People leave Anymail Finder when the job grows past looking up one named person at a time. It charges 1 credit per verified email and 2 for a decision-maker. The largest monthly plan is 100,000 credits for $799, and above that you buy one-time packs (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). Prices here are USD list prices from the pricing page USD view. The page shows Canadian dollars to visitors in Canada. It returns emails for people you already name. Its API docs list no database search and no phone endpoint (Anymail Finder API docs, September 2026), so you need another tool to build the list first.

This page ranks six alternatives for API and volume buyers. LeadOcean is first because it is a searchable database with one flat price, REST and an MCP server. For a two-column view, see LeadOcean vs Anymail Finder. For plans and credit costs, read Anymail Finder pricing.

ProspeoReps who want an extension and pay per userFree 100 credits. Starter $49 per user a monthNo single tier reaches 1M. Cheapest public path is $14,456 a month (44 Pro seats plus the $3,500 add-on)
FullEnrichWaterfall emails and mobilesPro $55 a month for 1,000 creditsNo public 1M price. Top monthly tier: 100,000 credits for $3,500

"1M records" here means 1M work-email lookups that return a result, one credit each where the vendor uses credits. Figures are list-price arithmetic. Where a vendor sells no plan at 1M, the cell shows its top public tier or cheapest public path, not a price. For reference, Anymail Finder's 1M-credit pack is $4,990, about $0.0050 a credit (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). Its monthly plans run from $29 for 400 credits to $799 for 100,000 credits. The USD view is the same page with ?currency=usd.

What we evaluated

  • API access: which plan opens it, how you call it, and the default rate limit.
  • MCP: whether an agent can search or enrich through the server, or only read documentation.
  • Price model: flat, credits or seats, and what 1M records a month costs at list price.
  • Email quality controls: live verification, stored status values, bounce policy and what a miss costs.
  • Limits that bite: plan ceilings, daily caps, seat rules and find-rate clauses.

We read each vendor's pricing page and docs in September 2026. We ran no find-rate or accuracy test for this page, so we quote no quality numbers of our own. Where a vendor quotes a number, we label it a vendor claim.

1. LeadOcean: best for API, agent and volume buyers

LeadOcean is one dataset behind one REST API and one MCP server. It holds 693M people, 366M with an email and 166M with a phone number, plus 63M companies. You search with 50 people filters and 34 company filters. Counts are free. So unlike Anymail Finder, you can build the list and get the emails in the same place.

The price does not move with volume. Pro is $499 a month with unlimited searches, enrichments and lookups, 5 API keys and 100 requests per second per key. There are no credits and no overage invoice. A very large month is paced down to one request a minute until the reset, not cut off. More headroom is one email to support.

bash
curl -X POST "https://api.leadocean.io/v1/people/enrich" \
  -H "x-api-key: $LEADOCEAN_API_KEY" \
  -H "content-type: application/json" \
  -d '{"linkedin_url":"https://www.linkedin.com/in/jane-doe","reveal_email":true}'

Work emails are also at GET /v2/people/email/work, and phones are at GET /v2/people/phone. The MCP server at https://api.leadocean.io/mcp signs in with OAuth 2.1 and exposes 12 tools, from search_leads to find_phone and export_leads (LeadOcean MCP docs, September 2026). Every person or company returned counts as one record.

Pros

  • Flat $499 a month at any volume, with no credit meter.
  • Search by 50 people filters, then pull emails and phones from the same database.
  • Email status on every record, from verified to spam_trap.
  • REST and MCP on every plan, including Free. A miss on POST /v1/people/enrich is a free 404.

Cons

  • No live check against the mail server at lookup time. You read the stored email_status and decide what to send.
  • The v2 contact endpoints cost one record per call, including a call that finds nothing.
  • No Chrome extension, sequencer or CRM. The app has an Exports page with a filter builder and CSV download.

Best for: engineers, RevOps and agents that need search, emails and a fixed bill at volume.

Pricing: Free is 1,000 records, one-off, no card. Pro is $499 a month, flat (LeadOcean pricing, September 2026).

2. LeadMagic: best for cheap credits on valid emails

LeadMagic is the closest to Anymail Finder's pay-on-find model with a lower unit price at scale. It is a credit-based enrichment API with 400M+ people profiles and 25M+ companies, reachable through REST, CSV, a command-line tool and a hosted MCP server (LeadMagic, September 2026). Failed lookups cost nothing.

The credit price falls as you climb the plans. Essential is $99 a month for 5,000 credits. Professional is $499 for 50,000. Ultimate is $849 for 100,000, or $0.00849 a credit (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026). A valid email costs 1 credit and a mobile costs 5. Above Ultimate you need an Enterprise quote.

The Email Finder endpoint allows 600 requests a minute. LeadMagic also states that a sustained find rate below 10% can lead to throttling or suspension (LeadMagic docs, September 2026). Bad input lists carry a real risk. The MCP server uses OAuth, and a preview_cost call shows the price of a large job first (LeadMagic docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • The lowest per-credit list price in this group, at $0.00849 on Ultimate.
  • No charge when an email is not found, the same rule as Anymail Finder.
  • Hosted MCP with a cost preview before large operations.
  • Also does people and company search, which Anymail Finder lacks.

