AI-Ark alternatives

6 Best AI-Ark Alternatives in 2026 (Compared)

Six B2B data platforms for teams that outgrow AI-Ark's credits, 10,000-record caps and 5 requests a second, ranked for API, agent and volume buyers.

Get your free API key →Free to start. No credit card. 1,000 records to spend whenever you like.

People leave AI-Ark when its credit meter and job caps start to shape the pipeline. The API runs at 5 requests per second per key, and custom limits start at 450,000 credits a month (AI-Ark docs, September 2026). One search retrieves at most 10,000 records, and one export job holds 10,000 people. A person with a verified email costs 1 credit and a mobile number costs 5.

The pricing page says $2 to $4 per 1,000 credits above 30,000 credits a month. It prints no price for the Starter, Builder or Scale plans (AI-Ark pricing, September 2026). A real quote means a sales conversation.

This page ranks six alternatives by fit for people who pull data through an API, an agent or at volume. For a two-column view, read LeadOcean vs AI-Ark. For developer-only tools, see AI-Ark API alternatives.

LushaContacts and direct dials for sales repsFree (40 credits a month). Starter $49.90 a month ($37.45 billed yearly)No public 1M price. Top public tier is $977.40 a month for 10,000 credits
ClayWaterfall enrichment across vendorsFree (100 Data Credits a month). Launch $185 a month ($167 billed yearly)No public 1M price. Top self-serve tier is 200,000 Actions a month

"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Where a vendor sells no public plan at that size, the cell says so and names the highest public tier. Enterprise quotes can be lower, so ask each vendor at your volume.

For reference, AI-Ark lists $2 to $4 per 1,000 credits on plans above 30,000 credits a month. A person with a verified email is 1 credit, so 1M records is 1M credits. The pricing page shows no plan at that size, so AI-Ark has no public 1M price either.

What we evaluated

  • API and auth: whether a key works on every plan, and what the endpoints return per call.
  • Rate limits and bulk: the default per-key limit and how many records one call or job carries.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search and enrich through the server, and how it signs in.
  • Price model: seats, credits or a flat fee, and the cost of 1M records from the public price list.
  • What AI-Ark does that you may miss: lookalike search, an app for non-coders and verified emails at export.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no accuracy test, so we quote no quality numbers.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume pulls

LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters, and every plan gets both REST and MCP.

The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. That is 20 times AI-Ark's default of 5. There are no credits, and a very large month is paced down instead of cut off.

Sizing an audience is free. Send count=true as a query parameter with limit 1, and the call returns a total and spends no records.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/search?count=true" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"title":["VP Sales"],"country":["CA"],"limit":1}'

For bulk, POST /v1/exports takes a search and writes up to 50,000 rows per request to a CSV. A 1M-row pull is 20 requests over two days, because exports stop at 500,000 rows a day. On AI-Ark the same pull is 100 jobs of 10,000 people. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools (LeadOcean docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter and no seat count.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free, with OAuth sign-in and no key in a URL.
  • Free counts, and a miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.
  • Email status on every record, from verified to spam_trap.
  • 100 requests per second per key on every plan.

Cons

  • No lookalike search and no semantic text matching. You filter on fields and closed-list values.
  • An app with an export page, not a rep workspace. No sequences, dialer or CRM.
  • Exports stop at 500,000 rows a day, and a v2 contact miss costs one record.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need volume and a fixed bill.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

2. Apollo: best for an app and an API on seat plans

apollo homepage

Apollo is the closest app-first match for AI-Ark. It lists 240M contacts and 30M companies, with an app, a REST API and a hosted MCP server (Apollo pricing, September 2026). Every plan includes API access, Free included, and the MCP server works on any plan at no extra cost (Apollo developer FAQ, September 2026). The MCP server uses OAuth 2.0 or an API key.

Plans are priced per seat, with a credit pool. Basic is $65 per seat a month for 2,500 credits ($49 billed yearly). Professional is $99 for 4,000 credits ($79 billed yearly), and Organization is $149 for 6,000 ($119 billed yearly, 3 seats minimum). An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 8, against AI-Ark's 5. Credits expire at the end of each cycle (Apollo API pricing, September 2026).

The API limits are workable. Enrichment endpoints allow 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans, and bulk enrichment takes 10 people per request. Database search is capped at 200 a minute and 50,000 a day on paid plans (Apollo rate limits, September 2026). Volume is where the seat model bites: 1M email credits a month at the Professional rate is 250 seats, or $24,750 a month at list. Apollo prints no price per extra credit, and it does not say whether it sells that many seats self-serve. For a head-to-head, read LeadOcean vs Apollo.

Pros

  • API and MCP on every plan, including Free.
  • Enrichment at 1,000 requests a minute on paid plans, far above AI-Ark's 300.
  • A rep app on the same seat plan, so one login covers app and API.
  • An email is 1 credit, the same as AI-Ark's search plus email.

