Neither tool prints a dollar price for volume, so this page compares credits, limits and who each tool is built for. Seamless.AI is a rep app with an API attached. Crustdata is an API with a wider web graph behind it.

Verdict

  • Pick Seamless.AI if reps will prospect and call from one app, and you want email and phone for one credit. It claims 2.2B+ verified contacts and 448M+ mobile numbers (Seamless.AI API page, September 2026).
  • Pick Crustdata if you build in code or with agents and want search at 0.03 credits a result, plus job, post and change-watcher data a contact database does not carry (Crustdata pricing docs, September 2026).
  • Pick neither if you pull people and company data by API at volume and want a bill you can forecast. A credit meter plus a quote form is the wrong shape for that. LeadOcean is one option, covered below.

All figures come from the linked pages, checked in September 2026. Both vendors change plans and limits often, so check before you buy.

Data and coverage

Seamless.AI claims the bigger dataset. Its API page lists 2.2B+ verified contacts, 448M+ mobile numbers, 121M+ companies and 100+ data points a profile (Seamless.AI API page, September 2026). The homepage adds 1.6B+ verified business emails. These are marketing figures, not counts you can verify.

Crustdata claims 1B people on its homepage. It shows both 60M and 200M+ companies in different places, so no company number is quoted here (Crustdata, September 2026). Its index also covers jobs, social posts and company signals, not just contacts.

Neither publishes how many of its people have an email or phone that works. Seamless.AI gives totals but not a reach rate. Crustdata gives no totals. Match rate on your own list is the only number that settles it.

Email status differs. Crustdata's contact endpoint returns four values: deliverable, catch_all, invalid and unknown (Crustdata contact docs, September 2026). Seamless.AI states verified data and credit back on invalid emails, but publishes no status list on the pages we read.

API and developer experience

Both are REST APIs with a hosted MCP server, and both bill in credits. The flows differ. Seamless.AI is search, then research, then poll. Crustdata is one enrich call. Placeholders below stand in for real people.

Seamless.AI takes the key in a Token header. You submit a research job and get an HTTP 202 with requestIds (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026):

bash
curl -X POST https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v1/contacts/research \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Token: $SEAMLESS_API_KEY" \
  -d '{"contacts":[{"contactName":"Jane Doe","companyName":"Acme Corp"}]}'

Then you call GET /contacts/research/poll with those requestIds, or take the result by webhook. One request takes up to 500 records, and one credit covers the email and phone together (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). The docs give no completion time for a job. They also do not say whether a record that comes back missing is charged.

Crustdata takes a Bearer key and an x-api-version header. You enrich by profile URL and get the answer in the response (Crustdata docs, September 2026):

bash
curl --request POST \
  --url https://api.crustdata.com/person/enrich \
  --header "authorization: Bearer $CRUSTDATA_API_KEY" \
  --header "content-type: application/json" \
  --header "x-api-version: 2025-11-01" \
  --data '{"professional_network_profile_urls": ["https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe/"]}'

That returns the base profile for 1 credit. The pricing docs list business email at +1 and phone at +2 on top. The enrich reference, though, lists no email or phone section and sends you to Contact Enrich for both (Crustdata enrich reference, October 2026). Ask Crustdata which applies to your key before you plan on emails.

Contact Enrich needs an enterprise plan. Self-serve keys get a 403 (Crustdata contact docs, September 2026).

Rate limits point in opposite directions. Seamless.AI allows 60 requests a minute per endpoint for the whole organization, with 500 records a request. Crustdata defaults to 15 a minute on person enrich and takes 25 profile URLs a request (Crustdata rate limits, September 2026).

At those limits, 1M records is a different job on each side. Seamless.AI needs 2,000 search calls and 2,000 research calls (1,000,000 / 500), about 34 minutes each in separate windows, plus polling. Crustdata single enrich at 25 URLs and 15 calls a minute is 375 profiles a minute, so 1,000,000 / 375 is about 44 hours. Batch jobs of 10,000 identifiers cut that to 100 jobs but run asynchronously.

On MCP, Seamless.AI offers 57 tools and takes an API key or OAuth. Its search tools use no credits and its research tools do. Crustdata's hosted server takes OAuth for interactive clients and an API key as a bearer token for code.

Pricing

Neither vendor prints a dollar price per credit. Credits are the only unit you can compare, and they buy different things. At Seamless.AI one credit is one contact with email and phone. At Crustdata a full record is up to 6 credits. Figures use credit counts first, because dollars are not public.