Cons

  • The top self-serve plan is 100,000 credits, so 1M a month needs Enterprise.
  • A smaller stated database, at 400M+ people profiles.
  • A minimum find-rate policy can throttle lists with poor match rates.

Best for: teams that enrich a few hundred thousand valid emails a month and want the cheapest credits.

Pricing: Essential $99, Growth $249, Professional $499, Ultimate $849 a month (LeadMagic pricing, September 2026).

3. Findymail: best for live-verified emails

Findymail is the nearest match to Anymail Finder's core product. It verifies each address when you ask and returns only verified emails. Phone lookups return US numbers only, and nothing for EU citizens (Findymail API docs, September 2026).

Findymail's pricing page blocks automated reading, so we publish no Findymail price here. Plans, credit costs and the bounce guarantee are advertised on Findymail's pricing page.

The API allows 300 concurrent requests. The official MCP server at mcp.findymail.com exposes 14 tools and signs in through the browser or a bearer token (Findymail Cursor plugin, September 2026). Lead search is a plain-language query capped at 5,000 companies, so it is not a structured filter API.

Pros

  • Every email verified at request time, like Anymail Finder.
  • A bounce guarantee advertised on its pricing page. We have not tested it.
  • Chrome extension and one-click push to Instantly, Smartlead, Lemlist and Woodpecker (Findymail, September 2026).

Cons

  • No public price we could read, so you cannot size 1M a month without checking the pricing page or asking sales.
  • Phone numbers cover the US only.
  • Search is a text query, not filters by job function, seniority or funding.

Best for: outbound teams and agencies that want verified emails and a sequencer push.

Pricing: Not published here. See Findymail's pricing page.

4. Hunter: best for domain lookups with outreach attached

Hunter is an email finder with sequences built in, priced in credits. One credit is one email found, and verifying an email costs half a credit. Hunter's homepage cites 150,430,313 verified email addresses (Hunter, September 2026). It is an email index, not a people and company database.

The free plan gives 50 credits a month. Starter is $49 a month ($34 billed yearly) for 2,000 credits. Growth is $149 for 10,000. Scale is $299 a month ($209 billed yearly) for 25,000 credits (Hunter pricing, September 2026). Scale is the top self-serve plan. More volume means Enterprise or a custom credit pack. Hunter's Data Platform (API and bulk only) sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900, bought once and valid 12 months (Hunter Data Platform, September 2026).

Email Finder and Domain Search allow 15 requests a second and 500 a minute. Discover allows 5 a second (Hunter API docs, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.hunter.io/mcp takes an API key or OAuth and spends your plan credits (Hunter MCP, September 2026).

Pros

  • Credible API limits: 15 requests a second on the core endpoints.
  • MCP server on every plan, using plan credits.
  • Sequences, a browser extension and a Google Sheets add-on in one product.
  • Unlimited users on every plan.

Cons

  • Scale stops at 25,000 credits a month, so volume needs a sales call.
  • Domain Search returns 10 results by default and 100 at most per call.
  • Email status has six values, fewer than a full status field.

Best for: teams that find emails by domain and send from the same tool.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $149, Scale $299 a month, or less billed yearly (Hunter pricing, September 2026).

5. Prospeo: best for reps who want an extension

Prospeo sells an email and mobile finder per user, on credits, with a REST API, a Chrome extension and an MCP server. One verified email costs 1 credit and one mobile costs 10 (Prospeo help center, September 2026). A search page of up to 25 results also costs 1 credit.

Plans are priced per user. Free has 100 credits a month. Its API access is disputed. The pricing table shows no public API on Free. The help center lists limited API access at 50 requests a day, and the API docs say free API access for all users (Prospeo help center, September 2026). Starter is $49 per user a month, Growth is $99 and Pro is $249 (Prospeo pricing, September 2026). Paid plans allow 5 enrichment requests a second and 2,000 a day on Starter. Pro allows 30 a second and 500,000 a day (Prospeo rate limits, September 2026).

Search results carry no email or mobile, so you pay a second time to enrich them. One search stops at 25,000 results (Prospeo API docs, September 2026). The MCP server at mcp.prospeo.io exposes 8 tools and signs in with OAuth 2.0 or an API key (Prospeo MCP docs, September 2026).

Pros

  • Search filters plus enrichment in one product, with up to 41 filters on Pro.
  • Chrome extension, CRM sync and job-change tracking on higher plans.
  • A miss costs no credit, and re-enriching a record within 90 days is free (Prospeo enrich docs, September 2026).

Cons

  • Per-user pricing, so a team adds seats and credits together.
  • Daily request caps of 2,000 and 5,000 on the two lower paid plans.
  • Search is thin: 25 results a page, and no contact data in the results.
  • Add-on credits stop at 350,000 a month or 500,000 a year, then extended pricing is on request (Prospeo help center, September 2026).

Best for: reps and small teams that want an extension, CRM sync and pay-as-you-go emails.

Pricing: Free. Starter $49, Growth $99, Pro $249 per user a month (Prospeo pricing, September 2026).

