Seamless.AI is a sales app with a Chrome extension and a credit meter. Findymail is a verified email finder that bills only for what it finds. They overlap on email lookups and little else.
Every fact below was checked in September 2026, with its source link. Where a vendor shows nothing we could read, the page says so.
Verdict
- Pick Seamless.AI if reps work inside its app, you want an email and a phone number from one credit, and you accept a quote and an annual contract.
- Pick Findymail if you want a verified email from a name and a domain for a sequencer, and you want to pay only for the emails it finds.
- Pick neither if you start from an audience, not a name list, and you need a fixed bill at 1M records. See the LeadOcean section below.

Data and coverage
Neither tool sells a database you filter and export in one pass. Seamless.AI is the larger of the two on paper. Findymail says nothing about size.
Seamless.AI claims 2.2B+ verified contacts, 448M+ verified mobile numbers, 121M+ companies and 100+ data points a profile (Seamless.AI API page, September 2026). The homepage adds 1.6B+ verified business emails. These are the vendor's own figures and we have not tested them.
Findymail publishes no count. It resolves emails in real time and returns one only if it verifies (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Coverage is a find rate on your list, and none is published.
The phone gap is the biggest difference:
- Seamless.AI: one credit covers a contact's email and phone together. You cannot buy an email alone for less.
- Findymail: a phone costs 10 credits, only when found. The endpoint returns US numbers only and nothing for EU citizens.
Seamless.AI says invalid emails are refunded automatically (Seamless.AI bulk credits, September 2026). Findymail returns only verified emails, so there is nothing to refund.
Search is a second split. Seamless.AI contact search takes 39 filter and modifier parameters (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). Findymail lead search is Intellimatch, a plain-language query capped at 5,000 companies.
Run 500 of your own rows through both. That beats any published rate.
Check the list shape first. Findymail starts from a name and a domain, or from a business profile URL. Seamless.AI accepts a name with a company or domain, an email, or a LinkedIn profile URL (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). If your list has profile URLs, both tools have an easier job.
API and developer experience
Both are REST APIs with a static key. Findymail answers one lookup per call. Seamless.AI takes up to 500 records per call and returns results later.
Seamless.AI, from its contact research docs, checked September 2026. It returns request IDs, then you poll GET /contacts/research/poll or wait for a webhook.
curl --request POST "https://api.seamless.ai/api/client/v2/contacts/research" \
--header "Token: $SEAMLESS_API_KEY" \
--header "Content-Type: application/json" \
--data '{"contacts": [{"contactName": "Jane Doe", "domain": "acme.com"}]}'Findymail, from its API docs, checked September 2026.
curl --request POST "https://app.findymail.com/api/search/name" \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $FINDYMAIL_API_KEY" \
--header "Content-Type: application/json" \
--data '{"name": "Jane Doe", "domain": "acme.com"}'The loop you write differs. With Findymail you send one request per person and handle a 402 when credits run out. With Seamless.AI you batch up to 500, store the request IDs and poll with a 2 to 5 second backoff (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026).
Seamless.AI also needs an active Public API license. Without one, calls return HTTP 422 with missingLicense.
On MCP, Seamless.AI exposes 57 tools across 13 domains. Search tools use no credits and research tools do (Seamless.AI MCP docs, September 2026). Findymail exposes 14 tools, including phone, employees, lead lists and exclusion lists.
Limits differ in kind. Seamless.AI caps requests per minute for the whole organization. Findymail caps concurrency per account, and its find-from-domain call allows only 5 at a time.
Pricing
Neither vendor prints a dollar price we could read, so the examples below count credits and licenses. Dollars come from a quote on one side and from a page we could not open on the other.
Seamless.AI sells licenses and credits. Free is 50 credits, one time. Basic is 250 a month and Pro is 10,000 a month per license, refreshed on the contract date (Seamless.AI credit docs, September 2026). The pricing page is a quote form (Seamless.AI pricing, September 2026).
Seamless.AI subscriptions are annual. Cancel at least 60 days before renewal or the contract renews for 12 months, and sales are final (terms, September 2026).
Findymail bills one credit per verified email and 10 per phone. A lookup that finds nothing costs nothing (Findymail API docs, September 2026). Plan prices sit behind a bot check on Findymail's pricing page.