Cons

  • Per-seat pricing turns volume into a seat count. 1M credits a month is 250 Professional seats at list.
  • A phone number costs 8 credits, and credits expire each cycle.
  • Search is capped at 50,000 requests a day on paid plans, and bulk enrichment takes 10 people per call.

Best for: sales teams that want a rep app and an API on one login, at tens of thousands of records a month.

Pricing: Basic $65, Professional $99, Organization $149 per seat a month, or $49, $79 and $119 billed yearly (Apollo pricing, September 2026).

3. Prospeo: best for verified emails with a public add-on ladder

Prospeo is a credit-based finder for verified emails and mobile numbers. Its API docs state 200M+ contacts and 30M+ companies, behind a REST API and a hosted MCP server (Prospeo API docs, September 2026). The MCP server has 8 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026). Read the LeadOcean vs Prospeo page for the full table.

Plans are per user, with credits in a shared pool. Starter is $49 a month for 2,000 credits ($37 billed yearly), Growth is $99 for 5,000 ($74), and Pro is $249 for 15,000 ($187). A verified email is 1 credit and a mobile is 10, email included. A miss costs nothing (Prospeo help center, September 2026).

Prospeo is one of the few vendors that publishes a path to 1M. The add-on slider tops out at 350,000 credits for $3,500 a month. With 44 Pro seats that gives 1,010,000 credits for $14,456 a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Daily caps differ by plan: the Enrich API allows 2,000 calls a day on Starter, 5,000 on Growth and 500,000 on Pro (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026).

Pros

  • A public add-on ladder to 350,000 credits a month, so 1M is priced, not quoted.
  • Enrich API at 30 requests a second on Pro, six times AI-Ark's default.
  • Mobile numbers include the email in the same 10 credits.
  • A hosted MCP server with OAuth.

Cons

  • Credits expire each cycle, while AI-Ark's pricing page lists rollover.
  • Starter and Growth cap the Enrich API at 5 requests a second and a few thousand calls a day.
  • A mobile costs 10 credits, twice AI-Ark's 5.

Best for: teams that buy verified emails by the tens of thousands and want a priced path to 1M.

Pricing: Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month, or $37, $74 and $187 billed yearly (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

4. ZoomInfo: best for intent signals and a full suite

ZoomInfo is the enterprise suite. Its Sales page claims 420M+ contacts, 120M+ direct dials and 145M+ companies, with 300+ filter attributes and buyer intent data (ZoomInfo Sales, October 2026). Most platform plans are billed annually upfront and quoted by sales (ZoomInfo, July 2026).

The API path is GTM.AI, ZoomInfo's pay-as-you-go API, MCP server and CLI. Search, lookup and find similar are free. One data credit enriches or exports one company, contact or intent record, and a record is charged once per 12 months (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026). The free tier gives 1,000 data credits with API and MCP access, no card.

List price falls from $0.45 a credit at 100 credits to $0.25 at 100,000 credits, which costs $25,000. Past that, it is Enterprise (GTM.AI pricing, September 2026). Limits are 5 requests a second on Builder, 25 on Standard and 35 on Scaling, and batch enrichment takes 25 records per call (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026). See LeadOcean vs ZoomInfo for the long version.

Pros

  • Free find similar search, the nearest match to AI-Ark's lookalike feature.
  • Buyer intent, website visitor data and 300+ filter attributes.
  • GTM.AI limits run from 5 to 35 requests a second.
  • API, MCP server and CLI on a free tier with no card.

Cons

  • No public price at 1M. The credit slider stops at 100,000 credits.
  • Platform plans are annual and quoted, with no public price list.
  • Batch enrichment takes 25 records per call.

Best for: sales teams that want intent signals and one suite, and API buyers who can live on credits.

Pricing: GTM.AI pay as you go from $20, $0.45 to $0.25 a data credit. Platform plans quoted by sales (GTM.AI pricing, September 2026).

5. Lusha: best for contacts and direct dials for reps

lusha homepage

Lusha is a contact data tool for sales reps with an API and a hosted MCP server. Its homepage lists 525M+ contacts, 165M+ emails and 117M+ direct dials (Lusha, September 2026). Every plan includes an API key, Free included (Lusha API guide, September 2026).

Credits are the meter. An email costs 1 credit and a phone number costs 5, the same as AI-Ark's mobile. A bulk request adds 1 credit per 25 results and carries up to 100 records (Lusha credits docs, September 2026). Starter is $49.90 a month for 400 credits ($37.45 billed yearly), Pro is $69.90 for 600 ($52.45), and Premium is $399.90 for 3,400 ($299.95) (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

The limits are the catch. Premium allows 300 requests a minute per key, which is 5 a second, and the top public step is 10,000 credits a month for $977.40. That is a hundredth of 1M. The MCP server has 50 tools and shares the REST credit pool (Lusha MCP docs, September 2026). See LeadOcean vs Lusha.