6. FullEnrich: best for waterfall emails and mobiles behind an API

FullEnrich queries 25+ sources for each contact and charges only for what it finds. It is the route to mobiles that a single-source finder misses. Its pricing page lists API access, people and company search and an MCP server on Pro (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Credits are the meter. A work email costs 1 credit, a personal email 3 and a mobile 10. The entry plan is Pro at $29 a month for 500 credits ($0.058 each). The page opens on $55 a month for 1,000 credits ($0.055 each). Search costs 0.25 credits per person returned (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). A mobile at $0.055 a credit costs $0.55.

The API allows 60 calls a minute, with up to 100 contacts in a bulk request (FullEnrich docs, September 2026). The MCP server can search, enrich and export, and it asks before it spends credits (FullEnrich help, September 2026).

Pros

  • Waterfall across 25+ sources, so one call can cover several vendors.
  • Search, enrichment and export in the MCP server.
  • SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and CCPA listed by the vendor.

Cons

  • The highest credit price here, and no public price at 1M. The top monthly tier is 100,000 credits for $3,500 a month ($0.035 a credit), then contact sales.
  • A default limit of 60 API calls a minute.
  • Mobiles cost 10 credits, so phone-heavy pulls get costly fast.

Best for: teams that want waterfall emails and mobiles, at modest volume, through an API or an agent.

Pricing: Pro from $29 a month for 500 credits, Enterprise custom (FullEnrich pricing, September 2026).

Sources are linked in each tool section, all checked in September 2026. Vendors change plans often, so confirm on the pricing page before you buy. The 1M column is list-price arithmetic on email lookups. Findymail publishes no price we could read. Hunter's figure is its Data Platform price for 1,000,000 Search credits, a one-off purchase valid 12 months, not a monthly bill. LeadMagic, Prospeo and FullEnrich sell no plan at 1M a month, so their cells show the top public tier or the cheapest public path. Prospeo's path is 44 Pro seats at $249 plus the 350,000-credit add-on at $3,500 for 1,010,000 credits. Billed yearly it is $11,223 once.

How to choose

  • You pull data in code or with an agent, at volume: LeadOcean. One flat price, search plus emails, REST and MCP on every plan.
  • You buy valid emails by the hundred thousand: LeadMagic, at $0.00849 a credit on Ultimate.
  • Live verification matters most: Findymail, the closest match to Anymail Finder. Check its pricing page for the bounce guarantee.
  • You look up emails by domain and send from the same tool: Hunter.
  • Your reps live in a browser extension: Prospeo, and budget per user.
  • You need mobiles that one source misses: FullEnrich, at 10 credits per mobile.
  • You only need verified emails at low volume, for names you already have: stay on Anymail Finder. Its pay-on-find model is hard to beat there.
  • You are also weighing Clearbit: read Clearbit vs Anymail Finder.

Verdict

LeadOcean wins for API, agent and volume buyers. It is the only tool here that searches 693M people, returns emails and phones from the same database, and charges one flat price. LeadMagic wins for cheap valid emails and Findymail for live verification. Hunter suits domain lookups with outreach, Prospeo suits reps who want an extension, and FullEnrich suits waterfall mobiles. Anymail Finder stays the simple choice for a known list at low volume. Otherwise start on the free plan and compare the same lookups.

FAQ

Why do teams leave Anymail Finder?

Cost and shape. Every valid email is a credit, and the top monthly plan is 100,000 credits (Anymail Finder pricing, September 2026). It looks up people you name and does not search a database. Bulk jobs take up to 100,000 rows at an average of 1,000 rows in 5 minutes (Anymail Finder bulk docs, September 2026).

What is the cheapest Anymail Finder alternative at volume?

At 1M records a month, LeadOcean at $499 flat is cheapest on list price. Hunter sells 1,000,000 Search credits for $6,900 once on its Data Platform, valid 12 months. Findymail publishes no price we could read. LeadMagic has no public 1M price: its top tier is $849 a month for 100,000 credits. Prospeo's cheapest public path is $14,456 a month. FullEnrich has no public 1M price: its top monthly tier is $3,500 for 100,000 credits. Enterprise quotes narrow the gap.

Does Anymail Finder have a rate limit?

Its docs say no rate limits and no daily call caps (Anymail Finder docs, September 2026). Searches run live, so each takes a few seconds. LeadOcean caps each key at 100 requests per second, Hunter at 15 a second and FullEnrich at 60 calls a minute.

Which Anymail Finder alternative has an MCP server that returns data?

All six do. LeadOcean's has 12 tools and covers search, enrichment, phones and export. Anymail Finder has its own server for email find and verify (Anymail Finder docs, September 2026). Compare the tools each server exposes before you choose.

Can I use LeadOcean with Anymail Finder?

Yes. Use LeadOcean to build the list and pull the emails it holds, then send the addresses you are about to use to Anymail Finder for a live check. You pay there only for addresses it confirms. The steps are on LeadOcean vs Anymail Finder.

Do I need a credit card to try LeadOcean?

No. The free plan needs a work email and no card. It gives you 1,000 records, one-off, with the same API and MCP server as Pro. See pricing.