At 10,000 records a month
- Seamless.AI: 10,000 research credits, with email and phone included. That is 10,000 / 10,000 = 1 Pro license. Searching first adds 10,000 / 10 = 1,000 credits, so 11,000 credits and 2 licenses. Price is a quote.
- Findymail: at most 10,000 finder credits, fewer for every lookup that finds no verified email. Adding phones is up to 10,000 x 10 = 100,000 credits, for US numbers only. Price is on a page we could not read.
At 1M records a month
- Seamless.AI: 1,000,000 credits, or 1,100,000 with a search first. At 10,000 credits a license, that is 100 Pro licenses or a bulk pool. No public 1M price. Both are quote only.
- Findymail: 1,000,000 finder credits, or 10,000,000 with phones. No public 1M price. Ask for a quote.
Time is not the blocker on Seamless.AI. At 500 records a call and 60 calls a minute, 1,000,000 records is 2,000 research calls, about 34 minutes of request windows, plus polling (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026). Async completion time is not documented.
Credits are public on both sides. Dollars are public on neither. At 1M, expect a sales call with either vendor.
Misses change the Findymail sum, because a miss is free. Seamless.AI's docs bill research at 1 credit per record submitted and do not say a missing record is refunded, so plan on the full count.
Where Seamless.AI wins
- Email and phone in one credit. A contact's mobile costs the same 1 credit as the email. On Findymail it costs 10.
- Phone outside the US. Findymail's phone endpoint returns US numbers only. Seamless.AI states no such limit, though we have not tested its coverage.
- Batch size. Up to 500 records per research request, against one lookup per Findymail call.
- A rep workspace. It has a Chrome extension and an app for reps, and the API is one part of that (Seamless.AI, September 2026).
- Filters. 39 contact search filter and modifier parameters, against a plain-language query on Findymail.
Where Findymail wins
- Live verification. Every email is checked when you ask, and only a verified one is returned or billed.
- Pay for found only. A miss is free. On Seamless.AI the docs do not say whether a missing record is charged (Seamless.AI docs, September 2026).
- Lead lists from a sentence. Intellimatch takes a query such as SaaS companies in the US with 50 to 200 employees. It can also find a contact and an email for each company it returns.
- Higher concurrency. 300 simultaneous requests, against 60 a minute per endpoint for the whole organization.
- A standalone verifier.
POST /api/verifychecks emails you already hold at 1 verifier credit.
If you need volume through an API
Neither tool is built to pull a million records from a filterable database. LeadOcean is a people and company database with 693M people and 63M companies. Free gives 1,000 records one-off with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Both plans get the same REST API and 12-tool MCP server, and POST /v1/exports returns up to 50,000 rows per request (LeadOcean exports docs, September 2026). It is not a name-and-domain lookup: you search by domain, then enrich by person_id. See LeadOcean pricing.
FAQ
Is Seamless.AI or Findymail better for finding emails?
Findymail, if you want a verified email from a name and domain and pay only on a hit. Seamless.AI, if you also want the phone number in the same credit and a rep app around it. Test both on 500 of your rows.
Which is cheaper, Seamless.AI or Findymail?
We cannot say. Seamless.AI publishes no dollar price, and Findymail's pricing page blocked our reader. At 1M records neither publishes a price. Credits are public: 1,000,000 on Seamless.AI, 1,000,000 on Findymail for emails.
Do both have an API and an MCP server?
Yes. Seamless.AI has a Token header API and a 57-tool MCP server that must be enabled on your account. Findymail has a Bearer-token API and a 14-tool MCP server.
Which one has phone numbers?
Both. Seamless.AI includes the phone in the same credit as the email and claims 448M+ verified mobiles. Findymail charges 10 credits per number and returns US numbers only. LeadOcean holds 166M people with a phone number.
Do they charge for contacts they cannot find?
Findymail does not: a credit is charged only when a verified email is found. Seamless.AI's docs mark a record with no result as missing on poll but do not say whether it is charged.
Is there a cheaper way to get 1M records?
If you can start from filters, yes. LeadOcean Pro is $499 a month flat, and counts are free. Read Seamless.AI alternatives and the Seamless.AI alternative page.