Pros

  • Phone numbers at 5 credits, the same as AI-Ark.
  • API key on every plan and a hosted MCP server with 50 tools.
  • A rep-friendly app and extension on the same credits.

Cons

  • No public 1M price. The biggest public tier is 10,000 credits a month.
  • Premium allows 300 requests a minute, the same 5 a second as AI-Ark.
  • Starter holds 400 credits a month and Premium 3,400, so volume work means a Scale quote.

Best for: sales reps who need emails and direct dials in an app, at a few thousand records a month.

Pricing: Starter $49.90, Pro $69.90, Premium $399.90 a month, or $37.45, $52.45 and $299.95 billed yearly. Scale is quoted (Lusha pricing, September 2026).

6. Clay: best for waterfall enrichment across vendors

clay homepage

Clay is a workflow table that enriches rows from 150+ data partners rather than a dataset of its own (Clay pricing, September 2026). AI-Ark's own docs list Clay templates, so some teams run both. Clay has a Public API on every plan (Clay docs, September 2026) and an MCP server (Clay MCP guide, September 2026).

Pricing has two meters. Launch is $185 a month for 15,000 Actions and 2,500 Data Credits ($167 billed yearly). Growth is $495 for 40,000 Actions and 6,000 Data Credits ($446 billed yearly). Clay says a fully enriched record costs 6 to 20 Data Credits plus an Action (Clay docs, September 2026). A lookup that returns nothing is free.

Scale is the limit. The largest self-serve tiers are 200,000 Actions and 50,000 Data Credits a month, and Actions cannot be bought as top-ups (Clay pricing, September 2026). The Public API has a per-workspace limit with no published number (Clay developer docs, September 2026). Read the LeadOcean vs Clay page for a feature table.

Pros

  • Waterfalls across many providers in one table.
  • Public API on every plan, Free included, plus an MCP server.
  • No charge when an enrichment finds nothing.

Cons

  • No public 1M price, and the Action ceiling blocks the self-serve path.
  • Two meters, Actions and Data Credits, plus a 30 percent premium on extra credits.
  • No rate limit number published for the Public API.

Best for: operators who build enrichment workflows across several vendors and run them in a table.

Pricing: Launch $185 and Growth $495 a month, or $167 and $446 billed yearly. Enterprise is quoted (Clay pricing, September 2026).

How to choose

  • You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second.
  • Your reps want an app and an API on one login: Apollo, and budget by the seat.
  • You buy verified emails by the tens of thousands: Prospeo, with a published add-on ladder to 1M.
  • You need buyer intent and a full suite: ZoomInfo, through GTM.AI if you want the API.
  • You need direct dials for a small team: Lusha, at 5 credits a phone number.
  • You orchestrate several vendors in a table: Clay, with the Action ceiling in mind.
  • You filter on the tech a company runs: read Wappalyzer alternatives for dedicated technographics.

Verdict

For API, agent and volume buyers, LeadOcean is the pick: $499 a month flat against AI-Ark's credit meter, at 100 requests per second. Apollo wins for a sales team that wants an app and an API on one seat, and Prospeo wins for a priced path to 1M verified emails. ZoomInfo is for intent data and a suite, Lusha for a few reps who need direct dials, and Clay for people who stitch vendors together. Stay on AI-Ark if lookalike search and its app matter more than volume, and keep its free plan to compare.

FAQ

What is the best AI-Ark alternative for API users?

LeadOcean, if you pull data in code or through an agent. It has REST and MCP on every plan, 100 requests per second and a flat $499 Pro plan. Apollo is the better pick if your team also wants an app.

Which AI-Ark alternative has lookalike search?

ZoomInfo's GTM.AI lists find similar as a free call (ZoomInfo API docs, September 2026). LeadOcean has no lookalike search, so you filter on fields and closed-list values instead. If lookalike discovery is your main use, keep AI-Ark for it.

How much does AI-Ark cost per record?

A person with a verified email is 1 credit. The Usage-based plan is $49 for 5,000 credits, and plans above 30,000 credits list $2 to $4 per 1,000 (AI-Ark pricing, September 2026). A mobile number is 5 credits.

Which alternative is cheapest at 1M records a month?

LeadOcean, at $499 a month flat. Among the others, only Prospeo ($14,456 a month) and Apollo ($24,750 a month) publish enough to price 1M records. ZoomInfo, Lusha and Clay have no public 1M price.

Do the alternatives have an MCP server like AI-Ark?

All six do. AI-Ark's hosted server takes the API key in the URL (AI-Ark MCP docs, September 2026). LeadOcean, Apollo and Prospeo sign in with OAuth, and Lusha shares its credit pool with the REST API.

What does LeadOcean cost, and do I need a card?

Free gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat, with no credits and no per-record price. Past the fair-usage line a very large month is paced down instead of cut off, and support can raise the headroom.