At 10,000 records a month

  • Seamless.AI: 10,000 contacts is 10,000 credits, with email and phone included. A Pro license carries 10,000 credits a month, so that is one license. If every record first comes from a search at 1 credit per 10 results, add 1,000 credits and you need two licenses (Seamless.AI credit docs, September 2026). No license price is published, so there is no dollar total.
  • Crustdata: 10,000 x 2 credits (1 base + 1 business email) is 20,000 credits on /person/enrich, if the pricing docs' email add-on applies to your key. Add 2 for a phone and 2 for a personal email and a full record is 6, so 60,000. The enterprise-only contact endpoint is 10,000 credits for work emails (Crustdata pricing docs, September 2026). No public price per credit, so no dollar total.

At this size neither can be priced from public pages. A Crustdata blog post reports a lowest tier from $95 a month, but the pricing page does not list it and gives no credit allowance (Crustdata blog, September 2026). Seamless.AI's $147 Basic figure appears only on competitors' blogs, so we do not use it.

At 1M records a month

Neither vendor has a public 1M price. We do not multiply a rate out to 1M and call it a price.

  • Seamless.AI: 1,000,000 research credits, or 1,100,000 with a search first (1,000,000 / 10 = 100,000 extra). At 10,000 credits per Pro license that is 100 licenses, or 110 with search. Both are quote only, and bulk pools are quoted by sales (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026).
  • Crustdata: 1,000,000 x 2 = 2,000,000 credits on /person/enrich, or 1,000,000 on the contact endpoint. Dollars equal credits times your quoted rate, which is not public.

Search is cheaper at Crustdata. At 0.03 credits a result, 1,000,000 search results is 30,000 credits before any enrichment.

Contract terms differ. Seamless.AI subscriptions are annual and need 60 days' notice before renewal or they renew for 12 months (Seamless.AI terms, September 2026). Crustdata's docs say purchased credits expire 12 months after purchase (Crustdata credits, September 2026). A Crustdata blog post from 30 July 2026 says 6 months (Crustdata blog, September 2026), so confirm the term in your dashboard before you buy in bulk.

Where Seamless.AI wins

  • Phones in the same credit. One credit covers email and phone. At Crustdata a phone adds 2 credits on top.
  • A rep app. A Chrome extension, a dialer and emailing in one product (Seamless.AI, September 2026). Crustdata is an API only.
  • A bigger claimed dataset. 2.2B+ contacts and 448M+ mobiles against 1B people.
  • Faster bulk pulls on paper. 500 records a request at 60 a minute beats 25 URLs at 15 a minute on single enrich.
  • No gate on contact data. Crustdata's dedicated contact endpoint sits behind an enterprise plan.

Where Crustdata wins

  • Live and signal data. Job search, social posts, live web endpoints and change watchers. Seamless.AI sells contacts, not a web graph.
  • Cheap search. 0.03 credits a result, and company identify and autocomplete are free (Crustdata pricing docs, September 2026).
  • Synchronous lookups. One call, one answer. No job to poll.
  • A credit cost per call in the docs. GET /account/endpoints returns the cost on your own account.
  • No annual lock-in stated. Seamless.AI's terms require 60 days' notice or a 12-month renewal.

If you need volume through an API

We build LeadOcean, so weigh this section accordingly. It holds 693M people and 63M companies, reachable over REST and a hosted MCP server with 12 tools. Free is 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and a limit of 100 requests per second per key (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

For bulk work, POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder, a column picker, the record price before you start and a CSV download (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). There is no dialer, sequencer or Chrome extension. If your reps live in Seamless.AI, or you need live web data, keep the tool you have.

FAQ

Which has more data, Seamless.AI or Crustdata?

Seamless.AI, by its own claim: 2.2B+ verified contacts against Crustdata's 1B people. These are homepage figures, not audited counts. Run the same 100 people through both and compare match rate.

Do Seamless.AI and Crustdata have MCP servers?

Both do. Seamless.AI's is at https://mcp.seamless.ai/mcp, has 57 tools and must be enabled on your account. Crustdata's is at https://install.crustdata.com/mcp and takes OAuth or an API key (Crustdata MCP docs, September 2026).

Which is cheaper, Seamless.AI or Crustdata?

You cannot tell from public pages. Seamless.AI publishes credits per license and no dollars. Crustdata publishes credits per call and no dollars per credit. Ask both for a quote at your volume and your record mix.

Which one can do 1M records a month?

Neither gives a simple answer. Seamless.AI needs 1,000,000 credits, about 100 Pro licenses, by quote. Crustdata needs 2,000,000 credits on /person/enrich at a rate set by your plan. Crustdata's default limits make single calls slow at that size, and batch jobs run asynchronously.

Does either have a free plan?

Seamless.AI has a free license with 50 credits and no refill. Crustdata lists no free plan or dollar price on its pricing page. LeadOcean's Free plan gives 1,000 records, one-off, with no card.
