Where a vendor publishes nothing, the page says so.
Verdict
- Pick Findymail if you want only verified emails, an official MCP server and a standalone verifier. Its pricing page blocks automated reading, so check the plans yourself.
- Pick Datagma if you enrich a known list of a few thousand contacts a month, need mobiles outside the US, or want to read the price before you sign up. Regular is $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly.
- Pick neither if you start from an audience, not a name list, or you need a fixed bill at 1M records. Neither publishes a 1M price. LeadOcean is one option.

Data and coverage
Neither vendor publishes a database size, so you cannot size either one before you test it. Both resolve a person on request and bill a find. Coverage is a match rate on your own list, and neither publishes one we could verify.
Findymail is strict about what it returns. A finder credit is used only if a verified email is found, so a miss costs nothing (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Datagma verifies emails too. Catch-all addresses it cannot verify come back as most probable and are not billed (Datagma API docs, September 2026).
Phones split the two. Findymail's phone finder is US only and returns nothing for EU citizens, at 10 credits a number. Datagma claims top 3 EU phone coverage and checks whether a number is on WhatsApp (Datagma pricing, September 2026). That is Datagma's own claim and it publishes no count.
Findymail reaches further on lead discovery. Intellimatch takes a plain-language query and returns up to 5,000 companies per search. A separate endpoint lists employees at a company, up to 5 contacts per call. Datagma's Find People lists up to 10 people at a company for 10 credits (Datagma API docs, September 2026).
Both add signals. Findymail has a signals endpoint for job changes and new hires. Datagma has a job change detection endpoint.
Run the same 500 people through each before you buy. Match rate depends on the input you send.
API and developer experience
Findymail is a JSON POST API with a Bearer token. Datagma is a smaller surface where every call is a GET and the key sits in the URL. The bigger difference is what each one is built to do around the email.
Findymail's Find from name takes a name and a company domain. It uses one finder credit if a verified email is found (Findymail API docs, September 2026). The request, with a placeholder person:
curl --request POST "https://app.findymail.com/api/search/name" \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $FINDYMAIL_API_KEY" \
--header "Content-Type: application/json" \
--data '{"name": "Jane Doe", "domain": "acme.com"}'It returns a contact object with the email. Add webhook_url and the search runs in the background and posts the result to you.
Datagma's Find Work Verified Email takes a name plus a company name or domain. It returns a verified result or nothing, and costs no credit on a miss (Datagma docs, Datagma API, September 2026).
curl "https://gateway.datagma.net/api/ingress/v8/findEmail?apiId=$DATAGMA_API_ID&fullName=Jane%20Doe&company=acme.com"Datagma's key travels in the query string, so it can end up in proxy and server logs. Findymail's sits in a header. Datagma's /v2/full enrichment accepts a profile URL, an email, or a name plus a company, and costs 2 credits per match (Datagma API, September 2026).
Rate limits use different units, so do not compare the numbers directly. Findymail allows 300 simultaneous requests on most endpoints. Find from domain is capped at 5 concurrent requests and business-profile search at 30 (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Datagma lists no limit in its API docs, so ask before you plan a batch job.
For agents, Findymail is ahead. Its official MCP server has 14 tools and signs in through the browser in Cursor (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026). Datagma has no first-party server. The only one we found is run by Zapier and exposes five actions (Zapier, September 2026).
Pricing
Datagma is the only one of the two you can price end to end. Findymail's pricing page blocks automated reading, so every Findymail dollar figure is on its pricing page and not here. Both bill only for a find, so the examples assume every lookup finds an email. A lower find rate lowers both bills.
At 10,000 records a month
- Datagma: 10,000 emails is more than Popular's 7,500, so you need Expert. That is $249 a month, or $209 a month billed yearly, for 22,500 emails and 750 phones (Datagma pricing, September 2026). At 10,000 emails that is $249 / 10,000 = $0.0249 per email.
- Datagma with phones: 10,000 phones is 10,000 / 750 = 13.3 times Expert's allowance, so it becomes an Enterprise quote.
- Findymail: 10,000 finder credits at 1 credit per email. Find the step that covers 10,000 on Findymail's pricing page.
- Findymail with phones: 10,000 x 10 = 100,000 credits, for US numbers only.
At 1M records a month
- Datagma: Expert stops at 22,500 emails. 1,000,000 / 22,500 = 44.4 times that allowance. No public 1M price. Enterprise is custom, and no per-email rate is published (Datagma pricing, September 2026).
- Findymail: 1,000,000 finder credits, or 10,000,000 for phones. No public 1M price. Ask for a quote.
Datagma's unused credits roll over for up to 12 months on paid plans, and extra seats are $5 per user a month. Findymail's rollover and seat terms are on its pricing page. For a fuller Findymail breakdown, see Findymail pricing.
At 1M records neither vendor gives you a number you can budget against. You get two quotes from sales.

Where Findymail wins
- Agent access. An official MCP server with 14 tools, against a Zapier-run server with five actions.
- Only verified emails. Every email is verified when you ask, and a miss costs nothing (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
- A standalone verifier.
POST /api/verifychecks an address you already hold for one verifier credit. - Lead discovery. Intellimatch builds a company list from a sentence, up to 5,000 companies per search.
- A published rate limit. 300 concurrent requests, against none published at Datagma.
Findymail's weak points are US-only phones at 10 credits each, no readable plan price and no published dataset size.
Where Datagma wins
- Readable price. $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly, for 3,000 emails and 100 phones (Datagma pricing, September 2026).
- A recurring free plan. 90 emails and 3 phones a month, with API access.
- Mobiles beyond the US. It claims EU coverage and checks WhatsApp, though it publishes no count.
- Bigger bulk files. File upload takes up to 50,000 rows per batch (Datagma file upload).
- Rollover. Unused credits roll over for up to 12 months on paid plans.
- Catch-all emails are free. They do not count against your allowance (Datagma pricing, September 2026).
Datagma's weak points are the 22,500-email ceiling, no published rate limit or dataset size, and no first-party MCP server.
If you need volume through an API
We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, and no credits or per-record price (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).
It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. The same REST API and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools run on every plan (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026).
For bulk pulls, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request, or you can use the Exports page in the app. 1M rows is 1,000,000 / 50,000 = 20 requests over two days (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). See pricing for the detail.
FAQ
Is Findymail cheaper than Datagma?
We cannot say for Findymail, because its pricing page blocks automated reading (Findymail pricing). Datagma starts at $49 a month, or $39 billed yearly. Compare the Findymail step for your volume against the Datagma plan that covers it.
Which one has an MCP server that returns records?
Findymail. Its official server has 14 tools (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026). We found no first-party Datagma server, only a Zapier-run one with five actions (Zapier, September 2026).
Which one is better for mobile numbers?
Datagma, if you call outside the US. Findymail's phone finder is US only and costs 10 credits a number (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Datagma publishes no phone count, so test it on your own list.
Does Datagma publish a rate limit?
No. Its API docs and API page list no request limit (Datagma API docs, September 2026). Findymail allows 300 simultaneous requests on most endpoints.
Can I export in bulk from either?
Datagma accepts a file of up to 50,000 rows per batch and returns the enriched file (Datagma, September 2026). Findymail has Intellimatch export, up to 5,000 companies per search (Findymail API docs, September 2026).
What does each cost at 1M records a month?
Neither publishes a price. Datagma's largest self-serve plan is Expert, 22,500 emails for $249 a month, and Enterprise is custom. Findymail's 1M price is not published either. Ask each for a quote.
